Chapter 04

TwinstarDragon: you completely lost me. You were talking about katsuki, and i responded about him and mineta. However, you responded that you were talking about ochaco? You've made me INCREDIBLY confused. Also, mineta's karma was being turned into a hot chick, so guys would hit on HIM relentlessly. That was the plan for eri.
Some time later
Oh, wait, i think i know what you meant, though it took me at least 20 minutes to get it. Katsuki was laughing at mineta, then he was laughing at ochaco, after she revealed herself to him and jiro.

Her mother gained a gentle smile. "That's right, eri. Mama's here," she said. The little girl with wings and a single short horn, revealed to be eri, smiled a bit in her sleep, as she snuggled deeper in her mother's embrace.
Now
After a few weeks since her evolution, Izumi was wandering in the labyrinth, when the song she loved when she was human came to mind. "Huh, it's been so long since i even thought of that song. *chuckle*, that song described me, and the way I felt about my life, perfectly," she said.
"Now i feel like singing it, but i will do so, only after i build a new nest," she said. With that decision made, she kept exploring for the perfect place to make a nest. After searching for a few hours, she found the perfect spot for a nest. It was large, but not too large. There were only two tunnels that lead to it, and there was a stone platform jutting slightly off the stone floor. "Perfect, she said, before she started to make her nest.
It took a few hours, but her new nest was larger than her previous ones, and she even installed a primitive alarm system, like one of her earlier nests. "Haah, now that i'm finished, i guess i'll sing," she said. And so, she started to sing the song that touched her soul, back when she was human, and male.
Lost - linkin park
(an: i don't own this, i just love it, and been listening to it on repeat for hours, since sometime yesterday)
Just a scar somewhere down inside of me
Something I can not repair
Even though it will always be
I pretend it isn't there (This is how I feel)
I'm trapped in yesterday (Just a memory)
Where the pain is all I know (This is all I know)
And I'll never break away (Can't break free)
'Cause when I'm alone
I'm lost in these memories
Living behind my own illusion
Lost all my dignity
Living inside my own confusion
But I'm tired, I will always be afraid
Of the damage I've received
Broken promises they made
And how blindly I believed (This is all I know)
I will never break away (Can't break free)
'Cause when I'm alone
I'm lost in these memories
Living behind my own illusion
Lost all my dignity
Living inside my own confusion
I try to keep this pain inside
But I will never be alright
I try to keep this pain inside
But I will never be alright
I try to keep this pain inside
But I will never be alright
I try to keep this pain inside
But I will never be alright
I'm lost in these memories
Living behind my own illusion
Lost all my dignity
Living inside my own confusion
Just as she finished singing, she felt something running down her cheeks. She put a scythe foreleg on her cheek, and pulled it away, to see what the thing on her cheeks were. "Huh?" she asked in surprise. "I'm crying?" she asked in disbelief.
She wipes the tears away, just as her stomach growls. "Right, i'll think about it, after i eat," she decided. She then leaves her nest to go to the middle stratum. Shortly before she returns to her nest, however, a bunch of humans appear not far from her newest nest. Most of them were knights, with one of them clearly being a kind of old mage.
POV change to humans
"Buirimus, do we REALLY need to keep walking like this? Can't we take a break?" the old man asked. "Master rodandt will you PLEASE stop complaining?" the guy, buirimus, asked him. "Can we please just take a small break? My feet are at their breaking point!" rodandt exclaimed. "Are you in THAT much of a hurry to get home to see that new baby of yours?" rodandt asked buirimus.
"This has NOTHING to do with that," buirimus denied as he looked behind him to look at the old spellcaster. He had a healthy blush on his cheeks. "Although with YOUR lovely wife, I'D be in a hurry, too," rodandt said in a teasing tone, the soldiers behind rodandt chuckling silently, if their body language is to be believed.
"That's entirely inappropriate," buirimus said as he turned and faced the mage, face entirely red in a flustered and embarrassed rage. "Come on, it was just a joke," rodandt dismissed. "This in no time for jokes," buirimus retorted. "We aren't here just for the purpose of scouting," buirimus began. "A large number of the monsters have fled from the great elroe labyrinth, causing mass panic and destruction on the towns and cities on the outside! Reports say that the cause is to be a kind of spider monster. The spider in question is believed to be S-rank, the most DANGEROUS classification!" buirimus reminded the old spell user.
"I know, and we're here to exterminate the spider monster in question, correct?" the mage said, before he looked behind him to look at buirimus. "Don't worry, you're in safe hands as long as i'm here. The situation is MORE than handled," rodandt said.
Buirimus gave a relieved smile. "That's great to hear, master rodandt," buirimus said in a relieved voice. "now that THAT'S settled, how about a break, huh?" rodandt asked in excitement. "No," buirimus said, before he walked off, the soldiers laughing at the old man as they followed buirimus. "You're no fun," rodandt complained.
