Gabrielle

Gabrielle was the epitome of an early bird, she was usually the first one up...often waking up before her parents to go on runs through the forest or even a leisurely stroll.

Usually, she would use the morning time to be productive and or exercise but her reasoning for being up and about right now was rather...abnormal.

She simply had to relieve the urine in her system, it wasn't anyone's business but hers anyways.

After finishing her business and getting herself cleaned up, Gabrielle began making her way back to her family's hut...she needed a few more winks of sleep, the events of her new cousin's birth yesterday had drained her a bit...they were celebrating all night.

Unfortunately...the calm serenity of the early morning was taken away from her ears as a short yet loud screech invaded her ears, causing her to jump slightly and immediately go into alert mode.

She immediately dropped her defensive state and replaced it with an annoyed slump as she noticed who had made the screeching sound...of course it was none other than Ash; Blue Eyes stood besides him.

How did they sneak up on her?

"Seriously Ash?" Gabrielle questioned the chimp as he huffed out a laugh at her expense.

"Why so jumpy today, Gabrielle?" Blue Eyes signed to his cousin as he smiled at her expense.

"Well it's not everyday I hear a screeching banshee on my morning walks ya know? What are you guys doing here anyways?" Gabrielle questioned them.

"We are going for an early morning fishing trip, you wanna join us?" Ash signed to her.

She looked between both of the chimps...the scars on her cousin's body drew her attention...maybe this little trip would finally give her the chance to get some insight on yesterday's hunt.

"Sure, just let me grab my stuff." Gabrielle said as she signed for them to wait.

After she returned with her fishing gear, the three teens had embarked on their journey to the lake.

"Hey Blue..." Gabrielle started as her cousin turned to her voice...he was seemingly zoning out for whatever reason.

"How did you get the scars?" She questioned him in a straightforward manner, even Ash had tuned into the conversation...he was not with Blue Eyes when the initial bear attack had happened.

Blue Eyes sighed as they continued walking, he then began telling the full story of his new scars to Gabrielle and Ash...the conversation would last all the way until they made it to the lake.

Later

The trio stood at the lake as they were all fishing in their own individual spots.

Gabrielle was grateful that her cousin had survived such a ghastly bear attack, but she wasn't too happy to hear about his strained relationship with his father.

As her cousin grew...it would seem the two males would have a greater division driven between them congruently.

Alas, now was not the time to focus on that, she thought as she caught yet another fish, it was her fourth catch of the day.

"I think I'm going to win our competition today boys!" Gabrielle called out to Ash and Blue Eyes as the latter shrugged his cousin off.

"Watch and learn, Gabrielle." Blue Eyes signed before fully concentrating on the fish once more.

His eyes narrowed as he raised his spear high above his head, he was going to time the fish just right.

Right as Blue Eyes was about to strike, he lets out a surprised yelp as he was gently struck in the chest by Ash.

Ash chuffed out a mischievous laugh as Blue Eyes frowned and shoved him back.

Gabrielle snickered as Blue Eyes continued to seethe at Ash's laughter...

Soon enough the blue eyed chimpanzee had lunged at his friend, they tumbled on the floor and began rough housing...it was safe to say Gabrielle would win today's fishing competition with ease.

"Boys..." She said to herself as she chuckled and watched them continue rough housing, Ash was holding Blue Eyes down by now as they wrestled, the goal was to make the other tap out.

The curly haired girl couldn't help but smile to herself...as they all grew up into their teenaged mindsets, it was not often that they were able to find time to play like when they were younger...Gabrielle couldn't help but think about a smaller pair of ape boys wrestling as the two teenaged apes did so.

Later on...

The trio was now walking back towards their home, a rack of fish was being carried by Blue Eyes...granted most of those fish were caught by his cousin.

He knew she would boast and taunt him as soon as they returned to the village and showed the tribe their catches...but for now she was actually being rather quiet.

