It was nighttime at the Bagge farm and Muriel was sick and laying on the couch.
"Oh," Muriel moaned.
"Raggy?" Scooby inquired.
"Yeah Scoob?" Shaggy asked in return.
"Rhat's wrong with Ruriel?" Scooby inquired a frown across his muzzle.
"I don't know, buddy, I don't know," Shaggy replied as he took the thermometer out from her mouth and saw that she had a fever before placing it back in her mouth.
"WHERE'S MY DINNER!" Eustace demanded. "You were going to make hamburgers."
Scooby and Shaggy glared at the old man, even though they would love dinner too, they won't want Muriel to harm herself just to make a meal for them, especially if she was sick.
"Like, Uncle Eustace can you see Aunt Muriel is sick?" Shaggy spat at his uncle, as he rubbed his aunt's arm.
"Reah, go make dinner for yourself!" Scooby added, in a hiss, as he adjusted the ice pack on Muriel's head.
"Is there a doctor in the house?" Courage asked as he adjusted the blanket for Muriel.
"Ah, you three are dears," Muriel weakly told the trio.
Shaggy knew that they all need to eat dinner at some point, he could always ordered a pizza, he smiled as he remembered to day he introduced Courage to pizza a couple of weeks ago. Courage had fallen in love with it, he sometimes beg for some of that cheesy goodness.
"Well, if you ain't feeding me. I'm going out to get something to eat," Eustace shouted cutting off Shaggy's thoughts while throwing down his newspaper in frustration.
"It would be lovely if you could bring me a scone from the sweet stuff bakery," Muriel told him.
"Ah. Okay," Eustace relented before exiting the house.
"Can you three go along? He always forgets to get the right thing," Muriel asked the cowardly trio.
"Oh! I know I'm not going to like this," Courage whined.
"Re neither," Scooby added, with a groan.
"Like, let's just get it over with dudes," Shaggy told his friends as he put the leash on Courage before he, Scooby and Courage exited the house.
Shaggy, Scooby, Courage and Eustace headed to the truck, where old farmer is driving to the bakery to get Muriel a scone. But as Eustace is nearby the bakery, he drove passed it.
"Like, hey," Shaggy told Eustace as they've passed the sweet stuff bakery.
"Re passed the bakery," Scooby added.
"But-But-But!" Courage tried to get Eustace's attention.
"SHUT IT! Gotta get me a hamburger first," he said laughing.
"Where do you think he is taking us?" Courage asked, his friends.
"Like, whatever it is, at least we'll get burgers," Shaggy replied, as his mouth started to water.
"Reah, burgers," Scooby added, as he licked his lips.
Courage rolled his eyes at the hungry duo, "Of course you two would think of food at a time like this."
"Now. Where is that—There she be!" Eustace exclaimed suddenly.
Looking forward, the trio saw a roadside sign that said 'Burgers! Really Cheap.'
"Burgers. Really cheap. That's for me," Eustace said, with a smile.
As he parked the truck, Shaggy, Scooby and Eustace heard Courage's stomach growl a bit.
"Hungry, eh? Stupid dog," Eustace mocked.
The trio rolled their eyes, as Shaggy grabbed Courage's leash as everyone got out of the truck. Walking up to the door, they all entered the dinner and sat down on the bar stools. There was a big chubby man, just eating the last of his burger, making Eustace, Shaggy and Scooby licking their lips in anticipation.
"I can't wait," Eustace said, his mouth watering.
Shaggy and Scooby breathed in the scents of the burgers inside the diner and sighed in contentment.
"Ho, Ho, Ho," a new voice spoke up. Turning back around, the family saw a giant pig barge through the door. "Welcome. Welcome to Jean Bon's. Home of the best looking, juiciest burgers in all of Nowhere. What's your pleasure?"
"Excuse me," the chubby man interjected. "Where's the-"
"Behind the door," Jean Bon answered while pointing to the red door on the other end of the room. The man got up and entered the door.
"My name is Jean Bon. My names French. Well, I'm not but it has a nice ring. Jean Bon. Jean Bon-" Jean began but was interrupted by an irritated Eustace.
"Ooh, I want to eat!" he shouted.
"What can I get you?" Jean asked.
"Burger. Big and juicy," Eustace answered.
"One burger big and juicy," Jean repeated, as he wrote Eustace's order down.
Courage heard his stomach growling again, he hadn't eat much today, because he was too busy taking care of Muriel.
"What about those three?" Jean asked, pointing at Shaggy, Scooby and Courage with his pencil.
Eustace was about to answer, but Shaggy beat him to the punch.
