Aight this will be the 23rd world tournament though the brackets will look much different for most of it and if the tournament ends up too short I'll start the Saiyan saga (With some twists)
Korrin's tower (After the Piccolo fight)
"Who's Kami?" Goku asked curiously when "The god of earth and the only one that may be able to revive those killed." "But how?" Goku said nonbelieving "Well Kami created the dragon balls and is the only one who can revive the dragon." "Well, how do I get to the lookout then?" Goku said eagerly "Whoa there youngster calm down you just need your power pole which will extend its way up it when you want it to." "Oh crap baskets I lost that at the battle welp I'll go get it."
"I'm back Korrin!" Goku said returning after a day of searching "Good place the pole right here" Korrin replied gesturing to a small hole "And here's a bell it signifies I sent you so use it just in case" "Of what" Goku asked "In case HE finds you first" Goku shuddered "Ok I'll sure do it" then he inserted the pole and jumped on top of it "Power Pole extend!" then the pole accelerated higher and higher into the sky as he continued a lightning bolt struck him "Ow what the hell sky!" Goku said annoyed before getting struck again "Ow!" and again "Ow!" and again "Ow damn you sky!" as he continued he was struck around 20 more times before he finally reached Kami's lookout.
As Goku finally had a chance to take in his surroundings he saw a well-looked-after garden and a large temple-like building in the center as he gazed upon it in misbelief he heard footsteps behind him he saw a large black creature with bright red lips and a white turban "Hi" was all the creature said Goku looked back at him warily "The name is Mr Popo and I don't go by any other name" Goku rang the bell to assure him "Oh the furry sent you great guess that means I have to train this maggot" Popo said annoyed "Well if ya beat me which you won't by the way but they all try anyway" Goku attempted to attack the strange man thinking it would be easy but failing even to land a hit "Come on at least pretend to try" Popo mocked making Goku grit his teeth in annoyance "Swinging at him but getting no closer before Popo poked him gently knocking him out "Luckily your not a fly yet or I'd clip your wings."
As Goku woke up Popo said to him "So you failed the test maggot what will you do now?" Goku sighed groggily "Can I at least train up here until I can?" Popo smirked "That'll never happen but sure go for it I'll be training you in controlling your movements and speed as well as sensing your opponent's actions but here are a few rule's" Goku stood up attentively prepared to listen "First rule of Popo's training don't talk about Popo's training." "Why's that familiar" Goku frowned "And I came up with it! Anyway second rule of Popo's training well there are no other rules but pretend there are." then they were interrupted by another voice "So Popo another one huh?" Goku turned towards the sound of the voice before his eyes widened in anger "You I thought I killed you!" Goku charged with killing intent but was knocked aside quickly " "Guess Korrin didn't explain anything to you he always thought that was funny" "Explain what?" Goku frowned "Well young one King Piccolo and I were once part of the same being but we split apart so I could take up the post of Earth's guardian and before you ask yes I will recreate Shenron as a thanks for your efforts and also yes I have telepathy that's how I know what your thinking. "Oh uh, thanks," Goku said unsure how to proceed "However before I forget you must train with me and Mr. Popo" Popo waved at his name's mention. "For the next 3 years in preparation for the battle with Piccolo Jr at the next tournament."
Age 753 (Olympus)
"So Hermes any news on the ordeal on earth?" Zeus asked somewhat amused "Well Zeus Piccolo Daimao was killed," Hermes said disgusted that Zeus thought of him as nothing more than an errand boy "What the fuck who? Was it an Amazonian?" "Well brother it was a tween-sized brat," Poseidon said dryly Zeus frowned "Pretty shit demon king then" "Brother as the lord of the underworld, and for the millionth time he's not a demon!" Hades said annoyed "And believe me I know my demons." Demeter frowned "That fiend destroyed many natural places" "And I'm about to lose a lot of income because someone reactivated the dragon balls!" Hades said peeved at the thought "God of the Death? sure riches? not so much" Apollo mocked "Thanatos is the god of death you buffon! Then again I guess the sun fried your brain!" Hades yelled "Silence! you argue like the apes we created!" Hera said annoyed at the meeting as it was "Well it was Thunder heads idea though most of the cast didn't even show up united group my ass!" "Poseidon you-" "Oh go back to porking another woman Zeus!" Poseidon said not listening to his crap "I hate every single one of you" Hermes muttered.
