TwinstarDragon: yeah, it IS bad for ochaco.

Previously

"Oh, man, that was close," izumi said as she was eating the bandits. "Good thing i'm the [ruler of mercy, which allows me to use some powerful healing magic," she said. She then finished eating most of the bandits, burped, and proceeded to follow that carriage, again.

Now

A short time ago, just before the attack by bandits

"I can't BELIEVE those people," the man complained as he looked out the window. "What did they do THIS time, dear?" the woman asked, as she held their daughter in a cradle carry. "Simple, love, those idiots at the church have been saying that worship of the goddess is heresy, and that we should just stop," the man said.

Infant POV

As her parents talked, the girl was having some thoughts of her own. "Well, i don't believe in gods or goddesses," the girl was thinking. "Before i was born into this world, i was in class, i was in 1-A getting ready for the heroics portion of class. There was a rumbling, the class rep shot up and yelled for that little girl that he saved a while back. Then there was a bright golden light, and i was coming out of who appears to be my mother in this life," the girl thought to herself. "Apparently, this world functions like one of those games i used to play, in order to relax," the infant thought to herself.

Just then, there was a large jolt and the carriage lurched a bit. They heard merazophis yell at them to stay in there, while he defends them, only for the sound of him to hit the ground right after hit their ears. The carriage door opened, and an ugly bastard entered, sneering and laughing at them. "Please, someone help us," the infant thought.

Just as she thought that, a web wrapped around the ugly bastards neck and jerked him away. The family of three looked in the direction the bandit was jerked, and they saw a large green spider. The infant's father closed the door, and the three of them heard noises. "What is that monster?" "i don't know, but it got the boss!" "let's get out of here!" then they were silenced as a blur appeared.

A short time after the silence started, merazophis opened the door, shock on his face. "Merazophis, what's wrong?" my father asked. "I don't know how to describe it, my lord, but for you to see it for yourself," merazophis said. Merazophis, my father and my mother went outside the carriage, with my mother carrying me.

What we saw was baffling to say the least. We saw a green zana horowa healing our men. After it finished, the spider monster webbed up the bandits it killed, bowed to the four of us, and left, dead bandits in tow.

'That green spider. Something about it seems… familiar, to me,' I thought to myself.

Hours later, we get back to our country, and home: sariella. After the carriage stopped, we went outside, and i motioned that i wanted to go to the stables, again. "Darling, sophia wants to go to the stables again," my mother said, as she held me in her arms.

"Again?" my father asked. "She must like that weird horse in our stables," he said. My mother chuckled, before she carried me to the stables. After we got to the stables, i was placed next to a young foal. I was STILL in shock at what i was laying next to. This horse appeared to be a blend of a pegasus and a unicorn.

I think the name for its species was an alicorn?

Well, anyway, ever since i saw the alicorn for the first time, i saw that it always looked incredibly sad, but it continued to keep on living, like it was waiting for someone to come for it, someone that it wants. That was why i took to being with it whenever i could. After all, i miss my crush.

After a few hours, my mother took me inside, as it was getting rather nippy. I yawned. Oh, it looks like it's time for my nap. As soon as my mother put me in my crib, i was fast asleep.

3rd POV

The lady of the house kissed her daughter on the forehead, before she left. She then went to her husband's office. "John, sophia is now taking her nap," the lady said, as she hugged her husband from behind. Her husband leaned back into her embrace. "Thank you, seras," john said.

Seras looked at the work he was doing. "What are you doing, john?" seras asked. John held up the drawing he made of the spider. It was very well done. It was just missing the red and green, and it would have been indistinguishable from the real thing.

"Just trying to figure out why a spider monster saved us, my love. That's all," john said. "Perhaps it's the divine beast, returned?" his wife proposed. "Perhaps, though i kind of doubt it. After all, i've heard tales of a very odd spider monster. They say that it's coloring is green, has red eyes and black designs in its body. They even told me what the spider is called," john explained.

"What do they call it?" seras asked. "They call it the nightmare of the labyrinth," john answered. "Perhaps you are correct, my love," seras conceded. "However, this 'nightmare' has saved us from all those bandits. As far as i'm concerned, it IS the divine beast, returned," she said.

John chuckled. "I won't deny you your faith, love. I'm simply more practical and logical," john said. "Then i will begin spreading the news that the divine beast has aided my family, saving us from death," she declared, before she went to go make fliers.

John sighed. "By the goddess, i love that woman," he said. "Sir, i realize that this is out of place, but would you like me to keep an eye on that spider monster?" merazophis asked. "Yes, i would greatly appreciate it if you did, merazophis," john said gratefully.

