It was laundry day at the farm, and Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were helping Muriel ironing some clothes. Though, it would be a lot faster if Eustace would help, but he is just sitting on his chair watching the television.

"Ahoy there, maties. You tired of doing the same old chores around the house?" the man on the television asked.

"Like, that's pretty accurate," Shaggy commented, curiously.

"Reah," Scooby remarked.

"Eustace, he's talking to me," Muriel said, as she stopped ironing to watch the man.

"Why would he do that?" Eustace asked.

"Then join me on a seafaring adventure. I promise never a dull moment. And there's always a catch," the man said as he moved to show his boat.

"Now that sounds exciting," Muriel said as she resumed ironing.

"Like, I hope there's food on that trip," Shaggy exclaimed, his mouth watering.

"Re too," Scooby said excitedly, licking his lips.

"I don't know if I wanna go," Courage muttered, he remember when he went on a cruise, he got seasick, the thought of it made him revolt. He was holding the shirt that Muriel was ironing and saw that the iron burned through it. the pink beagle then quietly and quickly folded it away.

Shaggy put his hand on Courage's nervous back, "Come on little pink guy, it's not like a cruise, you'll be fine."

"Rhere's just one problem. Rustace won't wanna pay for it," Scooby pointed out, his expression growing into a frown.

"Aw man," Shaggy whined, feeling his heart sinking that his greedy uncle won't pay for a fun trip.

"And the trip is free, for the first five passengers," the man on the television said before it changed back to the program the family were watching.

"We'll take it," Eustace shouted when he heard it was free.

Scooby and Shaggy cheered and high-five each other, while Courage bit his lip apprehensively. On one paw he did not want to get seasick again after that Katz fiasco, on the other paw a boat was different from a ship and he certainly does enjoy going on trips with Muriel, Shaggy and Scooby and they're just on a boat trip for a few days, what's the worst that can happen? I guess one trip wouldn't hurt...

It was a bit of a trip but the family made it to the location where the seafaring adventure was, getting onto the boat, there was a few things that the captain had to do before they could set sail. But after a half hour, they set sail and could enjoy this trip.

"Aye, lubbers, I'm Sharky, your captain, good to have you all aboard," the captain said as he handed each of the family a coconut with a straw in it.

Scooby, Shaggy and Courage were now relaxing on the deck chairs with a sun reflector for tanning purposes.

"Man, I could get used to this. How about you, fellas?" Shaggy asked while giggling.

"Reah, it's the best," Scooby replied, smiling at Shaggy.

"You said it Shaggy," Courage said with a smile.

"Lubbers," Muriel giggled excitedly, she always like learning new things especially when it came to the sea.

"Aye, I can just smell those fish just begging for me, mate," Sharky said as he handed Muriel her drink. He then turned around to head to the helm. "Time to ship out."

"Ship out, thrilling. And the way he says aye, that just tickles me, aye. I can't wait to land me a big one," Muriel said smiling before turning to Eustace. "How about you Eustace?"

But her husband didn't reply, as he was already asleep in his chair.

It was two hours since the trip began, Eustace was still asleep, Shaggy and Scooby were eating lunch, Courage was taking a nap on Shaggy's lap while Muriel was cheerfully telling her nephew a story of her childhood in Scotland, she even said she was going to teach her nephew how to sew the secret family quilt. Hearing some steps coming towards them, the family saw the captain walking towards them.

"Aye, me maties, the winds right, the salt is calling and the party is over," Sharky told the family.

"What? Huh?" Eustace asked waking up as did Courage.

Courage sleepily opened his eyes, "What's happening?"

"Like, what do you mean?" Shaggy spoke up a bit anxiously.

Instead of answering, the captain reached down and pulled off his boot which a sharp peg leg came out, he then pulled down his eye patch from his hat, next, he ripped his shirt apart to reveal a shark tattoo on his chest and then pulled out his teeth which turned out to be false teeth, and finally, he 'unscrewed' his right arm and replaced it with a hook. The captain growled after all that was done.

"ZOINKS!" Shaggy screamed, as Scooby jumped into his owner's arms, with teeth chattering.

Courage stood up alarmed and let out a terrified howl and leapt to Muriel's lap in fear.

"Okay, lubbers, here's how it shakes out, you're me crew," Sharky told the family.

Scooby blinked at the captain, "R-R-Rour crew?"

"Aye, me crew," Sharky told him, before turning to Eustace, "You, baldy, you're me engineer."

"Hey, this ain't what we signed up for, I want me money back," Eustace demanded.

