At the farmhouse, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were sitting on the couch playing a video game.
"Oh, watch out! Yahoo! Like, got him!" Shaggy cheered, blasting an alien in the video game.
"Row here comes the next wave! Ram! Reat it! Rot them all!" Scooby shouted and laughing, "RI just beat Raggy's high score!"
"We'll see about that Scoob!" Shaggy said, in determination.
"How are you supposed to move this ship?" Courage asked, getting anxious with the controller.
But the pink beagle screamed in terror at hearing the door hit the wall by Eustace, scaring him and making him jump to Scooby's head in fear.
"Like, Uncle dude, ever heard of-" Shaggy yelled but was cut off by his uncle.
"Shut up," Eustace said as he rushed to the closed turn off the game and TV, much to Shaggy and Scooby's dismay. Eustace pulled out an old record player, he then moved it next to his chair and pulled out a record from his hat.
Sliding off the cover, Eustace placed it on the record player and turned it on.
"Huh?" Courage asked with confusion, as the music started to play.
"Like, I never heard this type of music before," Shaggy frowned with confusion, as he tried to recall ever hearing it, but came up short.
"Re either," Scooby added, also didn't recognized the music.
"Ah, now this is what I call music you three, nothing like that stupid rock and roll you Shaggy-haired-fella listen or sing," Eustace said smiling as he sat down in his chair.
Courage frowned, covering his ears, while sticking his tongue out.
"Like, at least it's not King Ramses' song," Shaggy stated, as he covered his ears, as he remembered the ghost, who came over with three plagues two months ago.
"Or the Gerbil's word song," Courage added rolling his eyes, as he also remembered another annoying song a month ago, when he and Scooby have to save Shaggy, Muriel and Eustace from Dr. Gerbil.
"Rey! RI happen to like that song!" Scooby said firmly. "Rit's the Gerbil's-"
"Scooby!" Shaggy and Courage cried in unison sharply glaring at Scooby, not wanting to hear the song right now.
"Rorry," Scooby muttered with cringe.
"Muriel, come listen to my new Velvet Vic record!" Eustace shouted out to her.
"Be there in a blink, just cutting off the crusts off these sandwiches!" Muriel replied followed by the sounds of a knife hitting a cutting board.
"Like, sandwiches should make my ears feels better," Shaggy said, still covering his ears.
"RI hope so," Scooby agreed, also covering his ears.
"Got to find just the right spot," Eustace said as he lifted his chair and brought it closer to the record player. "Oh."
Suddenly, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw a smiling 'ghost' come out of the record player, they couldn't believe what they're seeing.
"Zoinks!" Shaggy yelled, his eyes widened in surprise and fear.
"Rikes!" Scooby trembled, his eyes also widened in fear.
Courage just screamed in terror, his fur rising up. The cowardly pink beagle then dove to the record player and moved the needle away.
"Dragsville," the ghost said as he went back into the record player.
"HUH? STUPID DOG! Keep your record-stopping music paws off me music!" Eustace shouted angrily.
Courage then began to try and warn Eustace. "There's a-There's a-" he stammered out, trying to put the words together.
But Eustace wasn't having it, the old farmer grabbed Courage by the ears and kicked him out of the house.
Looking to each other, Shaggy and Scooby both got up and went outside to join Courage, and both found him on the ground.
"Like, are you okay little pink dude?" Shaggy asked, feeling worried.
"Yeah, but-oh no!" Courage gasped, he suddenly got up and went to the window, with Scooby and Shaggy following him.
"Rhat was that ghost?" Scooby asked, worriedly and unease as he spoke Shaggy's fear that the record player that Eustace got might be haunted.
Courage gulped nervously, "I have no idea, but it can't be good."
Looking back inside, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw Eustace put the needle back on the record, the music instantly started playing with the ghost coming back out a moment later.
Fully this time as it left the record player. Following it, the trio saw that it floated to the piano, the ghost then seemingly became a living person and started to play the piano exactly like the music that was coming from the record player.
Courage screamed with the top part of his head ripping off from the rest of his body for a moment.
"Zoinks!" Shaggy yelped.
"Rhe record is haunted!" Scooby screamed in horror.
"What's huh? Who the heck are you?" Eustace shouted at the person from inside.
"Groovy-o, Daddy-o," the person answered while looking back at Eustace yet not stopping in playing the piano.
"Oh, it's Velvet Vic," Eustace said surprised.
"Velvet Vic?/Relvet Ric?" Shaggy, Scooby Courage repeated in unison as the three exchanged a bewildered glance.
