36. Chapter 35

Chapter 35: CatNap Vs KickinChicken II: Once And For All

CatNap, Hoppy and Bubba then ran to DandyDragon.

"What's going on?" Hoppy asked her,

"I think you guys should see it for yourselves." DandyDragon replied,

CatNap, Hoppy and Bubba then saw a brutally hurt DogDay in a medical stretcher and being taken away.

"DOGDAY!" CatNap shouted as he went over to one of the paramedics, "What happened to him?!"

"He got brutally hurt as well." The paramedic replied, "Just like Holden fellow. He'll be in the same hospital as him and it will take time for him to recover."

The medical stretcher carrying DogDay then left the building as CatNap was left there, speechless and empty.

"...DogDay…" CatNap said, softly,

"Shit…" Hoppy said in disgust, "Who the hell could do such a thing?"

"Someone must have been so angry that they have to unleash some sort of physical violence onto DogDay." Bubba said,

CatNap then realized something and clenched his teeth.

"I think I know who it is." He replied, "Watch my duel from the locker rooms. I'm gonna finish this charade, once and for all.

CatNap then walked away. Hoppy, Bubba and DandyDragon were concerned.

"Oh great, what's gotten into CatNap all of a sudden?" Hoppy wondered,

"I don't know…" DandyDragon replied,

"And does he really know who actually hurt Holden or DogDay?" Bubba wondered,

"Oh, what's this?" DandyDragon said as she turned to two friends,

Bobby and PickyPiggy then appeared behind them, holding hands and being closer to one another. Bobby was pretty much in a lovey-dovey, blushing and silent mood while PickyPiggy had kiss marks all over her face.

"Hey guys!" PickyPiggy said, "What did we miss?"

"Uhhh…" Bubba said, "It's… a long story."

KickinChicken meanwhile was in the restrooms, washing his hands a number of times.

"Come on, why isn't this coming off?!" He said, "Damn it! This isn't coming off, isn't it?"

Suddenly, an announcement went off.

"Will CatNap and KickinChicken please report to the Dueling Field? Because the Final Duel of The 8-Critter Duel Monsters Tournament is about to begin!"

KickinChicken sighed heavily.

"Damn it! I need to hide the stains!" He shouted as he looked at one of the restroom toilets, "...Fuck it."

KickinChicken then went in there to grab toilet paper and wrapped his feathers around it, hiding the bloodstains from his brutal offense on DogDay.

"...Ok, I think this is good enough." He said as he took a deep breath, "...Let's get this over with."

Later out into the Dueling Field, the Final Duel is about to begin.

"Critters of all ages, this is the Final Duel of The 8-Critter Duel Monsters Tournament!" RatedRat shouted through the commentary booth, "I sorta lost track of what number tournament we're on, but who cares! This Final Duel will be between CatNap and KickinChicken! The two duelists are already in their positions and any second now, the duel WILL begin!"

CatNap and KickinChicken both looked at each other with serious looks on their faces. They had their Duel Disk ready, but didn't activate them.

"...Keep me waiting." KickinChicken said to CatNap, "You worked your ass here, huh?"

"...You had a freebie and a lucky match at the Semi-Finals." CatNap said,

"Heh, of course I did."

CatNap then looked at KickinChicken's feathers wrapped in toilet paper.

"What happened to your feathers?" He asked him,

"Don't worry about it." KickinChicken replied, "Worry about me kicking your ass, once and for all, and proving everyone around here that I am serious!"

"We'll see about that. Shall we begin our rematch?"

"Heh, indeed we shall!"

CatNap and KickinChicken both activated their Duel Disks and shouted "Duel!" to start the Final Duel of the 8-Critter Duel Monsters Tournament.

It was Turn 1. CatNap was going first. He looked at his hand and noticed something was off.

"Ugh, a dud." He said,

KickinChicken looked at his hand as well.

"Hghh… It could have been better, but I'll take it." He said, "Below average hand I got…"

CatNap then sighed as he set a monster.

"I set a monster." He said, "...And I end my turn."

Bubba and the others meanwhile were watching from the locker rooms.

