Chapter 6

Vi pulled Jinx to the side before entering the the large dome entrance.

"Alright remember, we stay together, don't bring attention to ourselves, and no stealing".

"Then how are we supposed to get anything silly"? Jinx said while giving a wink.

"Just leave that up to me". Said Vi as she reached into her pocket feeling the for the gold trinkets.

"Oh thank you Sheriff lady". Responded Jinx, while she began laughing again.

"Jinx, shut up, your being to loud".

"ah ah ah ah, my name is Cherry now, remember".

"For fucks sake, I cant call you that, I just cant. How about I just call you J, and you call me V for now"?

"What about Princess monkey bombs"?

Vi looked at Jinx, while shaking her head. "What have I gotten myself into she thought".

"First thing we need is a map, I don't think its safe to stay in the main city, then we can get some other necessity's, what did you bring with you"?

Jinx smiled big, "Well i brought some bombs, and tools, and knives".

Vi grabbed Jinx's bag, and began rummaging through it, unable to believe that is what her sister brought with her to start a new life.

"Fuck" Vi said and she looked up at Jinx. "You cant get caught with any of this, or were done for. I guess we need a little of everything".

They both made their way into the dome. Both admiring the many shops, with items they had never seen before. Fabrics, trinkets, and colorful ensembles, laid a cross tables. Jinx wanted to touch everything, but every time she put her hand near something Vi would grab it and give her a look.

"Look J I need to go find someone I can trade for these", Vi said while jingling the bag of trinkets. "I know I said we shouldn't split up, but do you think you will be ok on your own for a few minutes".

"Oh ya sister ill be fine, just going to see what this place has to offer".

Vi pulled Jinx in close to whisper so no one else could hear. "Do not steal anything, ill be right back, and stay in this area so I can find you".

Jinx nodded happily.

Vi hated the thought of leaving Jinx to herself, but also didn't want to risk taking her with. Vi wasn't sure how easy it would be to find someone to trade with, and she didn't want Jinx around in case she ran into trouble.

Jinx was more than happy to be left alone. She could now touch whatever she wanted without her sister standing in the way. Jinx walked along the tables running her hands along everything. Barely listening as the shop owners would tell what the special fabrics were made of. She just enjoyed the bright colors, and soft feel of the silks.

She saw a particular piece of cloth that caught her eye. It was Blue, with soft pinks that swirled around it. Jinx wished she hadn't promised not to steal, she thought this would be a great gift for Vi. "Maybe just once", she thought. Not realizing the the young women standing next her, she reached down to pick it up, just as the female reached for it, causing Jinx's hand to accidently grab the young girls. Jinx immediately withdrew her hand, as a bright light flashed inside her mind, and for the fist time leaving peace and quiet in her head. Jinx looked to the women who had Long yellow hair, bright blue eyes, and wore beautiful silver armor.

"You alright", the young girl said as she moved closer to check on Jinx.

"What did you do to me"? Jinx asked in a scared and shaky voice.

"Nothing sweetheart, I didn't mean to startle you".

"You didn't startle me, you just". Jinx stopped talking as the voices returned bringing noise and chaos, and weirdly comfort for Jinx.

"If you want that fabric, I promise I wont take it". The young girl smiled.

Jinx looked around looking for Vi, or a sign of what to do next. "I don't want it, you can have it".

"Well thank you, My name is Luxanne, but my friends all call me Lux. You don't look like your from around here, you traveling"?

"Uh ya, that's what I'm doing".

"Well that's exciting, I've always wanted to travel. Where you from"?

"Uh South". is all Jinx could come up with.

"Well I hope you enjoy Demacia, its a beautiful place. Our lands are filled with beautiful waterfalls, and green mountains".

"Great. great". Said Jinx as she continued to scan the crowd looking for Vi.

"I don't believe I caught your name". Said Lux, as she began moving closer to Jinx, now merely inches away, as she looked into Jinx's eyes. "You have beautiful eyes, its almost mesmerizing as they change from blue to pink and back to blue".

Jinx began stepping back, not use to people invading her space, or wanting to be near her. "Uh my name is J, I guess, ya J". Said Jinx with no enthusiasm, as she began to calm down.

"Well J, I must say I'm very glad to have met you, can I buy you a drink, I would love to hear more about your travels"?

"Ya I'm not really supposed to do that".