Age 753 (Themyscira)
"So you're telling me the boy handled the situation?" Artermis asked another Amazonian "Seems like the destruction has ceased and mankind seems to have found their champion well more like champions." Artermis sighed "Tell Her Majesty we have paperwork to do now."
"So you're implying that the boy that came to our island a few years ago defeated Piccolo Daimao?" Hippolyta said slightly surprised "Yes according to Hermes hence why we stopped war preparation I guess that boy had some potential." "No wonder why Diana got so much stronger during her time with the boy and his friends and the usage of ki has accelerated many Amazonian's training by leaps and bounds although it also made her rebellious it seems." Hippolyta sighed remembering her daughter's last words a few days ago before she went off to man's world once again the other Amazonian saw the expression and quickly comforted her "Don't fret your Highness you did nothing wrong it was merely man's corruption that got to her." "No I could tell Diana made some great friends out there and after hearing of such destruction she feared for them compassion is a good thing you know sets warriors and killers apart sending her out there was a blessing no matter how much it may seem like a mistake she deserved free reign over her destiny she got a chance to see both sides of the same world women aren't all good something she probably thought otherwise she'll always be welcome back but ultimately it's her choice she has matured both physically and mentally thanks to those adventures and far less cocky and single-minded as she once was and all things considered she picked a pretty righteous group of friends" she added the last part with a smile.
Age 753 (With Diana)
Diana still thought it was a bit impulsive of herself to leave Themyscira but she wanted to see her friends once again, especially after hearing about the trouble that had down it had been almost three years since she saw her friends last yet her time with them was some of the most memorable times she ever had she had missed them all especially Goku her first friend in man's world and turned from friendship to affection that borderlines a crush she still blushed every time she thought about it which didn't help her hormones one bit though more than anything her Amazonian passion for a good fight was ignited at the prospect of a rematch with Son Goku at what better time than at the 23rd strongest under the heavens tournament in three years a long wait and time to be on her own but a worthwhile wait and in the meantime, she would train as what's better to do after all?
Age 753 (With Clark)
As the Kryptonian flew around Metropolis he still thought about his time with his new friends while it was brief finding others with superpowers who wanted to help the world was a great experience and he even got their contacts so they could hang out sometimes something he rarely did as a kid except Goku who didn't know what a phone was much to Clark's amusement. His battle with King Piccolo was a scary experience that made him decide that training in martial arts may be necessary to fight foes around and above his level something he should have known would happen thankfully Goku had had the dragon balls restored and fixed the mess the demon king caused and training so far had gone well while ki wasn't necessary for combat thanks to his Kryptonian powers he was impressed with the uses of ki sense and other utilities he also admired his human friends who had to train to gain their extraordinary power while a big-headed billionaire genius Lex Luthor had a problem with Clark and his heroism claiming it to be weakening humanity why he couldn't be like his human friends who saw strength as a goal to reach he doesn't know all he did know was after hearing about the 30th Tenkaichi Budokai in three years he was excited to challenge the strong warriors that could appear.
Age 754 (With Barry) 754 was intentional BTW.
After his tag team fight with Tien against Piccolo he had not faced such a challenge and he bonded with the tri clops over their shared experience frankly he was happy to be back and learning the secrets to his powers such as the speed force and frankly he was excited to test his abilities against strong opponents who could react to his attacks hence his excitement to go to the 30th world martial arts tournament he had also met a few other hero's including J'onn J'onzz another alien with a kind soul as well as green arrow and black canary a duo of crime fighters along with the infamous caped crusader batman the magician duo of Zatara and Zatanna another soon to be known alien duet Shayera and Katar Hol from the planet Thanagar they had been thinking for a while about forming a crime-fighting group but weren't sure how to create it the z fighters was already an unofficial group though Flash hoped Tien and Chiaotzu could join in with them as for Goku he had not been seen for a year now as he was training with a guy called Kami apparently whoever that is.