His mental assailant however, was Ash, their wrestling match from earlier had ended in a stalemate, neither of them tapped out...but after Gabrielle reminded them that they had to get back to the village quickly, they agreed to a draw.

Ash however was still not letting up about the bear incident.

"That bear wouldn't get me, Blue Eyes! I'm too quick!" Ash signed pridefully as he bounded around.

"Shut up, Ash!" Blue Eyes signed back before gently shoving Ash.

Gabrielle once more, snickered at her cousin's annoyed expression.

"What is so funny?" Blue Eyes questioned her.

"Your face." Gabrielle replied with a shrug as her cousin rolled his eyes.

She continued to smile at the two boys...this was a rather nice morning venture, they were on their way home, nothing could ruin this moment.

Unfortunately for Gabrielle, she had not anticipated them rounding a corner and being met with the face of a creature that was long since forgotten by them at the behest of the colony...

There...right in the middle of the forest, stood a human being...it was no human they had ever seen, being that Gabrielle and her family were the only humans in the colony.

The trio simultaneously began panicking...they were all trying to decipher if their eyes were deceiving them...no...this human was very much real, and he was staring right at them...seemingly just as panicked as they were.

Gabrielle's heart was in her stomach as they all froze...why was this man here? They were told that all humans outside of the colony had disappeared...this wasn't right...

He was just as terrified as them...and the way he eyed Gabrielle let them know that their confusion was shared.

What happened next caused them all to jump back slightly...the man had swiftly reached into his waistband and brandished a shiny silver weapon.

All three teens unconciously got a little closer to eachother as the man aimed the small weapon at them...Gabrielle was unsure but, from the looks of this contraption, it resembled the guns her father had told her about all those years ago...small weapons...but deadly.

Blue Eyes however, wasn't thinking about it as much as his cousin was, he was moreso remembering how evil the humans outside the colony were according to Koba...so whatever this shiny thing in the man's hands was...was no good for apes.

So naturally, the Ape Prince began hissing at the man, letting him know to back off...

But the man did not heed the warning, he simply stood there, shaking, but the gun was still poised and aimed at them.

Ash's heart rate was continuing to increase, he wasn't so sure that they were supposed to approach this creature with aggression, so naturally he hooted at Blue Eyes softly...but the latter continued hissing.

Ash then walked forward slightly as he was seemingly about to approach the man.

Gabrielle was going to stop him, but before she could say anything, that's when it happened...a loud bang reverated through the forest as Ash lets out a loud, pained screech.

The curly haired girl felt her ears ringing as her vision blurred a bit...she didn't know exactly what happened but...she could makeout Ash on the floor clutching a wound and moaning in pain...Blue Eyes was frantically screeching in distress...such a small weapon...had caused all of this...

The Village

Geleel rose out of his slumber almost immediately...he heard it...and he was sure the entire colony heard it as well...that was a gunshot, and there was no mistaking it.

The ape man got up from the bed as Emilia sat up slowly, her face was in the form of a grimace, she heard the shot too.

As Geleel came outside of his hut, he noticed that the village was in a frenzy...screeches and hoots of confusion rang out through the tribe.

He then craned his neck to look up, he noticed his brother standing on the ledge that was outside of his own hut...

They both shared a look...they knew gunshots meant that their previous suspicions were untrue...humans were still alive...and they were clearly causing trouble if the gunshot meant any form of indication.

Emilia soon came to stand besides Geleel...she noticed something more detrimental than the fact a gunshot was heard...Gabrielle, Blue Eyes and Ash were nowhere to be found...

Caesar drew in a deep breath...he knew they had to go investigate that gunshot with haste, this situation was becoming way too dire and way too fast.

Gabrielle

Gabrielle had gotten over her initial stupor from the gunshot...she now tended to Ash as he was on the floor, shaking due to the shock of being shot.

Blue Eyes stood in front of both of them as he hooted and screeched relentlessly trying to get the other apes in the colony to heed his distress warning.