Outside sariella

Izumi had just gotten to the forest outside the city where the carriage went. "Man, that was exhausting, walking all the way here, i'd like to be able to teleport," izumi complained. She opened up the list of purchasable skills and started to look. After a few minutes of searching, she saw one that seemed promising.

[spacial magic]

"I'm guessing that this is more of a teleportation and storage spell, despite it being listed as an attack-type spell," she said, before she purchased it. Skill [spacial magic lvl 1] has been acquired. "Right. Now i just need to practice using it," she said, before she did just that.

After a few hours, and killing more bandits and elves with it, she heard the voice, again. Proficiency level has been reached. Skill [spacial magic lvl 3] has increased to lvl 8. "Nice," izumi said. Proficiency level has been reached. [zana horowa lvl 55] has increased to lvl 58. Proficiency level has been reached. Skill [egg laying lvl 10] has been acquired.

To say that izumi was shocked would be an understatement. "WHAT THE FUCKING HELL?! HOW THE FLYING FUCK DID I GET AN EGG LAYING SKILL, WHEN I DIDN'T PURCHASE IT?!" izumi ranted. However, she wasn't expecting an answer.

Because you are a spider monster, you automatically obtain the skill [egg laying] once you reach a certain level.

"Fuck me, i'm gonna be an ACTUAL mother, now?" izumi groaned. Just then, she had a splitting headache. "What now?" she asked. She suddenly had a strong urge to return to the labyrinth. "Mother? You want me to return home?" izumi asked. The urge to go home got stronger, as if the queen was saying 'yes, i want you to return'.

"Sorry, mother, but every child has to leave the nest at SOME point, to make their own nest. That's how nature works," izumi explained. The urge to go home lessened, as her mother thought about what izumi said. After a few minutes, the urge to go home vanished, as if her mother was conceding to the point, albeit grudgingly.

"Thank you for seeing my point, mother. Don't worry, i'll give you some grandchildren, if you want?" izumi asked. The mother sent izumi an impression of confused acceptance. "Very well, mother," izumi said. Just then, her mother's presence in her mind disappeared completely.

"Ok, looks like mother wants to give grandchildren a try," izumi said. She thought about it for a bit, before she came to a decision. "I'll give her grandchildren in a bit, after i make sure that the city will be safe," izumi decided.

After searching through the forests, and leveling up by one, she went to her nest in the labyrinth, and started to hunt for a LOT of food. Once she had a pile of fresh food, she went to her nest in the labyrinth, where she proceeded to lay some eggs

Izumi wiped some sweat off her forehead. "Man, that was a bit hard. How the hell do human women do that for regular babies, anyway?" izumi thought to herself. She then went back to the forest around sariella. Just then, a woman carrying a sickly child approached her.

After hearing her speak for a bit, as well as the motion of holding the child out to her, izumi managed to figure out what the woman asked for. Placing a scythe on the head of the child, as well as one on her leg, izumi healed both of them.

Once they were both healed, the woman placed the child on his own feet, rummaged through her bag and presented an odd fruit to izumi. Taking the fruit, and bowing a bit, izumi started to eat the fruit. After taking a bite, her eyes widened a bit in surprise.

"Fuck, that's good fruit," she said in surprise, before she started to eat the fruit eagerly. Seeing the spider eat the fruit eagerly, the woman had an idea: tell the people who want their sick healed, to bring a bit of fruit. After the two bowed to the spider, the woman grabbed the hand of the child, revealing herself to be family, to the child.

"I hope the two of them eat better than they did," she said, as she finished the fruit. She then stretched, then yawned. "I suppose it's time for me to go to sleep," she said.

And so, she climbed into a tree, made a hammock and blanket with webbing, and went to sleep. The next morning, when she woke up and stretched, izumi looked below her and saw a LOT of people. From the looks of it, they were all asking for the same thing the first woman was.

And so, after getting down from the tree, she proceeded to heal them all. To show their thanks, after they were healed, they showed her to a LARGE bag. When she opened it, she saw that it was full of fruit. Eyes shining, she grabbed a fruit and started to eat.

A few days later

Izumi was trembling in shock. "Well THAT shit escalated fucking quickly," izumi thought in shock. Why was she shocked? Because she was now in the city, while people were excited to have her in the city. One guy was even drawing her, with an excited blush on his cheeks.

Future

A group of five people, plus a guide, were walking through the labyrinth, fighting monsters. One was a bluenette wearing armor, had two swords and wore a scarf. One looked like an elderly adventurer, and he carried a LOT of weapons. The third looked like a somewhat chunky thief with yellow-orange armor. Fourth was a guy wearing armor in a smilar coloring to the thief's armor, and he had a greatshield. The final person was a brunette girl in a priestess outfit.