Age 755 (With Goku)
"So what's next Kami?" Goku asked the god eager to learn more Kami sighed "Well I ought to teach you a few things about the pecking order of the universe well at least for godly beings such as myself," Goku frowned "And that's important why? I mean you said yourself that you're not truly divine." Kami growled annoyed "I don't care about what I said in fact I revoke what I said I own the planet so I can do that! and if you don't agree I'll call Mr Popo Goku hastily backed up "Ok I agree just please don't bring him into this." Kami nodded satisfied "Good though I kind of lied I would never send Popo onto anyone I wouldn't wish such a fate on even Garlic Junior" "Who's that and why is his name so stupid?" Goku asked "Oh never mind anyway the whole hierarchy is planetary god's protectors of planets such as myself and yes I'm the lowest on my made-up chart how humble of me next are the Kai's govern other sectors of the galaxy after that are the god's of the pantheons such as the Olympian's then are the grand kai although they are weaker than pantheon gods they don't much like Kai's and myself need worshippers to survive then after that is the Hakaishin also known as the god of destruction and stronger than anything else I mentioned so far by leaps and bounds and our local one's name is-" "And I'm above all those maggots!" Mr Popo said ominously no one argued with his overwhelming presence "And then there's random cosmic beings that are basically irrelevant unless they wake up then they are everyone's problem as for mortals I have no clue being an outcast and all." "What?" Goku asked mouth agape "Oh never mind Goku!" then Mr Popo chimed in "And their dirt beneath my feet as well!" A claim no one dared disagree with.
Age 756 (23rd world tournament Diana's POV)
The Amazonian aged 18 flew towards the island where the tournament was set to take place wearing a cloak to cover from some of the sharp night air as she made her way around the world she kept the cloak despite it being warm now that it was the day the hero "Wonder Woman" had become famous over the three years she spent alone in man's world it was lonely but her sense of justice and warrior spirit kept her going throughout it all and she along with other hero's around the world were part of the "Golden age of Superhero's" something which supposedly started with Son Goku defeating Demon king Piccolo supposedly something she didn't mind though as she finally saw the island she dived down prepared to see her friends once again.
Age 756 (23rd world tournament)
By now pretty much all future league members and Z-fighters had arrived some to participate some to support "When will Goku get here?" Krillin wondered "Soon enough I hope I would hate for him to miss it" Clark replied "I wish to meet this Son Goku myself," J'onn J'oonz said calmly the rest who hadn't met him sympathized with this and his close friends also hoped he would come. As they continued to chat Yamcha pointed to the sky "Look, guys!" Everyone looked up seeing a hooded figure that seemed feminine the figure regarded them before pulling down the hood and then jacket revealing Diana stunning and curvy clad in her battle armor with her dark hair hanging loose and blue eye's regarding some of them curiously, most of the group stood there slack-jawed at her appearance not just her looks but the fact she turned up at all "Diana what brings you around here?" Krillin asked curiously "Well Krillin I came here to participate in the tournament anyway it's nice to see you guy's" As she looked around the group eyes sparkled her eyes slightly dimmed when she saw Goku was not there "Don't tell me Goku's not going to the tournament?" Diana said slightly downcast "He should be here soon but you never know with him." Bulma said the two exchanged hugs "Well I hope he does cause the tournament will start soon!" Barry said slightly nervous Zatanna frowned "He should know a levitation spell so he shouldn't struggle to reach the island." Diana looked surprised "He learned magic?" "Yup!" Zatanna replied as they continued talking a figure floated in wearing clothes and a white turban "Hey guys it's me Goku!" the Saiyan said grinning "And I'm Piccolo move on pal!" Yamcha said disbelievingly the rest of the group had a similar sentiment considering how Goku was at sixteen whilst Martian manhunter smiled knowingly though his telepathy. "Come on guys I'm serious!" He took the turban off "I have the hairstyle and everything!" as everyone shook their head Goku inspected them before asking "Zatanna why is there blood on your lips! and yours Bulma and a lot of people what happened here!?" now everyone had no doubts it was clearly him."
