Author's Notes: This story takes place with the TMNT movie 1990, however there will be changes. For example: Instead of Danny having a walkman, he'd have an Ipod. My memories are not that reliable with what was around in 1989, so this story takes place sometime in the early 2000's. Cell phones would exist but when April is at her grandparents house, it's a dead zone. I've recently come to the knowledge that Danny was actually only 13 in the movie. Well in this story he's in high school. There will be dialogue taken directly out from the movie, so be warned.

Chapter 1 - Unwanted Interruptions

"Naomi time for school!"

The girl in question was just adding a pair of gold hoop earrings to her ears and called down. "Yea, dad I know. Since when have I ever been late?" She grabbed her black leather jacket and slung it over her shoulder, blowing a bright pink bubble as she skipped down the stairs of the condo she and her dad shared.

She wore a short jean skirt, black leggings and a white tanktop with some rock band pictured on it, her dark blond hair was just below her ears, cut in a short rounded bob with her bangs spilling messily onto her forehead.

"And no skipping today." her father admonished as she sat down. Unceremoniously she pulled the gum out of her mouth, flinging it to the garbage can located behind her and began greedily eating a plate of sunny side up eggs and two slices of rye toast. He made a face at his daughter's messy eating and how she didn't bother to check if the gum went into the can, although it was a perfect shot. "I can tell who you take after and it's clearly not your mother."

Naomi grinned. "Yea, you are kind of a slob, dad." She finished her food quickly and stood, slipping into her jacket and grabbing her bag.

"Naomi!" Her father crossed his arms, giving her a stern look. "I mean it, school's important."

Naomi sighed. "Yea, I know. It's just the same stuff as always, and I do decent work even if I do skip half the day or so."

"Naomi!"

The blond girl sighed. "Ok, I'll be good. Can I at least visit the arcade after class?"

"If you attend the entire day." Her father pulled out his wallet, about to hand her the bill. Although in the last second before she was able to grab it, he snatched it back. "Promise me, Naomi?"

"Ok, I promise I will stay at school this time." Naomi held out her hand expectantly for the offered cash, giving her best 'I'm as innocent as a kitten' expression.

Cash in hand, she headed out the door, a fresh twenty in her pocket, and a devious look on her face as she grabbed her bike and left. "Sucker! Since when do I ever keep promises, you never did."

"Hey Naomi." Danny called as he watched the girl heading towards the front doors after lunch. The boy in question was wearing black jeans and a Metallica T-shirt. By this point in time most people knew she and sometimes a few other girls would ditch and play hooky the rest of the day. Usually it was Naomi, a black girl with short cropped hair called Destiny, and another light skinned girl with freckles and flaming red hair called Kassandra; or Kassy as most called her.

"What do you want Danny?" Naomi groaned, not amused by his presence. She still remembered when he'd tried asking her out and she rejected him, calling him a dork, a nerd and a few other insults. Danny had ignored the insults. Apparently he didn't know how to take no for an answer.

"Skipping again today?" Danny asked by way of conversation starter.

Naomi rolled her eyes. "What do you want Danny? Spit it out already?"

"Well I was thinking I could show you somewhere new. You always go to the arcade, but there's a new place a bunch of us have been meeting up lately." Danny glanced around to make sure no one was close enough to overhear and leaned closer. "What we do is way cooler then hitting the arcade. We're actually part of something great."

Naomi reached out and pushed him aside, taking a step past with a groan of disgust. "I don't have time for your crap Danny."

Danny shrugged. "Your loss, but Destiny is a member now."

Naomi paused and slowly turned back. What he said, did spike her interest, slightly. "So, where is this place Danny?" she asked with a fake smile plastered onto her face as she threw an arm around his shoulders. "You know, for old times sake and all."

Without so much as another word, the two exited the school. Ignoring the noise of kids shouting and teachers yelling, the two were quick to climb on their bikes, leaving the property, heading to the nearest bicycle lock up center, which happened to be nearby a subway station where they could leave their bikes before getting on the subway that would take them towards the edge of town and then would take a ferry to Lairdmen Island.

On a small island in the middle of the Hudson bay, stood an abandoned warehouse. The structure was once used back in the 1950s.

"Well this is the place." Danny exclaimed as the two teens approached the old decrepit looking building. There was trash everywhere, and the walls were coated in graffiti.

"Danny, it looks like a dump. I mean, does anyone really use this place?" Naomi twisted her nose in disgust. "And it even smells like a dump."

