I was in shock. I couldn't believe that my mother was here, alive and in my house. I mean I did think that her disappearance was strange, but I didn't think that she was actually still around. I had a lot of questions that I needed to be answered but I was so overwhelmed with emotion from seeing her that I couldn't really move my mouth at the moment. I knew I had to speak to her to find out what had happened and where she had been. I finally managed to speak, but only got one word to come out.

"How?" I asked.

"I'm a vampire." She stated. It was at that time that I finally found the ability to speak.

"I knew that." I declared. I wasn't sure what I would feel. I had a lot of different emotions running through my head right now. "I mean how did you find me and how did you know I was turned into a girl."

"It wasn't easy to do." She explained. "When I found out that Colton died, I wanted to see if I could find you and Dante. I was able to find him pretty easily and we even talked about things. He found out the family secret but really didn't want any part of it."

Part of me wondered if I should try to contact Dante sometime. The only problem was that I wasn't like Mom. I didn't look the same as the last time he saw me. I probably didn't have much in common with him anymore considering he was in his 70s.

"I asked him about you and he said that he hadn't heard from you in 40 years. He told me that he thought you were dead." She continued. I mean I was, just not in the permanent sense. "So, I went online to investigate. There was nothing about you online outside of your old yearbook photos."

I couldn't believe that those were online. I looked horrible in those. I really didn't want to see any pictures of me as a guy anymore. Yeah, I think I am definitely transgender.

"How did you find that I was turned into a girl?" I questioned.

"I had recently got a job as a house mother at a sorority at Columbia." She explained. "One day when I was bored, I decided to look through some of the old face books of past sisters."

When she said face book, she didn't mean the website. They used to have these books of face that we basically directories. It was how the site got its name.

"I saw the name Brandy Salvatore and thought that it was a pretty big coincidence. I wasn't sure it was you but decided to see what I could find. I found that you were the co-owner of a record store, but when I got there, I found that it had closed down. Since I was left without any information, I decided to create an algorithm that would constantly check for any mentions of your name. A few weeks ago, I got a meaningful hit." She declared.

What could it have been that led her here? I didn't think there would be…oh The Miss Mystic Falls Pageant.

"I guess I should congratulate you." She added. At that moment, my phone rang. It was Elena.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Can you come over right now?" She requested.

"I'll be right there." I promised before I hung up. I didn't even need to ask why she needed to see me. Elena was one of those people that I would drop what I was doing for. I then looked at my mom.

"Can you not hang around while I'm gone? I don't really want anyone else to see you until I introduce you." I requested. It was specifically Damon that I was worried about, but I didn't really want her to interact with Stefan or Rachel either.

"Okay." She agreed. She left as I went to the Gilbert house.

When I got there, I found an ambulance was there.

"What happened?" I questioned.

"One of the tomb vampires must have gotten in here and attacked John. They cut off his fingers." She explained. How would one of the tomb vampires get inside of her house? "I need to go to the hospital. Can you stay here and watch over Jeremy while I'm gone?"

"Have you seen Jeremy at all?" I questioned. I wondered if she knew what happened to him.

"I heard he was sleeping." She replied before she left. That meant that she probably didn't know. We were going to have a lot to discuss. I went upstairs to check on her and she was still sleeping. She looked a lot like Elena. She was wearing a red and black long-sleeved off-shoulder dress. She was going to be in for a rude awakening. I decided that I shouldn't be the one to do it and headed back downstairs.

It was a little bit later when I heard the door open. Elena was back. She looked a little different though. I was pretty sure that she hadn't been wearing a jacket. Did she have one in her car or something?

"How's Caroline?" I asked. I assumed that she had checked up on her at the hospital. I hadn't heard anything from Rachel yet and honestly her health was more important than John's.

"She's not good." Elena replied as I went in to give her a hug. Something was definitely off. She had this weird inflection in her voice. She then hugged me and I hugged her back and I smelled perfume. Elena definitely wasn't wearing perfume. She whispered. "Just what I needed."

At that point, I broke apart from her.

"Katherine." I stated. She must have been the one to attack John. It made a lot of sense how she could have been invited into the house as opposed to a random tomb vampire. She stood there with a smile.

"It's so nice to finally meet you, Brandy." She said. "At least I fooled one of you."

"What are you doing here?" I asked. I had to keep my guard because I knew that Katherine was pretty dangerous.

"Who can say?" She retorted.

At that moment, I ran over and held against the wall. I would have to do this quickly because I couldn't let her break free.

"You're so dominant. I bet the girls love that." She replied. I prepared to reach into her chest and pull her heart out. However, before I could do that, I heard the door open. Noticing that I was distracted, she broke my arm and threw me to the floor before she ran off. At that moment, Elena, Damon and Rachel walked inside.

"What happened?" Elena asked.