"Ok, Goku what happened to you?" Krillin asked surprised "Yeah you grew a lot." Bulma added surprised at the growth spurt "What do you mean? I'm just Goku." "Um, Goku we are talking about your height you were the size of a child at 16 now you are almost taller than me!" Diana said "Oh really? he walked up the her and stood next to her "Oh I really am!" Goku grinned Tien walked up to him "How was the training?" "With Kami? That was pretty good actually!" Goku replied J'onn walked up to him "So you are the infamous Son Goku it's nice to meet you." Goku eagerly shook his hand "Hello what's your name?" "It's J'onn J'oonz but just call me John Jones." Goku nodded "Ok John Jones!" everyone laughed at this "Anyway who here is participating in this tournament?" "Well most of us." Krillin said "Speaking of which let's get ready for this tournament already!" something everyone agreed with then a large green man stepped in cutting off their conversation "So chump you ready to be bodied or what?" Piccolo Jr sneered causing everyone to glare at him in annoyance for one reason or another Piccolo Jr smiled "Don't remember you being so quiet but suit yourself and while you're at it prepare to lose!" he cackled before leaving Goku frowned "I'll teach him another lesson if I must."
The tournament began with the one's of the main group participating were Goku Diana Clark Krillin Yamcha Barry Tien J'onn and Chiaotzu whilst the rest watched from the stands cheering them on as they swept through their first opponents except Chiaotzu who was brutally beaten by Mercenary Tao who survived and sought revenge on everyone but Chiaotzu was avenged by Tien in the next round despite Tao's sneaky antics and while the rest beat their opponents easily Goku fought against an unknown warrior later known to be Chi Chi as she asks him if he wants to get married Goku rejected the offer pointing out they barely know each other which made Chi Chi realize her feelings were irrational, to say the least. Next was Krillin vs Piccolo and while Krillin put up a decent fight sadly the demon was toying with him and promptly defeated Krillin. Next was Diana vs Clark which was quite even but once Diana utilized her superior experience she won out against the Kryptonian after was Barry vs Yamcha and while Yamcha had far greater experience Barry's strength and speed eventually won out defeating the former bandit. Then the warrior known simply as Hero defeated Oliver with relative ease despite his appearance but based on the fighting style Goku realized it was Kami who came in disguise to defeat Piccolo.
The next rounds were Goku vs Diana Barry vs Tien Hero vs random fodder and Piccolo vs Martian Manhunter.
Goku vs Diana started intense with Goku immediately starting with rapid ki blasts to try to trip her up but she blocked and then charged at him engaging him with flurries of sword strikes before sweeping his leg with her lasso then all of a sudden Goku said "reh part!" trapping her in powerful vines before hitting her with rapid ki blasts then as she escaped he launched his solar flare blinding her before attempting to hit her out but she recovered fast and performed a shield bash then grabbing his head and dragging it through the ground before throwing him up then Goku chanted "noitativel" and began to be able to float then he charged a massive Kamehameha before launching it at her but she dodged it flying into the sky to meet him and they fought in the sky exchanging blow for blow evenly matched until Goku phased above and hammer slammed her into the floor before diving down and chanting "roolf evom!" tipping her onto the floor and outside the ring as she recovered much to her surprise Goku grinned at her before they shook hands finalizing the match.