Hours later, they stopped at an area. "So, THIS is the area that it was sighted in?" rodandt asked. "It may have moved its nest somewhere else, but the sightings of it were around here," buirimus said. "Agh, help me," a soldier said.
Buirimus went to go help the soldier, when rodandts hand grabbed his shoulder, and the mage said "wait!" Buirimus looked at the mage. "Shed some light in that area, and look VERY closely," he ordered. A pair of soldiers did as the mage ordered, and what they all saw surprised them.
"Webs?" buirimus asked. Rodandt had a hand wrapped around his chin in thought, as he smiled. "It would seem as though we've found the right place," rodandt said. Buirimus drew his sword and swung it at the webs, only for the sword to get caught in the webs.
"What?" buirimus asked, as he tried to pull his sword free, but no luck. "They can't be cut?" rodandt asked. "Alright, then they should be able to be burned," he decided. He looked at the caught soldier, before saying, "this'll get rather hot, but try not to move," rodandt said. "Alright," said the soldier in the web.
"Wait, don't-" buirimus was trying to say, but it was too late. The mage pointed at the webs with his staff and hand, while a red magic circle appeared at the end of the staff, as the mage used fire magic. Unfortunately, it would take MORE than just that, for the webs to burn.
"Oh, it's not burning very easily," rodandt said in thought. "Very well, i'll have to increase the firepower!" he declared, before he shot forth a stronger wave of fire. The knight was freed the a *thud* and an "oof" as he fell to the ground.
However, the price for freeing the knight was the destruction of the nest that the monster they're looking for had JUST built. "Well, whoever's home this was, they'll be absolutely furious," buirimus said, as he sheathed his sword.
"Oh, i doubt that," rodandt said dismissively. "Considering the sheer amount of flame used, the monster has either long since abandoned this nest, or it happens to be elsewhere at this point in time," rodandt said.
After he finished saying that, the group then decided to investigate the burning nest. After a few minutes, rodandt found something, and picked it up. It looked to be some kind of alarm made of stone and webbing. "Hold on. A MONSTER made this?" he asked in disbelief, as he looked at the item in his hand again. "That's just plain implausible," he said.
"This area is near a path that leads to the middle stratum," their guide said. The group looked around a bit, just as the target of their hunt appeared above them. Rondandt noticed, though. He gasped a bit, before bowing his head and closing his eyes. "Well, buirimus," he began, getting buirimus's attention. "Yes?" he asked. "It seems the master of the house has returned," he stated cryptically.
Buirimus understood what he was saying immediately, and he looked up, causing them all to look up, as well. The room brightened up, until they saw a rather large green spider with red eyes, spikes covering its back and scythes for forelegs. The spider turned to face where its nest was SUPPOSED to be, but it saw a burning pile of webbing.
The spider had its forelegs over its head as it let out an enraged shriek, before it fell off the cave ceiling and landed on the ground on its legs. "It's blocking the only way back," the guide said. The spider turned towards the guide, causing him to freeze.
Imagine the surprise of all of the humans, when the spider wrapped the guide in a healthy amount of webbing, before being pulled to the spider, who then proceeded to stick the webbed-up guide to the wall.
Turning to the rest of the humans, the spider's eyes glowed for a few seconds, before a green spot of light appeared on rondandts chest, right where the heart was. The old man fell to his knees in shock. "Master rodandt, are you ok?!" buirimus asked as he knelt next to the mage.
The mage's face was in an expression of pain as he held his chest. However, after a few seconds, the mage moved his hand away from his chest, as he felt no pain. instead, he felt surprise, as he looked at the palm of his hand. "It CAN'T be. Is it appraising us?" he asked in disbelief, before he held his hand out to the spider, palm forward, as he used [appraisal] on the spider.
Species: zoa ele
Name: izumi
What followed that was a typical status. However, the mage was in shock and disbelief at what he saw. Its health, speed, resistance, magic and sp were off the charts. He saw that it had quite a few skills. However, three skills stood out to him.
[ruler of mercy]
[ruler of perseverance]
[height of occultism]
"Magnificent. This spider is absolutely magnificent," he said in wonder. Just then, his appraisal of the zoa ele became glitchy, before it read 'cannot be appraised'. "It can interfere with appraisals? That's a first," rondandt said in disbelief.
Buirimus then forcibly picked up the mage. "No wait, let me go!" the mage begged. "This monster is the source of the changes on the labyrinth, i'm certain of it! The other monsters, they were running from it in fear of its power!" the mage yelled. That sentence caused the knights to ready their weapons to prepare to fight the green zoa ele.
The old man was struggling to get closer to the spider, before buirimus punched him in the face and threw him. "Come back to your senses, old man. If you don't we'll all be killed," buirimus said. "I'm fine now, i think," the mage said, as he panted in exhaustion. I think the only way we'll all get out of here is with group teleportation," he said, as he wiped his mouth and picked up his staff.