"Like, lots and lots of burgers and a big soda with each," Shaggy answered, with his mouth watering.
"Got you. Coming right out," Jean responded, before heading back into the kitchen.
Eustace glared at his nephew, "Do you have money to pay it? Cause I ain't paying."
Shaggy nodded in confidence, "Like yeah Uncle Eustace, I have my wallet, and enough money to pay for all three of us."
Eustace grumbled, but didn't say anything as he waited for his food.
Courage looked at the teen and smiled, "Thanks Shaggy, everything time I go with the farmer to get something to eat, I always get the smallest meal or nothing at all."
Shaggy smiled back at the little pink beagle, "Like no problem little pink dude. We can't stand a little guy like you go hungry."
"Reah," Scooby added, with a chuckle.
Courage grinned, he was very lucky to have friends like those two. Everything was silent from that point as everyone waited for their food. Courage started to get an anxious feeling, as he looked at the door the man had use to go to the restroom. He been gone for awhile.
"Weird," Courage suddenly spoke.
"Rhat's weird Rourage?" Scooby asked, noticing the little pink beagle looking worried.
"The guy hasn't come back yet," he answered.
"Like, maybe he doing the other business," Shaggy suggested.
"Maybe," Courage said nervously, he had a sixth sense something bad was going on.
Hearing the door open, the trio saw Jean come back and began wiping down the counter. They've thought nothing of it at first until he took the man's hat and briefcase. He clearly saw them looking at him as his eyes widen in shock.
"OH!" Courage gasped, as he quickly turned his head.
Scooby and Shaggy gave nervous grins, as they turn their heads as well. The pig turned to the three nervous friends, and tried to act casual, as if nothing had happened.
"I'll hold it until he gets back," Jean said before returning to the kitchen.
"Like, maybe he's just being polite," Shaggy said, trying to get a possible guest.
"RI, hope so," Scooby responded, started to get a creepy feeling from the pig.
"Me too," Courage added, although in the back of his mind, he knew that probably wasn't the case.
"WHERE'S MY BURGER!?" Eustace demanded.
"Coming right up," Jean called out.
"Something smells fish or my name is stinky lulu. And thank goodness it's not," Courage told Shaggy and Scooby as Jean reappeared with a tray containing burgers and three drinks.
"Finally," Eustace uttered excitedly, as he received his burger.
"Like, thanks mister," Shaggy said, as he Scooby and Courage received their food and drinks.
When the wonderful smell hit Shaggy and Scooby's noses, they couldn't stop their tongues from flopping out onto the counter. Courage simply looked on the burger, with a distrust look.
Shaggy and Scooby went onto chomping down on almost three hamburgers at once. They're so hungry that they've just wanted to shove as much food into their mouths as they've could fit.
Courage still hasn't touch one of the burgers or his drink, he had a gut feeling something wasn't right. He looked up to Jean-Bon, as he was waiting to try out one of his burgers. Courage give a timid smiled, as he lifted the bun off of his burger and grabbed a ketchup bottle that was next to him. But just when he was about to but ketchup on his burger. He gave a gasped of fear, and quickly put the bun on his hamburger. Millions of thoughts were now going on in his head now of what he just saw.
Courage didn't want to lifted the bun again, but he had to look to confirm his fears. He slowly lifted off his bun and to his horror, he saw the face there that looked like the man that has been gone a while now. Courage gave a screamed of pure terror, it started Shaggy and Scooby, as they're in the middle of eating their burgers.
"Rourage, what's wrong?" Scooby asked, in a concerned tone.
"Is there anything wrong?" Jean asked as well.
"No, no, no," Courage quickly answered.
"It's my wife's special. A head of beef," Jean told Shaggy, Scooby and Courage.
Now Shaggy and Scooby were started to get creepy vibes from this pig owner.
"Um, like, your wife really made a good recipe," Shaggy gave a nervous chuckle to the pig.
"Thanks. I'll tell her that later," Jean replied with a smile before entering the kitchen again. Shaggy and Scooby than turned to Courage again.
"Like, why did you scream little pink dude?" Shaggy asked.
"Saw the man's head," Courage answered while pointing to the burger meat.
And to Shaggy and Scooby's shock and horror, they saw the face of the man.
"YOU MEAN LIKE, WE,VE BEEN EATING HUMAN MEAT!?" Shaggy cried out in horror and disgust.
Shaggy and Scooby both started to wiped their tongues while moaning in horror and disgust. The two felt shame and disgust since they ate something, they knew they shouldn't.
"SHUT IT! ALL OF YOU!" Eustace yelled annoyed.