"Stay! Stay back! Hey! Help!" The human shouted as Gabrielle mentally seethed at him...he was the one that hurt Ash so badly...yet he had the audacity to shout for help as if he was the one on the floor shaking and in unbearable pain?

"Hey! Over here!" He called out behind him as Gabrielle craned her neck slightly to notice more humans running towards them with guns in hand...no, if one gun put her friend on the floor; imagine what multiple guns could do to them?

"I shot him...I shot him..." The man trailed off as the other humans came upon him...their guns were semi aimed at Blue Eyes, who was still relentlessly calling out for help.

Gabrielle could not for the life of her understand why these people were so prone to pointing those weapons at them, couldn't they see that they were not threatening them? They were just as if not more scared than the humans...this forest was their home...they stepped into it and hurt one of them for no reason.

The humans eyed them in a scrutinizing manner, their scrutiny was seemingly focused on Gabrielle the most...but unfortunately for the humans, a series of loud screeches drew their attention as they all turned to see a giant hoard of apes bounding towards them from the depths of the forest.

They all frantically huddled together as they aimed their guns and the giant army of apes...Gabrielle and Blue Eyes still stayed close to Ash as they were thankful for the colony's backup in this moment.

The humans didn't know what to do as they frantically swiveled as the large army of apes had spears poised in their hands.

A loud thud draws Gabrielle's attention as she noticed Rocket drop down in front of them, the humans were also startled as the muscular apes screeched at them angrily.

Gabrielle continued holding Ash as their backup numbers continued to grow, but where was her uncle and her father?

Almost simultaneously, Caesar came to the middle of the army, they were awaiting his orders.

"Hold!" Caesar grunted out orders as he placed both of his arms out in order to prevent his apes from making any hasty decisions.

The King's attention was then drawn over to Rocket's loud hooting, he noticed the bald chimp kneeling besides Gabrielle and the downed Ash...Blue Eyes was a little bit away from them.

"They shot Ash! Shot my son!" Rocket shrieked out in anger...Caesar understood the former's anger, he was internally seething too but...they had to handle this situation properly.

"Rocket, wait!" Caesar signed for Rocket to calm down as the latter begrudgingly did so.

Caesar then turned his head back to the humans as his cold, green gaze pierced a hole through them...neither side made any initial movements yet.

Gabrielle's anxiety was rising as Caesar continued to stare the humans down...the latter of the three seemed way more frantic now.

A sudden rustling of the trees drew everyone's attention.

Soon after the rustling a mass dropped to the forest floor with a thud...it was Geleel, Gabrielle had never seen her father this angry...not even when faced off against Red...and to think this anger was being directed towards these humans...granted they did come into his home and hurt Ash...

Tne humans were genuinely baffled, not one but...two humans were living amongst this tribe of apes...what had they gotten themselves into?

The man in blue seemingly swallowed a lump in his throat as he noticed the glares that were being sent to them...acting in aggression would surely result in death...it was unclear if any of these individuals would understand English but...he had to try.

"We don't mean any harm!" The man shouted out.

Gabrielle didn't know how true that was...one of them had already harmed her friend.

"They're apes man...you think they understand what you're saying?" The man who shot Ash whispered to the one clad in blue.

"Do they look like just apes to you?" The man questioned Ash's assailant.

That seemed to be a double entendre...not only were there two humans among the ape army, which negated the 'just apes,' notion literally, but even as they took a chance to look at all the apes carefully, they didn't seem like mindless animals.

The way their green eyes glared at them...it was humanoid.

"Put your guns down." The man in blue said calmly as the other humans were left in utter shock.

"You can't be serious..." The African American man trailed off.

"Just...do it." The man in blue said calmly as he tried not to make any sudden movements.

The ape man and the Ape King both had their glares trained onto the humans as they tried to ascertain whether these humans would surrender or not.

