Now this is probably one of the weirdest episodes in Courage ever. Enjoy.
It was nighttime at the farm, Courage found it hard to get to sleep that night. He open his eyes, blinking away sleep, and saw Eustace scratching and mumbling 'scratching' in his sleep. Courage lift up the covers to see Eustace scratching his foot with another foot. Courage didn't think much of it and decided to go back to sleep. He slept at last only to wake again with a start to hear Eustace scream 'wool socks'
He turned around, only to get kick by Eustace. He it the ceiling, before landing on the bed, waking Eustace up in the progress.
"Stupid dog. What are you doing itching my foot?" Eustace yelled.
"What? It wasn't me! Honest!" Courage protested.
"Like, is everything alright?" Shaggy asked yawning, as he and Scooby entered the room.
"Reah, we could hear Rourage hitting the ceiling," Scooby added, still groggy from his sleep.
Great, I woke my friends up! Courage thought, guilty
"My foot! My foot!" Eustace answered as he pointed at his foot.
"What's wrong with your foot?" Muriel asked, through a yawn as she woke up from Eustace yelling.
Curious, Shaggy and Scooby walked over to him and checked his foot, and to their surprise, the duo saw that his foot was now a hideous, purple and it had green spores growing on it. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage groaned in disgust.
"Looks like you got a fungus, don't worry Eustace. I know some family remedies," Muriel told her husband with a smile, as she inspected the fungus.
Eustace scream the next morning in the living room, Eustace's scream made Shaggy, Scooby and Courage wince and realize exactly what the remedy was.
Just rubbing the cactus against his foot, needless to say, it was ineffective and painful. And after ten minutes of just continuous screaming from Eustace, his eyes were wide as Muriel rubbed the cactus on his foot, she finally stopped, as her husband let out moans of pain. Looking at his foot, it was covered entirely in spines from the cactus.
In the kitchen, Muriel came with a bucket filled with snapping lobsters, she placed the bucket in front of Eustace.
"Like, how is that a family remedy?" Shaggy asked, with a furrowed brow.
"I honestly have no idea," Courage answered, really confused.
Eustace looked unsure but did so anyway, and as expected, as soon as he put his foot into the bucket, the lobsters snapped onto his foot, causing Eustace to scream in pain and began flailing his foot around to try and get his foot out of the bucket and the lobsters that latched onto off on the other side of the room. There was a single remaining lobster still clinging to his bit toe.
In the living room, Muriel, Shaggy and Scooby were next to Eustace as he continued, to scratch his fungus. Courage came into the room with a giant hair clip on his nose and with a bucket full of some kind of horrendous vile that smelled horrible and sour.
Muriel, Shaggy and Scooby hold their noses, to block off the awful odor. Eustace, hesitate for a moment before plunging his foot into the vile, and as soon as he made contact with the vile, he screeched with pain. Eustace quickly removed his foot and the family saw that it all red and burnt.
"Rey look, the fungus is gone," Scooby said.
But a second later it reappeared again.
"Ro. Rever mind," Scooby said, as he figured he spoke too soon.
"Oh, dear," Muriel said with pity, as she saw Eustace's burnt foot regain the fungus. "There's just one thing left to do."
"Ain't going to no doctor," Eustace stubbornly replied while crossing his arms. Muriel, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were in the kitchen again trying to convince Eustace to go to the doctor.
"You really should Eustace," Muriel advised him.
"Reah," Scooby stated, matter of factly.
"I ain't going," Eustace argued.
"It's as big as a cow, you have to go," Muriel protested, as she pointed at the fungus as it indeed gotten a lot bigger.
"And like, it's getting bigger," Shaggy added.
"Make me," Eustace stubbornly replied as he looked away.
"Ah, suit yourself, but I think it's starting to fester," Muriel said finally relenting.
"ALL I NEED IS A NAP!" Eustace shouted as he stomped his foot on the floor, and since the foot he stomped with on the floor was the one with the fungus, it made disgusting squelch sound.
"EW!/REW!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage exclaimed in unison.
Eustace then got up and exited the kitchen.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage had finished eating their breakfast and were now washing the dishes, Muriel was at the table having a cup of tea and reading a magazine. After a few minutes, they finished washing the dishes and moved to the table, sitting down, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were playing a card game.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage heard Eustace screamed from the living room before it got drowned out by something, sending alarming rushing through them.
"Eustace?" Muriel asked, with concern.
"Wait, we'll check it out," Courage replied, stopping Muriel from getting up. "I must be nuts."
