It has been two weeks since Ash, Serena, May and Max, left Fortree City, after Ash's and Serena's battles against Winona, for their sixth gym badge.
Serena, who has had her battle first, ended it in a draw, but then on Winona's suggestion, they battled one more round, just so that there can be a winner, but regardless of who wins, Serena would get her badge, as Winona believes that she has deserved it in the original three-on-three battle.
That fourth round, was just as hard for both trainers, as the three before. They have both given it their all, just like their Pokemon, Golbat and Braviary, pushing the battle for a while, until it eventually led to what Serena was really hoping for, except getting a badge. Her Golbat has evolved into a Crobat.
Before he evolved, Golbat was strong, and was able to hold it against Braviary. But, it was obvious as the battle went on, that Braviary was stronger, and that it would win in the end. That all changed when Golbat evolved, and ended up gaining the advantage, which he used to win the battle in the end.
Serena was happy with her win and with her Pokemon evolving. She would have been happy even if she lost, but then she wouldn't feel right if she was to accept the badge. This way, she won, fair and square, and got the Feather Badge, because she has truly deserved it.
Then, there was supposed to be Ash's match, but Winona has asked to battle against him, the same way she did against Serena, where they would use their strongest Pokemon. Ash said that he has nothing against it, but that he wants to battle with his new Pokemon, so that they can gain battle experience, which they need. In the end, they agree that Ash will use two of his newer Pokemon along with one of his strongest, while Winona will use two of her mid-level Pokemon, along with her strongest, which is obviously a Salamence.
As such, since Salamence just came out of the battle against Serena, it needs to rest and recover, so the battle between Ash and Winona was pushed to the next day.
The next day, Ash and Winona had a three-on-three battle, where Ash used Grovyle, Combusken and as his final Pokemon, he chose his Amaterasu (for those who don't remember, Amaterasu is Ash's female Charizard). Ash really thought about using one of his less powerful Pokemon, as he thought that using one of his most powerful, would be an overkill, but he wanted to put one of his Charizard through some battle, as they haven't been in one for a while. As such he decided to go with Amaterasu, and then next time he has to battle with one of his stronger Pokemon, then he would use, Ra (his male Charizard).
Winona went and used her Swellow, and Gyarados, as her two mid-level Pokemon, while Salamence was her ace Pokemon, and she used it in the third round.
After the first two rounds, the match was in a draw. Combusken was able to defeat Swellow, but then lost to Gyarados, though he did land a few good attacks. Then on the second round, Grovyle and Gyarados tied, as they knocked each other out. The third round left Salamence against Amaterasu, and it was supposed to be a great battle, with Winona using Mega Evolution on her Salamence. It turned out that even as powerful as Mega Salamence is - which is quite powerful - it had no chance against Amaterasu - which is considered to be the fourth strongest of all of Ash's Pokemon - only overpowered by Mega Lucario, Alakazam and Pikachu, while being at the same level as Ash's other Charizard, and Ash's Mega Pidgeot.
Amaterasu completely dominated the battle, landing powerful attacks with easy, while dodging Salamence's attacks. Even a few attacks that did hit her, were useless, as they weren't powerful enough to do more than cause her a small bruise, but nothing else. The battle ended when Amaterasu used Dragon Rage, to defeat Mega Salamence, who couldn't do anything to avoid the attack, nor it had the power and endurance to get up after being hit by it.
Winona was in awe with how powerful Ash's Charizard is, and was shocked when she heard that it was only his fourth strongest Pokemon. The same goes for May and Max, who had no idea that some of Ash's Pokemon, are THAT powerful.
After the battle, Winona presented a Feather Badge to Ash, before she congratulated him on a win, and on getting his sixth badge. Now, he only needs two more, to qualify for the Hoenn League. The same goes for Serena.
Ash and the gang stayed in the Fortree City, the rest of that day, and the night, before they left the City the next morning, and started their journey toward the next gym, which is in Mossdeep City.

