It was a beautiful day, and Courage and Scooby were digging holes together, with Shaggy watching.
"You dudes really have to stop burying everything," Shaggy told them as he sat on the edge of the hole, they're was digging.
"Rut where will we keep everything safe?" Scooby asked.
"Like, maybe a safe?" Shaggy suggested, shrugging his shoulders.
"Anybody can get a safe, plus, it can broken into," Courage countered.
"But like, what stops people from taking what you buried?" Shaggy asked, stating a flaw in their system.
"Rountains of dirt and not knowing where it could be," Scooby answered while throwing some more dirt out of the way.
Courage then noticed, a blue and sparkle crystal, "Hey guys, I found something!"
"Like, what you find, little pink dude?" Shaggy exclaimed as he hopped into the hole.
"This," Courage remarked, as he wiped the dirt away to reveal a giant blue crystal.
"Wow/Row," Scooby and Shaggy gasped in unison, amazed at how beautiful the crystal was.
Courage stared intently, as he examined the crystal with a magnifying glass." Hmm, not sure what type of crystal it is."
"RI know, how about we give it to Ruirel as a present?" Scooby suggested.
"Good idea, she will definitely love this," Courage agreed, his eyes lighting up as he and his friends climbed out of the hole.
"Aunt Muriel!" Shaggy called out as he, Scooby and Courage entered the kitchen and saw her cooking some dog food. "Like, we got you something."
"Oh, how lovely, is it for me?" Muriel asked.
"Reah," Scooby told her with Courage nodding.
Muriel turned around and somehow turning the crystal and turning it into a necklace in less than a second. "How does it look?" Muriel asked turning to Eustace.
"Ugly," Eustace answered.
"Like, we think it looks beautiful on you Aunt Muriel," Shaggy told her while he, Courage and Scooby glared at Eustace.
"Thank you, now run along and dinner will be out shortly," Muriel told the trio.
"Rinner!? Roh boy," Scooby said excitedly.
"Like, come on guys," Shaggy said as the three exited the kitchen and headed to the living room to watch some movies while they've wait.
It was now evening, as the family were in the dining room on the table waiting for Muriel to be done cooking dinner.
"Okay boys, dinner's ready," Muriel called out as she entered the dining room with a tray filled with food.
The trio looked up at the old woman and gasped in mingled disbelief and terror, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage could see the door through Muriel's body. Muriel was somehow translucent.
"Zoinks! Like, are you okay Aunt Muriel?" Shaggy asked, his heart quickening.
"Just fine dear," Muriel answered as she began to plate the food for everyone.
Courage, toke out a bowl filled with water and began dunking his eyes into it. Taking a note from him, Shaggy and Scooby grabbed some water from the bowls and splashed their faces with it. Courage then put his eyes back in his head before the trio turned back to Muriel, only to see that she was in fact translucent. This made Courage screamed in horror.
"Is something wrong?" Muriel asked with worry in her tone.
"Ro, we're okay," Scooby quickly lied, forcing his head to meet Muriel's face.
"Okay," Muriel said before resuming her food.
"What should we do?" Courage asked.
"Like okay, maybe we spent too much time outside with the hot sun," Shaggy answered.
Courage gulped, "Possibly, so should we wait?"
Scooby looked on, unable to conceal his worry, "Raybe, we just need some sleep, digging can tire a dog out."
"Sounds good," Courage agreed trying to calm himself down, as he, Shaggy and Scooby went back to eating their food.
But the trio could not help but wonder what was causing Muriel to be like this.
The next morning, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage entered the kitchen and saw Eustace sitting at the table reading his newspaper, hearing Muriel humming, the trio could tell that she was by the sink. Entering the kitchen, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage walked up to her and saw her doing the dishes.
"Like, Good morning, Aunt Muriel, how are you feeling?" Shaggy asked as he, and his friends reached her.
But to the cowardly trio's horror, she turned around and they've saw something, well more precisely, saw nothing, as in, Muriel was completely invisible, expect for her clothes.
"Morning to you too, and I'm just fine," Muriel answered.
Terror seized Shaggy, Scooby and Courage as they gasped in shock.
"Breakfast is ready," Muriel told the frightened trio.
