"Some…more easy on the eyes…and ears, than others." David said. "Color Gods, I'm starting to sound like Emo. What is this whole Yo-kai business doing to me?"

"I don't know, but I hope you get out of that mood soon. It's really not like you." Lloyd said.

"I know it isn't. But I can't help it. Sometimes, snark is all I got to lighten the mood." David said.

"...I'm going to take that statement as a compliment, and move on." Emo stated as he was reading one of his tomes. "All the same, gotta agree that this adventure has had its ups and downs. Course, the same can be said of all of our journeys."

"Yeah, you're right. It's about making the most of a bad situation." David said. "Speaking of…where is Sunset?"

"Hitting the Crank-a-Kai again. She wants to crank out as many as possible before the final confrontation with the alliance." Jexi said.

"Somehow I'm not surprised. Still, it feels interesting that we're heading to a museum." David said.

"Oh yeah, you mentioned that you wanted to follow in Cheetah's footsteps and become an archaeologist at one point, right?" Sachiko asked.

"Yep. So I need to brush up on knowing ancient history, and a museum seems a good place to start." David said.

"I am so glad that you have taken such an interest in ancient history! I shall guide you in everything you need to know." Raine said.

"Hope your ears are ready, Dave. Once Professor Raine gets started about ancient history, she doesn't stop." Lloyd said.

"Just be sure not to end up with a Ruin Mode like her." Marta added.

"Relax, I'm not gonna go that far… At least, I hope I don't." David said.

"Well don't be too excited cause we'll be going in under the cover of night." Jexi said.

"So a Night at the Museum huh?" Haruto asked.

"Yeah…walked right into that one." Jexi said. "It's the only time the Yo-kai there prowl around."

"It would make sense." Ajna said. "Spirits tend to be more active at night."

"How many Yo-kai do you think we'll find there?" Rin asked.

"Hard to say…" Mayumi said. "But I'm sure we're bound to find at least a couple, given the kinds of exhibits they might have."

"Also…if you guys happen to see a suit of samurai armor in there…steer clear of it." Dan said.

"Wait, what?" Klonoa asked.

"Trust us. It's best if you do just that." Pit said.

"It's not gonna be like that time XANA possessed Yumi's armor, is it?" Sachiko asked.

"Only difference is that no one would actually be possessing it." Jeremie said.

"Because it's a Yo-kai, right?" Rebecca asked.

"Because it's most likely a Yo-kai." Scarlet agreed. "We'll keep an eye out and try to avoid it."

It was soon nightfall as the group entered the museum.

"Wow, this place sure is creepy at night." Al said.

"You know, it's odd that there aren't more horror games in museums. There's so much potential there." ZS said.

"I actually don't want to think about that." David said.

"Dave, whatever you're about to say, please don't. You might end up jinxing it." Mayumi said.

"So what should we do? Split up?" Klonoa asked.

"Well well…what do we have here?" a voice asked as a big green Yo-kai with a pompadour and a bat approached. "A gaggle of nerds coming in late to study."

"And there's one of the Yo-kai who live here. A punk by the name of Badude." Sunset said.

"He looks like Roughraff's big brother." Shiki said.

"And like him, he also makes people into delinquents, except bigger and badder." Sunset said.

"You two nerds done with your little nerd talk?" Badude said as he brandished his nailed bat.

Shiki walked up as he used his Ether Gear, making the gravity beat down on Badude, sending him flat into the ground.

"Though he really isn't bright." Sunset said, collecting his medal.

"Could've fooled us." Emo remarked with his trademark snark. "So, like Klonoa said, are we splitting up or not?"

"Spliting up is never a good idea in horror situations." Mermista pointed out.

"She has a point. And in those movies… The comic reliefs are the first to die." David said, shivering at the conversation.

"Then I guess you're in the clear." Emo said, patting David on the shoulder. "We're sticking together then."

The group explored the museum as they wandered through the hallways. As they did, they saw a wandering pink block of mochi as it was staring down a nearby mirror.

"Another palette swap Yo-kai. What's this one do?" Koneko asked.

"Minochi makes you irrationally jealous." Sunset said.

"He's staring at a mirror…maybe that's Mirapo." Bow said.

"Maybe but let's think about this for…" Twilight said as some of the guys already went over and beat up Minochi.

"Done!" Luffy said as they came back with Minochi and the mirror.

"Uh…a…nice effort but…that…isn't Mirapo." Sunset said, the mirror in question being paler with a black border.

Mircle

"Another palette swap, then." Koneko said.

"That is Mircle. It's a Yo-kai that contains evil Yo-kai." Sunset said.

"You chumps are lucky I'm empty right now!" Mircle said in annoyance.