The gang agreed a while ago, when Serena and May expressed desire to catch some Flying, Rock and Ghost Type Pokemon; to go and visit the Hoenn Safari Zone, as well as Mr. Pyre. As such, they are all standing in line, behind a bunch of other trainers - some younger than them, and some few years older - though they were all teenagers.
"What's up with all this crowd?" Serena asked, as she was standing in line next to Ash, and in front of May and Max? "I didn't expect this many people here."
"Well, it's a Safari Zone, where people can get a chance to capture a lot of Pokemon, in one place," surprisingly, it was Max who gave this information, and not Ash, who is usually the one who informs others of everything they don't know. "As such, it's a popular place for trainers to visit and increase the number of Pokemon they have."
"There must be some rules and limits, though," Serena questioned. "If everyone is allowed to come and go as they please, and capture as many Pokemon as they want, then there would be none left."
This time, Ash spoke. "That's right. You weren't traveling with me through Kanto, so you don't know the rules of the Safari Zone."
Serena looked at Ash. "What do you mean," she asked? "What are the rules?"
"Well," Ash spoke. "First, you get 30 special Safari Balls, which you use to capture Pokemon, which means that you are limited to capturing 30 Pokemon. Second, you are not allowed to battle against the Pokemon in there, before you catch them. You just have to throw the ball at them, and if you are lucky, you will catch them, if you are not, then you go to the other Pokemon. As such, not many manage to catch more the half a dozen Pokemon, and even that is a lot most of the time. On top of that, you actually have to pay a fee to enter into the Safari Zone. When I was traveling through Kanto, we entered without paying, but that was a rarity. Usually, you must pay to enter. When you take all that into account, you realize that not that many Pokemon are captured, and there is never a threat of them running out of Pokemon, because the money was used to pay for other Pokemon to be brought here, from other places in Hoenn as well as other regions."
"I guess you are right," Serena said. "With those rules, there is no way that the Safari Zone would run out of Pokemon. Not with the trainers having to rely on luck, to be able to catch even one Pokemon, not to mention more of them."
"But that's a problem for us," May said. "We also have to rely on luck."
Ash looked at May. "Didn't you say that you don't plan to catch anything here, and are planning to focus on the Mt. Pyre, and the Ghost Pokemon over there?" Ash asked.
May shrugged. "I can catch two or three Pokemon, just in case I want to trade them some day. With Golduck, Wooper and Magnemite, that would mean that I would have five, maybe six Pokemon to trade, for other Pokemon, I would want to train. Also, there might be some Rock Type Pokemon here, and I can catch them."
"And where exactly do you plan to trade all of those Pokemon?" Ash asked. "We have missed a Swap Meet in Lilycove City. It was a week ago, and the next one won't be in six months. By then, the Pokemon League would be over, and while I don't know about you, I won't be going back to the Lilycove, just for the Swap Meet."
"Maybe we'll run into some trainer, who will be willing to trade," May said. "You never know."
"Ahm, excuse me," a voice spoke, making all of them look at it. It was a girl, around the same age as Serena, with long black hair, and brown eyes. She was looking at them, especially at Ash, while wearing a little red on her cheeks, much to the annoyance of Serena and May, who frowned when they saw a blush. "Did I just hear you said that the Swap Meet in Lilycove has been a week ago?" She ended up asking Ash.
"Yeah, I did," Ash said, with a confused look on his face. He wondered what this is about. "What about it?"
"Well, it's just that… you are wrong," the girl said, making Ash, along with Serena, May and Max, look at her with wide eyes. They were surprised because Ash is almost never wrong, but most importantly. No one has ever said to his face that he was wrong, even when he is.
"I know that the Swap Meet was supposed to be last week, because my sister went there six months ago, and she told me that it's held once every six months," Ash spoke. "The six months since the last one, was last week."
"That's right," the girl nodded. "But it was moved back by two weeks, because apparently, there are going to be many trainers from other regions who want to come, so it was moved to give the trainers even more time to come to Lilycove."
The eyes of Ash and the gang widened in disbelief, as they heard this. If what the girl said is true, then that means that they is a chance for them to get to Lilycove City, by the time the Swamp Meet starts.