"Katherine happened." Damon answered for me.

So, we started to explain some things. I found that Rachel had given Caroline some of her blood, so Katherine was lying then.

"She said that fooled one of us. What did she mean?" I asked. I would probably have to wait to mention my mom until later. This Katherine stuff was kind of greater importance than that.

"I'm gonna tell Jeremy." Elena replied. It was at that moment that I realized that I had forgotten to tell her ahead of time.

"Elena, wait." I remarked as I followed her upstairs. It was at that point that I saw her look at her sister in surprise.

"What?" She asked out loud. It seemed to be loud enough to wake the girl up.

"How long was I asleep?" She asked. She then seemed to notice that we were staring. "Why are you looking at me like that? What's wrong with my voice?"

At that point, she looked down at herself and gave the appropriate reaction. She screamed. Unfortunately, that also got Damon and Rachel to come upstairs and Jeremy's room was not large enough for so many people, so we ended up taking the conversation downstairs. I could tell it was going to be an interesting one.

"Why am I girl?" Jeremy asked. It seemed like she wanted to get right to the point. That was probably a good idea.

"A spell." I answered. "It's the same spell that was cast on me 46 years ago. What I'm saying is I was born a guy and Rachel was born a witch. Our first meeting didn't go well. As why you got turned into a girl, I don't know. I don't know who cast it, but I have a suspicion that Katherine might be the one behind it."

I had no idea why Katherine would want to turn Jeremy into a girl, but there really wasn't anyone else who would have done it. According to Isobel, she knew some other witches.

"Who's Katherine?" Jeremy asked. Oh yeah, we hadn't had the opportunity to tell her that either.

"She's the vampire who turned Stefan and I." Damon answered. "She also looks just like your sister, so you need to be careful."

"I'm sorry that you got dragged into this," Elena stated. We still needed to figure out why she got dragged into it.

"Is there a way to turn me back?" Jeremy inquired. I looked over at Rachel. She probably knew the spell.

"I never actually knew the spell to reverse it." Rachel admitted.

"What?" I asked. She never told me that before.

"I didn't think you would learn a lesson." She declared. "I didn't plan on changing you back because I didn't think you would deserve it. I can try to find out, but I think we should prioritize dealing with Katherine right now. First, I want you to tell me your name."

"Why?" Jeremy asked her. I was still a bit hurt by this revelation. In the long run, it wouldn't have mattered, but knowing that she never planned on doing it did hurt.

"Because when I changed Brandy into a girl she couldn't say her real name." Rachel explained.

"My name is…Jamie." The girl said. "Jer…Jamie. I can't say it."

"I thought so. It must have been the same spell as the one that I used on Brandy." Rachel suggested. That made sense.

At that point, Jenna walked into the house.

"Hey Jamie, how was your nap?" She asked the younger Gilbert. She was acting like Jamie was always a girl. "Did Anna go home?"

"I guess she did." Jamie responded. I wondered where Anna had gone actually. I knew Stefan would be staying at the hospital to watch over Caroline.

"It was fine and I guess she did." Jamie answered before Jenna went upstairs. I assumed that she assumed that Jenna hadn't noticed her sex change. Also, why didn't Jenna ask why all of us were all downstairs?

"Or not." Rachel replied. It was then that I noticed the picture on the wall had changed. "I don't think this is the same spell. She seems to have replaced your old life with a new one and the only ones who know are magical creatures."

That didn't explain why Elena knew about her old life, but there was probably some explanation for that.

"This may be very hard to undo." Rachel added.

I still didn't get the reason for it, but I knew I probably wouldn't get the answer unless I talked to Katherine and she probably wouldn't just tell me. Real villains don't just tell you their plans like they're in a James Bond movie. On a side note, I still couldn't believe they gave him blonde hair in the new movies. Maybe James Bond was a code name that came with 007 and they weren't all the same guy.

"You know what, I think I'll stay over tonight." I offered. Elena looked a little bit surprised by that. "I'm the only one who really understands what you're going through. Elena or Anna could teach you how to be a girl, but both of them were born that way."

"Does Anna even know about this?" Jamie asked with a blush. It seemed like she was hoping that her girlfriend did not.

"She's the one who told me about it." I declared. Come to think of it, where was she? I decided to call her and she answered.

"Where are you right now?" She asked.

"I'm at the Gilbert house with Jamie." I answered. "Where are you?"

"I'm at your house." She replied. "By the way, your mom is back in town."

"How do you know my mom?" I asked in surprise. Also I knew that Damon and Rachel could hear that, and Elena and Jamie would have heard me say it aloud, so I would need to explain that.

"I may have hooked up with her." She admitted. "In my defense, I didn't know that your mom at the time. I'm gonna hang up now."

"What was she talking about?" Rachel asked me. She seemed mad. I didn't think that she had any right to be mad at me for keeping a secret for an hour when she had never told me about the spell.

