It was a clear day down on the Bagge farm as Eustace worked on his truck and Muriel worked inside the farmhouse.
Since Shaggy and Scooby had already finished their daily chores, they decided to spend the rest of the day just sitting on the front porch and just playing games on their handheld consoles. Then Scooby heard an extremely loud crash of thunder, like lightning had just struck dangerously close to the farm.
Scooby jumped into Shaggy's arms and shook in fear.
"Like relax Scoob," Shaggy said, comforting his cowardly canine. "It was just lighting."
"Roh," Scooby said, a little embarrassed that he got startled by lighting, before chuckling at himself for being scared of a little lighting.
A moment later, both Muriel and Courage stepped out onto the front porch, carrying pots with some dry and possibly dying plants.
"The coming rain will do these flowers some good," Muriel said.
Shaggy just then lost the game on his console as it said, 'Game Over.'
"Like darn it," Shaggy complained. "I lost again."
"RI told you it was left," Scooby commented.
"Now you tell me man," Shaggy replied, disappointed.
Courage giggled watching his friends play, it was nice to see them in a carefree spirit today. Another day, another game for those two.
"Eustace, it be raining any minute now! You should come inside!" Muriel called out to her husband.
Eustace however didn't even look up and instead just waved her off, keeping his focus on the truck engine.
Courage sat by the flower pots and stared at them, but then there suddenly came a bright light that emanated from the clouds above, brighter than any sunshine that he, Shaggy or Scooby had ever seen before. It landed upon the flower pots and before the trio knew it, the flowers in the pot that Muriel had set down began to blossom and bloom. In no time at all, the pot was full of beautiful flowers all gleaming brightly, this left Shaggy, Scooby and Courage speechless. The flowers inside the pot that Courage had brought out remained dried out and dying.
"Like, what was that?" Shaggy asked, flabbergasted.
"RI don't know." Scooby shrugged, trying to get the words out.
"This is very weird," Courage said, with a wrinkled brow, as he look at his pot of dying plants.
"Muriel! Where are my pliers?!" Eustace called out.
Muriel didn't appeared to hear him as she exclaimed, "See? I knew setting them outside would do them some good."
"Well yeah, but like, how can they grow this fast?" Shaggy asked to himself, he was awe of what happened, stunned speechless.
"Come boys, let's go inside." Muriel, said to the trio.
As, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were about to head in they turned around only to find a large muscular goose man with white feathers wearing a blue toga. The feathers around his neck were a bluish color as well, making it look like he wore a collar on his neck. He was riding a cloud carriet, with flowers and chocolates in his wings.
"Zoinks!" Shaggy exclaimed, can't believing of what he is seeing.
"Rikes!" Scooby shouted, his mouth hanging open in shock.
Courage just took his eyes off of his face and wiped them like a pair of glasses.
"L-L-L-Like who is that?" Shaggy spoke in a weary tone.
"I don't know, but we need to warn Muriel," Courage replied, worried.
Shaggy and Scooby nodded, as they and Courage went inside the house, as they saw Muriel rocking on her chair.
Courage raced towards his owner and begin to babbled frantically, all the while pointing outside. He then morfed into a monstrous vision of the goose, to get his point across.
"Courage you sound awful," Muriel said, mistakenly thinking that Courage is sick. "How about a hot cup a tea and a wee nap?"
"Aunt Muriel the little pink dude is fine, but like you gotta come outside and see this," Shaggy said, as he took his aunt's hand and lead her outside the house.
As the trio and Muriel headed outside, the goose unfoterunately was gone.
"But, but," Courage stammered.
"Re was out there," Scooby pointed out.
"You must seen a bird boys," Muriel concluded. "Come inside dears," she went back inside the house, leaving the three friends alone.
Shaggy turned to the two worried dogs, "You like, saw the goose, right?"
"Yeah/Reah," Scooby and Courage nodded.
"And I like, I saw the goose, but where did he go?"