"Which day next week is the Swap Meet, held?" Serena asked.
"It's next Saturday." The girl said.
"Great," Serena said with a smile. "Today is Tuesday, which means that we have nearly 11 days to get there."
"We will get there in time," Ash said to Serena. "Unless of course something happens, but I'm sure that nothing will happen from now to then, as the only place we have to visit after we leave here, and get to Lilycove, is the Mt. Pyre."
"You plan to go to Mr. Pyre?" The girl questioned.
"Yes," Ash said. "Why?"
"There is going to be a tournament held there on the Saturday," she said. "It's for the Ghost Type trainers, and while anyone can enter, they can only use Ghost or part Ghost Type Pokemon. The winner of the tournament is going to be given a special prize, though no one knows what it will be. The second and third place, will also be given some rewards, but again, no one knows what they will be. I also heard that Phoebe will be there, and that she will be having a one-on-one battle against the winner of the tournament, and will be giving an additional award, in the event that she is actually defeated by that trainer."
Serena, May and Max, felt like their eyes are going to pop out from their eye-sockets, when they heard this. Ash was also surprised, and he had his eyes widened, though not as much as his girlfriend and friends.
"Wow," May suddenly said. "I can't believe that there is going to be a tournament for Ghost Type Trainers. And on top of that; Phoebe will be there, and will battle against the winner. I definitely have to enter this. As an aspiring Ghost Type trainer, this is a perfect opportunity for me to learn from other Ghost Type Trainers."
Ash, Serena and Max, looked at her with raised eyebrows. "You only have one Ghost Type Pokemon." Max suddenly said, making May fall on her knees, as she realized that he is right.
"Fuck!" She said, much to everyone's shock, as they never heard her swear.
May suddenly perked up and said. "But I have a Mega Stone for him." There was a smile on her face.
"You don't have a Key Stone." Max said in a deadpan, making May fall back to her knees.
"Shit!" She swore, once again, making everyone's eyes twitch in disbelief and frustration at May's acting, and her language.
"You should stop with that language, May," Ash told her. "It's not right for a young lady to speak like that."
May blushed because she was reprimanded by Ash, before she got up on her feet. "Sorry," she apologized. "I'm just frustrated. This is a good chance for me to learn about being a Ghost Type Trainer, and I can't even enter the tournament, because I only have one Ghost Pokemon."
"Maybe we'll run into one or two on the way to Mt. Pyre, and you can catch it." Serena said.
"That's a long shot," May sighed. "We've been traveling for a while, and yet, we haven't run into many Ghost Type Pokemon. They live in dark and hidden places, and not out in the open, where everyone can find them.
"Yes, but the area around Mt. Pyre, does have some Ghost Type Pokemon, so I'm sure we can find some, for you to capture?" Max said.
"Actually," the girl spoke again, gaining everyone's attention. "You can enter with just one Pokemon."
"I can?" May beamed as soon as she heard this.
"Yes," the girl said. "All the battles are one-on-on, which means that you can enter with just one Pokemon. There is no rule to prevent that, or the rule that says that you have to use different Pokemon in different rounds. The only rules related to the Pokemon is that the Pokemon, must be a Ghost or part Ghost Type. Beyond that, it's up to you which Pokemon you chose, and how many Pokemon you use during the tournament. Naturally, you would have bigger chances to win with more Pokemon, as the breaks between rounds are short, so with one Pokemon, it won't have the time to rest and prepare for the next rounds."
"That's great," May smiled. "That means that I can enter. It doesn't really matter if I win, but just by competing, I'm sure I can learn a lot."
Ash smiled at May. He was happy with the way she was looking at things, as that's exactly how trainers should look at the battles. They should chase knowledge and skill, before they start chasing wins.
"Well then, if you are going to enter into that tournament, then you better prepare your Pokemon for the next few days until we get there." Ash advised May.
"I will," she said. "We will train and by Saturday, we will be ready for the tournament, and to at least get to the semifinals."
"Well see about that," Ash said with a smirk. "Because I will enter as well."