At that moment, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage heard the kitchen door open and Muriel came out a moment later holding a tray full of sandwiches.
"Hey, Muriel, looky who's here." Eustace told her.
Muriel turned to Velvet Vic who winked at her.
"How lovely," Muriel said unfazed by everything.
"Rhat can't be good," Scooby barked with alarm.
"How do you do, Mr. Velvet?" Muriel asked.
"Swingin," Velvet answered while continuously playing the piano.
"Lovely, please help yourself to a sandwich,"Muriel told him while moving to the record player and placed the tray next to it. She then turned and headed to the kitchen. "I'll go get some tea."
"Head cheese and onion sandwiches are my favorites," Eustace said as he grabbed two of them.
Shaggy frowned, "Like, I want some."
"Re too," Scooby implored.
"Guys, not the time!" Courage scolded.
Shaggy give a pitiful look, while Scooby's ears went back, they knew this was not the time to be thinking about food, "Sorry/Rorry."
At that moment, the record finished playing.
"Dragsville," Velvet said, as he became a ghost again and flew back into the record player.
"Phew," Courage let out a long sigh, relived that Velvet was gone.
"Like, he seems to only appear from the record when its being played, but when its like, finished, he gets pulled back in," Shaggy ventured, knowing that in light of everything that had happened, this made the most sense with the connection between him and the record player.
"Rell, as long as Rustace doesn't play the music again, everything will be fine," Scooby told his best friends.
"Got to hear that again," Eustace said as he moved the needle to the record again, the music started to play with Velvet coming back again.
"Zoinks!" Shaggy screamed with fright.
"Rot again!" Scooby pleaded with dismay. He mentally hit himself in the head. Ray ago Scooby, you had to jinx it you big dumbo.
"NOOOOOOOO!" Courage yelled with his eyes inflating before exploding.
"You want the sweet bread stuffer, or can I have it?" Eustace asked as he ate through each sandwich Muriel brought.
"Come on pops, lets swing," Velvet said while patting the seat next to him.
"Oh, I don't swing, I got a condition," Eustace explained.
"How's about it Mama? Do you swing?" Velvet asked when Muriel reappeared with the tea and a bowl full of sugar cubes.
"Well, when I was a wee girl, I did play a bit," Muriel answered before placing the tray on top of the piano. "Move over."
"Take it home, baby girl," Velvet said. "You're hot."
Courage screamed at this, his head came off again but this time with a spring underneath it, corkscrews, spring and washers came out from his body and land near Shaggy and Scooby. Grabbing them, Scooby moved to Courage and put them back in and tightened them, Shaggy then forced his head down before spinning it. Once done, he was back to normal for the moment.
"How's about it, dads? Care to cut a slice of rug?" Velvet asked jumping to Eustace.
"I told you, I got a-" Eustace began but was cut off when Velvet grabbed his hand and started to swing him around like a rag doll.
After a few moments of this, Velvet put Eustace back on the ground before spinning him so much that he flew into the closet through the door.
"Rouch! Rhat had had to hurt," Scooby cringed, seeing him smash through the door and hear him crash into everything that was in there.
"Groovy-o," Velvet said before moving over to the record player and removed the needle from the record.
"OOH!" Muriel said surprised as she was pulled into the record player.
"AUNT MURIEL!/RURIEL!" Shaggy and Scooby cried out in horror in unison.
"NO!" Courage screamed with terror while ripping himself in half.
"We won't be jamming to these old tunes anymore," Velvet said as he took the record and smashed it against his knee, breaking it into pieces,
This made, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage gasped in horror as they gaze at the now broken record. Eustace was seen sticking his head out of the hole in the closet door. His head was also inside a fish bowl.
"Oh! Swingin," Eustace groaned in pain.
"Got to split pops, I'm going on the road," Velvet said while sliding to the door and opening it.
"Hey, you make money on the road?" Eustace asked curious and surprised.
"Sacks, daddy-o," Velvet answered.
"Ah. You're going to need a road manager, ain't you?" Eustace asked greedily as he took the bowl of his head.
"Groovy-o, let's book," Velvet said, as they left the house and closed the door.
Going around to the front, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw them enter Eustace's truck before driving off, turning around, the three best friends ran back into the house where the remains of the record were.
"MURIEL!" Courage yelled in horror.
"Like, don't panic, this isn't a problem, we just have to tape it together! Scoob, hand me the tape," Shaggy suggested panicky as he started to move the pieces together. Though if he was honest with himself, he felt like he was gonna have a panic attack himself.