"You didn't spend any money, trip's free," the captain reminded him.

"Oh, right. Well... Where's the catch you promised?" Eustace asked, a bit hesitant.

"Ay, the catch is, you're either working as me crew or I'll be using you as anchor," Sharky threatened before tossing a wrench to Eustace.

"And you, you're will be in charge of the grub," Sharky told the old woman, as he gave Muriel a ladle.

"How exciting, I'm making the grub. Grub, I love saying grub. Grub, grub, grub," Muriel said happily, not fully understanding what is happening.

"And you three jellyfish, get ready to grow some teeth, shape up real quick, cause the three of you are me first mates, and don't ya be daring to correct me on how that works, got that?" the captain told the frightened trio before growling.

"Yes captain!/Res captain!" Scooby and Shaggy yelped in unison and jumped back, before saluting.

Seeing as Courage didn't answer yet, Sharky grab Courage in his teeth and started shaking him around like a toy and making him seasick. He eventually spit him out.

"You got that?" Sharky asked again.

"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mmm-hmm," Courage exclaimed, staggering to get up on his paws.

"The three of you climb up there and watch for the bend in the river," He ordered the trio, to which which did so quickly and without arguing.

It was quiet since then with the only noise coming from the river itself and the engine of the boat, using the telescope that Courage gave Scooby.

"Like, that's the last time I believe something on TV," Shaggy whined miserably.

"Re too," Scooby muttered.

I wish I could of seen the red flags, before we gotten on this trip, I'm sorry guys. Courage said to himself, his thoughts were interrupted a huge eye glared back at him. Courage squealed and leaped backward, but it turns out it was a pelican. The pelican blew a raspberry at him. Resentment rose like bile in Courage's throat and he then repeated what the pelican did, but the pelican retaliated by pecking him with its beak like a jackhammer, pain launched out on Courage's nose. "OW!" he screeched in agony.

"Stupid bird!" Courage exclaimed in annoyance.

"Ret out of here," Scooby protested as he successfully managed to hit it with his telescope.

The pelican laughed in a daze as it flew away from them unsteadily.

"Like, are you okay little dog dude?" Shaggy asked the pink beagle.

Courage rubbed his nose, trying to ignore the pain that throbbed his nose, "Yeah," he sighed with annoyance, "I hate birds."

"Well, at least things can get any worse," Shaggy tried to cheer up Courage with a grin.

Scooby then spotted something that made his heart leap into his throat. "RIKES!"

"Like, what is it Scooby-Doo?" Shaggy asked, his Great Dane urgently.

"Ra-Ra-Ra-Ra-Ra-Ra," Scooby stammered, while pointing with this paw trembling.

"Scooby, what?" Courage asked, Scooby's eye widened with an expression of horror was suddenly making him very nervous. What was Scooby seeing?

"RATERFALL!" Scooby finally screamed out.

Then Shaggy and Courage realized that they both could hear a steady roaring sound. They both turned around and froze in horror. Indeed they're heading straight towards a WATERFALL.

"WATERFALL!" Shaggy and Courage screamed out in fear unison.

Shaggy started ringing the bell to alert the others. "Mayday! Mayday! We're heading towards a waterfall!" he screamed out loud for everyone to hear.

Scooby and Courage found themselves involuntarily griped the edge of the lookout as tightly as they could, the dogs looked at one another, their eyes widened with fear. Shaggy give up and joined his friends as well, realizing they're all powerless to stop the boat.

"HOLD ON!" Courage screamed, all he could do was frightfully snap his eyes shut. His heart thumped so hard he thought it was going to burst right out of his chest.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all screamed as the boat reached the waterfall and fell down, the waterfall being a lot bigger than they originally thought. All the while, the three friends were holding onto the ship's pole as tight as they could.

The pelican laugh as it flew next to them easily despite how fast they were falling down. The captain scream, as he was at the front of the ship.

Like, he's crazy. Shaggy thought as the three saw him embracing the fall with open arms.

Soon, the boat crashed into the river below them and submerged. Filling the three friends' mouths with water, the water was red all around the trio, the water churned and roiled and roared with bubbles and foam. A few seconds later the boat came back up and started to cruise down the river again. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gasped for air, gagging and choking.

The pelican laughed at the three again.

"Ra ha ha, very funny," Scooby replied to the pelican sarcastically, while coughing the water out of his lungs.