May paled when she heard this, and prayed to god, not to battle against Ash, until the end of the tournament. She then turned to Serena, and asked her. "What about you, Serena. Will you enter?"
Serena shock her head. "I don't have any Ghost Type Pokemon, so I won't enter," she said. "Besides, my interests are in Flying Type Pokemon, so competing in a Ghost Type Pokemon tournament isn't interesting to me."
May sighed. "Well, one strong opponent less for me to battle."
Ash smiled, before he looked at the girl who gave them all these information's, before he said. "Thank you for telling us all of this," Ash thanked the girl, with a smile on his face. The smile and thanks made the girl blush and look away from him. "Without you, we would know about the Swamp Meet in Lilycove City, nor about the tournament on Mt. Pyre. As such, we are grateful."
"It-It's ok." The girl stuttered a little, still not looking at Ash, as she was hiding her blushing face.
XXX
About 15 minutes later, Ash, Serena, May and Max, were inside of the small shack next to the entrance to the Safari Zone. Inside of the shack, along with them, was an old man dressed in white pants, white shoes, light blue shirt, with yellow pattern across the shirt. He had white hair, and a wristwatch on his left arm. He looked like he is in his sixties, and is a bit plump, but doesn't seem like he is going to keel-over, anytime soon.
The old man wrote down Ash, Serena, May and Max's names, and gave all of them, except Max, a set of 30 Safari Balls, each, which they can use to capture the Pokemon in the Zone. He didn't give any balls to Max, as he isn't a trainer yet, so he will have to wait for another chance.
Max wasn't angry though. He knew that he won't be given a chance to catch any Pokemon that day, and he was fine with that. Besides, he already has six Pokemon, which May caught and gave him, and he isn't even a trainer yet. As such, he has enough Pokemon to train before he becomes a trainer on his 10th birthday, which will be next year.
Once they were given the balls, and told the rules, Ash and the gang paid the fee of 1000 Poke Dollars - each - before they were allowed to enter into the Safari Zone.
They all stood several meters pass the gate, and looked at the area which is considered to be the Hoenn Safari Zone. The area is huge to the point that most of it can't be seen from the gate. The entire zone is divided in several smaller areas, and in each area, different Pokemon live in, depending on their types.
"How will we split up," Serena asked as they were standing there, thinking of where to begin. Technically, there is no time limit, like they have to get back in an hour or two, but they aren't allowed to stay in the Zone after the night falls, so they have to get back by 8 O'clock in the evening, so… there is some kind of a time limit, but if you get early in the morning, you can spend all day in there, which is more the enough to catch some Pokemon… if you are lucky.
"How about the same way we split in the Granite Cave," Ash suggested. "Max will stay with me, while the two of you, will go together. The last time you were very lucky that way."
Serena and May looked at each other, and both shrugged. They had nothing against that, and they knew that Ash was right. In the Granite Cave, they were lucky to find a Mega Stone, few other stones and some Pokemon. That's more than what 90% of the trainers who visit the Granite Cave, find.
"I have nothing against that," May said. "What about you, Serena?"
"I'm fine with that," Serena said. "We will cover more ground, and Max would be safer with Ash, then with either of us."
"Ok, then it's settled," Ash said. "We'll meet here around 7 o'clock tonight. Is that fine with you? That should give you enough time to catch some Pokemon."
"Its fine." Serena said and May nodded.
And so, Ash and Max went to one side of the Safari Zone, while May and Serena, went to the other.

Ash and Max were walking through the grass area of the Safari Zone, looking around, and trying to find any Pokemon. Max wasn't going to catch anything, but Ash could, if he wanted to. He never said that he wants to catch something, though.
"Are you going to catch something?" Max asked.
"Maybe a couple of Pokemon," Ash said. "I can use them for a trade at the Swap Meet, as I have no other Pokemon I can trade. I definitely don't want to trade any of my Pokemon, as I spent a lot of time training them, and am close to all of them."
"You can't catch just about anything though," Max said. "Other trainers won't trade some rare Pokemon, for just about any other, so no Oddish and that kind of Pokemon."