Lux wasn't sure what was meant by this, but didn't want to make the poor girl to uncomfortable. "Well you don't have to talk about anything you don't want to, but I would still love to buy you a drink, consider it Demcian hospitality.

Jinx didn't think she could get into any trouble just by excepting a drink, plus she was thirsty, and Vi had been gone a lot longer than she was supposed to be. "I guess a drink wont hurt, what are we talking here, some good Demacian whisky or what Blondie"?

Lux smiled at Jinx "I was thinking more of our famous herbal drink that's made with the leaf's of flowers that only bloom at the base of the mountain of Uwendle".

"ugh". Jinx said while making a sour face.

"Ill make you a deal, if you don't like it, we will go find that whiskey for you".

"Well I cant say no to that, lets go Blondie".

Lux motioned for Jinx to follow her, passing the clothing vendor stalls and heading towards the food and drink area. Just then a man walked passed holding a giant pastry that looked to be filled with some sort of red jelly.

"What is that"? Jinx said as her eyes grew larger. She just now was realizing she hadn't eaten in over a day.

"Oh that's a jelly donut, definitely one of my favorites, they also have other fillings, but I prefer our famous red grapple berry. You want to try one"?

Jinx looked at lux with confusion. it was one thing to offer to buy her a drink, but to offer to feed her was a whole new level of weird for Jinx. No one had ever offered Jinx anything for free.

"I don't have anything to trade you for it".

"Trade me, no its my treat".

Jinx wanted to say no, to just walk away, but something about this girl kept Jinx needing to stay, to just be near her. "ok", she finally mustered.

As lux made her way to the different stalls, buying the donuts and drinks, Jinx found herself unable to take her eyes off her. Now arms full Lux, motioned for Jinx to come sit with her at the table. As they both sat down, Lux took a drink, and donut and slid them over to Jinx. "I really hope you enjoy them".

"Hmm I hope I don't like this herb drink, cause then I get to go get whiskey with you".

Lux blushed a little as she watched Jinx take a sip of the drink.

Jinx tried to hide her smile as she put the glass down. "Oh ya that was just awful". Jinx said unable to keep a straight face as she began to laugh.

Lux smiled, as she joined in the laughter.

"Ok Blondie, that was actually pretty good".

"Well how about I take you out for that whiskey sometime anyway".

Jinx smiled even bigger now as her cheeks began to blush the slightest pink.

"You got it Blondie". remarked Jinx as she then grabbed for the donut. "Wow", was all she could get out, before taking bite after bite of the amazing donut.

"Do you guys not have pastries like these back home"?

"Oh no, I don't think we even have sugar or jam for that matter only top". Jinx immediately cut herself off realizing she needed to shut up. She put the rest of the pastry down as she began to get frustrated with herself. Voices in her head began yelling, telling her to run. Telling her she couldn't trust the girl in front of her. Jinx stood up throwing her hands over her ears to muffle the yelling coming from inside.

Lux noticed something wrong in Jinx immediately, she watched as her eyes switch from blue to pink. The young girl before her rising, throwing her hands over her ears, looking like she was ready to scream. Lux jumped upped, and and quickly made her way over to Jinx. She reached both her arms forward, lightly put her hands over Jinx's.

The voices stopped, as another bright light shined through Jinx. She opened her eyes looking at Lux. "What are you doing to me"? as a few small tears fell from her eyes.

As Jinx stared into lux's eyes, she felt a familiar hand on her shoulder. "What the hell J, you were supposed to stay where you were".

Lux quickly pulled her hands away, as the new unfamiliar female approached.

"Who the hell are you". Vi said as she looked at Lux, now wondering what she had just walked in on.

Jinx quickly wiped away the tears hoping her sister didn't notice.

"This is Blo, I mean Lux, I met her at the clothing vendor and she offered to by me a drink as Demacian hospitality".

Vi glaringly looked down at Jinx. "We don't have time for this, we need to leave now if were to make camp before nightfall". Vi grabbed Jinx's bags and pulled her up to follow.

"Where you guys heading"?

Vi turned around staring intensely at Lux. "I don't think that is any of your concern".

"I can help, I know these lands well".

"Thanks but we have a map lady". said Vi as she threw her arm up with that map in hand while walking away.

Jinx turned to look back at Lux, wishing she could come with them, she needed to know more about this girl, what powers she could possibly posses to be able to control Jinx like she did. Just then she saw Lux mouthing "ill see you again". Jinx smiled, and turned back around to continue to walk side by side with Vi.