Courage was about to reply, when he was hit by flowers and chocolates. "Huh?"
"Rhere did those come from?" Scooby asked.
"I don't know, but we need to find Muriel," Courage replied, as he went into the house, with Shaggy and Scooby following the pink beagle.
"Muriel, Muriel!" Courage called, while carrying the flowers and candy.
Eustace hollering, "Where are my pliers. Did you take my... ehh?" Eustace walked in and stopped mid-sentence as he spotted Courage standing there with the flowers and candy in his paws.
"Whatcha got there dog?" Eustace asked and took them from Courage's paws.
Shaggy and Scooby were about to inject, but then Muriel stepped into the room and saw him.
"Why Eustace, for me?" she asked. "What a sweet surprise. Eustace you are a dear man."
She walked over and took the flowers and candy from Eustace, leaving him still confused until Courage pushed them apart.
"No, no, no, it's that goose thing!" Courage explained, pointing toward the doorway.
"Reah, and look it's outside," Scooby answered, pointing to the goose that was outside the door right now.
"Now Scooby, it's not polite to point," Muriel gently lectured, as she went to the door, with Shaggy, Scooby and Courage following close behind.
The goose stood tall and proud and said, "Mortal woman, I am here to pronounce eternal love for you."
"And you pronounce it perfectly," Muriel replied.
He put his arms to his sides and said, "You do not understand, I present to you an expression of my love. This gift."
With that he turned back around and raised his arms up. As he did, plants of various types began growing towards the farmhouse. Various bushes and flowers of many different types materialized towards the farmhouse and some grew up onto the porch. Courage growled at him from behind Muriel, feeling suspicious at the goose. Shaggy and Scooby also glared at the goose, for they also don't trust him.
Muriel however give him a warm look and said, "That's sweet, but I'm spoken for."
"That's right," Courage added.
"Sorry man, but like she's taken," Shaggy replied.
"Reah, have a nice day," Scooby chuckled.
"But thank you," Muriel said, kindly, "I never this field of flowers before. It's very flattering." She then turned to go back inside, with Shaggy and Courage.
Scooby waved, "Rye, bye," he chuckled before closing the door.
Muriel went to her rocking chair with Courage sitting on her lap. Shaggy turned on the TV, as he and Scooby went to sit on the couch, as Eustace walked back into the room with his pliers.
"Who was that?" he asked roughly.
"Just an admirer who offered me a field of flowers and hid eternal love," Muriel replied.
"Oh," Eustace shrugged and his usual scowl dropped. "You seen my screwdriver?"
Courage then turned to Shaggy and Scooby and said, "That goose better not try to take Muriel away," he then growled, "It's true."
"Oh like come on little pink dude, I'm sure the goose dude, is like miles away by now," Shaggy assured to the pink beagle.
As they talked amongst themselves, the Goose God snuck back up to the front door and slipped a letter under the door and rang the bell. Muriel walked over the door and saw that her name was written fancily on the envelope. She opened it and pulled a sheet of paper out. She instantly realized who it was who slipped it under the door.
"But like, I've been wrong before," Shaggy nervously laughed.
"It's a poem," Muriel said and then read it aloud.
Would that you ride
On feathered goosey wing
And be my queen
And I your goosey king
Then all days be sunny
All days shall be spring
Ever... Ever...
Goosey spring
The entire time she read the poem, Courage began gagging at the fluffness of it all, while Scooby and Shaggy give confuse glances at each other.
"He does have a way with words," Muriel said, as she set the paper down on the side table and went back into the kitchen.
Scooby, Shaggy and Courage gave worried glances at each other.
"Like, you don't think Muriel is falling in love with the goose, do you guys?" Shaggy asked with alarm, getting a little worried.
Courage wrinkled his brow, as he thought this through, he snapped his head up as a thought occurred to him, "Of course not, this is Muriel we're talking about. She wouldn't be falling in love with that goose...right?"
"Rumm, maybe we should take this to Rustace," Scooby suggested, not feeling satisfied.