"Oh no, CatNap got a bad hand." Bobby said,

"That doesn't look good for him…" PickyPiggy said,

"He can turn it around, can he?" DandyDragon wondered,

"We'll have to wait and find out." Bubba said,

Hoppy was silent, focusing on the duel.

Back out into the Duel, KickinChicken draws to start Turn 2. He looked at the card he drew and groaned.

"What's going on?" He wondered, "My hand sucks! The same goes for CatNap, from the looks of it… However, I'm not gonna let it get to me. I WILL win and show everyone what I'm made of!"

KickinChicken then Normal Summoned a monster.

"When I control no monsters while you do, I can Normal Summon Blackwing - Sirocco The Dawn in Attack Position!" He said,

Blackwing - Sirocco The Dawn was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 2000 ATK Points.

"A Level 5 monster Normal Summoned through its own effect, huh?" CatNap said, "Not a bad start for you."

"Shut your mouth!" KickinChicken said, "Battle!"

The Battle Phase started.

"Sirocco, attack CatNap's face-down monster, now!" KickinChicken shouted,

Sirocco went after the set monster and attempted to attack it, but the set monster revealed a Condemned Maiden in Defense Position with 2000 DEF Points.

"Oh great, same amount of points as my Sirocco's ATK Points." KickinChicken said, "Doesn't matter. I don't take damage from that."

KickinChicken then sets a card.

"I set a card and pass the turn to you." He said,

"My turn." CatNap said as he draws to start Turn 3,

"Why do you even have a Condemned Maiden? Other than trying to use a Quick-Play Spell during my turn."

"...Can I go with my turn?"

"Heh, looks like I AM trying to make you lose your focus."

"...Asshole."

CatNap then looked at the card he drew.

"Alright, let's get this started!" He said as he Normal Summoned a monster, "I summon the Tuner monster, Chaos Mirage Dragon!"

Chaos Mirage Dragon was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 1600 ATK Points.

"Synchro Summon, huh?" KickinChicken asked,

"Yeah, thanks for reading my mind without my consent." CatNap replied,

"I don't give a damn, just Synchro Summon already!"

"Fine! I'll tune my Level 4 Chaos Mirage Dragon with my Level 4 Condemned Maiden!"

A Synchro Summon between Level 4 tuner Chaos Mirage Dragon and Level 4 non-tuner Condemned Maiden has started.

"Shine on and avenge those loyal to you!" CatNap chanted, "Synchro Summon!"

A shining bright light came down from the heavens.

"Brighten up the battle, Level 8, Avenging Knight Parshath!" CatNap shouted,

Avenging Knight Parshath was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 2600 ATK Points.

"Why do I get the feeling something bad is gonna happen after CatNap has Synchro Summoned?" Bubba wondered from the locker rooms,

"Shhh! Don't speak about it!" Hoppy shouted,

"About time you spoke up."

"Who knows what Kickin has to stop that Synchro Monster of CatNap's!"

KickinChicken laughed a bit.

"Nice Synchro Summon, but I'm negating it with my face-down card, the Counter Trap, Solemn Strike!" He shouted as Solemn Strike was activated,

"Told ya to keep your mouth shut!" Hoppy shouted from the locker rooms,

"Sorry!" Bubba said, "I didn't know it was gonna happen!"

"Guys, please don't argue!" Bobby shouted,

Hoppy sighed.

"Sorry…" She said, "This shit is on our minds…"

KickinChicken then gave up 1500 of his Life Points, leaving him with 2500 Life Points left.

"By paying 1500 of my Life Points…" He said, "I can negate and destroy a Special Summoned monster or a monster effect being activated."

"Of course you have a card to negate my Synchro Monster." CatNap said,

Avenging Knight Parshath was striked by the man from the Solemn Strike card, destroying it.

"Fantastic." CatNap said as he set a card in the Spell and Trap Zone, "I'll set a card and end my turn."

"Good, it's my turn!" KickinChicken said as he draws to start Turn 4.

Turn 4.

CatNap: 4000

KickinChicken: 2500

KickinChicken then looked at the card he drew and then looked at his toilet paper-covered hands as he noticed that they were slowly coming off with the blood stains on them.

"Shit!" He shouted, "Ah shit! Not yet!"

