The family were in the living room watching the news, right now, it was showing the lottery, Muriel was sitting in her chair, with Courage on her lap, Shaggy and Scooby were eating snacks on the couch, while Eustace was in his chair holding a lottery ticket.
"The Nowhere lottery is bigger than ever," the reporter on the TV announced excitedly. "And we'll find out who wins, tomorrow!"
"Whoo-Hoo! That's going to be me! Me! Me! Me!" Eustace shouted in joy as he looked over his ticket which had the number 1,2,3,4,5.
I like, seriously doubt it. Shaggy bit back his response, he was just going to have endure one of Eustace's greedy episodes.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, Muriel went over to answer, while Shaggy, Scooby and Courage went over to see who was at the door.
When Muriel opened the door, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage froze, it was no ordinary guest. Their hearts jumped in their throats.
Re Ruack! Scooby recognized the French con-artist duck, who almost scammed the family a month ago.
"Bonjour, I am Le Quack," Le Quack introduced himself.
Courage's mind cleared in a heartbeat, leaving his body pulsing with strength and cold fury, he started straight in Le Quack's eyes. "You!" he growled, as he remember the duck who came over faking to be an amnesia specialist for Muriel, when she had amnesia a month ago.
"Hey, wait a second! Like, we remember you, you're that con artist duck who pretended to be an amnesia therapist, just so you could steal from us!" Shaggy accused, while pointing with his finger. His mind racing.
"Hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! Messieurs, you must have me mistaken for someone else. For you see, I make repairs to the television machines, I fix your television, oui?" Le Quack insisted, dismissing the cowardly teen's accusations.
"Sorry, but our television isn't broken," Muriel told the duck.
"Call me when- I mean, IF your television goes, uh... how do you say? "Kablooey," Le Quack said an ominous note crept into his voice, as he handed his card to Muriel.
"We don't want any!" Eustace snarled.
"Reah, so why don't you take your "TV repairman business" and scram?!" Scooby retorted, as the old grumpy farmer slammed the door into the con artist duck's face.
"Like, we would ever call a fowl like him for help," Shaggy murmured, as he crossed his arms.
"What a sham. First, he's a amnesia specialist, now he's a TV repairman? What's next? Is he gonna be our personal housekeeper or something?" Courage ranted, his paws flying in the air, he was beside himself.
Scooby responded his answer with a chuckle. "Rood one Rourage."
Courage couldn't help, but smiled at Scooby's response, Scooby always knows to how lightened the mood.
The family went over back to their seats to watch more TV, only to find it suddenly became static. Eustace got his tools to try and fix the TV.
"Maybe we should call that TV repair man," Muriel suggested.
"Aunt Muriel, like, that is not a good idea," Shaggy said to his aunt with a frown, not wanting the family to be hurt or scammed again.
"We don't need to pay no repair man!" Eustace insisted, stubbornly as he hit the television.
Thank goodness for the old farmer's stubbornness. Courage thought dryly.
Eustace then got to work, as he try to fix the TV, with his ranch.
"Eustace, I don't think you should be playing with-" Muriel warned, before being interrupted by her husband.
"I ain't playing!" Eustace hissed stubbornly.
"Uncle Eustace, your gonna cause a-" Shaggy warned, before rudely being dismissed by his uncle.
"Shut up Shaggy-haired-fella! I know exactly what I'm-" Eustace began, before there was an explosion behind the TV.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage hid behind Muriel, to take cover, the three peaked behind Muriel, to see that the TV, was battered.
"An explosion..." Shaggy finished disappointed.
Eustace got up and was covered with soot and a little banged up. "What did you do with that repair man's card?"
Shaggy couldn't believe it, "I was afraid this was gonna happened," he whined at little.
Scooby and Courage also shared the cowardly teen's worry, their stomachs felt as if their grip by nails, as they both let out whines.
Muriel had called Le Quack to come over and fix the TV, as he went over and got to work. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage peaked over to make sure the duck doesn't do anything suspicious.
"Whatcha' doing back here, dude?" Shaggy demanded boldly.