Nodding, mainly because Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were too shocked and in terror to say anything, as they've went to sit at the table.
"What now?" Courage asked with growing horror.
"Like, I don't know man," Shaggy answered, he was still trying to process what he'd seen, but he couldn't make his brain accept it. His thought were cut off, as Muriel sat down next to them.
"Courage, Scooby. I made you both sandwiches of my special, secret blue ribbon dog food, just the way you both like it," Muriel said as she handed the dogs two sandwiches filled with homemade dog food. "I just know I'll win the contest with this batch."
"Roh-boy," Scooby said happily, as he begin to devour his delicious sandwich and the delicious creamy flavor burst in his mouth.
Courage on the other whined at seeing the sandwich, he lost his appetite the moment he his eyes landed on his invisible owner. He then got off his seat and went into the living room, he dialed the phone number to Dr. Vindaloo. His heart began to pound as he wondered what was wrong with Muriel.
As Shaggy and Scooby continued eating, they stopped when they saw how Muriel now invisible was eating, they could see her chewing up the pancakes.
Eustace noticed this, but not noticing his wife was now invisible, "Muriel, close your mouth when you chew!"
Muriel swallowed, could be seen, much to Shaggy and Scooby's disgust. Suddenly they weren't hungry anymore.
"Umm, we're gonna see what the little pink dude is up too," Shaggy said, as he excuse himself from the table, and walked into the living room.
"Right behind you Raggy," Scooby agreed, before also excusing himself from the table and following his owner.
Courage was on the phone with Dr. Vindaloo. walking up to him, Shaggy and Scooby began to listen on the conversation.
"You should immediately remove the stone from the invisible one," Dr. Vindaloo told them.
Surprised by what he just said, Shaggy grabbed the phone, and Courage quickly went back to the kitchen, before grabbing the stone from Muriel's neck and coming back a second later with the stone.
"Still invisible," Courage said taking the phone back, he quivered with dread, super worried about his owner.
'Still invisible, what's up with that?' Dr. Vindaloo asked.
"Like, what do we do doctor? We can't see Aunt Muriel anymore," Shaggy asked, before whimpering a little.
"You three bring me the stone and I'll run some tests. OUCH! And please, one of you bring me a bandage," Dr Vindaloo answered before hanging up.
"At least we're getting somewhere," Courage said hanging up the phone. I hope Dr Vindaloo has something. He thought. Or things will be even worse than they are now!
"Reah," Scooby frowned.
"Should we take her now or later?" Courage asked.
"Like, let's finish breakfast first, me and Scooby hadn't eaten since 2:00 am," Shaggy answered as he, Scooby and Courage headed back to the kitchen.
Courage rolled his eyes, at the duo, but nodded, with these two they could be hungry in any situation, no matter how bad it is.
Entering the kitchen, the trio saw everything was calm, but that quickly went out the window when they've felt vibrations, before they heard a helicopter above the farm.
"Relicopters?" Scooby asked, his head up at attention.
And a second later, three government spies burst through each of the windows and door, startling the cowardly trio, as they began to scream in blind terror. They then began bouncing around the room a few times while striking different poses each time, though Shaggy, Scooby and Courage did get confused a bit when they suddenly stopped to eat a slice of toast. However, it only lasted a second as they began going around the room again before grabbing Muriel and dragging her out a window.
"AUNT MURIEL!" Shaggy cried, he had to do something. He grabbed her leg to try and get her back inside, but unfortunately, her boot came off which allowed the spies to take her.
"Don't worry you three, Federal Agent, your mother is working for us now. Stay in school, sleep often, and practice good hygiene," one of the agents told the worried trio before disappearing.
"Told you it was an ugly rock," Eustace spoke up not at all realizing what just happened.
Courage's eyes grew wide with fear and anguish, "Well, what now?" he asked holding up the rock, exhaling a shaky breath. "The things I do for love."
Shaggy put his hand on the cowardly pink beagle's head, "Don't worry little pink dude, we'll be right with you."
Scooby came up and put his arm over Courage's back, "Reah whatever happens to Ruriel, we'll be there to rescue her."
Courage felt a surge of gratitude, "Thanks guys, your the best."