"My mom is alive…well she's a vampire." I explained. "She disappeared when I was a kid and now I know why, but I only just found out about it tonight."

"And why didn't you tell me right when you found out?" Rachel inquired.

"In case you haven't noticed, there have been more important things that occurred tonight." I pointed out. "Not only did you have to save your girlfriend's life, but also Jamie got turned into a girl and Katherine is back and you're not one to talk about keeping secrets since you never told me something for 46 years!"

"Hey, you guys don't need to fight right now." Elena mediated as she stood between the two of us. "You can stay the night, but it would probably be a good idea for Damon and Rachel to go home."

Maybe some time apart from each other would do us good…even though once again my thing was nowhere near as bad as hers. I decided to take Jamie up to her room. I noticed a few things about it had also changed. I didn't have the best knowledge since I had only been in there once before, but there was a larger dresser with a vanity and there was also a stuffed Charmander on floor.

"It's cute but I'm more of a Venomoth girl." I explained as I handed it to her.

"You like Venomoth? How can you like Venomoth? No one likes Venomoth." She pointed out.

"Well now you know someone who does." I remarked. That was when I realized that I didn't have anything to sleep in. I imagined that since everything else had changed, her clothes had as well.

"So what was the biggest issue that you ran into after this happened to you?" She asked as I took a seat on her bed. I tried to think about that.

"I would say the sudden lack of height was the hardest." I answered. "However, I pretty much immediately became a vampire. I ran into Damon as soon as I left Rachel's shop."

"Why did Damon turn you?" She inquired.

"Because my father betrayed and imprisoned him right before Damon managed to kill him. He pretty much told me that he only done because I was a girl." I explained. "Now let's change into pajamas and we can see if you have any girly movies."

She laughed a little before she seemed to notice that I wasn't laughing. This was going to be fun.

"You're kidding, right?" She asked nervously.

"No." I replied with a smile.

The next morning, I found out that there was going to be a wake for the mayor. I was a bit surprised how they managed to get it together so quickly. I also thought the mayor dying suddenly on the town's Founder Day celebration would be big state, maybe even national news. I couldn't help but wonder what they were going to tell the media. Not to mention, he was also the leader of the council. They could say that he died trying to save the vampires in the building, but they would probably need to forge some medical reports to hide his broken neck.

But before all of that, Elena and I decided that it would be a good idea to try to see Caroline and maybe Rachel and I could talk about our fight last night. The two of us arrived at the same time as Rachel. We also found that Kelsey was there too.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"I just got discharged." She explained. "What are you doing here?"

"We're here to see Caroline. Have you seen her at all?" I questioned.

"Yeah, come with me." She instructed as she took us to Caroline's room. When we got there, Caroline was wide awake with the TV on.

"Jersey Shore's on." She replied as we walked in. I would excuse her terrible taste in television because she had almost died. At that point, both Rachel and Elena went to hug her. "Aww, why are you guys being so mushy?"

"We're just glad that you're alright." Elena said.

I decided to let Rachel spend some time with Caroline. Elena was going to meet Stefan so they could talk to John, so that left me with Kelsey. We started to walk out together.

"So, I need to go home and get an outfit for this wake." She announced.

"Why are you going to the wake?" I asked. She didn't really seem like she liked the guy that much.

"That's right. I forgot to tell you." She stated. "Last night my mom called me and told me that Mayor Lockwood was my dad. I don't even think he knew about it."

"Oh." I replied with a blush. "I don't mean to steal your thunder, but I also found out that I have a secret parent last night…well not a secret. My mom is kind of still alive. I'm sorry for your loss."

"Don't worry. I'm not. I'm only going because I have to. I hope there will be drinks there." She replied before she started to walk home. Oh yeah, her car was destroyed.

I decided to put on a black lace dress and a pair of black heels. Some people might have thought that places like that were my scene even though my personality really wasn't that dark. I decided to go to the Gilbert house to make sure that Jamie had something to wear since she probably didn't know much about girl clothes. She was still wearing her pajamas when I got there, so I assumed that I was correct.

"So, you need to pick out something for the mayor's wake." I told her. "Do you see anything you like."

"No." She answered. "Plus, I don't know anything about makeup either."

"Well you're going to be a girl for a while." I told her as I started to look through her closet. "You're going to have to get used to it. Not to mention, if you ever get turned into a vampire, it will become permanent."

"If you could go back, would you?" She asked.

"No." I stated. "I didn't know it at the time, but I'm pretty sure that I'm transgender. It took me actually becoming a girl to realize it. I'm not saying that you are, but you should at least get used to it. Put this on."

About 15 minutes later, she was wearing a black sweater dress with a red headband and matching lipstick and a pair of suede boots.