"Like, well check on Uncle Eustace, come on Scoob," Shaggy told his aunt, before turning to his dog.
"Thank, you boys," Muriel said, as she took a sip of her tea and resumed reading her magazine.
Standing up, the trio exited the kitchen and walked towards the living room, wondering what could have caused Eustace to scream in terror. But as soon as the three entered the living room, they were given their answer. There was giant purple foot with green spores with faces on each of the toes.
"Zoinks!" Shaggy screamed, as Scooby jumped into his arms.
Courage screamed, as all of his teeth came popping out of his mouth, and sharp pain stabbed at his gums, as he moaned and tears rolling down his face from losing all of his teeth.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage approached the foot to what they could do about it, only to get shocked as the foot turned and spoke to the three.
"I'm the big toe, see? Yeah, see? And what I saw goes, see? Got me?" the big toe said in a weird mafia voice.
"Yeah, got it boss," the three middle toes said, in unison.
"See what? See what?" the pinky toe asked, confused.
"See this!" the big toe yelled, before smacking the toe next him causing a domino effect which led to the pinky toe getting hit by the other toes.
"OOH! OOH! OW!" the middle toes yelled out in pain.
The voice of Muriel screaming behind the trio startled and scared them a bit. "WHERE'S MY EUSTACE!?" she demanded. "What have you done with my Eustace!?"
"Shut up, fat woman. You won't be needing your husband anymore, see? So, listen up," the big toe threatened.
"Yeah, listen up," the middle toes repeated.
"Yeah, listen up," the pinky toe repeated after them.
"We're going to pull a heist see. Yeah, see. It's Sunday and the banks are closed. So, we knock over a bank," the big toe announced.
"Ruh-oh!" Scooby exclaimed, wide-eyed with fright, realizing what that foot was.
"Like, gangsters!" Shaggy gasped.
"Muriel, get away!" Courage cried, unfortunately, Muriel did not hear them and said something she should not have said.
"You can't do that, it's against the law," Muriel told the foot. In response, the foot stood on its toe bone, (if it had any), and then jumped on top of Muriel.
Muriel yelled out in pain, seeing this, the trio immediately rushed to them to try and get the foot of Muriel somehow off. But the foot saw them immediately and gave his ultimatum.
"Okay dogs and kid. It's like this," the big toe said.
"Like, what do you want?" Shaggy asked, feeling his heart lurched.
"You drive us to the bank or the fat lady gets it, see," the toe threatened.
"Yeah, or the fat lady gets it," the middle toes repeated.
"Yeah, the fat lady gets it," the pinky repeated as well.
"Fine," Shaggy said, sighing having no choice, but to obey the toe's orders. "Come on guys."
"I knew I should have learned how to drive a stick," Courage said in frustration.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were driving down the road to the bank fast, all the while, thinking of how not only to get rid of this foot and bring back Eustace, but to save Muriel. They're barely able to stay calm and not lose it, soon, the bank of nowhere came into view. A few minutes later and they were in front of the bank, turning off the truck, the Big Toe, stuck its head through the back window to instruct the worried trio.
"Okay, you three. Break into the bank and bring us all the dough, see. Now, see?" he demanded.
"Like, alright. We're going," Shaggy told him as he, Scooby and Courage exited the vehicle.
"Get going, or we'll put the squeeze on the fat lady, see?" he threatned before squeezing Muriel a bit.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage heard Muriel giving out a shriek of pain.
"Rokay, Rourage. Ret's get this over with," Scooby told the small pink dog.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were wearing three black sweaters and beanie hats as well, while Shaggy was wearing black pants. The trio walked up the bank, Courage, with a flashlight in hand, tried to force the bank doors opened and bounced off them after a few attempts. Looking around, Scooby tried to find another pathway that could take him and his friends inside the bank, seeing an ATM next to them, He brought it to Shaggy and Courage's attention.
"Ruys, think we could use this ATM to get inside?" Scooby asked them.
"Good idea," Courage said before pulling out a wallet.
"Good thinking Scoob," Shaggy added.
Courage took a credit card and put it in the ATM and took out some cash from the machine. But as soon as the slot underneath opened to give him the money, they quickly entered it before it closed, luckily that it was big enough for the three of them to go through it. As Shaggy, Scooby and Courage went through the machine, they eventually exited it and were in the bank.