Scoob handed the cowardly teen some tape, as Shaggy grabbed it and started to tape the pieces together. But the end result wasn't that good as it barely resembled a record.
"There, like, I think it's fix," Shaggy sweat drop, trying his best to hide his anxiety over at the cruddy record.
"I hope this works," Courage gasped, as he placed the needle on the record.
But the music came out raggedly and skipping a lot, making the cowardly trio winced, but luckily, Muriel came out a second later. But then...
"Oh, my," Muriel said as she looked like a PUZZLE piece put together wrong.
"NO!" Courage exclaimed in terror.
"Re need a doctor!" Scooby wailed.
After a long trip, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were now in Dr. Vindaloo's office, he was a bit surprised that they came in but agreed to listen to the trio. Courage was now telling him about everything that happened with the record and Muriel.
"Yes, yes, the evil singer has trapped the round woman in this record. What's up with that?" Dr. Vindaloo asked.
"Ran you do something doctor?" Scooby pleaded desperately, worried and concerned at what he would do with the record.
"Yes, I have just the thing. This machine will clone you another record, good as new," Dr. Vindaloo answered, as he took the record and placed it into a weird purple machine.
It hummed to life with lights come out of it with the dial pad on its side doing the same, a moment later, a fresh record came up from the top.
"Like, that's convenient," Shaggy noted as he took the record and placed it on the record player behind them.
"Hopefully Muriel comes out alright," Courage said worry creeping into his gut, as the music started to play.
And to Shaggy, Scooby and Courage's relief, the music sounded exactly the same, and a moment later, the trio saw Muriel start to come out.
"Yay!" Courage cheered, as he, Shaggy and Scooby saw that so far Muriel seemed to be coming out correctly.
"RI'm glad that-" Scooby began but stopped and had his jaw drop at what he and his best friends saw.
Courage gasped as well when Muriel fully came out, she seemed alright at first, until you realize that she had two heads this time.
"Oh, my," both heads said at the same time.
"NO!" Courage shouted, while Scooby quickly took off the needle which made Muriel go back into the record.
Courage then went to the machine and grabbed the still broken record.
"Row what?" Scooby gasped, fearing that they might never get Muriel out of the record.
"Like okay, okay, let's find where Uncle Eustace and Velvet are," Shaggy urged in a broken voice.
Scooby and Courage both nodded and the three best friends left Dr. Vindaloo's office.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage searched all over Nowhere for Eustace and Velvet, but did not find them, the trio were about to give up but caught a break when the three saw a poster for an upcoming Velvet Vic concert. Looking it over, the three best friends saw the location of the event and that it was starting soon.
Heading to the bus station, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage made their way over to the concert, after about an hour of traveling, the three finally made it to the concert and saw that it was packed. For the slightest moment, they all wondered where could Eustace be before they remembered.
"Ticket line/Ricket line," Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all said at the same time and headed over and indeed saw Eustace charging a fortune to everyone who wanted to see the show.
Getting there, Courage attempted to try and tell him but Eustace quickly cut in.
"Leave me alone, you stupid dogs and nephew, can't you see I'm busy getting rich?" Eustace said bitterly.
The old greedy farmer then grabbed the record and flung it with Courage still hanging onto it far away.
"Courage!/Rourage!" Scooby and Shaggy exclaimed in unison with gasps of concern. They both pushed through the crowd of people.
Courage landed on the ground with a heavy thud, luckily the record didn't get smashed into pieces, much to his relief.
"Hmm…..a wouldn't happened to be a Velvet Vic record, would it?" a familiar voice asked.
Courage stood up and saw it was Shirley, the medium chihuahua who cursed Eustace a month ago for his cruelty towards her and the day before his birthday.
"Shirley! You have to help us! There was this guy, name Velvet Vic, and he trapped Muriel in this record!" Courage responded, while transforming into Muriel and sticking his head into the record hole. "HELP! HELP!"
At this time, Shaggy and Scooby manage to get through the crowd and saw Shirley on a wagon, with things.
"Shirley?/Rhirley?" Shaggy and Scooby asked in confused unison, they're both not expecting to see the green chihuahua again.
"Your friend here told me what has happened and the solution is very simple. To get Velvet Vic in and the wife of the stupid one out, you have to play the record while he is performing the song." Shirley explained.
"But like, is there another way? Can't you just use your medium magic to get my aunt out?" Shaggy said, looking at her in desperation.
"I'm afraid that no magic can fix this," Shirley said, regretfully.
"Oh man," Shaggy groaned sadly, his best friends let out whines of dismay as well, they all hung their heads.