It was now nighttime, the moon has fully risen and was their only light source now. Muriel was playing the sitar at the back of the ship while Eustace rested in the hammock he put together, Courage, Shaggy and Scooby were in the front of the ship. Courage was in the fisher's seat fishing, Scooby and Shaggy were on the lookout for whatever the captain is hunting.

"None of you can catch what we're gonna catch without being brave," the captain told the trio as he walked up to them "Aye, the sea can turn boys into men and men into salty men."

Scooby, Shaggy and Courage nodded, meekly.

"Rhat exactly are we catching?" Scooby asked, his tail twitching nervously.

"Aye, it's about time for you all to know I suppose, here to catch Carmen," the captain answered as he from somewhere, pulled down a poster of a giant red serpent with a single eye and many sharp teeth.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage give out whines of terror.

"Zoinks," Shaggy trembled.

The cowardly trio were still in their spots from earlier, though, Shaggy and Scooby did get some chairs to sit down so they didn't have to stand the whole time. So far, they've haven't found any trace of Carmen yet, but the trio knew that they're going to meet her soon enough, they're getting paranoid more by the minute.

Courage then saw that something big has caught the line and was now dragging him by the line, fear freeze him, as he give out a scream of terror, "HELP!"

"We got you little pink dude!" Shaggy screeched, as he and Scooby grabbed him by the torso.

"Hold on tight," the captain demanded as he ran up to the trio.

"Relp us!" Scooby howled.

"What? Ya think I'm crazy?" Sharky asked before bringing out a whistle and blowing into it, Muriel and Eustace appeared a moment later. "Help me first mates hang onto the line."

Eustace screamed as he held onto Muriel's feet.

"This is so authentic," Muriel said giggling, as she held onto Shaggy, who held onto Scooby and the cowardly Great Dane held onto Courage who was holding onto the fishing rod still.

"THIS IS CRAZY!" Shaggy screamed.

"ROLD ON!" Scooby screamed to Courage.

"OBVIOUSLY!" Courage shouted back at his friend, as if stating the obvious was the least of his concerns.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage held on for dear life, their teeth chattering and their faces turning pale from fright. The captain makes the ship stop suddenly to try and tire out whatever was pulling them. Unfortunately, while Eustace had a firm grip on the railing, the rod broke.

"Men, lady and dogs overboard!" Shaggy screamed, before all of them to fall into the water.

Underwater, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage manage to caught their breaths just in time before they ended up drowning earlier than they wanted. Their first immediate thoughts was to resurface and get to safety, and fast.

They're about to swim to the surface, but felt something coming towards the three, a feeling of terror came over the cowardly trio, a deep chill in their bones, they had the idea that someone or something was watching them. Looking around, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw CARMEN, the GIANT serpent heading towards them, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage's hearts stopped.

The cowardly trio screamed in terror, before the three swam as fast as they can to the surface, kicking with all their might. Getting there, Courage grabbed Muriel and Eustace as, he Shaggy and Scooby swam back to the ship, quickening their pace. Once there, Courage simply threw Muriel, Eustace, Shaggy and Scooby him onto the deck, he then climbed up himself.

"That was so thrilling, hedding dragged under water and thrown onto the deck, like a fresh caught flounder. I'm going to the gallery to whip up some brine muffins," Muriel said as she got up and went back to the kitchen.

"L-L-Like, thanks little pink dude," Shaggy stammered, trembling from fear. He was still shaken by what he saw in the water.

"No problem," Courage shook himself dry, he still terrified himself, "That was the biggest serpent I ever seen in my life."

"Ro you think he's gone?" Scooby asked, fear of the serpent lurking in the water surged up inside him so much that he almost wanted to vomit.

Before, either Shaggy or Courage could answer, Carmen went under the ship and started to play with it as if it was toy ride. Shaggy, Scooby and Courage who now could do little more than hang on for dear life, they huddled together, giving each other comfort. The serpent flung the boat away, it then went away by diving into the water.

"No," Courage swallowed hard, feeling a sense of sudden urgency.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were stunned and terrified from the ride the serpent gave them.

"The engines gone, it's do or die now maties, we have to get that serpent before she gets us," Sharky answered before jumping down to the deck.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gulped in fear, at the thought of Carmen getting them and devouring them all.

"What, we be out of bait? We need to change the strategy. Use a lure, something big and round and chewy... and an appetizer," the captain said as he began to think about what they could use.

"Mr. Sharky captain, sir, do we have some more brine for my muffins?" Muriel asked walking up to him.

"Big and round and chewy," the captain said as he looked Muriel up and down.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage glanced at the elderly woman, panic rushing in them.