Deciding to go through the air ducts to reach the vault, Courage took the lead with the flashlight turned on in his mouth. As the trio continued through the air ducts, they made twists and turns until they felt like they had made it to where they keep the vault, Courage moved to the front of the vent and pulled out a screw driver.
He then squeezed his paw and screwdriver through the openings and unscrewed the vent which then fell off, Courage then gave Scooby a rope and toss the other end of it outside the vent. Nodding, Scooby held onto it tightly as he descended down the rope. But as soon as he exited the vent, the floor was in fact, LAVA. Courage screamed in surprise. Lava!? Seriously!?
Scooby gasped as he heard his friend screaming, his heart ponded with terror, has something bad happened to Courage? "Rhat's wrong?"
Courage was sweating heavily, "The floor is lava, literally!" he yelled in desperation.
Curious, Scooby and Shaggy moved closed and looked down outside the vent and saw that he was correct.
"Whoa!/Rhoa!" Scooby and Shaggy exclaimed, their eyes widened.
"Like, what should we do?" Shaggy asked his friends.
Shaggy's question was answer, Courage's shoe came off and fell into the lave where it immediately caught on fire.
"Zoinks," Shaggy exclaimed in terror.
"Rikes," Scooby gulped, as he sweat dropped.
"Yipe," Courage squeaked at that, he then thought for a moment before pulling out a tall glass drink. He drank down the liquid and then turned the glass upside down and have the ice cubes fall into the lava.
Only for the ice cubes to jump out of the lava, shout in pain and run away.
"Rum, why did you think that would work Rourage?" Scooby asked him, to get a sense of his thought process on what he just did.
"I have no idea Scooby," Courage answered with a sheepish grin.
Courage took a deep breath and try to pull his nerves together. I can do this. He leaned back and forward to make the rope swing.
"Re careful Rourage," Scooby cautioned.
As soon as Courage felt he had enough momentum, he let go of the rope and managed to land on edge of the floor that was not lava. Taking out a stethoscope, he tried to crack open the vault but gave up as he threw the stethoscope away in frustration.
He then took out a crowbar and tried to pry it open but failed. In anger, Courage then pulled out a few sticks of dynamite and lit the fuse, he then motioned for Scooby to lower the rope a bit more. Doing so, Scooby lowered it just enough so Courage could grab it, he then began to climb up the rope, but as he neared the Great Dane, the vault door open up by itself.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gasped at that, their faces drained of color.
"Uh-oh/Ruh-oh," Shaggy, Scooby and Courage said in realization in unison.
The fuse reached the dynamite with big explosion as the bank exploded completely. The explosion sending the cowardly trio flying into the air and having them land right next to the truck, the three groaned in pain, feeling sore from the explosion.
"Boys. You're alright?" Muriel asked. But before the three could answer, the foot spoke up.
"Dumb dogs. Dumb kid. You three blew up the money," he said in anger.
At that moment, the police sirens were heard heading towards where they were. "Quick, you three, get us out of here."
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage quickly got up and got in the truck. Turning it on, Shaggy floored it away from the remains of the bank and from the incoming police, after a few minutes, the toe spoke up again getting their attention but not stopping Shaggy from driving the truck away from the bank.
"Okay, I got another plan, see? Yeah, another plan," the big toe told the three.
"LIKE, THIS IS YOUR PLAN!?" Shaggy flabbergasted.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage stood on the train tracks, they could even see the train coming their way and that would make them pancakes in a few moments.
"Banana guys? Last meal?" Courage offered his friends as he held up three bananas.
"Rhanks Rourage," Scooby told him as he and Shaggy took the two of the three bananas and all three started eating them.
"Okay, you three stand still, see. And make sure the train stops," the big toe ordered them.
"Huh?" Courage asked, confused.
Scooby scratched his head, he was heavily confused at the big toe's words, "Rhat?"
"Us?" Shaggy asked.
"Or, the fat lady gets it," the foot threatened.
"Yeah, the fat lady gets it," the middle toes repeated.
"Yeah, the fat lady gets it," the pinky repeated after them.
Muriel screamed. "Ooh!"
Soon the train was seconds away from them. Closing their eyes, the three frightened trio braced themselves for their inevitable fate, all the while whimpering, but it did not come as the train managed to stop just in time.
Courage's eyes shot open and he very nearly passed out, the headfirst of the train was so near, that he could touch it with his nose. A few more centimeters and they would have died, hearing a grunt to their side, Shaggy and Scooby opened their eyes and looked to their left and saw the foot attempt to kick the train onto its side.
