Chapter 16: Burned

Freddy and the gang arrived to the pizzeria. By now, Bonnie and Foxy knew that Sparky was the unidentifiable individual partaking in this.

"I cannot believe Sparky is the one who played a key part in making sure we got the corrupt health inspector to make us fail," said Bonnie. "After all of what we did for him," added Foxy, "Why does it hurt?" "Because you were particularly close with him," replied Chica, "Despite the potential Sparky showed to be a permanent edition, you and him were legitimate best friends. But once his ego started to come out, it was all downhill from there." "Who is Sparky again?" asked Fredbear. "That one dog who was in our band briefly between 2014 and 2015," said Freddy, "Despite his firing, he would visit once in 2017 and once in...2018, which explains those pictures taken at the time."

10 years ago, when Freddy became the leader of the band shortly after his father and his father's friends retired (with the exception of Bonnie), he looked for others to fill in his father's friends spots. After the events of how his friends made their way up, they had thoughts on adding in a 5th band member. How Sparky got hired was pretty easy, he got promoted like Chica. But as the story goes, his ego got the better of him and was eventually fired sometime in 2015. Despite visits in 2017 and 2018, it seemed like something more sinister had been going on the whole time.

Nevertheless though, Freddy put the files in the security office, before writing on a piece of paper on who was bringing this out and why they were doing so. After that, the gang left the building and Freddy locked the doors. This would unknowingly be their last time ever seeing the pizzeria in the state it had been in.

"What are we gonna do to celebrate?" asked Bonnie. "I think I'll just go home for the night," said Freddy, "If you guys wanna party, you can. As for me, the real partying starts when the pizzeria opens back up." "That's valid," said Fredbear, "Perhaps some things aren't to be celebrated too early."

Freddy got dropped off at his home. He almost immediately went to bed. "Home sweet home," he said, switching from his top hat to his sleeping cap. At that point, Freddy just wanted to rest up. It had been a very tiring week for him and he knew it was best to rest up for his own mental sake.

Later in the night, some familiar faces arrived to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. "We're here," said Friedlander, "Now what was it we were supposed to do?" "We gotta wait for Dan," said Monty, "He'll supply us REAL good!" "Just you watch and learn mayor, and maybe watch our backs in case anyone gets curious," added Sparky. Mayor Friedlander had a bad feeling about this.

Just then, a white rental truck pulled up. The window went down, revealing it to be the guy who was formerly health inspector. "There you are Dan," said Sparky, "How much fuel we working work?" "Just enough to set this place a blaze," replied Dan.

Monty opened up the back, to reveal a massive amount of fuel. Both he and Sparky took the fuel cans to the front entrance of the pizzeria. However, they couldn't break the front doors open. The glass was seemingly built strong and possibly even bullet proof. Just as Monty expected, the doors were locked.

"I had a feeling these doors would be impossible to open," said Monty, "But that's fine, we'll just have to use the vent to pour these down." "Round 2," said Sparky as he took out his vent screwdriver and immediately went to the vent nearby them.

After unscrewing the vent, he, Monty, and Dan put as much fuel in as they possibly could. Friedlander just watched, while also being on the lookout for anyone. "Fazbear is about to feel the burn," joked Monty. Sparky and Dan laughed, while Friedlander laughed nervously. "Been waiting to do this to the pizzeria for years," said Sparky, "My revenge is about to be completed!"

In the pizzeria, fuel poured into the dining area, as if a pipe burst. It went all across the floor and slowly made it's way down the east and west halls, leading to the security office. There the files all sat, with Freddy's paper on top of them.

Monty lit up a match. "On the count of three, we run to the front," he said, "One, two, three!" He then threw the match down the vent, as he, Dan, Sparky, and Friedlander ran to the front.

The match fell down the vent still lit. It looked like it would go out, until it very lightly hit the fuel trail. Almost immediately, the fire spread to the entirety of the buildings floor. It was only a matter of seconds before the flames started to reach other parts of the building that were flammable.

The 4 saw the place light up. Friedlander gasped in shock, not expecting the place to light up so quickly. Both Dan and Sparky laughed with delight. "Ha ha! Give it to me!" said Sparky, putting his hand up in the air for a high five. He and Dan did so. As for Monty, he was quiet as he stared intensely at the ever growing fire.

The fire was spreading to the rest of the building. From the walls, to what little windows there were, to even parts of the ceiling. Eventually, what windows there were broke and fire exploded out from them. "Our job here is done," said Monty, "Pack it up boys." They put the fuel cans back in the truck.

The security office was now on fire, as it slowly crawled to the files and Freddy's paper. It crawled at such a painfully slow rate, that it almost looked like it would take an eternity to get there. Unfortunately though, that wouldn't be the case. The intense heat that engulfed the entire office made the flames get closer and closer to the papers. Then, they all caught fire. In just a matter of seconds, all the papers and evidence that Freddy and his friends had collected for days, were nothing but ash.