"But first, let's eat breakfast, I'm starving," Shaggy said, before getting the plate of pancakes.
"Reah," Scooby walked with his owner.
Courage sighed, Should of seen that come. "Come on you two let's save Muriel," he said as he rolled his eyes, and lifted, Shaggy and Scooby, still holding their food and they've left for Dr. Vindaloo.
"Ugly rock, ain't it?" Eustace asked irritated that the trio forced him to come along to Dr. Vindaloo's office.
"Like, Dr. Vindaloo, is there anything you can tell us about it?" Shaggy asked, with a frown.
"If I am to find the antidote, someone has to put the thing on and disappear," Dr Vindaloo told the family.
And without missing a beat, Eustace pointed to the the trio, who shook their heads violently with fear.
"My tests show the stone doesn't work on dogs, don't know why. It just doesn't," Dr Vindaloo explained.
"Stupid dogs," Eustace complained, before turning to his nephew, giving him a cold smile making a shiver running down Shaggy's spine, "Then you try it Shaggy haired-fella!".
"Like no way man, I don't want to be invisible," Shaggy protested uneasily, folding his arms, his distress leaking into his voice.
Courage saw Shaggy's eyes widen with fear, he knew just how his friend felt, he didn't blame Shaggy for not wanting to do this. But they didn't have time to argue, "Shaggy I don't want do this as much as you do, but we don't have timeā¦."
Scooby put a paw on the pink beagle's shoulder and told him, "Rourage, let me handled this," he then walked over to his owner, while Courage titled his head in confusion, what could Scooby do to get Shaggy to changed his mind.
"Raggy you do it for a Scooby Snack?" Scooby asked, taking a box of Scooby Snacks off of his back.
Shaggy shook his head no, still not facing his best friend and folding his arms.
"Row about two Scooby Snacks?" Scooby suggested.
The lanky teen pondered over the offer. "Not a bad idea," he said. "Deal."
"Rou got it," Scooby handed the snacks to his best friend.
Shaggy gleefully ate the snacks, with Courage standing there in shock.
"How did you do it?" Courage asked flabbergasted.
"Revery time we refused to do something, Red, Relma and Raphne, always gives me and Raggy treats to be brave," Scooby explained, as he looked at his best friend, who enjoyed the snacks.
"Oh, wow," Courage replied in wonder, on how treats work for bravery for Shaggy and Scooby.
"Can we get on with this! I wanna go home!" Eustace angrily said, impatiently.
Dr. Vindaloo placed the stone around Shaggy's neck.
"This will take some time, you two dogs, go sniffing around for the invisible one, by the time you find her, I hope I have the antidote," Dr. Vindaloo told Scooby and Courage.
"Okay, be back soon, come on Scooby," Courage said as he and Scooby took a few whiffs of Muriel's boot to pick up a scent, he and Scooby soon caught it and left the room to go find her.
But it took an hour to find where the government have taken Muriel.
Back at the doctor's office, Shaggy had turn completely invisible, thanks to the stone on his neck.
Dr. Vindaloo in the meantime was writing notes on his board, "Good, good, you have become invisible very well."
Shaggy looked down, and try to look at his arms and hands, he gasped, he can't see them anymore, this freaked him out. "Zoinks! My hands are gone!"
"I think I like better when you're invisible, I can't see you," Eustace mocked.
Even Shaggy know he was sure his head was now invisible, he rolled his eyes, at his uncle. "Very funny," he said sarcastically.
"Okay, antidote test number one," Dr. Vindaloo said, as he held a lobster.
"Like wait, what are you-" Shaggy began, before he was placed a lobster on the ground which used its claw to grab Shaggy's leg hard.
The pain causing him to bounce around the room a few times before the lobster finally decided to let go, while Eustace was laughing at his poor nephew's cries of pain.
"Wonderful show, but no antidote," Dr. Vindaloo, said as he wrote down his notes on the clipboard.
Next Dr. Vindaloo took out a giant whale and used it to beat, Shaggy over the head with it, hitting him full force. The result, caused Shaggy to become visible for a second before going back to invisible.
"Okay, lunch break," Dr. Vindaloo said while tossing the whale away.