"I know," Ash said. "I'm hoping to catch a Heracross, maybe a Parasect, Ariados, or some other Pokemon of that level or above. They can draw the attention of other trainers, unlike their pre-evolved form."
Max nodded, before he looked around. After a few more minutes of walking, Max saw something and looked at Ash. "There is your chance." He said, as he looked toward a Pokemon. Ash looked where Max was looking toward, and saw a Pokemon, which made him raise an eyebrow.
It was a yellow and purple Pokemon, which resembled an Arachnid. It had a very unique appearance and it's not a Pokemon seen in Kanto, Johto or Hoenn. It's a Pokemon from Unova Region, whose name is Galvantula. It's a Bug/Electric Type, which is a very interesting combination, for a very interesting Pokemon. Now, while Ash is interested in all Pokemon, and doesn't have preferences in training them, meaning he CAN see himself training a Galvantula; in the end, he isn't all that interested in this Pokemon, but he is interested in acquiring it for the trade. A Unova Pokemon in Hoenn are rare, so there is certainly going to be many interesting trainers wanting to get their hands on it.
"What Pokemon is that?" Max asked in wonder.
"That's a Galvantula," Ash replied. "It's a Bug/Electric Type from Unova Region, and the evolved form of Joltik."
"WOW, a Unova Pokemon," Max said with wide eyes and a smile on his face. "I've barely seen any Unova Pokemon before, and this is the second one I've seen in just a few days, after that Braviary that Winona used."
"Well, Unova Pokemon are rare outside of Unova, but they could be found, though rarely," Ash said. "Technically speaking the only Pokemon you can almost never find in other regions, outside of their own, are Alola and Galar Region Pokemon. YES, there are few… maybe, but they really rare. And even then, none of them are the Pokemon which have forms unique to those Regions, like Serena's Ninetales."
"So how do you get an Alolan Ninetales, without going to Alola Region?" Max asked.
"You trade another Pokemon for it," Ash said with a smile. "That's how Serena got her Ninetales."
"And at the Swap Meet, there will be another chance to get more of the Pokemon which are rare in Hoenn, Kanto and Johto?" Max questioned.
"Yes," Ash said. "With any luck, there might be even some Pokemon from the far Regions. There are Regions in the Pokemon World, which even I don't know about, and have never even seen any of the Pokemon from those Regions."
"Wow," Max said. "What Regions are those?"
"I don't know their names," Ash replied. "But there are many of them. This planet is a large place, Max. You didn't really think that there are only eight regions. Did you? The thing is though. They are quite far from the regions we know of, so barely anything is known. As such, I'm hoping that there will be some people from one of those regions, at the Swamp Meet in Lilycove, so that we can see some of the Pokemon from those Regions, and learn something about them."
Max nodded in agreement. "Do you plan to visit those Regions, one day?"
"I don't know," Ash said. "I do plant to travel through all the regions, which are known to us. Outside of that. I'll see in the future, as it will take me while to travel through eight different regions, when I'm only at the third so far."
"What about this Pokemon," Max asked, pointing at Galvantula, which is several dozen meters away from them? "Are you going to catch it? It is a rare Pokemon."
"I'll catch it," Ash said. "But not for myself. I'll catch it to use it for trading in Lilycove City."
"Why," Max asked? "You don't have this Pokemon, so why not keep it?"
"I have no preferences when it comes to the Type of Pokemon I catch and train," Ash said, "but I guess, in a way, I like more powerful and destructive Pokemon. Galvantula can be a powerful Pokemon, but compared to most of the Pokemon I've caught so far, doesn't have as much natural talent. As such, I think it's better to catch it and then trade it with someone who would pay it more attention than I would."
Max was really surprised by what Ash said. He thought that Ash cares about all Pokemon equally and that he has no preferences, but it turns out that he does have preferences, and while he doesn't care about the type of Pokemon, he cares about the natural talent and the destructive powers the Pokemon possess.
Max then watched as Ash took one of the Safari Balls, and threw it at the Galvantula. The Bug/Electric Type was sucked inside of the Poke Ball, which fell on the grass and shock a few times, before it pinged and stopped shaking, signifying that the Pokemon was caught.