"Sorry about that." Mark sighed. "We'll try and make it up to you later."

"Yeah, I'm sure you will." Mircle rolled his eyes.

"Get lost, fake mirror!" Bakugo said as the guys tossed away the Yo-kai after claiming the medal from him.

"Now that was just rude, Katsuki." Toriel lightly chided.

"Plus if you break him, that's 7 years bad luck." Pinkie said.

"He was a mirror that held evil Yo-kai. I don't think we should be giving him that much leeway." Dhar said.

"Who dares throw mirrors in this museum?" a voice called out as emerging was a being clad in white and wielding a spear.

"Now I shall show you no mercy and…ah!" Benkei said as he ended up falling face first to the ground.

"Yeah…this one was always pretty clumsy." Sunset said.

"And he's supposed to be named after one of Japan's greatest warriors, Musashi's brother no less." Sakura said.

"Yoshitsune's retainer." David corrected.

"Yes. That is correct." a voice said.

"Well thank…" David said before he saw the cyan scroll-like ninja there as he jumped. "Whoa…didn't even feel his presence."

"Which makes sense for this one. No one can sense Nul." Sunset said.

Nul

"Please please, I don't need this attention." Nul said, sliding back a bit.

"His lack of presence also makes it hard for this guy to make friends." Sunset said.

"So, he's a bit of the shy type. Got it." Trish said.

"Hey, it's fine. We'd like to be friends with you." Princess Twilight said.

"Oh…I don't think I'd mind that." Nul said as he immediately went and surrendered his medal.

"He seems like a nice guy." David said.

"He really is." Sunset said.

The group wandered the museum for a bit as they looked around.

"Weird, last time, this place was full of Mirapo. Wonder where they all went." Sunset said.

"Maybe they all moved?" Penny suggested.

"It couldn't have been the Yo-kai Alliance. What if it was that samurai armor?" Homura asked.

"You better not be saying that cause you wanna fight it." Kaminari said.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night." Homura said. "Cause I think you people judge way too much. You need to be more respectful and…"

"And that's my cue to.." Sunset said, shining the watch to show a big headed woman with white skin and a big mouth.

"Geez, Homura too?" Weisz asked.

"Nagatha…she makes you act surly and nag the living daylights out of people." Hope said.

"So she's kinda like that snake from the Dissidia world?" Bow asked.

"Kinda like Copperled." Sunset said.

"Copperled? You know him?" Nagatha said in disgust.

"Take it you do too?" Rainbow asked.

"Know him? He's my ex husband." Nagatha said.

"If it cheers you up, our angel pal beat the snot out of him." Asta said.

"That does actually." Nagatha said. "Eh…I'm satisfied." she said, tipping them with her medal as she left and stopped inspiriting Homura.

"Can't believe I let that happen to me." Homura said.

"You really can't be prepared for when these Yo-kai come and inspirit ya. Though…you did have a point." Jexi said. "Maybe the Mirapo were moved elsewhere."

"Yeah but who would…" Sunset said as something hit her in the face. "Ugh…what in the…" she said, holding a disembodied helmet head with facial hair.

"Helmsman?! But how…" Zoro said.

"I was separated from my body when that armor went on the attack." Helmsman said.

"Oh geez. Where did it go to?" Sunset said.

"I think…down that wing?" Helmsman said looking to the hall labeled History of Japan.

"Of course. Why are we not surprised it would go there?" David asked. "Anyway, let's go. But we'll need to be quick. If that living armor catches us, we might be in trouble."

"You know, you haven't mentioned why we need to avoid this armor." Mark pointed out. "It's not at the level of Thorn, is it?"

"No, it's just very annoying to deal with. Plus while it's unbroken, it's pretty much invulnerable." Sunset said.

"Duly noted." Mark said.

They headed down said hall, entering to see two Yo-kai lazing about on the ground. One being a white and blue katana with multiple blades and the other a small sleeping lion.

"Isn't it weird that we've encountered nothing but palette swaps since we've got here?" Eddy asked. "Is this where they all hang out or something?"

"Technically, Lie-In's a baby Yo-kai form of Lie-in Heart, but yeah, it is a theme here." Scarlet agreed.

"Palette swap or not, a lot of them do have different powers from their main counter…wait…there's our target." Nami said as they saw a headless body walking around aimlessly.

"Look, there's your body!" Kieran said to Helmsman.

"So, Helmsman and Armsman are one Yo-kai with two separate bodies?" Glimmer asked.

"Just watch." Hope said.

Helmsman flew over to Armsman as the two went and fused together, creating a whole new warrior, one wielding a mighty Jumonji yari spear as he spun it around. "Reuknight!"

"I am whole once again!" he cheered.

"Welcome back." Emo stated. "Hey, since you ran into the armor, you happen to know what he was doing?"