"Sacré bleu, do not sneak up on Le Quack like that! Can you nosey dogs and boy not see that he is a little busy with le television?" Le Quack angrily growl.
Scooby gritted his teeth, "Rusy trying to secretly con Ruriel and Rustace out of their hard-earned money with your shoddy work, I presume?" he muttered. Rell only Ruriel anyway.
"I cannot work like this! Shoo, shoo! Go, uh... how you say? Away!" Le Quack ordered, trying to get the meddling trio away from him.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage reluctantly went away out to the door, they had no chose but to obey the duck's demands.
"Okay, fine. We'll 'go away', but we've got our eyes on you, buster!" Courage warned, as he finger quote at the duck.
"Like, we don't know what it is you're up to this time, but we're gonna find out one way or another!" Shaggy snarled.
"Ruriel and Rustace may have forgotten all about what you did last time you were here, but we haven't!" Scooby challenged him, as he slammed the door.
But not, before Courage peeking to make sure the duck doesn't do anything he might regret, only to get poke in the eyes by Le Quack, instantly screeching as pain washed over him. "OW! You poked my eyes!" His eyes felt like they were on fire.
"No peeking!" Le Quack yelled, as he kicked the door onto Courage's face.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage decided to investigate Le Quack's truck to find some evidence and hopefully warned Muriel that this duck was bad news. Scooby and Courage were trying to sniffed out some clues.
"Like, did you find anything yet guys?" Shaggy asked. That duck dude is like up to something, I'm sure of it.
"Rot yet Raggy," Scooby replied, as he kept sniffing on the ground, there was no scent of something suspicious yet.
"Maybe we should check-OW!" Courage began, before feeling his nose being poked. Sharp pain stabbed his nose, and rubbed his nose. His nose felt like fury. "Ugh! What is with poking me tod-"
"Like, wait is that our antenna?" Shaggy interrupted Courage's complaint, fear gripping him.
Scooby and Courage looked down on the ground and saw the antenna lying the ground, the end of it looked like it had been cut.
Scooby's eyes stretched wide with horror, "Rit is our antenna!"
"Come on we have to warn Muriel!" Courage rapidly instructed, as he snatched the antenna and, he, Shaggy and Scooby ran to the house to warn Muriel.
"Muriel! We found our antenna laying in the ground!" Courage jumped up and down, as he Scooby and Shaggy went to the kitchen to warn Muriel.
"What a lovely stick," Muriel said, mistaking the antenna for a stick. "Eustace, why don't you go play fetch with the boys?" she asked, as Eustace walked over to the kitchen.
"I ain't playing no fetch with-" Eustace began, before realizing Courage was holding the antenna. "Wait a minute! That stick ain't no stick! It's half of our antenna!" he yelled as he grabbed to antenna from Courage's paws.
Shaggy flinched "Like, that's what he been trying to tell you, Le Quack is planning-"
"Stupid dogs and nephew broke the antenna!" Eustace growled, as he didn't listen to what his nephew had to say.
Eustace grabbed Courage by the scruff, grabbed Shaggy by the shirt and Scooby by the collar and kicked them out of the house, with them screaming. "And stay out!"
The cowardly trio were hiding behind the house and watched as Le Quack begin to leave in the truck, although they're relieved to see him go, they knew it was not over yet.
"Laugh all you want, you two-timing mallard, but we're going to foil whatever it is you got planned for us if it's the last thing we do!" Courage growled, watching Le Quack.
The cowardly trio, were behind the fence, discussing of what they're going to do about the antenna and Le Quack. Things were heating up quickly.
"Okay, dudes, let's think about this. Like, we know for a fact that Le Quack is obviously up to no good, right?" Shaggy pondered.
"Ruh-huh! Rand he probably was the one who snapped half of our antenna since we found it laying next to his truck," Scooby added.
Courage sat for a moment thinking, "Yes, but none of this makes any sense. If that duck is pretending to be a TV repairman like we know he is, then why would he break our antenna and fix our TV for?"
The trio shared a quiet moment as they thought over the events of today, before a voice came up to them. "Hello puppies and boy."