Fortunately, the humans had lowered their weapons...it would appear that after hurting an ape...they had decided that a peaceful surrender was their best option.

Caesar's face scrunched up sternly, they would not slaughter these humans, but they weren't going to be soft on them either.

The Ape King then drew in a deep breath.

"GOOO!" Caesar shouted out as this shook every single one of the humans internally.

"Holy shit..." The man who shot Ash said in a hushed tone.

Caesar then dropped down next to Geleel as they both sized the rattled humans up, the latter of the tree began frantically backing up.

"Okay...okay we're going." The man clad in blue shakily told them as his group backed away.

"GOOO!" Koba's shrill voice cut through the air like butter, that was all it took as the other apes began shouting and screaming as well.

The human group scrambled and almost tripped all over themselves before swiftly sprinting away from the army in fear for their lives.

"Dad! My bag!" One of the younger humans shouted, he had dropped his satchel but unfortunately he could not retrieve it as they were forced to continue running out of the forest.

Geleel and Caesar both held their arms out to stop the ape army from advancing without their orders.

The ape man turned as he noticed his daughter pick up that human's satchel...some sort of book had fallen out of the satchel as well.

He took the bag from her as he presented it to his brother.

Caesar examined the bag slightly before handing it back to his brother...the former then focused on the direction the humans had ran off in.

If humans were alive still...they had to figure out what type of settlement or refuge the humans had designed.

"Koba!" Caesar shouted as the scarred Bonobo grunted and walked up to Caesar.

"Follow!" He shouted and signed at the same time.

Koba grunted and bounded forward as Limbo, Stone and Grey followed behind him, they were going to tail the humans to their secret hideout and return back to Caesar with that information.

Caesar stopped Luca from following them, he was far too large for a mission like this.

"Caesar, we must hold a council meeting." Geleel reminded his brother as the latter sighed...he was right; this situation would surely cause civil unrest in the colony.

The two brothers knew a lot of answers were in order...and from the looks Blue Eyes and Gabrielle were both sending towards their fathers, don't answer had better come quick.

"Take Ash to your mother, and be careful." Geleel signed to his daughter as she nodded and began helping Ash; Rocket walked besides them..

Koba

Koba, Limbo, Grey and Stone had been trailing the humans all the way from the forest to the Golden Gate bridge.

They were in a jeep, unknowingly being followed by the four apes.

All four of the apes climbed to the top of the bridge as they watched the jeep drive all the way to the end of the bridge.

"What will we do, father?" Limbo signed to Koba.

"We are outnumbered here, we will go back to the colony and assemble an army to attack the humans." Koba signed back as Limbo nodded in understanding.

There was only four of them, and the humans had guns...they needed the entire army...then they could come back and slaughter all of these dirty humans.

Colony, later...

The colony was still in a uproar even though the events of the morning were hours removed from this moment.

Caesar had called a council meeting as Geleel, Blue Eyes, Maurice, Luca, Rocket, Limbo, Grey, Stone, Gabrielle and Ash, who was still a bit rattled from being shot, sat around him.

Gabrielle was tending to the wound in Ash's shoulder, luckily the bullet had only grazed him so he would live.

Geleel had honestly thought this meeting was going nowhere, he couldn't blame the council members from being in an uproar after what had transpired but...the way everyone was arguing and going back and forth was hindering them from coming to a decision.

Ofcourse at the helm of all the debate and confusion was none other than Koba, the council's main instigator...the fact humans had made a shocking return and in malicious fashion was making Koba's job all too easy; he was riling everyone up.

Geleel sighed to himself as he tried to drown out the Bonobo's constant grunting and chuffing, the other apes hooting and screeching were not aiding anything.

The ape man then directed his attention to Maurice who cooed to grab his attention...the Orangutan had presented a sketchbook to Geleel, the book was among the many items in the satchel they had taken.

Along with the many sketches was a digital photograph of a woman...the ape man was conflicted about that photo, how could humans seem so happy in their pictures yet be so disdainful in person?

