After about 10 minutes of resting, she heard footsteps. She turned towards the footsteps, and saw that it was her group. "Hey there," izumi said in exhaustion.

Now

When izumi wandered off

Eri watched her mother walk off, as she munched on her fruit, silently crying a bit. Ariel noticed that eri was trying very hard not to cry. So, after eri finished eating her fruit, ariel gently picked her up and held her in a cradle carry, as she gently rocked eri.

"There's no need to cry or be sad, eri. Has your mother EVER left you behind, or never come back, after she promised to come back, or that she'll still be there?" Ariel asked in a gentle tone. Eri timidly shook her head 'no'.

Ariel nodded with a gentle smile on her face. "Then there's no reason to be sad, eri," she said gently. Instead of answering, eri yawned cutely, and went to sleep, before ariel kissed her forehead, right next to where izumi kissed her.

After what seemed like days, but was really closer to about 25 minutes, passed, there was a rumbling noise, as well as an earthquake, surprising them all, and waking eri up. "Wha-?" she asked sleepily. Suddenly, there was a pile of dirt rising, and the four of them looked at it.

Imagine their surprise when they saw a fucking GIGANTIC flying circle came out of the ground. It was going into the air, slowly, when it suddenly started to fall, causing a wave of dirt and dead vegetation to surge towards them, after it crashed onto the ground it came out of.

Seeing all of it coming towards them, ariel, because she's the [lord of gluttony], simply ate all the dirt and dead vegetation coming towards them. "Yuck, that stuff was some of the most DISGUSTING stuff i've EVER eaten," ariel complained.

Maerazophis saw an open door on the object. "Miss ariel, it looks like there's an open door on this construct. Perhaps it leads somewhere?" he proposed. "Better than nothing. Perhaps we'll be able to find out what that thing is, and why it came out of the ground," she said, before she started to walk towards the open door on the object.

After entering the object, the four of them saw a good amount of carnage. "How did all this happen?" ariel asked, before the four of them went deeper. The deeper they went, the more carnage that they saw. After walking for a good while, they saw izumi looking at them, leaning heavily on her scythe with a glowing white-blue marble in her other hand, a robot missing its head at her feet, with its chest cavity messily torn open. "Hey there," izumi said.

Back with izumi

Izumi was about to say something else, when the control console lit up, and started beeping. A few seconds after it started beeping, the marble in her hand started to glow brighter. In a panic, she went and looked at the console, and saw that the marble in her hand was not only the main power source for the g-fleet, but it was also a stupidly powerful bomb that utilizes the life force of the entire planet.

Izumi remembered that ariel had the [gluttony] skill. Therefore, she did something that shocked the four of them. You wanna know what she did? Fine, i'll tell you.

She ATE the marble. After eating it, she tried to diffuse it throughout her body, like when she had OFA: full cowling. Unbeknownst to her, webbing had surrounded izumi in a nest of sorts. Izumi was in a crap ton of pain. Therefore, she tried to put some of the power into her scythe. When she succeeded, the pain in her body lessened somewhat.

Unknown to her, she was losing ALL of her skills. That is, until her body brain spoke up, one last time. "Well, main brain, i guess this is goodbye, for good" body brain said. "What?" izumi thought through the haze of pain that she was in. She didn't get any response from her body brain.

Unable to take the pain anymore, izumi passed out.

Outside the nest

Eri didn't know what was happening. One minute, her mother was fine, if a bit exhausted. The next, she was in a panic. She then went to that thing at the wall, then she swallowed the small ball in her hand. A few moments after that happened, her mother was suddenly surrounded by webbing. "Mama…?" Eri asked tearfully.

Knowing what eri wanted, because she was curious as well, ariel tried to listen through the webbing. It was VERY faint, but she managed to hear breathing. Ariel pulled back, before she looked down at eri in her arms. "It's alright, eri. Your mother is still alive," ariel said. Eri somewhat calmed down after hearing that.

Suddenly, there was a male voice behind ariel. A voice that did NOT belong to merazophis. "Well, now, how did this happen?" the voice asked. Reacting quickly, ariel spun on the balls of her feet and kicked at the person behind her. However, the person caught her kick, and did nothing else.

This person was wearing black-scale armor that fit him like a glove and looked like a carapace, with a bit of red fur surrounding his neck like a collar. He wore a black helmet with grey-ish horns going up from the sides of his face. He has red eyes.

"Oh, black, why are you here?" ariel asked. "I thought my question was rather obvious, ariel: how did this happen?" the guy, black, answered with a retort. "Izumi left our group to wander, a bit ago. Not even an hour later, this giant thing came out of the ground, then crashed shortly after. "The four of us came in to investigate, and saw izumi over there, with a white-blue marble in her hand. A bit after that, izumi panicked, went to the console at the far wall, then she ate the marble. A few moments after that, this webbing appeared. I was just confirming that she was still alive, when you just APPEARED behind me," she glared at him, at that. "Not cool, by the way," she said to black.

"Hmm," black said. He went over to the webbing, and put a hand on it, and his hand pulsed with energy, as if he were scanning the webbing. "I see," he said, before he removed his hand and turned to ariel. "I assume you know about metamorphosis?" he asked ariel.

"i do. Most non-monster insects go through that as they grow, like a going from a caterpillar to a butterfly," ariel said. "Exactly. Whoever is in that webbing is going through something similar: they are becoming a god for this world," black said.