"Oh come on, just check it out once will you? It's a great place, I promise." Danny made a cross over his chest.

The two walked inside to be greeted by loud music and smells of cheap perfume, smoke and... pizza? Naomi was sure she smelled fresh pizza somewhere. There were arcade games in one corner and a billiard table set in another.

Teens like the two of them were all over the place as Naomi glanced around excitedly. "Danny?" she asked after a few moments looking around.

"Wanna try a game? They have the new ghosts and goblins one in." Danny chimed in, obviously ignoring her.

"Danny?" Naomi tried again, a little louder this time.

"Ohh, and get this Naomi. We have a popcorn machine and our own fountain sodas, and a small cinema." The boy continued on.

"DANNY!" Naomi cupped her hands over her mouth to be heard this time, and a few other kids stared and giggled.

"Um, yes." Danny squeaked nervously.

"I don't see Destiny anywhere." Naomi now had her hands on her hips, one foot tapping impatiently.

"Um, did I say she was here?" Danny was sweating bullets now.

"Danny." Naomi pressed with a sigh. "She never was here, was she?"

"I...well... I had to say something to get you to come with me. If I'd said anything else you'd have just hit me, called me a loser and left."

Naomi rolled her eyes. "You are a loser, but now you're also a liar too."

"Oh come on." Danny pleaded. "Just give it a chance ok? Just for an hour tops. If you don't like it here we can leave."

Naomi sighed again. "Fine ok, if it'll get you to stop wining like a baby." She turned in the direction of some other kids as Danny grinned, until she turned back and delivered a solid blow to his shoulder. "And you're right. I would and did hit you."

Danny rubbed his sore shoulder and followed her, introducing her to a few other kids she didn't know from other schools further out. Despite her annoyance it was kinda fun. Just some kids ditching class and hanging out away from all the adults.

After a couple hours of playing games and having some good fun, one of the older teens, looked to be about 19, approached Danny and Naomi. He had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.

"Hey Danny." the teen called out. "Are you up for some family fun with the boys?"

Naomi looked to her classmate then to the older boy. "Guess that means I'm out and we were having such a great time."

The guy looked to her and grinned. "Perhaps you may want to join our 'little' family. Danny-boy here could give you more of the details at a later date."

"Could." Danny agreed before looking to the girl beside him. "What do you say?"

"Not right now, maybe later. I need to think about it first." she replied. "But I did have a good time." She picked up her bag, stringing it over her shoulder before waving 'goodbye', leaving Danny and the guy alone.

"She's cute." the older guy said when she was gone.

Danny winked. "I think I nailed it this time. I may really have a chance with her."

"Whatever dude, let's go."

The two then turned away, heading to the parking garage where they climbed into a white van that had a business logo on it.

Later in the city, during the 5pm news report, a 30 year old woman by the name of April O'Neil was reporting about a major silent crime spree. Citizens around the city had their personal possessions and even merchandise from business delivery trucks stolen without a single sound. During the announcement of the report, if one were to pay attention could have seen, a young teenage boy wearing black jeans and a Metallica T-shirt handing a stolen wallet from a man's back pocket off to another figure who appeared and vanished just as quickly.

With night quickly approaching, Naomi walked down the street, lost in thought of the day's events. She had such a good time this afternoon being able to play arcade games without having to pay anything for it. That meant she was able to keep the money her father gave her for a later date. She had saved herself a lot of money.

As she continued to walk, completely unaware of her surroundings, a white Sedan was approaching. It was like the car was following her, however, that wasn't the case. In this case, the car pulled up to her, window winding down.

"Naomi!" a voice barked through the opened window. All the man received was silence. He again repeated her name, this with more anger. "Naomi!"

The girl still wasn't paying attention as she continued to walk down the lonely street in a residential neighbourhood.

"NAOMI!" the voice thundered, finally getting her attention.

She turned to the voice, eyes bugging out of her head. "Dad!?" she squeaked, stopping in her tracks. The car then too stopped. Looking to her watch, she realized the time and noted her father found her while returning home from work.

"Naomi, did you skip classes again?" he demanded.

"No." she answered quickly.

He glared at her. "Naomi?" he warned.

"Well maybe a little. Dad you know yourself I do good in my classes. I have a B average."

"That's not the point. Now get your ass in here. I'm taking you home!"

Up the street, two young guys from the abandoned warehouse seemed as if they were sneaking around. They looked a little like they were up to something and Naomi recognized them immediately from the club. She knew she needed an excuse to bail, and a good one.