"Must attack them now!" Koba signed with a loud grunt as Maurice and Geleel turned to him again, the wise Orangutan was heavily against that.

"We don't know how many they are...or how many guns they have." Maurice reminded Koba as this fortunately shut the Bonobo up for a bit.

"Or why they came up here." Luca added to Maurice's point, Geleel silently agreed with them, atleast they were thinking rationally as council members.

Koba did not give up on his instigation...if Luca and Maurice wouldn't see his reasoning through, he would utilize his skills on Rocket, in hindsight the bald chimp should be vulnerable and angry after his son was shot.

"They shot your son, Rocket...don't you want to fight?" Koba questioned Rocket with a grunt.

"I follow Caesar and Geleel...whatever decision they come to will be what's best for everyone." Rocket immediately shut down Koba's attempt at manipulation.

Koba grunted again in exasperation before turning to Caesar, none of his instigation was working, but he still had to see what the King had to say.

"Koba...right." Blue Eyes' voice came out with a crack as Gabrielle stopped tending to Ash and immediately zoned in on her cousin.

She was tuning out the rest of the meeting as she tended to Ash, they were all grunting and hooting loudly anyways, no decision was being made as to what they were going to do about those humans...she had no idea her own kind could even be that scary.

However, her thoughts were still trained on her cousin, he almost never spoke outloud, so seeing the frantic look on his face let her know how serious he was about Koba being correct in this situation...but if one small weapon did this to Ash...how much damage could the humans cause with more of them? She wasn't so sure Koba was right...

"They almost killed you, Ash! They have to pay!" Blue Eyes signed angrily as Limbo hooted and tapped the Prince's shoulder in agreement, they almost never got along but ofcourse this was the one thing that brought the two young males together.

Blue Eyes' outburst had set the council into another fit of loud screeches and grunts, back to square one they were.

Caesar sighed to himself before training his green eyes onto his brother...neither of them had said anything since the meeting had begun.

Geleel motioned for his brother to say something to put a stop to the commotion...this resulted in Caesar drawing in another long breath...these humans had made his job much more difficult.

However, one thing was for certain, the constant debate over whether they should go to war with the humans or not had a clear answer in the Ape King's mind.

"NO!" Caesar suddenly exclaimed as his powerful and booming voice sucked the air out of everyone, the council was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

All eyes were now trained on him...the King had spoken.

"If we go to war...we could lose all we've built..." Caesar signed, making sure they all understood why he detested the idea of fighting the humans.

"Home." He began whilst signing the word as well.

"Family." The King continued before turning to Koba and using his hand to raise the Bonobo's head up.

"Future." Caesar finished off his point as Koba seemingly understood, as did all the other apes.

Thankfully, this had seemingly placated everyone, the meeting was no longer a barbaric shouting match.

"I will decide by morning." Caesar signed as he stood up swiftly, the other apes clearing a path for him to walk towards the stairs to his hut.

"When you are finished with Ash's wound come to the hut." Geleel spoke to his daughter as he stood up and began walking after Caesar.

"Yes, dad." Gabrielle called out, the meeting was officially over as everyone began scattering, minus Ash, Gabrielle, Koba and Limbo.

"Father..." Limbo signed to Koba...the latter was looking down at the floor, he often got dismissed by Caesar...or most insipidly, Geleel, but it didn't change how annoying it was...maybe he needed a different approach.

"Go find your mother, we have much to discuss." Koba signed to his son who nodded to him before immediately standing up.

Limbo paused to look at Ash and Gabrielle as they both trained their eyes right back to him.

He then turned swiftly and began walking off.

"Come Ash, I need to get my mother's soothing balm." Gabrielle spoke outloud as she began leading Ash away from Koba, the latter glaring at them as they left.

After being shot by a human...how could Ash still trust that girl enough to let her tend to his wounds...and be his friend? If anything her and her entire family should have been executed...yet here they were...that's when realization hit Koba.

