Kagome ran though it was not a great idea. The rain was cooling her off and hiding her tears.
"What is wrong with me!" She cried.
Kouga's car passed by when he saw and he yelled for the driver to stop. He got out an ran to her "Kagome!"
But she didn't stop. She didn't want to stop. Not to be rude to him, but she didnt want him to see her cry.
She did not want any of them to know that her heart was really the sick one.
Kouga growled and picked up his phone and called Sesshomaru. Of course, the bastard didnt pick up.
He thought about calling Toga but fuck it, this game was over. All it was doing was hurting her and she needed to know. Kouga got back in his car "Find Sesshomaru." He told the driver.
The driver called the other driver who reluctantly gave away the location.
Meanwhile, Sessomaru is watching the city go by and his mind is far away. Even as they got out and made their way inside the restaurant. Even as Kaugra spoke. Why was she warm, why was her heart rate high, why was his father so damn worried and why was Kouga sniffing around her.
Why was it bothering him like this?
What was he missing damn it.
He was brought out of his thoughts when a hand slammed down on the table. The body behind the hand was soaking wet and he was soaking the white tablecloth.
"You are a fucking fool!"
Kagura's eyes shot open wide at the scene before her.
"Throw me out another fucking window, she is worth it,"
"Do you have something to say," Sesshomaru spoke calmly,
"I just said it, how can you be this fucking stupid."
Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes, the wolf knew something.
"Are you really telling me you dont know or are you just ignoring it," He showed a fang. "Think about her Sesshomaru,"
"The pussy cat,"
"Enough," Sesshomaru snapped,
Kouga pulled back, "You do care about her,"
Sesshomaru glared at him,
Kouga ran his hand through his hair "God you really are foolish,"
"Wolf," Sesshomaru warned,
"Dont you see, feel it, smell her?"
He had, something was off, he knew that but he couldn't put hid finger on it.
"Shes warm," Kouga said, "Shes weak, cant eat, her heart is beating faster,"
Kaugra rolled her eyes and took out lipstick "All this for a sick human girl, is she dying or something,"
Kouga glanced at her "Or something, The he looked at Sesshomaru, "Why does you father want to feed her,"
He sure as hell didnt know.
"It's not mating ritual,"
Sesshomaru looked away,
Kouga sighed "You need to go stick your nose into her neck,"
Kaugra laughed "She isn't his mate, why would he seek to see if she is pregnant, why would he care?"
Both men looked at Kaugra.
"What?" She asked,
Sesshomaru looked at Kouga,
"Oh yeah man, and it's yours before you even think to blame me,"
His word was spinning.
"She out there in the soaking rain, tired, sick, and broken,"
"Does she know," Sesshomaru asked staring off into space,
"No fucking clue, she about as bright as her lover,"
Fuck.
Sesshomaru got up. Ignored Kaugra. Kouga held her back.
He left the restaurant and looked every which way.
His driver opened the door but he wasnt getting it. Rain fell from the gray skies above and Sesshomaru turned and began to run.
His heart pounded. Could it be true. The wolf was right, he was foolish. How could he not have know? How could they all knew and he didnt.
The feel of her warm skin, the feel of her heart, had he really been paying attention it would have been a no brainer. But he was too busy trying to be distant. Now all he wanted to do was get close.
