Welp. Here we go. The first (chronological) installment of a massive passion project has been in the works for over six years.

For those of you who read the last story, I wrote "The Hawk and the Dove" this is set in continuity with it, taking place about seven years before the start of that story.

So you're probably wondering, if this story takes place first, why did I start with Hawk and Dove? Well, it's simple really—proof of concept and a test. I wanted to see if I could finish a fanfic before setting out to do the "main" story. The story of The Hawk and Dove was simply the best standalone concept I had in my head at the time.

But whether you're reading this because you liked my first story and you want to know how this strange shared universe of Hasbro properties and the Riordanverse began, or you're just jumping on, welcome aboard. This is the first entry in my crazy shared universe concept, Transformers Amalgamation, a universe combining various Hasbro Brands, and the beloved books of the Riordanverse by Rick Riordan.

Crazy idea? You bet it is.

But don't worry, if you're only here because you want to read a fun Transformers and Percy Jackson crossover fanfic, you only need to be familiar with those two franchises. There will be some mentions of the other ones here and there, but in-depth knowledge of them isn't required to enjoy this story.

So welcome, friends. Welcome to a universe of Transforming Robots, Real American Heroes, Mighty Morphin Superheroes, Gods and Monsters, and more.

This is the world of Transformers Amalgamation!

I don't own Transformers or the Riordanverse; they belong to their owners.

Chapter 1: The Bot Who Fell to Earth.

The blonde seven-year-old girl's stomach grumbled as she sat in the alley with her friend, a twelve-year-old girl in a leather jacket and feral-looking black hair.

The girl looked up at her friend. "Thalia, when is Luke coming back?" she asked, staring her sad gray eyes up at her.

Thalia sighed. "I don't know Annabeth..." she said, "just like I didn't know the last three times you asked me.". A hint of a growl exited her voice as she finished talking.

Annabeth didn't seem to pick up on her friend's mood. "But I'm hungry!" she pleaded.

Thalia resisted the urge to shout that she was hungry too, and talking about it made it worse. "I know, Annabeth, but just be patient," she muttered, as if it were easy for ADHD kids like them to be patient.

Annabeth started crying. Thalia hugged her small friend as gently as she could.

Thalia hated to admit it, but she was scared.

She'd been living on the streets for almost three years now. Her friend Luke had been living like this for even longer. Both of them had run away from home to escape their own issues with their families. They'd been drifting from city to city, state to state, aimless for years.

Last week, they ran into another runaway child, Annabeth, who'd been fleeing her own problems at home dressed in nothing but some clothes she'd stolen from her father.

The three kids all had one thing in common: they were all demigods, children of the Greek gods who were still alive and well in the modern day. Thalia's father was Zeus, Luke's was Hermes, and Annabeth's was Athena.

At last, their friend, a blond fourteen-year-old with blue eyes, returned with a bag of fast food. "Honey, I'm home!" he laughed.

Annabeth's eyes lit up. "Luke!" she shouted. She rushed over and gave him a big hug.

"Oof! Easy there, Annabeth," Luke said gently.

"So, what's for lunch?" Thalia asked.

"Twenty dollars worth of fast food," Luke said, handing the bag over.

"Just twenty dollars?" Thalia sighed.

"All I could scrounge up from odd jobs..." Luke murmured.

"Okay..." Thalia said. She had learned by now that beggars couldn't be choosers when you were homeless.

Annabeth began to happily tear into the french fries Luke had given her. Thalia began to eat her burger when she noticed Luke wasn't eating anything.

"Luke?" she asked, raising her eyebrow.

"...Just enjoy the food." Luke sighed.

"Luke..." Thalia said sternly.

"I wasn't able to get enough for all of us, okay?" Luke said in a resigned tone. "Just enjoy it. I'll find more later."

Thalia sighed—typical Luke. Caring more about his friends than himself.

After their sorry excuse for lunch, the three kids left the Pennsylvania city they were in and started walking down a road in silence. It was a bright and sunny day, but that didn't help the foul mood that the kids were in. The hot sun beat down on them, making them feel even more tired.

When the trio were passing by a massive field near a forest, Thalia finally spoke up, "Luke...Where are we going?"

"Does it matter?" Luke asked, not even looking back.

"I just..." Thalia looked around. Annabeth was currently distracted, looking up at the sky. Hopefully, she wouldn't hear this next part. "I've been thinking. Maybe it's time we start considering the future."

"What are you talking about?" Luke asked.

"Luke I... I'm tired, okay?" Thalia admitted, "We've been living like this for three years and..."

Luke turned to face Thalia and scowled. "And what?" he asked.

"Maybe we need to find a place to settle-"

"We're doing fine, Thalia!" Luke insisted angrily.

"Fine?" Thalia asked, "You had to give up your lunch for both me and Annabeth!"

"Look, I'm in a slump, okay?" Luke muttered, "Tomorrow's gonna be better. I'm gonna get us more money, and then we can all eat at a proper restaurant or something!"

"I just don't want Anna-"

"Whoa... Look," Annabeth said, pointing up at the sky.

Thalia and Luke looked up. In the sky, there were two burning balls of fire.

"Wonder what's up with those?" Luke muttered.

Thalia took a closer look at one of the balls. Her eyes widened in horror.

"Guys..." she said, "that ball is coming here!"

No sooner had the words left her mouth when the sound of the roar of the flames reached the kids ears.

Annabeth stood there, frozen in fear.

"Hit the dirt!" Luke shouted. He grabbed Thalia and Annabeth and pushed them down to the ground. They heard the slamming of an impact as dust, dirt, and grass flew around them.

Luke coughed as he stood up. "Everyone okay?" he asked.

"I'm fine..." Thalia murmured.

"What was that?" Annabeth asked.

Thalia got up and looked around. Whatever that ball was, it had landed in the field, leaving a massive crater. The once beautiful grass had been torn up, and dirt mounds littered the area.

Thalia started walking toward the crater, and her two friends followed suit.

When they got to the edge, Thalia gasped.

There in the middle of the crater was a giant red robot, with a yellow spoiler on his back and flame decals dotted all over him. He was covered in scorch marks, and he was lying motionless on his back.

"What... what is that thing?" Luke asked.

"Looks like a robot," Thalia noted.

"You think it's one of Hephastus's inventions?" Annabeth asked.

Luke shrugged. "I never heard of Hephaestus building anything like-"

Just then, the three kids heard a soft mechanical moan.

The three kids froze. The robot was starting to move, or rather, it tried to move. He struggled, but couldn't get himself up.

"It's alive!" Thalia yelled, "We have to help it!". She started rushing down into the crater.

"Thalia wait!" Luke cried, "We don't know what that thing is!"

Thalia ignored her friend and got closer. The robot turned his head slowly; it looked at Thalia with its glowing blue eyes.

"It's okay..." Thalia said.

The robot stared in silent pain at Thalia. It looked confused and unsure of what to do.

"Do you need help? Can you understand me?"

The robot nodded.

"Can you speak?"

The robot nodded again.

"What's your name?"

The robot hesitated for a moment. Then, with a wheezing sound, he gave his answer.

"Hot Rod..."