"That's how I always make my muffins," Muriel said, not knowing what he meant.

Sharky's eyes swiveled to Shaggy, Shaggy's heart started to pound as he stared at the captain.

"And you boy, you will be the perfect appetizer, as well," the captain added, as he pointed at Shaggy.

Shaggy started at him, fear showing in his eyes, "M-M-M-Me?!" he choked out in terror. "No way!"

Courage and Scooby stared in panic at the frightened teen, was that captain really planning on using Muriel and Shaggy as bait?

"NO!" Courage shouted, running up to the captain.

"Rou can't do that!" Scooby pleaded, also running up to the captain. Relma, Raphne and Red using me and Raggy as bait is one thing. Rut a ruthless captain using my Raggy and Ruriel as bait for his selfish reasons is another!

"HEY! Don't be looking at me wife and me nephew like they're bait," Eustace demanded.

"I'd split me booty with you, I'm getting a fortune to bring in Carmen," the captain bribed.

"So, this bait thing, it's safe right?" Eustace asked, taken by the greed and money.

"Aye," captain confirmed.

"No don't use Muriel and Shaggy!" Courage begged.

Poor Shaggy slowly backed away, terrified by the captain's plan. He trembled and whimpered with fear, his heart beating wildly.

Scooby gulped hard, but he knew he had to protect his best friend from that crazy captain, "Rou're not using my best friend as bait!" he growled, his protecting instincts kicking in.

"Drag me scurvy former first mates up there. And tie them and the one of the bait up so they won't get in the way, and the bait running away," the captain ordered Eustace who smiled.

Scooby was awash by fear by the captain's command, he, Shaggy and Courage knew they're no matches for a greedy captain and a greedy farmer. Much to their shared distress, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage found themselves standing back.

Scooby and Courage were tied up and up in the crow's nest.

"Rhis is bad, Rourage what do we do!?" Scooby cried out, frightened for his owner.

"We better think of something or my name is One Eyed Willy and it's not," Courage replied, just as scared for their owners.

Down on the deck, Shaggy was tied up and in a cage with Muriel.

"Now Carmen likes opera she does, so play her these tunes and it will attract her, when she gets close enough, grab it with these giant serpent tongs," the captain told them while handing Muriel some tongs.

"Opera, tongs, thrilling, adventure," Muriel said giggling.

"Like, can't we talk this over?" Shaggy bargain, however it look like it had no effect, as Sharky kept staring coldly at him, clearly not changing his mind. "Or could have I least have a last meal?"

"You sure it's safe now?" Eustace asked, as he examined the cage.

Shaggy kept his gaze fixed on Eustace and the captain. He has to let us go! Like, we would be sea food if they do this!

"Solid as the sea is wet," the captain give a thumbs up to the farmer.

Shaggy momentary hope for a way out melted away, when clearly the captain wouldn't change his mind, regardless of his uncle's opinions. "Like, this doesn't feel safe," Shaggy fearfully pointed out, sure he and Scooby were the bait a couple times by Mystery Inc, but never this life, threatening. "I think I like it better when Fred, Daphne and Velma us me and Scoob as bait!"

The captain ignore the cowardly teen as he began to turn a crank so that that cage could lift.

"Don't worry dear, it will be fun," Muriel said to her terrified nephew not knowing the danger they were in. "This is so exciting, coming face-ta-face with creatures of the briny deep swimming with-" she was got cut off, as she was submerged by the water.

"HEL-" Shaggy try to cried out, before being cut off, by being submerged in the water as well.

Back in the crow's nest Scooby and Courage try to think of a plan to get out of the ropes and save their owners.

The pelican who was here earlier came back and laughed at their misfortune again.

"Roh, you again," Scooby groaned with a heavy sigh, not having time for this.

Suddenly, an idea formed in Courage's mind, maybe they could get out of their ropes. "Wait, Scoob! I have an idea," he barked, before blowing a raspberry at him and immediately the pelican beaked at him once again, with his beck, this time on Courage's ropes, pain stabbed him as the beak met his neck, but he kept himself still.

Meanwhile underwater, Muriel was waiting for the serpent, while Shaggy was terror stricken darting forth and back uselessly ramming a the cage, holding his breath, he needed to find air. And the blood drained from his face when he saw the serpent was on it's way to catch it's prey.

ZOINKS! Shaggy screamed in his mind.

Back in the crow's nest The pelican was still pecking at Courage's ropes, to get them lose.

"Rurry! Rurry!" Scooby gasped in panic, at the pelican.