"Like, you read my mind Dr. Vindaloo," Shaggy said, he couldn't help but be relieved that they're taking a break from the tests he was given, everything in his body was sore from all the tests.
Eustace, Shaggy, and Dr. Vindaloo then came over to a nearby table and pulled out some sandwiches, as Shaggy eaten his sandwich, the sweet taste filled him with warmth and satisfaction. But as for Eustace he immediately spit out his food.
"Stupid dog food, must have gotten my sandwiches mixed up," Eustace said as he put the sandwich on the table.
As Shaggy ate his sandwich, he has gotten dog food on his shirt.
"What did you say was in that sandwich?" Dr. Vindaloo asked.
"Lousy stinking dog food," Eustace answered.
"That is the antidote, lousy stinking dog food," Dr. Vindaloo exclaimed.
"Like, what?" Shaggy asked, before looking down at his hands, he could see his hands again, he was visible again! He chuckled and grinned. "Well what do you know, I always knew food could be the cure."
Back with the dogs, they're getting closer to find Muriel's scent.
"I think we're getting closer Scooby," Courage said, his owner's scent prickled his nostrils.
"RI hope so," Scooby responded, with a worried expression. RI hope they didn't hurt Ruriel.
The two dogs manage to find the door, that said 'Top Secret Gov't Facility.'
"I think I found her Scooby, she's behind that door," Courage assured to the Great Dane.
Scooby turned around and saw another door, it was the same door they came to. They're back where they started.
"Rumm, Rourage," Scooby said, as he pointed the door.
Courage turned around and was surprise, by Scooby's discovery, "Huh? Who knew, Dr. Vindaloo and the government were so close."
"Okay okay!" a familiar voice said, it was Muriel!
The two dogs put their ears on the door to listen.
"The secret ingredient is vinegar! I put vinegar in the dog food! I use it in all my cooking! I hope you're satisfied!" Muriel's voice was muffled.
Scooby got a confused look on his face, "Rhat is Ruriel talking about?"
"I have no idea, but at least Muriel's okay. Come on he have to get back to Dr. Vindaloo, the farmer and Shaggy," Courage told Scooby.
Scooby nodded, as the two dogs headed back to the office.
Back with, Shaggy, Eustace and Dr. Vindaloo, Shaggy and Dr. Vindaloo took the occasional tastes of the antidote.
"You know, it's not bad," Dr. Vindaloo said, enjoying the dog food.
"Like, yeah, Aunt Muriel outdid herself this time," Shaggy added, as he love the taste of the dog food as well.
"We Found her! We Found her!" Scooby and Courage suddenly said excitedly in unison barging into the room.
"Like, Where is she?" Shaggy asked, feeling a bit of relief they found his aunt.
"Across the hall," Courage answered, pointing.
Looking up, the group saw a sign that said the room next to it was a top-secret government facility.
"That's very funny. I never notice that," Dr, Vindaloo said amazed.
'Like, Neither have I," Shaggy replied also amazed that he never noticed that, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
"You both are in luck, though my extraordinary powers of deduction, I have found the antidote to the invisibility stone. Lousy stinking dog food," Dr. Vindaloo told Scooby and Courage before taking a bite of the food.
"Like, now we just have to get this to her," Shaggy said taking the antidote, and giving one last taste.
"To do so, one of us has to get invisible again," Dr. Vindaloo began.
Shaggy shook his head with fear, he didn't wanna be invisible again, "Like, not me this time, I already have my turn thank you."
"Beats eating dog food," Eustace cut in.
"But this time, without clothes," Dr. Vindaloo finished.
"WHAT!?" Eustace shouted in shock.
After a bit of negotiating, which ended up just Shaggy giving Eustace twenty bucks, they've made their way to get Muriel out of here, currently, Eustace was naked and invisible and Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were hiding in his hat, which was far larger than it looks on the outside. Filled with curiosity, Scooby couldn't help but peak outside of the hat as the farmer carried them. His eyes widened as he caught the sight of the guards.
"That look odd to you?" a security guard asked as they've passed him.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage tensed up in anticipation, have they been found out? They're froze, terrified, how would they not be?
"Uh, nope, uh-uh, nope," the other guard answered.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage then relaxed, they're lucky that one of the guards that seemed not too bright.