Dan drove away with the truck and the mayor drove away with Monty and Sparky in his personal vehicle. "My revenge is finally complete!" said Sparky, "Now we can just sit back in relax now." "Not yet, we're still under threat," said Monty, "There's still one more thing we need to do, but I'll discuss that later."

While the crew drove off, the fire only continued. Eventually, someone had to have seen or smelt the fire, because within a matter of minutes, fire truck sirens could be heard in the distance.

The next morning, Freddy woke up and cooked himself some breakfast. The morning was incredibly foggy, you couldn't see a whole lot from a distance. Unknown to Freddy, he was about to get some news that would change Fazbear Entertainment forever. It would go down as quite possibly the most infamous day in Freddy Fazbear Pizza and Fazbear Entertainment history.

Freddy's phone began ringing. He looked at it, it showed the town's fire department number. "Huh?" he said in surprise. Regardless though, he knew it'd be best to answer it. "Hello?" he asked, "Yeah, this is Freddy Fazbear himself...Yeah?...What are you talking about?...WHAT?!...PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A JOKE!...LOOK, I GOTTA GO!"

Freddy immediately messaged his friends about what he just heard, before getting out of his house. It was only a matter of time until they all got to see his message on what he just got word on. Even Fredbear was given the message, who was easily the quickest to respond and leave the house. The gang had no idea just how badly damaged the pizzeria was.

After practically speeding down the streets, despite the strong fog, Freddy arrived to the scene of his pizzeria. The whole place was badly burned and despite the fire being taken out several hours ago, it still smelt fresh. The look on Freddy's face said it all. Sadness, hurt, and anger. If the outside was bad, he couldn't begin to fathom what the inside would look like.

When Freddy walked inside, a very large portion of the pizzeria was burned up. From the main stage, to the restrooms, to the kitchen, to even the security office. Anything paper or paper like was completely reduced to ash. Anything else was either badly melted or badly burned to the point of disrepair.

When Freddy was done seeing what became of the pizzeria, he sat down on the stage, as it was the only thing that wasn't burned too bad. He began to look back on his life. From when his father took him to work for the first time as a kid, to when he became the band leader, to when his friends got hired. The pizzeria had been standing before he and Fredbear were in charge of it, as it had been around since the early 1950s. Given the historical significance of the place and now what it's been reduced to, Freddy put his hands over his face, as he felt like crying.

"I don't believe it," said a voice, as Freddy put his head up, to see his father, "I just don't believe it. This building was here long before I took charge of it." "I know," said Freddy, "The building had some interesting historical significance. It was first owned by some guy named Bob who would occasionally bring bands to play at his pizza place. But due to financial struggles, he'd sell it off to you." "Indeed he did, and it was an honor to take over and give the place some tlc in 1978," said Fredbear, "At first, it was me and my friend who owned it and did shows ourselves, while having other staff present. However, I think you know what happened with him in just 5 years." Freddy nodded in response.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of chips crunching. Both Freddy and Fredbear looked up to see Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. Bonnie was specifically the one eating chips. "Reminiscing on old times, huh?" he asked. "How long have you guys been standing there?" Freddy asked, not really acknowledging the previous question. "Only two minutes," said Chica. "We'll make whoever did this pay!" added Foxy, "Never underestimate the cunning of a pirate! Or a fox for that matter!"

Freddy then remembered something, something particular from one of the last files. It was the level 2 problem. "Oh my god!" said Freddy, everyone looked at him, "I think I know who started the fire!" "Billy Joel would love to hear this," said Bonnie. "You remember the level problems, right?" asked Freddy, everyone nodded, "I think because of us taking the files, Monty felt the need to burn them and the pizzeria with it! On top of that, I locked the doors on the way out like usual, inadvertently giving him a reason to set it on fire!" "But that doesn't explain how he knew we were hiding the files here," said Chica, "I'm under the assumption there was a hidden microphone somewhere within those files or folders that we couldn't see." "It's possible, but I guess we'll just never know for sure," said Fredbear.

"But ye know what we know for sure?" asked Foxy, "We know we be gettin that damned gator for what he did! A plan will be in the works!" "Perhaps, we can find his headquarters," said Freddy, "Bonnie, how is Buster doing? Is he fine now?"

Bonnie then remembered what Buster told him the night prior. "I just remembered!" he said, which really got the attention of his friends. Bonnie explained everything he possibly could remember. From his brother being arrested, to hearing that Monty was in town.

"I mean, better late than never I suppose," said Fredbear, "But it could've helped had we known this sooner." "Even if we did, it wouldn't have mattered," said Chica, "We still wouldn't have known if Monty was hearing over, watching over, or whatever." "What's done is done," said Freddy, "But if Monty thinks we are done, he better think again."

What Freddy didn't realize was that Monty already had plans in store for later. While he was familiar with the level problems, something he didn't touch on was the arresting part after the destruction of evidence. Freddy had to of forgotten about it, because there was no mention of it at all. This would prove to be an honest mistake with equally as much consequences.