Next was Barry vs Tien as the two now close friends sized each other up Barry went for a quick jab hitting him before darting away the flash repeated this twice more before Tien tripped him as he went out after another jab knocking him down before delivering three punishing blows as the flash dodged a fourth and darted out this time he charged straight ahead and Tien prepared Barry hit him with many blows before Tien struck with his own the only one he landed Tien realized at this rate he would loose especially if Barry went for his signature attack so he needed to stop him moving as the only good blows he landed were when he was knocked down so Tien jumped up performing the solar flare blinding him as he rapidly recovered he was hit by a Dodon ray and then a few punches dealing high damage as he jumped back Barry prepared to try and knock him out fast but Tien after a few exchanges guessed his goal and performed the 4 witches technique before rapidly delivering painful blows to the speedster who was caught of guard by his sudden speed increase but quickly adjusted skyrocketing past his speed and attempting to confuse Tien by dashing around him smacking him with multiple hits but then Tien jumped up and charged a another solar flare blinding him once again before charging a powerful Dodon ray and hitting the tiles next to Barry sending him flying right out of the arena sealing him victory. (Note if this was blood lusted Barry would win by just running through him but this is a tournament, not a battle to the death just saying before someone complains)
Now was Hero who defeated the random with ease and then finally for this round was Piccolo vs J'onn
The two green aliens acknowledged respectfully before J'onn looked into his mind seeing a being that reminded him of his brother whilst Piccolo saw someone similar to Kami the duo quickly charged midair attacking with laser beams before they engaged in melee combat each trying to beat down the other quickly Piccolo then attempted to choke Martian Manhunter but J'onn morphed into a giant dragon roaring before Piccolo went giant and the engaged in a epic Kaiju battle each impressing the other claw swipes and punches were exchanged before the Martian grabbed him and flew up before slamming Piccolo into the ground and then the duo went back to normal and J'onn opened up with telekinesis throwing boulders at high speeds towards Piccolo and the Namekian responded similarly before the manhunter had Piccolo pinned prepared for the knockout but Piccolo hit him with a point blank mouth blast knocking him out of the ring top half blown off though luckily his regeneration was incredible and he looked at the former demon king impressed before the match ended.
Then the semi-finals were Goku vs Tien and Hero vs Piccolo the former just beginning as Tien had an early lead thanks to his speed however unlike against Diana Goku had yet to take off his weighted clothing but as he did the tide turned quickly and Goku beat him out in strength and speed however Tien's eye blasts were dangerous and as he used the multiform technique they got deadlier despite the weakening it caused however Goku then used the solar flare blinding all 4 Tien's before dispatching of each Tien easily thanks to splitting Tien's power into 4.
Then Hero vs Piccolo commences and Piccolo is surprised about his power before reading his thoughts and eventually finding out he's Kami at first amused before terrified realizing Kami may willingly commit suicide Piccolo dies along with him but Kami assures him he had no such intentions and instead revealed a jar preparing an evil containment wave but Piccolo reflected it back and Kami left his host so he would not be trapped to and Piccolo won by default then Piccolo looked at Goku before swallowing the bottle and saying "If you wanna free Kami you'll have to kill me therefor killing him as well!"
Goku vs Piccolo Jr
As the pair started they started exchanging blows but quickly Piccolo decided to try and destroy the arena and everyone watching scaring them but Goku deflected it and then attempted it again but Goku countered with the Super Kamehameha destroying Piccolo's clothes which revealed he was like king piccolo scaring the crowd away and meaning Goku could fight without worry and after Piccolo went giant Goku dived into his belly retrieving the bottle with Kami sealed and then escaped before Piccolo changed back to normal realizing it was pointless and they began to fight intensely but then Piccolo landed an antenna beam stunning him before following up with chasing bullet but Goku made it hit Piccolo Jr instead and after an intense fight and another Kamehameha the announcer starts the countdown but Piccolo launched a mouth beam tearing into Goku's shoulder however after another exchange Goku triumphed defeating Piccolo and winning the tournament and after celebrations the gang moved on ready to head off to their next adventure.