"Secret invisibility testing. Big deal," Eustace read before ignoring the sign. "Secret gold storage, works for me."
"Like, hey! We need to head for Aunt Muriel, not the gold," Shaggy hissed, reminding his uncle, peaking out from the hat.
"SHUT UP!" Eustace shouted before pushing his nephew back into his hat, after a few seconds, the trio heard him open a door. "Oh, gold, I'm rich! I'm rich!"
"Rome on guys," Scooby groaned in exasperation, as he and his friends exited his hat knowing Eustace wasn't going to help them anymore.
The cowardly trio, exited the room and got back to the hallway.
"Now we just need to get back to those signs," Courage whispered with apt seriousness.
"Like, I hope we don't run into-" Shaggy replied.
Before the cowardly teen could finish his sentence, the same three federal agents landed in front of frightened trio.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage froze, their hearts jumping into their throats
"The guards," Shaggy finished as he gulped.
"That's the invisible lady's dogs and kid, they know where the stone is," one of the agents said.
Courage let out a frightened shout.
"RUN!" Scooby screamed as he and his friends turned around and ran as fast as they've could away from them.
"And now they are running away," the agent said again.
Running down the hallway, the cowardly trio took many twists and turns to try and lose them, but we could not as they were constantly on their heels. After a few more turns, the three decided to enter Dr. Vindaloo's office and saw him holding the crystal, however the trio knew knew that the agents wouldn't even notice the stone and continue to chase the frightened trio. Seeing that they're trapped, the three friends decided to jump through the window to try and escape.
Once out, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage started to climb the fire escape ladder to get to the top, only to realize they've trapped themselves again.
"Like we're trapped!" Shaggy cried out anxiously.
"Rhat do we do!?" Scooby shouted, clearly in a panic as they're being cornered.
Seeing a skylight, on the other end of the building, Courage got an idea. "JUMP!"
Shaggy and Scooby were confused at first, before Courage jumped into the window, before the two get the idea and jumped after Courage as well, breaking through the glass, and falling about sixty feet to the ground. The three grunted in pain, feeling the blows from landing on the hard surface.
"Oh, boys," a voice of Muriel gasped in shock.
Looking up, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that they've finally reached Muriel.
Courage then threw the dog food onto Muriel, nothing happened immediately, they're afraid that it didn't work, but after a second, she turned visible again. This made the three relieved.
"Looks like you three brought my special recipe blue-ribbon dog food," Muriel said while standing up and wiping some of the food off her before leaning to whisper to the trio. "Don't show it to anyone official looking."
"Like, we won't Aunt Muriel," Shaggy said before hugging her.
The family then heard some shatter some more, thinking quickly, Shaggy and Scooby leaned into Muriel in fear, Shaggy grabbed a hat while Courage jumped on Scooby's head in fright while covering his face. And a second later, the federal agents landed next to them.
"I don't see any dogs, kid or invisible lady, perplexing," one agent said confused.
"I'll tell the general, You get the visible lady, the dog with a fur hat, and that kid with another hat that wasn't here before out of here," the agent told the other agents that began to escort them out of the room.
"Good riddance," Courage proclaimed as he buried the stone, the next day, where it will hopefully remain buried forever.
"So, I won the dog food contest after all, it just goes to show you boys, you always get what you deserve," Muriel told the trio as she held up her first-place ribbon.
"Mm-hmm," Courage agreed as he made sure the stone was completely buried.
"Like, you said it Aunt Muriel," Shaggy replied, grinning broadly.
"Reah," Scooby added, with a amused grin.
"It is with great pride, that I dedicate this great statue to our great nation," A federal agent declared as the tarp covering a statue was removed to reveal a gold statue of Eustace, at least, he is wearing his boxers still.
But despite being turned into gold, Eustace was surprisingly happy, as he laughed. "Ma, if you could see me now," he said with a chuckled.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage looked at each other, sharing a good laugh.
"Rustace got what he wanted," Scooby chuckled heartily.
"He wanted gold, now he is gold," Courage perked up, with a laugh and a smile.
Shaggy giggled and proclaimed, "Good one guys,"
"Reah," Scooby laughed, "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!"