"Well, that's one Pokemon caught." Ash said with a smile, before he went and picked up the Poke Ball. "A lucky shot, I guess. Galvantula are not that easy to catch. Trust me on that."
Ash then looked at Max, frowned for a moment, before he took three Safari Balls, and gave them to Max.
Max looked at the balls, before he looked at Ash, with a confused look on his face. "Why are you giving me the balls?"
"I'm not going to catch 30 Pokemon, regardless if I can or can't," Ash said. "I'm giving you three Poke Balls, so you can catch some Pokemon for yourself. I'll show them to the guy at the entrance, and after we leave the Safari Zone, I'll give them to you."
"Really?" Max's eyes lit-up.
"Really." Ash said with a smile. Max took the balls, before he started walking ahead of Ash. He was in a hurry to find and catch some Pokemon for himself. Ash followed him from behind, with a smile on his face.
XXX
Around 15 minutes till 7 o'clock that afternoon, Ash and Max walked out of the Safari Zone, and found themselves in front of the shack, where they saw May and Serena, waiting for them. Besides the two girls, there were few other kids, but there wasn't nearly as many as earlier that day, when there were hundreds of them. Ash guessed that they have already left the Safari Zone and the shack, after they had the Pokemon they caught, registered to them by the old man.
"Hey Ash, Max," Serena greeted them, as soon as she saw them. May also greeted them. "How was your day?" Serena asked.
"It was good," Ash said. "I can't complain, and neither can Max." Serena and May looked at Max, wondering about Ash's words.
"What do you mean?" May asked.
"You'll see." Max said with a smile on his face, making Serena curious, and May frown, as she was denied to know what she wants to know.
"Fine," May said. "Let's go to the shack and register our Pokemon. We need to leave and find a nice place to camp out tonight."
No one said anything to that. They all simply agreed with May, and they all walked into the shack, where they met the old man, who acts as the guardian of the Zone, as well as let's people inside and registers the Pokemon which were captured by the visiting trainers.
"Let's see," the old man said, as he looked at the paper, containing the names of Ash and the others. "Ash, Serena and May. Is that right?"
"Yes," Ash nodded. "That's us."
"Great," the old man said. "Let's see the Pokemon you caught. Release them from the Poke Balls."
"Should we all go at the same time?" May asked.
"No, no," The old man said. "One at the time. We don't want to make a large crowd in here. The shack is not that large."
"Why don't you go first, May." Ash suggested.
May shrugged, before she took all the empty Safari Balls, and left them at the old caretaker's desk. She then took 10 Poke Balls she had left, and released all the Pokemon which were inside.
Ash and Max were quite surprised when they saw all the Pokemon that May was able to catch. And then there is a fact that there are 10 of them, which is a lot, considering that she had to have a lot of luck to catch them without battling them first.
The Pokemon May caught were: Tangela, Gloom, Sunflora, Weepinbell, Beedrill, Pineco, Yanma, Geodude, Rhydon and Corsola.
"Well, you've certainly caught some interesting Pokemon," the old man commented, as he looked at the team. "Especially that Rhydon. They are not easy to catch, just by throwing a Poke Ball at it."
"Actually, he wanted to come with me," May said, as she looked at her Rhydon and smiled at him. "He is the one who approached me, and I figured out that he wants to come with me, so I caught him with no problem."
"Hm," the old man wondered as he looked at Rhydon. "I guess he likes you, if he was willing to come with you just like that." Rhydon nodded at that, and everyone in the room smiled.
"Well, I see no problem with that," the old man said. "You caught it fair and square, so I can't take it from you. I just need to register him to you, along with the others, and then you can catch them all in your own Poke Balls."
The old man spend the next few minutes, registering all of May's Pokemon, on a computer he has in the shack. When he was finished, he said to May that she can catch them all, and she did. She pulled 10 empty Poke Balls from her backpack, and caught all of them. She was happy that she decided to buy some empty Poke Balls, before they arrived in the Safari Zone, or she wouldn't have had enough of them to catch all of these Pokemon. Now that she has caught all of these Pokemon though, she has to buy more Poke Balls, because she has no more left.