Scooby, Shaggy and Courage looked up and saw Eustace with unusual red eyes. It was as if he was under a spell. "Uncle Eustace/Eustace?/Rustace?"
"Let's play fetch," Eustace said with empty eyes, his voice sounded monotone.
"Like, since when does Uncle Eustace wanna play fetch?" Shaggy asked the two dogs.
Before either Courage or Scooby could reply, Eustace took off a piece of the fence and shoved it into Courage's mouth. Courage almost gagged at the bitter taste of the wood.
Scooby felt a cold chill run over him, causing his body to give a small involuntary shiver. Eustace eyes' were red and his face looked blank, as if he was under a trance. "Rustace, what are you doing?!" he begged for his mind to reveal it had been playing tricks on him.
But Eustace, didn't say anything, as he said before throwing Courage. "Good puppy."
"Courage!/Rourage!" Scooby and Shaggy screamed in unison, as they both ran over to help the pink beagle.
Courage thrashed with his paws trying to grasp some branch or rock, but there was nothing but a sheer empty drop beneath him, then he hit the water. Shaggy and Scooby went over just in time to see Courage splashed into the water.
Shaggy sighed in dismay, before turning to his best friend, "Scoob, get me a rope."
Shaggy and Scooby have manage to get Courage back up the cliff, while soak and wet, and headed back to the farmhouse. Courage kicked the door open and saw Eustace was in a weird purple body suit while Muriel had some make up and looking like a clown at a circus. And for some reason, she was juggling bowling pins.
"Le Quack wants lottery money, get lottery money for Le Quack," the TV demanded.
Looking over at it, the cowardly trio saw the face of Le Quack there for a moment before it vanished and all that was left was the red spiral.
"Zoinks! So, that's his plan, man! Like, he was only 'repairing' our TV, so he could use it to hypnotize Aunt Muriel and Uncle Eustace into doing his evil bidding!" Shaggy said in panic.
"RI knew that fowl feathered fraud hasn't changed one single bit!" Scooby growled, "Raking advantage of an innocent person's amnesia is one thing, but hypnotizing them is crossing the line!"
"I always knew TV would rot your brain, but this is just diabolical. We have to shut that thing off!" Courage told his friends.
"Like, I'm way ahead of you, little pink dude!" Shaggy said, as he found the remote and tried to turn it off. But it stayed on. "What the?! Hey, what gives?!"
"Rhy don't we try unplugging it instead?" Scooby shrugged, and went around and pulled the plug. Yet the television remained on. "Rell, that didn't work..."
"Hang on, I got this... " Courage growled before jumping on the TV and started biting it as if that would stop it. Only to painfully learn that it didn't when he stopped and nearly all his teeth fell out. "Great, now I got to get my teeth fixed... again!"
"WHY WON'T IT SHUT OFF?!" Shaggy screamed out.
Courage went up to it and picked it up and moved forward a outside, with Shaggy and Scooby behind him. Courage then tossed it up in the air a bit before quickly pulling out a baseball bat and hitting the television with it causing the TV to go flying off into the distance.
"Good thinking little pink dude, our troubles are over," Shaggy said with a relieved grin, hoping that this would break the trance his aunt and uncle were in.
Scooby heard Eustace's truck turn on. he quickly looked over to where it is and saw that Muriel and Eustace were already in it. He sweat dropped, as he pulled onto his owner's shirt. "Ruhh, Raggy."
Courage and Shaggy turned around and saw Muriel and Eustace driving away.
"WAIT!" Courage cried, as he went to stop the truck, but it drove away.
"Oh man, now what do we do?" Shaggy mourned.
Courage came up with a sudden idea and said to his friends, "Come with me!"
Shaggy and Scooby glanced sideways at each other and shrugged their shoulders, not knowing what Courage had in mind. They both then followed their friend.
"RANG-GLIDING?! RHAT'S YOUR IDEA!?" Scooby shrieked out loud to Courage.
The cowardly trio were on the rooftop and had a giant hang-glider that was enough for all three of them
"Hey, it was all I got!" Courage insisted.