"Go digital," Shirley told, the three best friends.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage were back at the farmhouse after another long trip, at least this time Shaggy had Eustace's truck to make it quicker. Going to the attic Courage turned on the computer and started the process of getting this record fixed or make it go digital.
"Twits. Of course, Muriel is stuck in the record. Modern music is bad for you," the computer told the trio.
"This is not the time for jokes!" Courage told the computer, growing annoyed at the computer's bad timing insults, while he typed it in.
"My aunt is in that record player, and this is like, not a funny manner!" Shaggy yelled at the computer.
"No need to get testy. Hand it over,"the computer told the trio irritated.
Nodding, Scooby opened up the scanner and placed the record on it before closing it, the computer scanned it for a moment before a tray came out with a cd on it.
"Yay," Courage cheered.
"Like, come on, get got to get over back to the concert, before it's over!" Shaggy said.
Arriving back at the concert, Shaggy parked the truck and headed around back. Scooby and Courage also brought with them a boombox and the disc. The three saw a sign that read 'back stage.,'
"Oh great," Shaggy moaned.
"Row are we gonna get on stage now?" Scooby asked, worried they might not get on stage in time.
Courage gaze down on the ground and dirt, an idea suddenly came to him, "I got it, Scoob help me dig!"
Together, the two dogs begin to dig through the ground. After a few minutes, the trio passed the fence and were on the stage. Getting out, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw that Eustace had two large bags of money next to him as he overlooked Velvet playing the piano on stage.
Rease, please work. Scooby thought, his muscles tensing. The Great Dane placed the cd in before pressing the button which closed the tray.
Music started to play with Muriel coming out a second later, appearing next to Velvet on stage.
"Yes! It worked!" Courage exclaimed.
"Like, where not out of the woods yet, little pink dude," Shaggy replied to the pink beagle.
"Reah, we gotta put Relvet back in the disc," Scooby reminded.
"What?! Muriel, get off of there, you stage hog!" Eustace shouted to her.
"Hey, mama, you blowing my gig," Velvet told her.
"Well, I never," Muriel said crossing her arms.
"Row Rourage," Scooby told him on commanded.
Courage nodded and stopped the boom box from playing, the result was Velvet Vic this time going into the cd.
"Dragsville," Velvet said, as he was gone for good.
"Res!" Scooby cheered.
"Way a go team!" Shaggy added enthusiastically. .
"He's gone!" Courage exclaimed zealously, as he Shaggy and Scooby hi-five each other.
"This has got to be all your fault, you stupid music hating dogs and nephew," Eustace said bitterly getting the trio's attention.
Turning to him, Shaggy, Scooby and Courage saw him running to the door with his money but tripped when he stepped into the hole Scooby and Courage dug to get them in here, at that moment, Shirley showed up.
"I'll take that," Shirley said taking the cd that contained Velvet before going up to Eustace and taking his money. "And this."
"Hey! That's mine," Eustace whined.
"Licensing fee," Shirley countered before leaving with Eustace crying when he saw his money was gone now.
"Swinging," the trio heard Muriel say as she stopped playing.
"Like, that was awesome Aunt Muriel!" Shaggy exclaimed.
"Reah, you rock with piano!" Scooby grinned, apparently just as pleased as Shaggy was.
"You're amazing Muriel," Courage chimed in brightly.
"Well thanks dears, let's go home and celebrate, I'll make some chicken dumplings as well," Muriel told the trio as she made her way past the weeping Eustace and towards the exit.
Followed by a drooling Shaggy, Scooby and Courage who all loved the dumplings.
The next day, Shaggy and Scooby were sitting on the couch, while Muriel was sitting on her rocking chair, with Courage on her lap, watching the desperate Eustace go through his entire record collection to try and summon Velvet again. He has so far gone through about forty records but each had the same result in that no one came out, which is the way Shaggy, Scooby and Courage want to keep it.
"Isn't that nice? Eustace just loves his music," Muriel asked as Eustace played yet another record on the record player.
"Come on out, I know you're in there," Eustace begged.
"Rill he ever learn or give up?" Scooby asked as he sipped some tea before resuming his meal of chicken dumplings.
"Someone? Anyone! Who the heck are you!?" Eustace demanded as he placed his head into the record player. But then got sucked into it by something with the music stopping a second later. "But I don't do no do-si-do. I got a condition."
"Nope," Courage answered with a chuckle as he, and his best friends heard Eustace shouted as he did the do-si-do with whatever pulled him into the record player, making the trio laugh at Eustace's misfortune.