"S-sorry dad, I can't right now." She stuttered as from the corner of her eye, she saw the two guys duck into an alleyway, no doubt up to no good.

"Naomi, get in the car NOW!"

"Dad, I will explain everything later, right now I have to go." Without so much as another word, she turned and ran down the street to where the men disappeared to. She ignored her father's yelling, which attracted some attention by a few neighbours telling the man to shut up. She soon disappeared around the corner into the shadows where the alleyway began.

After leaving the movie theatre and crossing a street, a disguised mutant turtle walked, ignoring those around him, keeping his head down. He wore a beige like trench coat, sorta like those worn by old time detectives. To cover his head he wore an old style fedora. He then witnessed two punks run up to this older lady, grabbing her purse; one on either side of her. One grabbed the purse and then threw it to his partner.

Just then the turtle, stuck out his foot, tripping the two punks, causing the purse to fly. He caught it easily enough before tossing it behind him, back to the woman. He stepped over to the two teenage half wits and pulled open his coat long enough to reveal a concealed Japanese like weapon.

Instant fear was in their eyes, as they eyed the weapon. They were quick to scramble back to their feet and flee off towards a half wall, separating the street to a park. The two kept running until reaching an opened area. Believing they were no longer being chased, they stopped.

"What the hell was that!?" one gasped.

"I don't know," the other answered.

"That was a crime, you purse-snatching pukes..." Someone then jumped down from above, in the trees with a golf bag strapped to his back and wore a hockey mask. "And this is your penalty!"

Pulling out a hockey stick from the golf bag, he then swung it, hitting one of the punks in the face. "Two minutes for slashing." He paused then clipped the other guy in the foot, knocking him over. "Two minutes for hooking. And let's not forget my personal favorite-" He pulled both hands up over his head, grasping the stick with both hands,"two minutes for high sticking!"

Just as he brought the stick down on the two punks, he was pushed from behind, knocking him to the ground. With the inability to catch himself, he lost his footing and landed face first into the dirt between the punks, mask falling off.

"How about a five-minute game of misconduct for roughing?!" the intruder announced, which happened to be the same one who stopped the punks in the first place.

The man then stood up, facing his a salient. "Hey, bogey... who died and made you referee!?" He announced, placing his hands on his hips. "You did your job. Now get out of here and let me do mine, these jeu-vie lowlifes need to be taught a lesson."

While the former hockey mask wearing man bantered with the intruder, the thugs stood up to run away.

"Well kicking the shit out of them ain't going to help." His Brooklyn accent was thick, while he kept his hands in the pockets of the trench coat for protection.

The man then turned to see the punks running off. He turned back towards the disguised male. Reaching in behind him, he slowly pulled out two bats. "Well it looks like you're the one who needs to be taught a lesson, pal. Class is pain 101. You're instructor is Casey Jones."

Pulling out one hand, the male moved slightly. "Look, I don't want to fight you."

"Well tough rocks, pal!"

Just then he swung with one bat, which was dodged. Then the other bat was swinging and dodged again. As the first bat swung around a second time, it was caught in the male's hand.

"A Jose Canseco, bat?" He then looked to Casey. "Tell me... you didn't pay money for this."

"Oooooh" Casey cringed. His next swing with the other bat, caught the male in the side of the arm, knocking him to the ground, bat flying out of his hand, causing the disguised male's hat to fall off.

"Was a two for one sale, pal," he said with a shrug.

The male stood up, bat in hand, revealing to have a green bald head and a red eye mask over his face.

"Hey, what are you, some sort of punker?"

The guy looked up, realizing his hat was gone, "Huh?"

"I hate punkers," Casey groaned, looking away a second. He then looked and saw this guy wasn't exactly human looking either. "Especially balds ones with green makeup and wear masks over ugly faces."

The turtle suddenly yelled, "New Batter!", swinging the bat at Casey, who dodged.

"Strike one!" Casey yelled as he ducked. The bat swung again and Casey this time leaned forward, narrowly missing his mid section, taunting. "Whoa! Whiffer!"

The turtle then jumped over Casey to land in behind him before swinging the bat, once more, getting the human in the side of the neck, knocking him to the ground.

"Home Run!" He stomped over to the man, putting his leg on the man's chest. "RAPHAEL WINS! ONE. NOTHING!"

Casey grabbed Raphael's foot, causing him to swing around before he land on the ground.

