Bruce Wayne couldn't believe it... He honestly couldn't believe the memory surging through his body at this moment.
Just a few hours ago, he had lost his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne, to a mugger in a place that would eventually be known as Crime Alley! The Wayne family had gone to see The Legend of Zorro at the movie theater, and Thomas wanted to save time for Alfred by taking a shortcut through an obviously dangerous alley. This resulted in the Wayne family running into a criminal who tried to rob them, and for no reason shot both Thomas and Martha Wayne in the chest!
Only 8-year-old Bruce Wayne was spared for unknown reasons, just as the grief of losing his parents overcame him, and he cried out in anger and sadness! But just a few moments later... a surge of memories that did not feel like his own began to go through his brain!
And that is when he finally realized something... He had been reincarnated into his favorite comic book superhero; the Batman!
'Why the hell am I, Bruce Wayne!'thought Bruce to himself, wondering why he became Batman of all people when Batman was an individual who could never get over the loss of his parents, and was a prime example of what happens when someone doesn't cope properly with loss.
He was not sure if he should be happy or sad at that moment. Since it is past life, he was what you would describe as a loser who had no reason to exist in society! He was what you would call an otaku in his past life who lived his life binge eating, watching all kinds of media, reading all kinds of media, and leaving off a pension. He is what you would call a leech, a parasite, a loser, well .. you get it by now!
That is one of the many reasons he admired Batman because he was just a man who stood up against gods, metahumans, the criminally insane, and those who thought they were above the law! He wanted to be just like Batman, but he never expected a million years to actually become Batman!
The shock of this Revelation was so much that Bruce immediately passed out on the floor, just as the sounds of sirens and police cars could be heard in the distance. A couple of hours later, he woke up in the hospital, much to the relief of Alfred Pennyworth, the Wayne family's loyal butler.
After a lengthy talk with the man who would eventually become Police Commissioner Jim Gordon, Bruce was allowed to go home from the hospital. As he was being driven home by Alfred, he watched the swarm of bats fly through the city and quickly realized that this was the moment that Bruce Wayne decided to use the bat as his moniker! Because bats are creatures that are feared by the superstitious, and criminals are especially superstitious.
'Of all things, why the hell did I become Bruce Wayne! I wanted to be so many things before I ever wanted to become Batman! I wanted to be a Pokemon trainer. I wanted to be a pirate on the Gramd Line of One Piece. I wanted to meet the Loud family from The Loud House. I wanted to meet Goku and the rest of the Z warriors. I wanted to meet Blitz and the rest of IMP from Helluva Boss. I wanted to do so many more things in a reincarnated scenario, then become Batman! Wait... wait a moment... I could do all of that!' thought Bruce to himself, just as Alfred escorted him into Wayne Manor.
The loyal butler of the Wayne family quickly escorted Bruce to his room before leaving the 8-year-old alone so he could be with his thoughts. He figured after everything Bruce had been through that night, he at least needed some time to himself so he could collect his thoughts. Little did he know that his young master had some strange thoughts in that moment, just not the ones that had anything to do with Canon.
'I'm so dumb! I can't believe I didn't think of that one thing right when I regained my memories! I'm literally in the world filled with super science and magic, so there is literally no reason why I couldn't access those other worlds I always wanted to go to first! But wait... the world needs the Batman. But on the other hand I could become not only a great adventure or through the Multiverse, I could use all the skills, weapons, and allies I gather in order to become a more powerful Batman than ever before! Heck, I could become the most powerful Batman in the Multiverse! The ultimate Batman! Yeah, that has a nice ring to it! Now, the only thing now I need to do is train my body and mine, since the multiverse is going to be difficult, especially to the world I want to go to.' thought Bruce to himself, before he looked up to the sky, or more specifically, the window of his bedroom.
"I promise to avenge my parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne. Not only that, I will become a powerful force of Justice who will stand toe the toe with beings who think they are gods, beings who think they are above the law, and those that only wish to bring harm to the innocent! I'll become the Batman, but not only that, I promise to become a Batman unlike any Batman in the Multiverse, the ultimate Batman!"said Bruce to the sky. Just as a bat flew through the sky to eat a moth that was flying through the sky.
"First thing is first. I need to train my body in order to withstand the punishment of Multiverse travel. More than anything, I need to train my mind in order to withstand the many trials I will no doubt experience on my journey! The good news is I'm no longer the picky eater I used to be, and I definitely don't hate exercise anymore like I did in my first life. Now, I need to make myself a powerful warrior, both in body and mind! Since it's going to take more than anything, willpower to become the ultimate Batman. After I finish training my body and mind, I know exactly which world I want to go to first. I'm going to the world of Pokemon! If I want powerful allies, what better place to start with than a world filled with powerful creatures that trust you to have their back! And the best part is I know exactly which six Pokemon I want to take with me on my journey. These have been my all-time favorite Pokemon of all time, so I know exactly what to do. Now the only question is... just how much time, energy, and money is it going to take to create a device that will take me into the Multiverse! Oh well, I'm a tragic billionaire now, plus I'm a smart kid, so I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out in a few years. I'm going to be realistic here. It's going to take years to build my Multiverse portal. In the meantime, I'll build up my body and mind, and when my portal is ready, the first step is the world of Pokemon! Get ready, Multiverse, because ultimate Batman is coming for you!"said Bruce Wayne with determination while looking at the moon through the night sky.
He looked at the world with anger, but more than anything, the emotion of righteousness was feeling him. He would save this city from itself, but he would do it as more than just a man. He would do it as the ultimate Batman!
'Watch out Gotham City because your criminals are about to be taken down by the ultimate Batman in a few years!'Those were final thoughts Bruce had before he decided to go to bed.
After all, his training would begin in the morning! He needed every ounce of rest in order to push his body to the limit over and over again in order to make it stronger! He would also focus on his schooling. That way, he will be extremely intelligent when it is time to venture into the Multiverse!
How far does this young man who was once a loser in life go to achieve his dreams!
There is only one way to find out!
I'm going to be honest with everyone and tell you that I got this idea from a fever dream. Now I know that sounds stupid, and honestly, it is. But when I was suffering from a particularly bad fever, I had constant dreams about Batman going to different worlds. It was weird and yet strangely satisfying. That fever dream inspired me to create this story.
I've been sitting on this idea for a while now, hoping that I could come up with a better idea. But this idea just kept coming back, and I knew in my heart that I needed to see it through! So that is why I am here, so that I can see it through and show everyone just how good of a writer I really am!
Now I am by no means a good writer. Heck, I mediocre at best. But that doesn't mean you should not give me a shot. I plan to make this a really long fan fiction since it will involve multiple different genres.
Like I stated in the beginning, I do not own anything that has anything to do with Batman, the DC Multiverse, the Justice League, Pokemon, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, The Loud House, RWBY, Star Wars, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Helluva Boss, and anything else I can think of for this story.