"Understood, sir," buirimus said to the mage, before he began to order the knights. "Defend master rodandt with your very lives!" he ordered. "Yes, sir!" the knights replied from their position in front of the green zoa ele.
Buirimus walked forward a few steps, before he started to use [summoning] magic. "Kirekock," he said, summoning a large black bird. "Rock turtle," he summoned a large turtle that was much larger than the one that izumi defeated a while back. "Feveroot," he summoned a large pink tiger. "Suiten" he summoned one final monster: a fish in a floating bubble made of water.
"Old man, these monsters are powerful, but i don't know how long they'll last against it. Prepare the teleportation circle as fast as you can," buirimus said. "Attack!" he commanded the creatures and knights.
The knights and most of the monsters he summoned moved to attack, but the rock turtle moved to defend him. The spider quickly killed the knights, before it moved to the monsters attacking it. "Kirekock," he ordered. The bird monster shot forth a blast of wind at the spider, who dodged it.
"Suiten," buirimus commanded. Suiten shot forth a powerful blast of water at the spider, launching it against the cave wall, before it landed on the ground, wet. "Feveroot!" he commanded, before the large pink tiger pounced at the spider. "Good, if i can just get behind it-" he was about to finish, when the spider jumped into the air, faced the tiger, and its eyes flashed. The tiger was flattened against the ground, much to the surprise of buirimus.
The spider turned towards kirekock, and its eyes flash at it, as well, causing it to be forced to the ground, as well. The spider swung on its web, an archaic magic circle appeared in front of it, blowing out a blast of wind.
"That's the same magic kirekock was using!" buirimus yelled in shock. "That's impossible. Was it able transcribe the magic from scratch without using a skill?!" rondandt asked from his place, as he continued to prep the teleportation skill.
As soon as the old man said that, the spider used the newly acquired wind magic to kill suiten. "Rock turtle," buirimus ordered. When the monster didn't move, buirimus asked what was wrong. In response, the health bar for the rock turtle appeared, and it was dropping fast. In addition to that, there was a puddle of a kind of purple liquid in front of rock turtle.
Just then the magic circle was finished. "This mission was a COMPLETE disaster," rondandt said in a bit of anger. Buirimus got in front of the mage. "Old man, go, quick, save yourself," buirimus said. "Don't be a fool," the mage said, as he grabbed buirimus's shoulder. "You're coming back safe and sound, too," he retorted.
The spider used a purple-black magic circle, and a spear of darkness shot out of it at them. Buirimus knocked the mage out of the way, taking the brunt of the spear to his side, and carving out a good sized chunk out of his ribs, while the old man lost half an arm.
In desperation, the mage grabbed his staff from where it had fallen, after being pushed and, with buirimus on his shoulder, stabbed the jeweled end of his staff into the circle of magic, teleporting them away. After they were gone, the spider went over to the webbed up guide.
The guide, understandably, grew more terrified when he saw the spider coming closer. seeing no way out of this, he simply closed his eyes, and prepared to meet death. Instead of something piercing or cutting his body, he heard the sound of thread being cut, and he fell to the ground.
Once the guide stood up, the spider healed him of the injuries he sustained, then pointed away from it, trying to tell him to leave. "Thank you," the guide said to the spider, before he left. Once the guide was out of sight, as well as hearing range, THAT was when the spider decided to rage.
With izumi
"WHAT THE FUCKING HELL WAS THAT?! I LITERALLY JUST BUILT MY NEST AND WENT TO GET SOME FOOD! BUT, WHEN I COME BACK, I FIND MY HOME TORCHED AND A BUNCH OF HUMANS WHERE IT WAS! THAT WAS SO FUCKING RUDE!"
She then looked at the bodies of the humans and monsters left behind, and somewhat calmed down. "At least they left me all this food," she said. She then started to eat them.
Proficiency level has been reached. All core stats have been increased. [zoa ele lvl 20] can now evolve. Multiple evolution options are available.
[orthocadinaht]
[ede saine]
[great taratect]
Izumi clicked on [ede saine], to see what it was.
[ede saine]
A subspecies of taratect that's seen as an omen of death given form.
Specializes in stealth and rot attacks
"Huh, that sounds cool," she said. She looked at the other two options. "Looks like the magic specialization is back. Hmm," she *clicked* on [great taratect] to see what it was. "Yep, just like i thought, a great taratect makes me into a much larger version of my species. With that in mind, i've decided on my evolution," she stated.
However, before she selected her next evolution, she decided to rebuild her nest. After a few hours, she finished building her nest to be exactly like the one that she finished earlier. "Alright, commence my evolution to [ede saine]," she said. Skill [taboo] is now lvl 10.
Izumi was shocked. "Fuck, i accidentally maxed out [taboo], she said, right before she fell asleep. Now installing information.