The serpent was now near the cage, as Muriel tried to grab her with the tongs the captain give her, but it was entirely futile.

Scooby-Doo! Where are you!? Shaggy thought frantically.

Back at the crow's nest by the time Courage was free, but the pelican still peck at him, and free Scooby. The two looked down in time, just to see the captain was craning holding the cage before it broke and was flung out from the water and the EMPTY cage landed on the ship as well.

"MURIEL!" Courage cried out in horror.

"RAGGY!" Scooby cried out, staring at the wrecked cage in horror. He turned to Courage. "Rourage, what are we going to do?!"

"Come on!" Courage ordered as he took out some diving gear for him and Scooby.

Scooby immediately put on diving gear that the pink beagle gave him. A few seconds later, the duo were all set, moving to the edge, they both jumped over to dive into the water. But Scooby and Courage hit a giant rock so hard that they both shouted in agony while the pelican laugh at them.

"Roo, shoo!" Scooby shouted with annoyance as he shooed him away, while the pelican dodged before laughing some more and leaving.

"Birds," Courage grunted, as he rolled his eyes, before he and Scooby dived into the water.

Swimming as deep as Scooby and Courage could, the dog pair began to look around to see if we could find any trace of Muriel or Shaggy, but they could not find any. The two were about to split up but Courage soon found the tongs the captain gave Muriel, as they approached where they were and began to look around, the two started to hear opera. Feeling a tap on his shoulder, Scooby turned to Courage and saw him point to a hole in a giant rock formation.

Swimming towards it, the opera music started to get higher in volume, despite the two dogs being underwater. Entering the hole, the both swam for a few more minutes and eventually reached a dead end. Swimming to the top, Scooby and Courage looked around and couldn't believe what they saw. Muriel and Shaggy were both sitting on a dry patch of land, looking closer, the two dogs saw that Carmen was singing.

"Oh, there you two are," Muriel said when she spotted the two dogs.

"Raggy, Ruriel are you okay?" Scooby asked, as he and Courage got out of the water. He was relived that they're here in a flesh and not in a serpent's stomach. But he wanted to make sure that they're not prisoners also.

"Like, we're okay dudes, Carmen is like, so bad after all, she like, just wanted an audience for her beautiful voice," Shaggy answered in please relief. After he and Muriel got taken by Carmen, he thought he and Muriel were gonna get eaten for sure. But it turns out that she was friendly for a sea monster, much to his big relief.

"What an adventure," Muriel sighed, as Courage sat down on her lap.

Courage felt pleased that nothing happened to Muriel and Shaggy, they're safe and not harmed.

"RI'm glad your okay Raggy," Scooby said, as he came up to his owner and hugged him.

Shaggy responded, by giving a scratch behind his ears. But their relief was short lived, when the captain suddenly appeared from underwater.

Courage screamed while pointing at the captain.

"Zoinks! It's the captain!" Shaggy shouted with worry.

The captain then swam closer to Carmen, once close enough, he then jumped towards her. Acting quickly, Courage jumped towards Carmen and pushed her out of the way in time for the captain to miss, he then landed on Muriel's lap.

"Oh, captain, you salty sailor you," Muriel said, giggling.

The captain ignored her and got off her lap, he then placed a giant gloved fist on his leg. He then activated which made it shot out which hit Shaggy, Scooby and Courage and sent them flying back and plummeting into the water, he follow up by trying to hit the trio again.

The trio managed to get out of the water, before Courage jumped onto the captain before taking out a pie and tossing it into his face. As he was cleaning his face, Carmen finished her song with a higher note that caused stalagmites to fall down.

"Oh," the captain exclaimed when the stalagmites fell down and formed a makeshift prison.

The family burst into a cheer and rousing applause for Carmen's beautiful performance.

"Pathetic piece of plankton," the captain insulted.

The family were going down the river with Carmen pulling the ship, the captain was in the back hanging upside down from his peg leg. Right now, the family were in the front of the ship resting on some chairs.

"That was the most thrilling adventure of my life, it was all so authentic. I just hope Eustace gets home okay, wherever he is," Muriel said, looking worried for Eustace.

Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw the clothes that were lying down on the deck. Upon looking at the humorous scene, trio looked at each other and shared a good laugh.

"Like Wherever he is I hope he has the courage to find his way home in the buff," Shaggy laughed.

"Yeah/Reah," Scooby and Courage both chuckled heartily.

"Scooby-Dooby-Doo!" Scooby shouted.