"Congrats, May," Ash said. "You got a good bunch, and I'm sure they will do well with you… at least the ones you decide to keep."
"Yeah, they are all good Pokemon," May said. "But except Rhydon, Geodude and Corsola, I'll trade all the others at the Swamp Meet in Lilycove City."
"Ah, so you are another group who came to catch some Pokemon for the Swam Meet." The old man commented, drawing their attention.
"What do you mean?" Ash asked.
The old man smiled. "Most of the kids here today, have come to catch Pokemon for the Swap Meet. This Pokemon Swap Meet will be the biggest ever, as there are people coming from all the known Regions, and it's an opportunity for everyone to get some unknown Pokemon, which they can't get any other way, except to go to other Regions. I'm sure you know that most trainers don't visit more than three maybe four Regions, in their time."
"Why is that?" Serena asked. She hasn't heard of this so far.
"Because most trainers don't amount to anything," Ash said. "Those that do become strong, though, they visit several regions, and then settle down to train at one place in order to become Elite Four, of Champions of their home regions. That's what Cynthia, Diantha, Misty and Leaf, ended up doing. They visited few Regions, and then they started focusing on their training to become Elite Four or Champions."
"Exactly," the old man nodded at Ash's explanation. "As such, many see this upcoming Swamp Meet as the only chance to get some of the Pokemon, which they normally wouldn't be able to get."
"And because of that, all these people have been here today." May stated in understanding.
"That's right," the old man nodded. "Though, there's been an increase in the visitors for several days now. This wasn't just today. By the time the Swap Meet passes, there will be barely any Pokemon left at the Safari Zone, so we will have to bring in a new ones."
From then on, they continued with the registration of Serena's Pokemon. She released all her newly capture Pokemon from the Safari Balls, and they all stood at a group, for everyone to see.
It was an interesting group of Pokemon, that's for sure. Serena has captured; Gloom, Pinsir, Buneary, Pidgeotto, Doduo, Natu, Ledian and Jumpluff.
As the old caretaker was registering Serena's Pokemon to her name, Serena was talking with the other. "How many of them do you plan to trade," Ash asked? "You have several Flying Types there, but are you going to keep them, or trade them."
"I'll probably trade them all," Serena said, getting raised eyebrows from everyone in the room. "I already have Pidgeot, so I don't need Pidgeotto. Doduo, Natu and Ledian are part Flying Types, but I can catch them again if I want to, as they can be found in Kanto, Johto and Hoenn. As for the others, they are not Flying Types, so I only caught them for trading. I hope that since all of these Pokemon are native to Kanto and Johto, I'll be able to trade with some trainers who have never been to Kanto, Johto or Hoenn, so they would want to get some Pokemon from those Regions."
"Not a bad decision, I guess." Ash said.
By then, the old man has finished registering Serena's Pokemon, before he allowed her to catch them in her Poke Balls. She ended up doing that with her new Poke Ball's, which she bought at the same time as May did her own.
Once Serena re-caught all of her new Pokemon, Ash was the only one left to show his new Pokemon. He stepped forward, before he took the Poke Balls, which had new Pokemon in them, and released all the Pokemon from inside.
Ash's new Pokemon were; Galvantula, Parasect, Arbok, Skorupi, Venonat, Ariados, Heracross, Venipede, Sentret, Teddiursa and Slakoth.
Serena raised her eyebrows when she saw the Pokemon Ash caught. She was surprised by the Pokemon such as, Galvantula and Venipede, as they are native to Unova, and she didn't think that they could be found in Hoenn. The others were mostly fine, except maybe Skorupi, as it was Sinnoh Pokemon.
"That's quite the group there," Serena said. "Mostly Bug, Poison and Normal Types."
"I just caught what we came across," Ash said. "I didn't particularly care, since I'll trade them for the Pokemon better suited to me."
Soon, all of Ash's Pokemon were registered to his name, and after that, the gang said goodbye to the old caretaker, before they left, to find a nice place to camp that night.