CatNap kept his cool as he noticed what was going on.

"Having an issue there?" He asked,

"Shut your mouth!" KickinChicken replied, "This has nothing to do with you!"

"...Then who else does this have to do with?"

"None of your business, CatNap!"

"Are you gonna go with your turn or are you gonna waste our time with what you're doing?"

"I SAID SHUT UP!"

KickinChicken then played a monster in Attack Position.

"You are gonna regret it!" He shouted, "I Normal Summon Blackwing - Sudri The Phantom Glimmer is Attack Position!"

Sudri The Phantom Glimmer was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 1400 ATK Points.

"And when Sudri is Normal Summoned, I can add a card that mentions Black-Winged Dragon from my Deck to my hand!" He said as he did so,

"Black-Winged Dragon, huh?" CatNap wondered, "So your deck did get an upgrade as well."

"No shit, Sherlock! You didn't see my duel against my now ex-girlfriend?!"

"I guess."

"The fuck you mean you guess?!"

"I'm being sarcastic, asshat."

"Shit for brains."

"Jerk."

"Stupid idiot!"

"Feather-Head!"

"...I haven't been called that nickname since the 1st grade, but I didn't really care."

"Ok, carry on with your turn."

"Thank you!"

KickinChicken then activated a Continuous Spell.

"I'll then activate the card I search off of Sudri, being Black Feather Whirlwind!" He shouted,

"What does that do?" CatNap wondered,

"I'll tell you when the time comes! For now, it's time to battle!"

"Oh crap."

The Battle Phase started.

"Sudri! Sirocco! Attack CatNap directly!" KickinChicken shouted,

Sudri attacked first, dealing 1400 points of damage to CatNap while Sirocco attacked second, dealing 2000 points of damage to CatNap as well, leaving CatNap with only 400 Life Points remaining.

"That's not good." Bubba said from the locker rooms, "CatNap has only 400 Life Points remaining."

"What the hell is he gonna do now?!" Hoppy shouted, "Both of them got bad hands yet KickinChicken has the better advantage!"

KickinChicken sighed in relief as he sets a card in his Spell and Trap Zone.

"I set a card and end my turn." He said, "Hurry up."

"Alright…" CatNap said as he draws to start Turn 5,

Turn 5.

CatNap: 400

KickinChicken: 2500

CatNap looked at the card he drew.

"This will do." He said,

CatNap then activated the card he drew.

"I activate the Spell Card, Branded Fusion!" He shouted,

"Shit!" KickinChicken shouted, "A Fusion Spell!"

CatNap then searches in his deck for two monsters to use as Fusion Materials and reveals them to KickinChicken.

"By using 2 monsters from my deck including Fallen Of Albaz as Fusion Materials, I can Fusion Summon a monster that mentions Fallen Of Albaz!" He said, "So I'm using Albaz and Black Dragon Collapserpent!"

Fallen Of Albaz and Black Dragon Collapserpent were used as Fusion Materials for the Fusion Summon through Branded Fusion.

"Brand yourself into a new dragon reborn from the bright red flames!" CatNap chanted, "Fusion Summon, Level 8, Alba-Lenatus The Abyss Dragon!"

Red flames emerge to create a dragon as Alba-Lenatus The Abyss Dragon was Fusion Summoned in Attack Position with 2500 ATK Points.

"Heh, another Fusion monster related to Albaz." KickinChicken said, "I like where this is going."

"You haven't heard of Alba-Lenatus's effect yet." CatNap said, "He can attack monsters a number of times each Battle Phase, up to the number of material used for it."

"Wait what?"

"I used 2 materials for Alba-Lenatus's Fusion Summon, so he can attack up to two of your monsters this turn!"

"Oh shit."

"You can say your prayers, because it's time to battle!"

The Battle Phase started again.

"Now, my Alba-Lentaus will attack Sirocco!" He shouted, "Abyssal Flames!"

Alba-Lentaus shot out flames at Sirocco. KickinChicken groaned as he took 500 points of damage from that attack.

"Attack again." He said to CatNap, "I dare ya!"

"Ask and you shall receive!" CatNap said, "Alba-Lentaus, attack Sudri!"