"Like, are you sure about this?!" Shaggy asked nervously, as he glances the ground, making nausea rise in his throat.
"No! Let's go!" Courage exclaimed, he was not sure about hand-gliding, but he knew was the only way to catch up to his hypnotized owners.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage hang on tight to the hang-glider and leap off the roof.
"Rait, does anybody know how to fly this thing?!" Scooby cried out, as he thought about one flaw in Courage's plan.
Courage's face went pale in realization, as he, Shaggy and Scooby give a little scream as they headed near the windmill. The windmill caught the hang-glider and spin and the three friends around. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage flung off of the windmill and hang-glider and flew all the way to the lottery building and crashed through the ceiling of the window and landed on the bag full of money.
Courage sat up dizzily, his head was spinning from the crazy travel, "Guys, next time if I had a crazy idea like that, talk me out of it."
"Will do/Rill do," Shaggy and Scooby mange to mumbled, also dizzy from the fall.
A few minutes later, the trio heard someone coming into the room.
"Like, someone's coming," Shaggy exclaimed softly, with edge in his voice.
"Hide!" Courage quickly said, as he Shaggy and Scooby duck under the piles of money.
Courage shushed his friends to keep quiet, while hoping for the best.
"Must be slick, must be smooth, must be slippery," Eustace said in a hypnotic tone, as he grabbed the bag money and headed out the room.
Courage peaked his head out of the bag to get a better look and saw the security alarm lever, he used his tongue, and pulled the lever down, Shaggy and Scooby's eyes widened. Was Courage really planning to get Eustace arrested?
"Little pink dude, have you gone crazy?!" Shaggy asked, just barely keeping his voice quiet enough not to be heard.
"Re you trying to get Ruriel and Rustace in trouble?!" Scooby sharply whispered at the pink beagle.
"Guys, relax! I know exactly what I'm doing!" Courage replied in a quiet voice.
Getting into the truck, Eustace, along with Muriel, are on their way to give the lottery money to the con artist duck.
"Well, howdy owdy odey oh," Muriel said in an almost creepily happy tone.
The three friends were still in the bag, discussing on how they're gonna get the the police to follow them.
"Like, how are we gonna lead the police?" Shaggy muttered rather frantically.
Scooby stood there, thinking for a while. How could they get them to lead the police? Then an thought hit him, "RI got an idea," he carefully poked his head out and saw that the hypnotized Muriel and Eustace were both distracted. "Ruys, started throwing money out the window."
Courage and Shaggy did, as they're told and the three started to throw money out the window, to hopefully catch the attention of the police.
"I hope this works," Courage muttered under his breath.
After a long drive, the hypnotized couple finally reached their destination, Eustace stopped the truck with him and Muriel getting out of the truck while carrying the bag of money, unaware that Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were still in it. A few moments later, they reached a door where Le Quack is probably behind.
"Bon Jour! Le big bucks," the voice of Le Quack said happily.
Eustace give Le Quack the bag who then dropped it to the floor before laughing evilly while rubbing his wings together.
"Qu'est-ce que c'est?" he suddenly asked confused when Courage suddenly threw up a dollar bill.
Le Quack then opened the bag to discover Shaggy, Scooby and Courage in there, giving nervous smiles. And there was no money in the bag left.
"Uh, hello?" Courage chuckled nervously, as he wave when Le Quack stared him down.
"You pesky dogs and boy, I thought I got rid of you all!" Le Quack snapped before reaching in and strangling Courage, "What have you three done with le money?!"
Courage tried to scream but all that came out was a choking cough, head pounding and lungs screaming for air, he could only use his fingers and Le Quack got blinded when Courage poked both his eyes, he recoiled in pain while letting go off Courage. "Ouch! Ooh-la-la!"
"RUN!" Shaggy shouted at his friends.
The cowardly trio then took off running to the hallway, while Le Quack growled in annoyance, and went after the three friends.
"Ruick, in here!" Scooby cried out, as he was pointing to a room filled with televisions.
Nodding, Shaggy and Courage followed Scooby and quickly entered the room and hid behind one of the larger televisions.
