Last Year of Highschool Sucks!
A Percy Jackson Fan Fiction Story
Percy Jackson and the Characters from the Original Books written by Uncle Rick are not owned and will never be owned by me as Rick has done amazing job with these stories and I am writing this as a token of appretiation and what I believe Percy would be like if his main school decided to go on a High school camp for 14 days.
No Percy / Annabeth But 100% Persassy lol
Chapter 1 – I Have a Slithery Problem
Today started like any other day for a regular schoolboy: get up, get dressed, have breakfast, and catch the first bus to school. But for me, a dyslexic and ADHD kid, this isn't something I can do so easily. Hi, I'm Percy Jackson, and I am the son of Poseidon. Yes, the gods are real, and they do seem to hate me. They're always finding new ways to get me killed. But honestly, I think school, especially English class, can be just as deadly—if not more so—when my ADHD and dyslexia are at their peak.
On my way to school today, I noticed a dracaena terrorizing a group of regular American citizens. I'm not sure what the mortals saw through the Mist, but I'm certain I had a better view than they did. I saw a humanoid female with twin serpent trunks instead of legs, wielding a glowing green spear.
I sighed. All I wanted was to get to school without any trouble, but no—now I had to save a woman because this snake-lady couldn't stay in Tartarus where she belonged. "Yo, ugly! You really want to pick on someone while I'm over here?" I called out.
The snake-woman turned to look at me. "A demigod! Looks like I've found myself a tasty breakfast!" she said with a slight Mexican accent.
"Before you attack, do you even know who I am? If you did, you'd probably want to run and leave Manhattan behind," I replied, pulling my trusted pen out of my pocket.
"I am a dracaena, feared by all! You're just some foolish demigod who thinks he can fight me!" she sneered as she charged at me, spear aimed right at my chest.
"One quick question," I said, jumping back and to the side, dodging the spear. "How are you so out of the loop? I'm Percy Jackson—ring any bells now?" I asked, uncapping my pen. It quickly transformed into my trusty sword, Anaklusmos, also known as Riptide, a long double-edged blade that had taken down more monsters than I could count.
"If you're a famous godling brat, then I'll be famous for slicing your neck off and eating you!" hissed the monster.
"Okay, then. I'll just kill you—say hi to Tartarus for me!" I said as I dashed forward, dodging another spear thrust, and impaled my sword into the snake-woman's side.
I watched as she crumbled into dust. "Great," I muttered to myself. "This monster is going to make me late for my first class of the day."
When I arrived at Goode High School—the only reason I'm here is that my mom is dating the high school English teacher—I rushed into my first lesson of the day, History. After giving a quick apology to my teacher, Mr. Sims, I sat down at my desk, which, to my annoyance, was located right in the middle of the class.
Let me tell you a little about my school: all the kids are bullies. This place is basically the last resort for kids whose parents had no other options, like me. But unlike me, most of them were kicked out of their previous schools for attacking fellow classmates, or they're here because it's a super cheap school to attend. So unlike Camp Half-Blood, where I had friends, this school is full of people who want to pick on me because I'm the new kid.
I know plenty of rumors are going around the school, like how I have so many scars on my body and why I always wear a long-sleeve top, even on hot days. Little do they know, that's where I hide my Roman tattoo.
"Settle down, class. Today I've got a surprise for you!" Mr. Sims announced.
I looked up, unsure about what was coming.
"We will be going on a special camp to California where you will be able to do lots of fun activities for two weeks!"