Courage then tried to get his attention and tell him the same thing. As he inflated like the man from before and landed on his burger. But Eustace got even more annoyed. He then pulled out his mask and scared Shaggy, Scooby and Courage. The cowardly trio screamed before running away to the side of the diner, before taking deep breaths from their scare from Eustace.
"Like dudes, the guy has been gone for a while. And Jean-Bon took the guy's stuff away," Shaggy pointed out. A thrill of pure horror shivered through the cowardly teen as he realized he was gone for at least thirty minutes.
"Reah, something's not right," Scooby added with a shiver.
There was a crippling air of foreboding to that door and it was seriously starting to freak him out. "I think we can find some answers on the other side of the door," Courage replied as he opened the door. This frightened him, but he knew they needed answers.
Taking a look, the cowardly trio saw that everything was really dark and they could barely see anything.
"I know we shouldn't," Courage said, with a whimper as he started to go downstairs.
Scooby turned around and saw the door to the kitchen on the other side of the diner started to opened and fear it was Jean-Bon.
Scooby give out a shriek of an alarm, startling Shaggy and Courage, as they and Scooby fell down the stairs. After a painful landing. Shaggy and Courage give glares to the Great Dane, who smiled sheepishly.
"Rorry," Scooby answered.
The three turned around and the door upstairs closed, leaving the three friends alone in the dark.
"Uh-oh/Ruh-oh," Shaggy, Scooby and Courage said at the same time.
The trio than saw a light coming from the door, the three friends didn't want to get closer to the door, but they needed to investigate, there was no getting around it. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage slowly and quietly made their way over, nervously. Once there, the trio easily heard Jean speaking to someone.
"A mighty fine specimen. Wouldn't you say dear?" he asked.
"I love it. I love it. I love it," a lady answered.
Peeking through the crack, while Shaggy, Scooby and Courage did not see anybody, the trio did see Jean's shadow and the lady he's talking to. In the center was the shadow of something they've could not identify.
"Delicious."
Courage's heart felt like it was about to explode from terror, he started to scream, but Scooby quickly covered his mouth so he doesn't give themselves away.
"Ruiet, quiet, quiet," Scooby whispered in a fearful voice, desperately to keep his pink canine friend silent.
"Dear. We have a new costumer. He has... possibilities," Jean told the lady.
"Mmm, mmm. Yummy," the lady replied.
"And he has the cutest dogs and kid with him," Jean added. "I know how much you've been wanting dogs and kid."
"DOGS! KID! YUM!" the lady gasped. "I haven't had dogs or kid in a long, long time."
Shaggy drew in a horrified squeal, "Zoinks! Like, as much as I love food as much as the next person does, I don't wanna become food myself!" he yelped, as his stomach lurched with fear.
"Re neither!" Scooby agreed, with a fearful squeak.
Courage shivered, in fear at the thought of him, Shaggy and Scooby being served for dinner for the two hungry cannibals. He picture all three of them being cooked and well done.
"We gotta get outta here!" Courage replied, they all need to get out of here now!
The cowardly trio all raced upstairs to warn Eustace and get out of this nightmare. Courage jumped onto his head screaming his lungs out, while Shaggy and Scooby started talking all the same time about the danger that they're in.
"YAH!" Eustace shouted, as he thrown Courage off of his head, but luckily he was caught by Shaggy.
"Can't you three see I'm eating!?" Eustace yelled.
"Like, Uncle Eustace, I don't think you want to eat that burger if you knew what it's made out of," Shaggy answered, with a shudder.
"Stupid dogs and Shaggy-haired-fella," Eustace ignored before resuming and quickly finishing his burger.
"On the house," Jean suddenly said as he appeared with yet another burger.
"That's might neighborly," Eustace said before eating the new burger.
"When you're done. My wife would love to meet you," Jean told him.
"Yeah, yeah," Eustace said not caring as he resumed eating.
Then he turned to Shaggy, Scooby and Courage, much to their horror, the three couldn't fight the sheer terror that was coursing through them.
"Well, it looks like your all finished eating. My wife would love to meet all of you," Jean-Bon then jumped over the counter. "Right now."
Shaggy then laughed nervously, telling the pig owner, "Like, wish we could stay, but you see, we have something important to do tonight."
"Reah, and we can't be late," Scooby added, with nervous chuckle.
"Y-Y-Yeah, m-m-m-maybe some other time," Courage stuttered, with a nervous smile.
"Come now, I insist. My wife is very fond of dogs and kids." Jean told the terrified trio as he almost creepily walked towards the shaken friends.