"Yes, I remember now…it's captured all the Mirapo that lived in this museum." Reuknight informed the group. "Even the visiting Miradox. It's taken them all to the back storage room."

"Of course. No choice then. We're gonna have to teach it a lesson." Jexi said.

"Follow me! I shall lead the way." Reuknight said as the group headed to the storage room. "In case any of you were wondering, it was on orders from the Yo-Kai Alliance that Phantasmurai was to capture all the Mirapo in this museum."

"Huh, so it was both rather than just one of them." Yuri said.

"It does make sense. With the Mirapo Network, they'd have a much easier time hopping between worlds." Penny remarked.

"A-Are you sure it's invulnerable to everything?" Bernadetta asked. "I-It has to have a weakness, right?"

"Bernadetta's right, this Phantasmurai has to have a weakspot somewhere." Adora noted.

"Just attack its chest armor, you'll see its real body if you break that." Zoro said.

They kicked down the door to the storage room to see a bunch of Mirapo and a three sided mirror all tied up while guarding them was a large suit of red samurai armor, wielding a sword.

"Let the Mirapo and Miradox go!" Noelle demanded.

"Why are you demanding that? You know this is gonna end in a fight anyway." Ragna said.

"Sorry…never hurts to…" Noelle said as she and Ragna jumped back as the armor swung its sword down between them. "Didn't even wait for us to finish! How rude!"

"Yeah, this thing's wild. So don't hold back on it." Zoro said.

"Okay… Let's see how it responds to this. Ice Needles!" David said as he fires icicles at the armor. "Genis, got something for this?"

"I think I might. Stone Blast!" Genis said as he fired stones right at the armor.

Phantasmurai stumbled back for a bit before charging again.

"My turn!" Frosta said as she went in close, dodging Phantasmurai's sword. She then conjured Ice Fists on both her hands before doging another swing and started hitting it in the chest armor, boxing style, with back to back punches.

"Resound, o crimson flames and blaze brightly!" Stahn chanted, barraging Phantasmurai with flames as Veigue charged in.

"I'll end your pathetic existence in this moment!" Veigue said, executing ice-imbued slashes before trapping the Yo-kai in a glacier.

"Go!" Stahn called, leaping over to the other side of the glacier

"Finishing Strike! Embrace End!" the two called, slashing through from opposite sides, causing the icicle to shatter. This also caused the chest armor to shatter, revealing a small mouse with cornflower blue fur, white paws, and a yellow moon marking on its head, who looked panicked at its loss of cover.

"You've got to be kidding." Homura said.

"It's no joke. What you're looking at…is the real Phantasmurai." Zoro said. "Just a suit of armor being controlled by that mouse."

"That's just sad." Ragna said.

"Quick, hit the mouse!" Eddy called out as he fired a Ki shot at Phantasmurai's true form.

The mouse squeaked as it changed from repairing to avoiding the hits as it ended up jumping out of the armor and running off.

"Yeah, you better run!" Carmine taunted the mouse. "And that's another minion out of commission!"

"Ugh…that mouse was annoying the first time around." Zoro said.

"Least it's out of the way. Come on." Sunset said as they worked to untie the Mirapo and Miradox.

"So what's the bigger one do?" Lloyd asked.

"Miradox is a portal into the past. The Mirapo were the main objective." Sunset said as she collected the medals. "And with that…we now have the Mirapo network up and running once again!"

"The Yo-kai Alliance are gonna be cheesed off once they find out about this." Kaibara said.

"I was surprised they enlisted that mouse. I bet there's still some bosses under their thumbs." Applejack said.

"Come to think of it…there's one certain Yo-kai I can see working under them." Hope remembered. "...Dr. Maddiman."

"The one Mukuro mentioned?" Klonoa asked.

"Yeah, he's a sick bastard." Kazuichi said. "He's had it out for us for a long time. He even tried using Chiaki to get to us."

"Normally I would agree but…I don't think Maddiman is working with them at all." Sunset said.

"Why do you think that?"

"I…just have a good feeling." Sunset said. "Look, you can't go accusing him just cause he's tried to kill you a few times."

"You're right Sunset. We won't know for sure if Maddiman's with the alliance unless we have proof." Hope said. "Besides…it does kind of feel like things have quieted down with him lately. Maybe he's given up?"

"I still think he's up to something sinister." Usopp said.

"Yeah, same." Kaito said.

"You guys are…how about this, tomorrow night, if it'll make you feel better, we'll scour the old hospital he used to inhabit and see for ourselves if he's up to something." Sunset said. "(And show you he's trying to change.)"

"Okay, fine." Hope said. "Yeah. Tomorrow, Nocturne Hospital."