"You'll probably learn that being is a girl isn't as bad you think." I told her. Of course, there was one part of being a girl that I never experienced that I was pretty sure that she was going to hate. I also noticed something on the counter. Apparently, the paramedics had left it behind. "Put this on."

As soon as Elena got home, the three of us went to the Lockwood house with Jenna.

"Why do we have to be here?" Jamie asked. She probably didn't like that she had be so dressed up at the moment.

"Because the Lockwoods were here for us when we were going through this." Jenna pointed out. "We don't have to stay long. We'll just pay our respects and leave."

I decided that when I got there, I should try to find Kelsey. I found her in the study and she looked like she had already had a few drinks.

"There's nothing like being the bastard daughter of the deceased." She said. "His wife wants to talk to me and even offered to let me live here, but I don't want any charity."

"Look I'm not going to tell you what to do, but maybe this isn't as bad as you think it is." I proposed. I did wonder if there was a connection between Kelsey and Mayor Lockwood both being affected by the device though.

"Do you want some of this?" She asked. I took the flask that she was holding before she kissed me suddenly. I quickly pulled away.

"Kelsey stop." I told her. "We can't do this. I'm your student, remember?"

"Do you have somewhere else you need to be?" A muscular guy asked me. Apparently, he had seen her kiss me.

"It's not what it looks like." I told him before I went over to him and held my hand out to shake "I'm Brandy Salvatore."

"Mason Lockwood. Richard was my brother." He explained as he shook my hand. So apparently, not only was Kelsey the daughter of Mayor Lockwood, but she also had an uncle that I had never met before.

I decided that he probably wanted to talk to Kelsey, so I should leave. I needed to find Jamie anyway. However, before I could do that, I noticed that Katherine outside and talking to Stefan. I decided to go out there and intervene.

"What are you two talking about?" I asked her. "More importantly, why are the two of you talking in the first place?"

"What's wrong? Are you jealous? Maybe you like Elena?" She questioned. It looked like she didn't know that I was over her. "Watch out, Stefan, it looks like your sister wants to steal your girl."

"That already happened, but we're past that." Stefan replied as I blushed a little. Why did he have to tell her that? "Can't you go be a nuisance somewhere else?"

I wasn't sure if we wanted her to be a nuisance somewhere else. It probably wouldn't end well.

"No, but it does bother me that you've fallen in love with someone else." Katherine told him.

"I never loved you, Katherine." Stefan replied. "I hate you."

"You hate me?" She challenged as she grabbed Stefan and stabbed him with a pole. "That sounds more like the beginning of a love story, not the end of one."

I went to fight her, but she kind of pushed me into the pond. Hopefully I would be able to wash it out because I did not want to go to the dry cleaners. With that Katherine got away.

That night, I realized that I needed to go to the Gilbert House to apologize to Jamie for leaving her alone at the wake. However, when I got inside, I noticed Elena was talking to Damon.

"Damon, I love Stefan." She said. "It's always going to be Stefan."

"What's going on?" Jamie asked as she walked into the room. At that point, Damon did something completely unpredictable. He ran over and grabbed Jamie and broke her neck. I gasped and Elena did as well before I remembered something.

"Elena, look at her hand." I told her as she showed her the ring on her sister's limp hand. Hopefully, it would get her to stop crying. It turned out it was a good call to get her to wear it.

I decided to wait with Elena. I thought of something, but I wasn't sure that it would work the same way. Just because my resurrection had caused the transformation to become permanent didn't mean that Jamie's completely different resurrection would. She woke up gasping for air.

"Did Damon just kill me?" She asked.

Once I realized that she was fine, I went home and I found Damon was there and he looked distraught. It seemed like he was actually feeling remorse for something that he had done. That was progress.

"So, I have good news." I replied. "I gave John's ring to Jamie before the wake and she was wearing it, so she's not dead. However, that doesn't mean that what you did was okay and it also doesn't mean that Elena isn't going to hate you for it."

"I don't even know why I did it." He admitted.

At that point, I went upstairs and found that Rachel was back from the hospital.

"Why did you never tell me?" I asked her.

"I didn't tell you because I didn't think it mattered anymore." Rachel explained. "I didn't even trust you when you first turned into a vampire. I didn't want to be your friend, but it just happened, and it turned out that you weren't as bad as I thought you would be. I'm sorry and I'm sorry that I snapped at you last night. I was just really stressed out."

"You need to come with me. There's someone that I want you to meet." I told her.

The two of us headed to the Grill. I knew that they would be closing up pretty soon. I didn't know how I knew she would be there, but she was.

"Rachel, this is my mother, Elizabeth." I introduced.

So, Brandy's mother has a name and also she and Kelsey kissed. On top of Jamie is going to permanently be a girl. She's played by Selena Gomez if you couldn't tell by the cover. So how will things be different with Elizabeth around? Please don't forget to review.