Shaggy and Courage nodded, as Courage grab the paper and the trio run back out of the house to Eustace, who was still fixing his truck.
"Uncle Eustace, like Aunt Muriel is-" Shaggy warned.
But Eustace didn't listen, as he grabbed the paper from Courage and only used the paper as a tissue to blow his nose. He handed back to Courage much to his disgust.
"Ew/Rew," Scooby and Shaggy groaned in disgust.
Shortly after, the cowardly trio were back in the kitchen helping Muriel wash the dishes. As they washed, the four heard the sound of a stringed instrument strumming just outside of the kitchen window and the four looked out to see the Goose God again.
"Roh-no, not again," Scooby groaned.
"Like, doesn't this goose dude ever give up?" Shaggy complained.
"When a goose god loves a woman," he sang. "A woman big and round. When the goose god loves that woman gives his sound."
He ended the song by leaning his head back and made a honking sound with his mouth.
"Oh, how lovely," Muriel swooned.
Courage tugged on her dress and whined at her to get her attention. "Don't listen! Don't listen!"
Instead of turning to him, she kept staring out at the Goose God in wonder.
"Oh zoinks," Shaggy groaned, putting his hand to his head.
The trio ran back to Eustace and once again try to get his attention.
"Rustace, Ruriel is-" Scooby began.
All the respond the trio got was a scared with Eustace's mask. The trio screamed and ran away.
"Well if he's not going to do anything," Courage glared.
While Muriel was taking a bath, Courage took Eustace's hat using a stick on the window, and playing with a harp, while Shaggy and Scooby watched with anticipation. The two best friends were locking their eyes at the pink beagle, the two were hoping that Courage's idea would work.
"Like, I think it's working Scoob," Shaggy said, to the Great Dane, smiling in anticipation if Muriel chose Eustace over that goose god, the success of getting rid of him would be ensured.
But then, the Goose God came along and blew a cold wind at Courage, forming icicles on the little dog and freezing him in place.
"Courage!/Rourage!" Shaggy and Scooby yelled.
"S-S-So-c-c-c-cold," Courage stammered, child prickled his chest, shivering him the cold that bit him.
"Quick Scoob! Get some hot water!" Shaggy instructed.
"Right!" Scooby said with a nod, as he ran into the house to get some hot water to the frozen dog.
The Goose God went back to the front door and knocked on it again.
Muriel answered it, but found no one there. That is until she looked up to the sky and saw the Goose God on a storm cloud above her.
"Goose God and Muriel! Goose God and Muriel! Goose God and Muriel forever!" he sang and then bowed with a thank you before he disappeared into the sky again.
Muriel smiled with a sigh. Courage however growled and pulled her back inside.
"Okay guys like plan B," Shaggy said.
Scooby was dressed like a doorman at a hotel, holding a heart picture of Muriel and Eustace, he knocked on the door, Muriel came over and opened the door.
"Rustace and Ruirel, Rustace and Ruirel, Rustace and Ru-" Scooby sang, until he was cut off by the Goose God as pushed the Great Dane with a cart of food into the trash can.
"Oh I'm famished," Muriel said.
Immediately, Shaggy and Courage ran over to trash can to check on their friend.
"Scoob, are you alright?" Shaggy asked.
Scooby's eyes fluttered open and he he pop his head from the garbage can and he said in a dizzy voice, "Rey Rommy, will lay with me?"
Courage growled at the Goose God for hurting his friend, "That goose's gotta go!"
The Goose God laid across Muriel's lap as she pulled grapes off of the bunch and dropped them into his mouth. He even offered some to her to which she accepted. Across from the two, was a record player and a cardboard of Eustace dressed in a tux. This turns out to be a failure, as Shaggy tripped on a rock and snapped the cardboard Eustace in half.
"Like, ta-da," Shaggy smiled nervously, one of the worst ways to get caught in the act had just happened.