"New game, round head," Casey commented. Standing, he pulled out a cricket bat from his bag. "Cricket?"

"Cricket!?" Raph gasped. "Nobody understands Cricket. You got to know what a crumpet is to understand cricket."

During the whole moment Raphael was speaking, being sarcastic the whole time, Casey was testing his wooden weapon. "I'll teach you..." He then swung upwards, getting Raphael in the face. The turtle went flying backwards, straight into a large garbage mesh basket.

Smirking Casey muttered to himself. "Hole in one."

Raphael immediately angered, trying to get out of the garbage basin. He struggled so much he and the garbage bin fell to the ground. He continued to struggle just as Casey cleaned up his weapons and ran off.

"So long freak! I've got work to do!"

"Freak!?"Raphael panted angrily trying to get free. "Freak!?" he repeated as he finally managed to run after the man. He was soon out of the park continuing to chase across a deserted street. Casey was a few hundred feet ahead just as a lone car, a taxi, came from out of nowhere, causing Raphael to somersault over the car hood to the other side, continuing to run. "Come back here! I'm not finished with you!"

The turtle continued to run until Casey ran into an alleyway, disappearing into the shadows. Raphael stopped a moment to catch his breath, looking both ways. "DAMN!" he cursed, realizing Casey was now gone.

"Hey get her!" a male voice shouted suddenly.

Raph narrowed his eyes. About two blocks from his location he could see a young teenage girl being chased by two mystery guys. The punks looked similar to the same ones who tried stealing a purse about 45 minutes ago and now they were chasing an innocent girl.

"Again?" he groaned and then evilly grinned. "Good! I can at least get my frustrations out and this time there won't be no interruptions!"

Picking up speed, he ran to the alleyway the three humans ran down. When he finally arrived, he saw the two punks cornering the girl against the back wall alley. Angered, Raph got an idea. Quietly, using his training, he sneaked over to the fire escape of an apartment building and climbed up. Getting into position, he stepped one leg up on the side railing. Using his other leg, he braced it before using it to leap up and over the railing, landing exactly between the two punks.

"You two again, huh?!"

Using both arms, he clipped them both on the back of their necks, bringing them down to the ground, startling the girl. Her eyes flew opened in shock. There was a street light in the alleyway, giving her a perfect view of the intruder and what she saw was a complete and utter shock. It was a giant talking green being in an oversized trench coat. His hat flew off his head as his arms came down on the punks. In amazement, she watched him pick both guys up like they weighed nothing and then slammed their heads together before dropping them.

Once down for the count, he stood back to his full height, picked up his hat, placing back over his green dome head. He looked to her and with an inward groan, he had a feeling what her response was going to be. He realized what she saw.

"OK, I know this is a shock seeing a giant talking turtle, and you female types scream and faint or whatnot." Raph began to explain to the shocked blond before him. He had just saved her from some thugs, and New York wasn't safe for someone like her at this time of night.

She didn't faint, she didn't scream or even squeak. No, what she did do was reach out and punch him square on the nose, sending Raph reeling back a moment. It wasn't really a nose but more like a beak.

"Son of a- hey wait a minute." She was already sprinting when he regained his senses and caught up to her again. "I said wait a minute will ya, geeze." Raph grabbed onto her arm. "This is the thanks I get for saving your scrawny butt?"

The blond bit him, hard. "Ahh! Come on, give a turtle a break here."

"I had things under control." She snapped. "I knew exactly what I was getting into."

"Yea, sure you did." Raph rolled his eyes.

"I led those morons here on purpose." She snapped

"Then you're the idiot." Raph snapped back.

"No, you are!"

The turtle and blond glared at one another a moment longer and both suddenly began laughing at the absurdity of the situation. A huge talking turtle and a small human teenager arguing down a dark alley about whether she could kick some thugs asses or not. It was absurd.

Raph opened his mouth to speak again, when suddenly a loud horn honked.

"NAOMI! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!"

Raph stiffened and immediately backed away into the shadows before the girl could even turn to him.

"Dad..." she whispered as she turned and found herself alone in the alleyway. For a quick moment, she turned her head from the left to the right but no giant turtle. Where was he? What was he? He was no human that was for sure, with green skin and three fingers on each hand. He had just showed up from out of nowhere and disappeared like magic. But how was that possible? Magic did not exist. Defeated, she lowered her head and walked towards the car which held her father, impatiently waiting for her.