Things would never change as long as Caesar didn't see eye to eye with him.

Speaking of the Ape King, he couldn't help but solemnly slump his shoulders as he walked besides his brother, up towards his hut where Emilia was surely tending to Cornelia and the newborn baby.

"This situation is troubling your emotions, brother." Geleel said to Caesar as they stopped for a bit.

"Is it not troubling yours as well?" Caesar signed to his brother.

"Ofcourse it is but...anger is the path to poor decisions, we have to think rationally." Geleel explained to Caesar as the latter couldn't deny that...they couldn't let their emotions get the better of them.

"We do not have to attack the humans and go into another stretch of bloodshed...it takes more strength to display restraint than it does to show aggression...we will handle this matter peacefully, but they will certainly know to never step foot in our home in the manner they did, ever again." Geleel finished his point as he stepped closer to his brother.

"You are right, a warning is in order." Caesar signed as Geleel nodded before bringing their foreheads together, it was good to see they on the same page.

"Caesar." Koba's voice called out as the two brothers separated their foreheads and turned to see the scarred Bonobo climb up the stairs and come towards them.

"For years I was prisoner in their lab...they cut me...tortured me...you freed me." Koba paused before turning to Geleel slightly, the latter gave him an unreadable expression.

"I would do anything you ask Caesar...but we must show strength!" Koba finished with a passionate grunt.

Caesar was seemingly in the contemplation...Koba's resentment towards humans was very tedious but...it was understood to an extent.

"We will show strength Koba..." Caesar signed to the Bonobo before outstretching his arm.

Koba turned to Geleel again to see if the human had anything to say, he did not.

The Bonobo internally smirked, he thought he was getting somewhere in terms if turning Caesar against humanity as a whole.

Koba then locked arms with Caesar, progress was being made.

The Next Morning

Geleel kneeled in the middle of his hut as Emilia was applying his warpaint to his body.

"Are you sure it is a safe idea to go into San Francisco?" Emilia questioned her husband as he sighed.

"We can't be too sure but...we also cannot be complacent in this moment, we have to ensure that the humans know we are not always going to forgive their heinousness." Geleel said as he looked his wife in the eyes, she understood that.

She was devastated when she heard of Ash's injury, he was such a sweet young ape, he did not deserve that, she was just happy he was alive and well.

"I understand my love, I just don't don't want to lose my family..." Emilia said as they both stood up...Geleel's eyes softened at his wife...she had lost so much, he and Gabrielle were all she had.

"Do not worry, I will stay with you until our last breaths...no matter what; do not count on ever losing me." Geleel said firmly as he wrapped his wife in a firm embrace which she immediately returned, luckily she had not applied any paint to his chest.

They separated their hug slowly as they turned to see Gabrielle walk into the hut.

She had her father's spear in her hand.

"Dad..." Gabrielle said before handing the spear to him.

"Please come back to us safely." Gabrielle said as she brought both of her parents into a hug.

"Do not worry about me, you will see this face by sunset." Geleel said as he ruffled his daughter's hair.

She smiled before nuzzling her face into his chest, she wanted to enjoy this moment a little longer before her father had to leave.

San Francisco

Caesar, war paint adorning his face, rode on his horse as he led a giant army of apes through the streets of San Francisco.

His brother rode his own respective horse to the right of him as his son rode to the left.

Behind them were apes like Koba, Limbo, Stone, Rocket, Grey and Fox; all on their own horses.

Brutus, Luca, Silas and the rest of the army found themselves walking on the streets, some even climbed atop the roofs of all the ruined buildings of the once illustrious city.

The army was armed to their teeth, spears, bolas, knives, clubs, bludgeons...they wanted to make a point to these humans.

Geleel's face was stuck in a scowl as he took note of how ruined San Francisco was, broken down cars, overgrown vegetation and broken down buildings...a measly memory of what the city once was...the humans may have not been dead but they practically destroyed themselves...maybe the colony's theory was partially correct.