As Alba-Lentaus fired his flames at Sudri, KickinChicken smirked.

"Gotcha!" He shouted, "I flip up my Counter Trap, Negate Attack!"

Negate Attack was activated to negate Alba-Lentaus's attack.

"Not only do I negate your dragon's attack, but I also end the Battle Phase." KickinChicken said,

"Of course you would." CatNap said as he sets another card, "I'll set another card from my hand before ending my turn."

"Good, because it's my turn!"

As soon as KickinChicken drew a card to start Turn 6, the toilet paper wrapped around the hand used to draw cards started to come off of him, revealing the blood stains from his physical assault on DogDay. Everyone in the locker rooms gasped.

"Oh my God…" Bobby said in horror,

"Is CatNap right?" Bubba said, shocked,

"KickinChicken… attacked… DogDay…" DandyDragon said, "...That should count as a disqualification, but we didn't see it!"

"You guys really need more security." PickyPiggy said,

"Don't ask me that! Ask RatedRat!"

"Guys! Shhh! They're about to speak!" Hoppy shouted,

Turn 6.

CatNap: 400

KickinChicken: 2000

"I knew it." CatNap said,

"Kn-Knew what?" KickinChicken said, shaking,

"You attacked DogDay, didn't you? You were the one that beat him to a bloody pulp!"

"N-No! It wasn't me! I swear!"

"Well who attacked Holden?!"

"Some masked critter in red and black! I don't think it wasn't Mr. Wolfgang this time because you fuckers freed him from some mind controlling bullcrap!"

"We know that, but did DogDay get attacked by another masked critter in red black? I don't think so! I'm seeing the culprit clear as day!"

KickinChicken then puts his feathered hands on his head in frustration, breathing heavily.

"Shut the fuck up…" He said as he looked at CatNap with anger and then started to shout, "YOU'RE PISSING ME THE FUCK OFF!"

"HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING?!" CatNap shouted with tears in his eyes, "HE DIDN'T DO A DAMN THING TO YOU OR TO ALL OF US!"

"HE'S A SCUMBAG THAT PISSED ME OFF IN MY BUSINESS!"

"THE REAL SCUMBAG IS YOU! YOU'RE AN EGOTISTICAL SCUMBAG WITH NO COMMON SENSE!"

KickinChicken then stops for a moment before laughing with tears in his eyes.

"Fine!" He shouted, "I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S THE REAL SCUMBAG YOU ASSHAT!"

"There it is…" CatNap said as he wiped his eyes before focusing back to the duel,

KickinChicken then Special Summons Bora.

"When I control a Blackwing monster other than him, I can Special Summon Bora The Spear in Attack Position!" He shouted,

Bora The Spear was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 1700 ATK Points.

"And when a monster with 2000 or more ATK Points is on the field, I can Special Summon the Tuner Monster Shamga The Waning Moon!" KickinChicken continued,

Shamga The Waning Moon was Special Summoned in Defense Position with 500 DEF Points.

"Now I'm gonna tune my Level 2 Shamga with my Level 4 Sudri!" KickinChicken shouted as a Synchro Summon between Level 2 tuner Shamga The Waning Moon and Level 4 non-tuner Sudri The Phantom Glimmer has started, "You're gonna regret it, CatNap, you're gonna SERIOUSLY regret making me mad!"

KickinChicken then Synchro Summoned Boreastorm.

"Now, I Synchro Summon the Level 6 tuner monster, Blackwing - Boreastorm The Wicked Wind!" KickinChicken shouted as Boreastorm was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 2400 ATK Points, "And now I'll use Boreastorm's effect to send a Blackwing monster from my Deck to the Graveyard to make his Level the same as the sent monster! I'm gonna send Zephyros The Elite to the Graveyard to make Boreastorm's Level 4!"

Zephyros The Elite was sent to the Graveyard as Boreastorm's Level is now 4.

"And now I activate Zephyros's effect from my Graveyard!" KickinChicken said, "By returning a card from my field to the hand, I can Special Summon Zephyros and take 400 damage! So I'll return Bora The Spear back to the hand to Special Summon Zephyros in Attack Position!"