"I have you now, you dirty dogs and boy!" Le Quack said as he entered the room and started to look for the hiding trio.
"Like, that's what you think, duck dude!" Shaggy shouted to the duck thief.
Courage then leaned in and turned on the television, it was static for a moment but quickly went to a channel then the archers on screen shot some arrows. But instead of staying in the television, they came out and nearly hit Le Quack, but it missed as he managed to hide behind another television.
He turned on his television and, on the screen, appeared warships they've have not seen before that were firing. A canon ball came out of the screen and towards the trio. Scooby pushed Courage down just in time as the canon ball skid the top of their heads and passed by harmlessly. This went on for a few more moments, with both sides just changing channels with different weapons coming out at the screen and towards each other.
Le Quack, then changed channels to one that had military soldiers on screen wielding a rocket launcher.
Scooby reached around and changed channels, a submarine appeared on screen which fired a torpedo which came off screen and at Le Quack who managed to dodge it.
Le Quack changed to another channel with a hydra shooting fire, had the trio not been scared, the three would have realized that they've have seen that hydra before in New York.
The cowardly trio ducked, to avoid the fire that the hydra shot at them.
Shaggy reached around and changed channel, this time, instead of something dangerous, a policeman was on screen with a pie in his hand. He then threw the pie which came of screen and managed to hit Le Quack in the face.
"How annoying," Le Quack stated with the pie covering his face.
Scooby went over to the duck, and started to lick his face, "Rum, rhubarb pie!"
"Stop that, you disgusting mutt!" Le Quack demanded, as he shove the Great Dane off, only to be left staring at a giant stick of dynamite on his face with its fuse lit. "Uh-oh..."
"ZOINKS! DYNAMITE! LIKE, TAKE COVER, DUDES!" Shaggy cried out.
Shaggy grabbed Scooby by the collar, and pushed the Great Dane and Courage behind some more televisions as the fuse reached the dynamite, and braced themselves.
BOOM!
Everything hurt from that explosion. Shaggy, rubbed the stars out of his eyes that came when a broken television hit his head, he looked around and saw that everything was destroyed. Looking towards Le Quack, he saw that he was sitting right where he was with an annoyed look on his face. His feathers pitch black from soot. Turning a bit to the left, Shaggy saw that Courage was in the television they're were hiding behind earlier with a dazed look on his face.
"Rare you okay Raggy?" Scooby asked.
Looking up, Shaggy saw his paw held out to help him, grabbing it, Scooby helped his owner up.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Scoob," Shaggy said weakly.
All of sudden two officers came into the room.
"Oh ho, Le Quack, so we got you at last," the officer with a mustache said as his partner placer cuffs on Le Quack.
They then started to leave but stopped and turned to the daze trio.
"Good job, dogs and son," the officer said before leaving.
Shaggy and Scooby just nodded while Courage laughed his voice raspy and his head was pounding.
The family were back at the Farmhouse, it was nighttime and Shaggy had just finished the tea that Muriel made for him, and took his place on the couch next to Scooby and Courage. Muriel was sitting on her rocking chair and Eustace was waiting for the announcement of who won the lottery on the television.
"And the winner of the Nowhere lottery is number 1,2,3,4,5," the reporter announced.
"Huh? Hee, Hee, Hee. I'm rich! Ha, Ha. I'm rich! I'm rich! I'm rich!" Eustace shouted with joy, but before he could continue, the reporter spoke up again.
"Unfortunately, due to a burglary earlier today, the lottery is down to," the reporter said while he reached into his pocket and pulled out some change. "Seventeen cents."
Eustace yelled out in anger, he then picked up the television and walked to the back of the house and opened the back door where he proceeds to kick it away from the house in anger. "ROTTEN TV!"
"Rell, there goes our TV... again," Scooby said exhaustedly.
"Like, after what just happened today, I think we've all had enough TV for one day, don'tcha think?" Shaggy replied with a shrug, having enough with today.
"Eh, you're probably right, Shaggy. Besides, there was nothing even good on anyway," Courage sighed, also tried from today's adventure.