A sign on the wall read, 'Simian Flu,' with an oddly caricatured ape skeleton.

Caesar grimaced at how disgusting this city looked, he had been through it as a young ape...it was almost a shame to see it in such a state.

Geleel the noticed a tattered poster on a wall that almost put his heart under duress...it was a bounty flyer, and there was no mistaking that photograph, it was his wife...she was not lying all those years back, her father really wanted her dead...he must've influenced the public to view her as a traitor.

Karma struck at the perfect time, the humans lost themselves in the midst of their madness, no one of these insipid beings could probably even pull themselves together to come try and take his wife's life...and if they did they would not succeed.

A sudden alarm blared through the air as the army drew closer to a building that was seemingly under construction...probably left unfinished when the pandemic began.

As the army came to a stop, they watched as the rusted double doors opened to reveal a group of humans...they all wore the same frantic expression...but a vast majority of them were mainly focused on Geleel...an army of apes was one thing, but a human being among them was over the top.

Caesar noticed the man from yesterday, he was clad in blue then, but now he wore a tattered white shirt as he advanced the ape army...still keeping a safe distance whilst his family trailed him slightly.

It was safe to say he was the leader of these humans; so the King ushered his horse forward a bit as they stared eachother down, intense green eyes clashing with frantic blue eyes.

"Malcolm!" A voice shouted as Geleel turned to see a man who was slightly older than the leader of the humans step out between the doors...so the leader was called Malcolm.

Malcolm didn't make any form of indication that he heard the other man, he was still keeping his eyes on Caesar's.

Caesar took his eyes off Malcolm as he scanned the human colony once more...he prepared himself to speak, he would make sure they heard him.

"Apes!" Caesar's voice reverated through the air as the human colony was set into a fit of murmurs and confusion...the ape had spoken...

"Do...not...want...war!" Caesar continued to shout, every word coming off of his tongue with a distinct acerbicness.

"But...will fight...if...we must!" The Ape King finished his tirade before focusing his angered gaze back onto Malcolm.

He could tell Malcolm was rattled but...he was a leader...he stood for the humans with a bravery that Caesar as a leader himself could respect.

Caesar then turned to his son as the latter dismounted his horse with the humans' satchel in hand.

Blue Eyes then walked over to Malcolm with a scowl on his face before crudely dropping the satchel at the man's feet.

Caesar watched as the man picked up the satchel, and his son began walking back to his horse.

Now that the humans had gotten their possessions back; they had zero reason to go back into the Redwoods, other than trouble...

"Ape...home!" Caesar shouted as he gestured behind him, in the general direction of the Redwoods.

His voice had disrupted the poignant quiet that had befell both sides for a small while.

"Human's...home!" He shouted once more as he gestured to the unfinished building in which the colonly resided.

The point had to have been clear by now, so his last words were only for Malcolm.

"Do not...come back." Caesar said quietly, but loud enough for Malcolm to hear him...and that was it.

Geleel was the first to turn as he took his glare off of the many confused faces in the crowd, he didn't owe them an explanation, Caesar had issued the warning, it was time for them to go home.

Caesar turned as well as most of the rest of the army.

Koba seethed slightly as they began retreating back to the Redwoods...he had anticipated the slaughtering of these humans for their crimes...yet all they got were a few choice words.

Limbo was already riding away as he turned his head with an arched brow, why was his father staring the human down still?

Malcolm did not know how a ape that was blind in one eye could send such a shiver down his spine...but he was super fortunate that the deranged Bonobo eventually turned his horse and began walking away, the entire ape army was leaving now, fortunate enough for them.

Geleel continued riding his horse as he turned to his brother...they both had a feeling that they were doing the right thing...no more blood had to be shed...just so long as the humans heeded that warning...because it was their first and FINAL warning.