However, the foot landed on the banana peel which caused him to slide on it and kick the train miles away.
"You dumb dogs and dumb kid, you three made me kick too hard, see," the big toe yelled at the shaken trio.
"Like, what's next?" Shaggy groaned.
Scooby and Courage put their paws on their muzzles and whined in fear at what it could be.
Everyone was back in the farmhouse, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were hiding on the steps, the foot was in the center of the living room floor with a map in front of him. He was planning his next plan, Muriel, unfortunately, was still trapped underneath him.
"I've been thing too small, see?" the big toe said. Unaware that Shaggy, Scooby and Courage listening in on his plans. "So, now we're going to pull a big job. A real big job. We're going to knock over Florida, see?"
"Yeah, Florida," the middle toes agreed.
"Yeah, Florida," the pinky toe repeated, before gaining a confused look on his face. "Where's Florida?"
"But knocking over Florida is against the law, I think," Muriel pointed out, before questioning if that is an actual law.
Getting to the attic, the trio turned on the computer, Courage sat down in his chair and began typing away.
"A fungus?! Did you three ever think about regular bathing?" the computer sarcastically asked.
"Not us! The farmer! His foot!" Courage quickly typed in, not having the patience right now for the computer's quips and jokes.
"I'm not surprised. Well, if you three want a cure, I'm going to need a sample," the computer told the trio.
"Oh/Roh," Shaggy, Scooby and Courage groaned in annoyance and fear.
Knowing what that meant, Shaggy went over to his bed and grab a fishing line from underneath it. Motioning to Scooby and Courage, they went back to the steps quietly, luckily, the big toe was too preoccupied with his plan to notice the nervous trio, lowering the line, Shaggy managed to have the hook grab onto a spore and pull it off the foot. The big toe not noticing a thing.
Pulling the line back up, they quickly went back to the attic, opening the disk tray, Courage put the spore on it and closed it. The computer than began to analyze it.
"YUCH! PTOOIE!" the computer said before opening the disk tray and launching the spore out of it before closing the tray again. "NASTY! There's only one cure for that."
"Well like, what is it?" Shaggy asked, wanting to get rid of the freaky fungus once and for all.
"Dog spit," the computer answered.
Scooby and Courage nearly gag at the computer's solution "Oh/Roh," they whined in unison not at all liking at what one of them now has to do and the horrible taste that is going to come with it.
"Work up a good drool baby," the computer taunted.
Scooby turned to Courage and gave him a cheesy grin, that saids, 'you do it.'
Courage groaned, but gave in. "You owe me."
The trio went back downstairs.
"I just know this is going to leave a bad taste in my mouth," Courage said, as he stood right behind the foot.
Seeing that the big toe was still distracted by his plans, the small dog sprang into action. Courage began to lick him all over the place, frowning as the spores covered his tongue while Shaggy and Scooby watched.
"YUCK, YUCK, STOP IT STOP IT!" the big toe demanded. "Yeah, see? Yeah, see?"
Courage was shuddering at the taste of the foot, but forced himself to keep going and trying to not think about it. At first, it did not seem like it was working, it seemed more like Courage was just tickling the guy, as evident by all the toes laughing. But after a moment, the fungus started to recede with Eustace's head being visible again.
"Like, it's working," Shaggy said in relief.
"Reep going Rourage!" Scooby called, urging the pink beagle on.
And a moment later, the fungus was gone and Eustace was back.
"Ah, wool socks," Eustace moaned disoriented and dazed as he got off of Muriel His foot now returning to normal size.
"OOH!" Muriel exclaimed as she saw Courage fall to the floor from the taste and what he just did.
"Oh, thank you Courage," Muriel said as she gave Courage a kiss on his head. "I thought I was going to be squished."
"Plack! Ptooie!" Courage gagged, as he tried to get rid of the taste in his mouth, he turned to Scooby and glared. "You owe me for this."
Scooby chuckled nervously.
Courage was in the bathroom. brushing his teeth, used mouth wash and then flossed. But as he finished flossing, he heard the muffled familiar voice of the big toe again. He whined nervously, dreading of what's inside his mouth, he got his answer when suddenly Courage's tongue shot out from his mouth.
"Yeah, a big heist, see? Okay, listen up. Here's the plan, see? Okay dog, it's like this. Or the fat lady gets it," the big toe, now on Courage's tongue threatened.
Courage screamed, "SCOOOOOOOBBBBBYYYYYY!" the scream echo through the farmhouse and chasing the ground to shake a bit