Bora The Spear was returned to the hand as Zephyros The Elite was Special Summoned from the Graveyard in Attack Position with 1600 ATK Points while KickinChicken took 400 points of damage, leaving with 1600 Life Points left.

"And now I'll Special Summon Bora The Spear again in Attack Position!" KickinChicken said as he did so, "But I'm not done yet, I'm tuning my Level 4 Boreastorm with my Level 4 Zephyros!"

Another Synchro Summon has started, but this time with Level 4 tuner Boreastorm The Wicked Wind and Level 4 non-tuner Zephyros The Elite.

"This dragon will share my rage and unleash a shattering storm around me!" KickinChicken chanted, "I Synchro Summon, Level 8, Blackfeather Darkrage Dragon!"

Blackfeather Darkrage Dragon was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 2800 ATK Points.

"But there's more!" KickinChicken shouted, "I activate Black Feather Whirlwind from my field!"

"Oh there's the effect!" CatNap said,

"Once per turn, when I Special Summon a Dark Synchro Monster from the Extra Deck, I can target 1 of my Blackwing monsters banished or in my Graveyard with less ATK Points than the Dark Synchro Monster and Special Summon it! So I'm gonna bring back Boreastorm The Wicked Wind!"

Boreastorm The Wicked Wind was Special Summoned back from the Graveyard in Attack Position.

"Alright, CatNap, it's time for you to REALLY regret it!" KickinChicken shouted, "I tune my Level 6 Boreastorm The Wicked Wind with my Level 4 Bora The Spear!"

"Here it comes!" Hoppy shouted from the locker rooms, "He's gonna Synchro Summon for the last time!"

"And it's gonna be a big one!" PickyPiggy shouted,

Another Synchro Summon has started, but this time with Level 6 tuner Boreastorm and Level 4 non-tuner Bora The Spear.

"Now, bow down to this new winged beast and its full armored power!" KickinChicken chanted, "Prepare for power from the top of the game, Synchro Summon!"

A new Blackwing monster in armor appeared.

"SEND THEM TO THE ABYSS, LEVEL 10, BLACKWING FULL ARMOR MASTER!" KickinChicken shouted,

Blackwing Full Armor Master was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 3000 ATK Points. Everyone was speechless as KickinChicken started cackling again.

"Try to stop THIS guy!" He shouted, "He's unaffected by other cards' effects!"

"What?!" CatNap shouted,

"Oh yes! You're totally screwed! With this next attack, I will win and show you all that I'm the best!"

"...Bring it on."

KickinChicken clenched his teeth.

"You're my next victim." He said with a grudge,

CatNap was surprised with what he said.

"He lost it." He said, "I really did lost him."

KickinChicken then clenched his feathers together to form fists.

"I'm gonna enjoy beating the shit out of you after this duel!" He shouted, "So here it comes, the final Battle Phase!"

The Battle Phase started for the final time.

"Blackfeather Darkrage Dragon will first attack your Alba-Lentaus!" KickinChicken shouted, "DARKRAGE WHIRLWIND!"

A storm of black feathers came from Blackfeather Darkrage Dragon as they went after Alba-Lentaus. CatNap smiled.

"You're gonna regret attacking me with your Blackfeather Darkrage Dragon." He said, "I activate my Trap Card, Magic Cylinder!"

Magic Cylinder was activated. Everyone was surprised, including KickinChicken.

"WHAT?!" He shouted, "YOU TRICKED ME!"

"I didn't trick you!" CatNap shouted, "I set you up for your own failure after this duel! You're gonna own up to your mistakes whether you like it or not!"

Two Magic Cylinders came out of the Trap Card.

"Karma bites back, KickinChicken!" CatNap shouted, "So this is for your own good!"

The attack blasted at one of the cylinders before launching out the other and directly back at KickinChicken.

"DAMN YOU CATNAP!" He shouted as he was then blasted by his own attack, "WAHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

KickinChicken lost the rest of his remaining life points from Magic Cylinder's effect, leaving him with only 0 Life Points left. CatNap won the duel as everyone in the audience cheered for him. He looked around and was confused.

"...I can't believe all of this has happened." He said as he looked at an injured KickinChicken and gulped, "And now I gotta deliver him the news, huh?"