"NO!" Courage screamed as he, Shaggy and Scooby back up to the door again.
Courage, Shaggy and Scooby huddled toward the door shaken with uncontrollable fear, while whimpering and they accidentally opened to door, which caused all three of them to fall down the stairs quite painfully.
"Ow!/Row!" Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all grunted in pain as the three slowly got up.
"Oh the poor kid and dogs," Jean-Bon cooed.
The three turned towards up stairs at the pig and gave out squeaks of fear. Jean laughed as he slowly went down the steps.
"RUN!" Scooby screamed out.
The trio tried to run away. Only to realize they're trapped as the three terrified friends came across the room they all saw earlier and saw there was no exit in there was well. They all gasped in horror as the lady from before was in there as well.
"I love it. I love it. I love it," she said as she started assembling something. "Delicious."
"Zoinks," Shaggy caught his breath in fear, at seeing the lady basically devour the entire thing in one bite.
Scooby, Shaggy and Courage looked at each other with terrified looks and gave out screams of pure terror. Scooby turned around and his heart nearly stopped, as Jean-Bon was right behind them and was ready to grabbed them.
"Ratch out!" Scooby shouted as he pushed Shaggy and Courage to the side to avoid getting grabbed by Jean.
"Come on. We just want to meet you," he said as he began to chase the cowardly trio around the room.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage ignored him and kept running for their lives.
"Come on. I want you all to meet my wife. She has plans for you," he persisted.
Yet the three friends just kept on running away from him. Only stopping when they didn't pay attention and ran straight into the wall. In daze they got up, and to their horror Jean was slowly walking towards them. The cowardly trio clanged to each other, backing up to the corner of the wall and whimpered in total fear.
Like, come on. Shaggy in thought desperation, trying to see if there was a way out. But then he saw it. Reaching up, the cowardly teen pulled on a door in the wall the let out an ironing board right on top of Jean's head. Knocking him out and allowing the three to catch a breath.
"Come on dudes," Shaggy said, to the two dogs, as they began to get up the stairs to get out of here. But just as they're about to return upstairs….
"Sweetie? Did you bring me those dogs and that kid?" a voice asked. Turning around, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gasped in horror as they saw that it was Jean's wife coming from the next room over.
"I'm alright my dumpling. Here's the dogs and the kid you wanted," Jean answered as he got up while rubbing his head.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage had all never been so frightened in their lives. Their hearts thrummed in their chests and they could barely breathe. Terror turned their muscles to stone so that they couldn't even flee.
"What cuties. I could just eat them up," she said all too happily.
This was the final straw, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage screamed before running up the stairs and breaking the door in the process. The three friends tried to take Eustace with them but he resisted.
"UNCLE EUSTACE! COME ON!" Shaggy screamed out, as he desperately tried to get Eustace out of the diner.
"RE'S GONNA COOK US!" Scooby cried out in terror.
"AND EAT US!" Courage added, with fear in his shouting.
"Get away from me," Eustace said, annoyed by the cowardly trio
Just then, Jean's wife came out and said with a creepy witch-like tone, "Come here you delicious dogs and kid."
The trio screamed in terror, as they just put Eustace back and ran to the door and desperately tried to get it too open, but for some reason it was stuck.
"LIKE, GET US OUTTA HERE!" Shaggy screamed out, as he desperately tried to get the door to opened.
"RE DON'T WANNA BE DINNER!" Scooby screamed, in a terrified voice.
"WE WANNA LIVE!" Courage added, in fear.
"Yummy, puppies and boy, come to Mama," the wife said, as she got closer to the cornered friends.
Scooby, Shaggy and Courage turned around and their hearts were beating faster as the wife was coming closer to them. Scooby then think the only thing he could do. With all the strength he could summoned, he kicked to door as hard as he could.
The door had broken down, the three friends then all went running out the diner and screaming, leaving Eustace behind. They run faster, as the wife came after them. Faster than they had ever ran before, they didn't stopped running until they're all safe back at the farm.
An hour later, Muriel, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were watching TV, Muriel was in a blanket, drinking tea, while Scooby, Shaggy and Courage were shivering from tonight's experience.
"Don't worry boys. I'm sure Eustace is fine," Muriel said as she drank some of the tea. "He always gets lost when I send him out for scones."
"I doubt that," Courage said shivering.
"Guys, the next time we ever get hungry, like, remind us to never eat at Jean Bon's again!" Shaggy said, with a shiver.
"Agreed/Ragreed," Courage and Scooby replied in unison, they won't be going back to Jean-Bon's anytime soon.