Ariel fell to the wall in shock, barely managing to stay upright. "How long will the process take?" she asked black. "I would estimate somewhere between two to four weeks at the most," he said. "Then all we can do is wait. Luckily we got supplies at the last town, so we should be good on food, for a while," ariel said.

Eri sniffled. "I want mama," she whimpered. "Hey, hey, eri," ariel began, getting eri's attention. "Your mother is growing. If we disturb her before she's ready, she could be seriously hurt. Do you want your mother to be hurt?" ariel asked. Eri timidly shook her head in denial. "Then you MUST wait for her to be ready, no matter how badly you want her," ariel said. Eri nodded, yawned, and went to sleep.

Eri would wait, no matter how long it would take for her mama to come out.

Inside the webbing, four weeks later

Izumi woke up, groaning. "Fucking hell, that was painful. Worse than all the explosions katsuki used on me all together," she groaned. She tried to get up, but when she felt something on her lower half, she looked down. She was stunned at what she saw: human legs and feet.

Izumi cried a bit in joy, at what she was seeing, and feeling. "I finally have a human form, again, after who knows how the fuck long," she whispered. She tried standing, but collapsed. "Huh, i must be weaker than what i thought from whatever happened to me," izumi said.

She picked up her scythe and used it as a walking stick. She slammed a fist against the wall of webbing, causing it to shake a bit. A few more times yielded the same result, but had her landing onto her ass.

"Ariel?" she called out in a voice that was somewhat higher than her regular voice. "Izumi?!" ariel responded a few moments later. "Can you please get me out of here?" she asked. "Alright, just hang on. Merazophis, here, hold eri. I'll need both hands to get her out of that thing," she heard ariel say.

A few moments later, izumi heard the webbing being forcefully separated. A few moments before ariel got through the webbing surrounding izumi, izumi realized that she was wearing only a sports bra, and that's it. Just then Ariel managed to make a large hole in the webbing.

"KYAAAAAAA!" izumi screamed. "Why is that person screaming?" she heard a new voice say. "DON'T LET ANY GUYS SEE ME LIKE THIS!" izumi screamed. Ariel went through the hole she made in the webbing, and realized just WHY izumi was screaming in fear.

"Boys, don't come in here!" ariel ordered. "Why's that, miss ariel?" merazophis asked. "Because eri's mother needs clothes!" ariel retorted.

Blushing at what ariel meant, he gently put sophia and eri on the ground, before he went through the bags. After a few minutes of searching, he found something. "Miss ariel, i think i found a dress for the divine spider," he said.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Bring the dress over here, but don't look in here!" ariel called out. "How am i supposed to do that?" merazophis asked in honest confusion. Just then, merazophis heard a voice he hasn't heard in about four weeks answer him.

"Go to the side of the hole ariel made in the webbing and stick the arm with the dress through the hole," izumi called out, her voice tinged with fear. Merazophis did as he was instructed, and the dress was literally ripped out of his grasp.

After hearing a bit of a struggle, ariel came out, blushing. "Well, izumi got clothed, but now she is missing something to wear that's kinda important," she said. Ariel went to the bags and started to dig through them.

"What's that?" merazophis asked in confusion. Instead of giving him a direct answer, ariel gave him a hint. "Merazophis, what do you wear underneath your pants?" she asked, as she continued searching through the bags for what she sought. Merazophis thought about it for a moment, before he started to blush. "Ah, ok," he said.

"Ah, ha, found them" ariel said. She took the bag into the webbing thing. Izumi was looking at the underwear that ariel brought. "I think these are the correct size, but i don't know," izumi said nervously, as she held up some green panties.

"Well? Go on, try them on," ariel prompted izumi. With a nervous nod, izumi slowly managed to put them on. After managing to put them on, she found them to be surprisingly comfortable. "Wow, these feel nice," she said.

"Why were you reluctant to put them on, izumi?" ariel asked. "One, i was a boy in my previous life, before i came to this world, so my center of gravity and balance shifted, and i'm still somewhat used to guy's underwear" izumi said. Ariel remembered what the drunk izumi explained, that night. "What else?" she asked.

"I'm still exhausted from whatever happened to me, and there is one other reason," izumi said. "And that is?" ariel asked. "I haven't had human legs since i was killed in my previous life," izumi stated. "Ah, ok. That makes sense," ariel said.

Ariel then put one of izumi's arms around her neck and started to help her walk. Scythe in hand, as well as ariel helping her, izumi managed a weak stumble. After Ariel helped izumi get to the supplies, eri managed to crawl to her mother.

"Mama?" eri asked as she reached for her mother, after she reached izumi. Izumi smiled and picked her up and put her in her sling around her torso. Eri was out like a light in seconds, a happy look on her face.

"Who are you?" izumi heard beside her. She looked at the source of the voice. "Me?" she asked. "Yes, you. Who are you?" black answered. "I'm izumi," she answered.

Black went "hmm," as he stared at her, then switched his gaze to her webbing that she came out of, before looking back at her. "Would you happen to have been a [zana horowa]?" Black asked.

"I was, shortly before the city i was being worshiped at was invaded. Before it was invaded, i evolved into a spider monster known as an arachne," izumi explained. "I see," black said. "Well, allow me to be the first to welcome you, izumi, to the ranks of the gods of this world," black said with a bow.

Izumi did something that makes perfect sense in this situation: she let out a stupified "huh?"