The Goose God sat up and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Come with me fleshy Muriel. Come with me on Goosey wind and up to Valhalla. Where you shall be my fleshy queen," the Goose God said excitedly.
Muriel smiled to which the trio gasped.
"Oh no!" Courage cried in panic.
"Aunt Muriel!" Shaggy shouted.
"Ron't go!" Scooby lamented in despair.
"You make an old woman young again," Muriel said, flattened, which made the Goose God grinned and much to the despair of the cowardly trio.
"But my place here with the man I love, and my precious boys." Muriel said, which made the Goose God frowned.
"Phew/Rhew," Scooby and Shaggy gave out a breath of relief.
"Yay!" Courage cheered, that Muriel wasn't going anywhere. He was so happy that he started to play with a trumpet and throwing confetti. Which made Shaggy and Scooby chuckled.
"I think it's best to find a another," Muriel said, as she headed back inside.
Courage carried a suitcase to the Goose God, with Shaggy and Scooby following behind.
"Get out of here!" Courage scowled, pointing to the direction, way from the farm.
But the Goose God refuse to leave as he grabbed a lighting bolt and zap the suitcase to dust, which startled the cowardly trio. "If I can't win Muriel with my love, then I shall take her!"
The three friends gasped and went back to Eustace who was still fixing his truck.
"Uncle Eustace! Uncle Eustace!" Shaggy yelled.
"Rhe Goose God is taking Ruirel away!" Scooby howled.
Courage tried his best to get his attention, but Eustace continued to ignore them.
The trio then heard Muriel's cries as the goose was carrying her away on his back. The Goose God ignored her pleas as he climbed onto the chariot and prepared to take off.
"Like, what do we do!?" Shaggy panicked, with a worried expression.
"RI don't know! RI don't know!" Scooby shouted in hysteric.
Courage desperate to get Eustace's attention, climbed into the truck cab and pressed his paw down on the horn, startling Eustace and making him bang his head on the hood of the truck as it blared, knocking him out.
Just as he was about to go off, the Goose God turned his head and looked back to the truck. Courage hit the horn a few more times and the horn that sounded very similar to the honks from the goose.
"That... that sound. What is that glorious sound?" the Goose God asked with wonder.
Scooby and Shaggy looked at each other and thought the same idea.
"Like little pink dude, pressed the horn again," Shaggy instructed.
Courage hit the horn a few more times before the Goose God released Muriel and dropped her to the ground.
She sat up, with her hands on her hips and said, "Why I never."
The Goose God didn't hear her as he flew towards the truck saying, "Oh I have found her. I have found my true love. I have found my queen."
Courage panicked thinking, he was referring to him. "I am not his queen!"
The Goose God flew over to the truck and landed on top of it as he hovered over it. "Oh speak to me again my queen. Make your sounds of love and longing," the Goose asked of it.
"Rourage, press the horn again!" Scooby called out to the pink beagle.
Just wanting to be free of this guy already, Courage hit the horn twice and the Goose repeated the sound. Courage did this two more times with the Goose repeating it both times. Courage ended it with a single long blast to which the Goose returned with a window rattling single blast from his mouth.
The Goose stood on top of the truck as a cloud formed around it and declared, "Come my queen, ascend with me. The heavens await our harmony... of honk."
He finished his little speech with a single loud honk as Courage jumped from the truck, and Shaggy caught him. Just as the truck was ascending up to the clouds, Eustace stirred and looked up.
"MY TRUCK!" Eustace called out in anguish as he watched them disappearing from view.
A few hours later, Muriel was sitting her rocking chair reading a letter, with Courage on her lap and Shaggy and Scooby were watching TV and eating snacks.
"Look boys, we've been invited to a wedding. The goose and Eustace's truck are going to get married," Muriel said, much to the confusion to Shaggy, Scooby and Courage.
The trio listened to Eustace's sobs from outside.
Shaggy turned to Scooby, "Parting such sweet sorrow right Scooby?"
"Reah," Scooby agreed, with a chuckle. "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!"
