Chapter Six

She had been home on Tracy Island for a few weeks, Claire's father, Grandma and brothers have been supportive or her.

Jeff had told his lawyer what happened to his daughter, Jeff had also said that he wanted the girl's who hurt Claire punished,

Sitting on the sofa Claire was watching Alan and Virgil on the a rescue, she was concentrating and lost in her own thoughts that she didn't know Scott has sat next to her.

He put his arm around Claire and waited for her to turn to him, she turns to see her brother smiling at her.

She smiles back at him and says. "Hey Scotty"

He knew his sister was worried and that Claire was trying to hide how she was felt, he could always tell when she was upset or trying to hide something.

Scott decided to talk to her about it later, he says to her. "Hi Claire how are you feeling?"

She thinks before replying. "I'm scared about having to go over to the mainland, I don't want to go over to the mainland"

Scott knew why and he decided to go with her. "I'll come with you and protect you"

She couldn't help smiling and feeling grateful to her big brother. "Thank you Scotty"

Claire was hoping that everything would go smoothly, she just wanted to get the court case over with.

By lunch time everyone was sitting at the table eating, Jeff knew he had to let everyone know about the trip to the mainland.

He cleared his throat getting everyone's attention. "Just to let you know that Claire, Scott, Virgil and me are going over to the mainland soon"

Everyone knew that they would be going over to the mainland, both Scott and Virgil were worried about their baby sister.

She had a bad feeling about going over to the mainland, Claire could put it down to her fear of not feeling safe when she's not at home with her family.

Claire couldn't help but ask. "How long will we be there on the mainland?"

Sighing Jeff answers. "We will be there for a few days"

She only nods as she was not wanting to trust her voice, all Claire wanted was to hide away at home.

Watching his sister out the corner of his eye, Scott saw how frightened Claire was. He just hoped that the few days that they are on the mainland, that it would go quickly for Claire's sake.

After lunch Claire's Brothers were on rescue missions, she watched them and helped a little with ideas. It was to keep her mind off of the court case. One thing was for sure is that Claire has her family there to support her.

In a house in Seattle was Holly, her friends and their parents, they were talking about how they were going to make sure Claire Tracy would never make it to court.

Mr Carter who is Holly's father says. "We should kidnap Claire Tracy when we get the chance to"

Mr Keppler a father of Debbie who is one of Holly's friends says. "We keep her long enough, then the court case will be thrown out….. and our girls will be free"

Mr Wilson a father of Lacey who is Holly's other friend said, Mr Wilson had researched about Claire Tracy. "We may have a problem….. Claire Tracy is Jeff Tracy's daughter"

Mr Carter didn't care. "I don't care who her father is, we are going ahead with the plan"

All three men agreed to the plan, even though they knew that they would get into trouble.

Mr Carter had someone watching the Tracy's, he was kept updated on the Tracy's movements.

It had been a few days and Jeff, Scott, Virgil and Claire were in the hotel, Claire was so nervous about being on the mainland and about the court case.

She was standing outside on the balcony, Claire was thinking and hoping the next few day would fly by quickly.

Virgil saw his sister and walked out to join her, he put his hand gently on her shoulder.

He smiles sheepishly. "Sorry I didn't mean to make you jump"

She nods gently and replies. "It's ok I was miles aways"

Virgil knew that his sister was worried. "Let's go down to the shop"

She didn't want to but Claire knew the walk might do her good. "Ok Virgil let's go, the walk might do me good"

They got their jackets then left, once they got to the shop they had a look then picked out some snacks and drinks.

While Virgil went up to the counter to pay, Claire waited outside to wait for her brother.

After paying Virgil just walked out of the shop, two men grabbed Claire who put up a fight. Virgil also put up a fight and tried to get his sister, bot one man hit Virgil knocking him on the floor.

The man who grabbed Claire hit her, she felt disoriented and couldn't keep her eyes open.

The man put Claire in the back of a blue van, then got in. "Let's go Mr Carter is waiting for us"

The man behind the wheel drove fast heading to the warehouse. Once at the warehouse the man got out then went around the van, they got Claire out and took her inside where three men were waiting.

Mr Carter looks up and smirks. "Tie her up in the chair, I'll contact Mr Tracy later"

Once she was tied up Mr carter hit her over and over again, once he was done Mr Carter took a photo and put it in a small box.

Meanwhile Virgil had called his father and brother, he told them about Claire being kidnapped and that he will get the CCTV footage from the outside the shop.

He was angry that Claire was kidnapped, Scott felt like he broke a promise to protect her. "How could this happen, I should have gone with them to the shop"

Jeff was also angry too. "I don't know but we will find Claire"

Virgil returned to the hotel with a few police officers, Virgil had a black eye and a split lip from trying to fight the men who took his sister.

He felt bad that he couldn't protect his sister, Virgil handed over the CCTV footage and says. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect Claire"

Scott put his hand gently on Virgil's shoulder. "Virgil we will find Claire and she will tell you that it's not your fault"

Virgil nods but he was still angry at himself. "I hope we find her safe and unharmed"

Meanwhile back at the warehouse Claire was waking up, she felt pain all over her body and her head hurt.

Mr Carter smirks at her. "Hello Claire Tracy"

She looks up at his scared. "Who are you…..what do you want?"

Mr Carter grabbed her by her hair. "I'm making sure that you miss going to court, my daughter Holly and her friends will be free to go back to school"

She was angry hearing Holly's name. "Holly and her friends deserve to be punished, they attacked me and put me in the hospital"

Mr Carter lost it and kicked and punched Claire, and when she fell on the floor. Mr Carter kicked Claire in the head so hard, that Claire fell unconscious.

Mr Wilson didn't agree to harming Claire. "I never agreed to harming her, she is just a child"

Mr Carter didn't care and didn't say anything, he left to contact Mr Tracy.

Meanwhile Jeff, Scott and Virgil were answering questions and looking at the CCTV footage.

A officer walked in and handed Jeff the box. "This just came for you Mr Tracy"

Jeff opened the box and saw the picture of Claire. "It's a picture of Claire, she's tied up sitting in a chair"

Before anyone could say anything, Jeff's phone went off and he answers it.

He put the call on loud speaker. "Hello?"

Mr Carter was smirking. "Hello Mr Tracy……. I have your daughter"

Both Scott and Virgil look to each other worriedly, while Jeff was angry and worried about his little girl.

He stayed calm and asked. "Who are you and what do you want?"

Mr Carter answers. "I'm Mr Carter and I'm keeping your daughter so that she doesn't make it to court, I want my daughter Holly and her friends to be free"

Before Jeff could say anything Mr Carter had ended the call. Scott, Virgil and Jeff were angry that a grown man would kidnap Claire who is a child. All three hope that they find Claire soon and keep her safe.