"This way, sir hero," the guide said, as he carried a lantern and led the party through the tunnels. "So the monster we're hunting, is a spider monster, huh?" the hero thought. After a few hours of walking, and killing monsters, they party decided to rest.

"The monsters that we encountered are easily some of the most dangerous monsters on this floor. It must've been incredibly easy, for the heroes party," the guide said in a somewhat cheerful tone. There was the sound of insects moving, and the priestess jumped backwards. "I HATE this place. So disgusting~," the priestess complained.

The hero looked at the priestess. "You really don't like insects, do you, yana?" he asked. The shielder decided to speak up. "In case you forgot: we're on a SPIDER HUNT. i told you to just stay home if you're just gonna jump and scream at everything that skitters," the shielder said. "Oh will you just shut up, hyrince?! A saint's sworn duty is to stay by the hero's side," she said.

Hyrince then decided to have a bit of fun. "Yana, i think i saw something move on your back!" he said in a panicked and worried tone. Yana shrieked in fear, before she hid behind the hero. "Is it gone? Where did it go? She asked in a panic. "Oh, sorry, i must've imagined it," he said in a smug tone. Yana pouted as everyone in the group laughed at her.

Just then, the entire group heard a voice in their heads, causing them to be ready. "A hero, is here," the voice said. Everyone turned to where they thought the source of the voice was coming from. White waves of light appeared, and showed the monster.

"Nightmare's vestige," the guide said in a scared voice. "That monster is the target of our hunt: nightmare's vestige, left here by the nightmare of the labyrinth," the hero said. "Time to die, hero!" the spider said, before it teleported right behind the hero, and slashed at him.

The hero dodged the attack. "Julius!" yana cried out, in shock at having seen the spider teleport. After the spider landed on the ground, it sped at the hero, but hyrince managed to get between julius and the spider. The force of the impact caused hyrince to slide backwards on his feet a bit.

The thief threw a knife at the spider, but the spider jumped onto the ceiling of the cave, and dodged the kusarigama blade that the adventurer launched at it, and proceeded to run on the ceiling. "How is that thing as fast on the ceiling as it is on the ground?!" the thief demanded to know. "It's a SPIDER monster. Therefore, it only makes sense for it to be that fast on the ceiling," julius retorted.

Julius then launched a ball of light at the spider, but the spider shot forth a ball of darkness, destroying both of the balls of magic. "It was able to counter MY magic with its own?! That must mean that its base magic stat is over 2,000," julius thought.

"Everyone, get back!" Julius ordered. "Right," the group said, before they jumped back. "[light field," julius cast, the tip of his sword on the ground with his hands on the hilt. A massive amount of light magic surrounded julius. After the light faded, julius picked his sword up, and turned towards his group, only for a blast of darkness to attack him from behind.

"Julius," yana cried out, as she went to him. Once she got to him, she used healing magic. Hyrice got between julius, yana and the spider monster. His back to yana and julius and his shield facing the spider monster.

The spider monster is revealed to be on the wall, a good amount of the side of its face burned. "So, not only is it incredibly strong and fast, it's also tough as a dragon, huh?" hyrince asked.

Julius thanked yana for the healing magic, before standing next to hyrince. "I know magic that's STRONGER than light field, but i need a clear and stationary target. Just then, yana asked something, as she looked at the spider monster. "Is there something wrong with it?" the group REALLY looked at the spider. The spider was doing something that NONE of them expected. It was shaking in fear.

However, before any of the group could do anything, something appeared next to the group and the spider monster. They looked at the newcomer, but it was what the spider said that shocked them all. "Mother," it whimpered in fear. The group looked at the spiders 'mother'.

It looked like a really large green spider, but it had a human torso coming out of its spider head. It was wearing something that only covered its chest, which most of the guys appreciated, if their blushes were any indicator. Surprisingly, the nightmare had messy green hair in a sloppy braid. "Nightmare of the labyrinth," the guide said. The heroes party were surprised at seeing the nightmare.

The nightmare crossed its human arms as it looked down at the smaller spider. The smaller spider nervously went up to its mother. Imagine the surprise the group had, when the nightmare smacked the head of its offspring with the flat side of its scythe foreleg. The smaller spider looked up at its mother, its own scythe forelegs on the top of its head, as if It was holding its head in pain.

The two spiders seemed to be having a mental conversation, before the nightmare pointed in the general direction of its nest. Nodding sadly, and acting like it was THOROUGHLY reprimanded, the smaller of the two spiders went back to the nest. After its child left, the nightmare's human head barely turned to face the humans. "Leave, now," it said in a soft and gentle female voice, before it vanished from the spot it was in, as if it teleported.

The group of five was in deep shock. However, it was hyrince that said the thing that was on ALL of their minds: "what the hell just happened?"
