Episode 14- Rushing the mission.

Dobromir was traversing the metal corridors of the battlecruiser, passing by mechanics, soldiers and occasional pilot or two. He left the rest of his riders on their smothership, boarding a small space boat for max of eight people plus steerman, and arriving in one of the landing bays. He finally arrived at the meeting room, finding Magistrate, Raynor and Mengsk already there, it seems he arrived last.

"Now that we are finally gathered here, let me officially welcome the rebellion. I know our combined efforts would be more fruitful".

"Wait, before anything else".

"Hmm?"

"I or rather we, as Po'midor colony will take the colonists in. Those that want it, of course. And… the riders must withdraw to defend our homeworld, what with the increased zerg activity and all. We will help you, of course, it's just that only I will be in the thick of the battle, the rest of our support will be… of other kind."

"What kind, if I may ask?" Arcturus frowned only a little, the riders were formidable yes, but their force was too small to be useful in large scale battles.

"Considering our technology is suited to us, and wouldn't be really useful to you, the only thing left is… food, in the shape of special plants for easy and fast growing in the supply depots, and the most important thing for every soldier."

Raynor joined their conversation, asking "Which is?"

Dobromir turned toward him,the biggest grin plastered on his face. "I think it's obvious, Magistrate, you know what it is?"

"Weapon?" he totally wasn't ready for the question, so his answer was very unsure.

"You think you are right, but the truth is different. THE things every soldier needs are liquor and drugs. The second isn't ready, but with us cutting away from confederacy, we have a lot, and I mean a LOT of this delightful pain & brain killer just sitting around, waiting to be chugged down."

"A man after my own heart, you know us so well." Raynor said this with a hand on his chest, roughly where the heart is. The second was wiping away a tear leaking from one of his closed eyes. The knowledge of being acknowledged and understood touched him deeply.

Magistrate just watched dumbfounded, Arcturus just chose to ignore the scene.

"If that's all, we have one last thing to do on this planet."

The dropship landed not far from the entrance of the Secret Research Facility, the small space boat not far behind. Using a small gravity generator extending somewhat beyond the ship, Dobromir landed gently, and without problems.

The team that assembled consisted of Mengsk's good men, Raynor and a few more experienced militiamen.

.

The riders were already returning home, together with all colonists who didn't choose to join Sons of Korhal. It seemed it was more or less a group decision, and they all went to greener pastures. Literally, the planet of Po'midor is all green, and Mar Sara was just rocky ground and sand everywhere.

.

Team stood at the ready, waiting for just one person. Raynor was looking a little up at the person struggling with something.

"What's taking you so long?"

"My mount, of course. I expected some mechanical panther or something, but it seems someone has a much bigger caliber in mind."

"What do you mean, bigger?"

"You'll see." Powering the gravity field again, he lifted the enormous crate effortlessly, and put it on the ground just by his boat. The package in question was as big as Raynor in his marine armor.

"Help me with this, would you?"

Together, they started dragging the heavy object away, some good distance to not damage the boat.

"Good enough, now step away." Just as Jim compiled, Dobromir put his hand on the part of the crate. It didn't look different from rest, but a green glow scanned the hand, and unboxing began. The thing that saw the light of day was hard to describe, probably because it was all huddled. A moment later it started rising, a red glow burning in its mechanical eyes, with two big ass horns protruding from its head.

.

"That's one big cow". The first uttered comment, so disappointing.

"Bull, as in male. I thought a cowboy like you would know."

The Mechanic beast in question was much bigger than one of the raider's boars. In fact, the big furry pigs were roughly the height of marine, this hunk of metal was taller than hydralisk, not by much, but add mass and it becomes more than just a ton of fun.

.

"I have a very good feeling about this mission" Said Dobromir with a biggest and stupidest grin. "But I see only long spears will make sense. Fortunately, I have one ideal for this". He quickly went to boat, and returned with a thick lance, small triangular flag with jolly roger, only skull was replaced by grinning tomato, and bones by two normal leeks, situated by the base of the weapon.

"You guys and your tomatoes".

"Name obliges, okay? Anyway, let's get this show on the road".

Saying that he hopped on the bull, and started slowly charging towards the facility. Raynor was running after him, and soon after his soldiers, most of them weirded out by this turn of events.

"We have the explosives for the doors, commander," said one of his soldiers, running beside him.

"I don't think we will need them".

"Why's that, sir?"

"Look forward, is this crazy son of a scientist slowing down?"

"No, to the contrary he is speeding up".

Not long after a loud "YEAH!" was shouted just before the blast doors were pulverized, the rider not stopping even for a moment.

The troops behind him pushed their exoskeleton suits just to keep up.

The palace was in process of evacuating, so the group met mostly automated defenses and few stray marines. Though "met" is understatement, most were flattened to the ground, or pierced like swish kebab. The few enemies of walking or static kind that were too far from the bulldozer were quickly shooted by the group following behind.

.

"Now, that was… not surprising".

"How so?" asked Raynor, checking the room for enemies.

"It just figures that confederates would run experiments on those little buggers".

The buggers in question were zerglings, or rather what remained of them, in the shape of bloody pulp on the floor. Some small parts were strewn over, and the towering bull stood still, the end of the corridor five feet before him.

"Anyway, what next?"

Some soldier walked out of another room, loudly saying "I have some info!"

.

Suffice to say, the group was soon standing around the most important room, surrounded by cowering scientists, and some fallen marines together with a ghost nailed to the ground by the quickly and expertly thrown lance.

Raynor didn't know how anyone could throw such a heavy and unwieldy weapon, but was thankful for quick work on one of those elite assassins.

.

"Okay, so we just need a copy, and we're outta here" Jim inserted some disk, and soon the process was done. The group started walking out, together with the metallic bull, not noticing the rider was left behind.

.

Dobromir walked over, and inserted a much smaller data storage device. Process would take a little longer than the previous one, so the man fully garbed in Plate Armor with some strange glowing lines here and there turned around, towards the still cowering scientists.

"If you are tired of serving the Confederacy, or just tired of constantly waiting for some stray bullet from an invisible ghost, you can wait outside for a space boat. I can guarantee better work conditions, and a chance to work with THE Maria."

He took his data storage, and hurried off after his group.

The scientist slowly stopped cowering, looking around at their pillaged office and soldiers strewn about.

.

Fortunately, his companions didn't look back, the small earthquakes caused by the bull were assurance enough to be certain. All in all, it took them somewhat under half an hour to complete the mission, and zero losses on their sides.

Author's things to say:

You probably read the long fanfiction about the legendary Magistrate, well spoilers alert, here he won't be anyone important, that's why I'm not giving him any name, and don't involve him much.
