Chapter 9 the guardian smith of the river
Gwenyth awoke in a area she had never seen before the last thing she remembered she was fly over a volcano to Colestid coals to restock her forge so she continue to work on her latest masterpiece she was a odd bird for her race where as most of her species made weapons for the other creatures of her world she preferred making art sculptures with her forge she hated war with a passion war took her mother from her before she had hatched and soldiers killed her auntie just for refusing to make weapons for them to kill others with she saw no point to war but the one thing she could be thankful for was that she could melt down all the weapons of the dead soldiers and use it to make her sculptures the one thing close to weaponry that she did like was the helmet her supposedly wore when she was in the great gahoolian army helmets were the the one piece of war gear she would make she was also forced by father and auntie to wear battle claws a set of metal Knife like devices that fit over her talons and made it to where she could cut through trees like they twigs gwenyth decided to go for a flight to stretch her wings and also take a look around her new surroundings to get a better grip on where she was and as she took off she noticed she was was on a island in the middle of a large lake with what seemed to be a pine tree forest going one way and a elm forest going the other way surrounded by what looked like a unused quarry which gwenyth took a mental note of so she could maybe find some rocks to get some metal out of another island surrounded by a river and lastly a large open exspance of flat moor land and when she looked closer she could see small creatures the same shape as mountain lion cubs now she knew mountain lions were dangerous they would often pluck owls out of the sky and eat them but gwenyth thought she could take on the small mountain lions in a fight if she had to her father had taught her the basics of Ariel combat and as she got closer to the ground on the moor land three of the miniature mountain lions brought her down and pinned her down to the ground one was a male who was lithe and scrawny with black fur another was a small lithe brown male with one black ear and long scars across his back with amber eyes and the last was a wiry mottled dark brown male with green eyes the one that knocked her down And pinned her said well well well looks like we got ourselves a meal what do you think mud claw should we kill it but the weird thing is it has a piece of two leg material on its head we might as well answered the dark brown wiry male who gwenyth assumed must be mud claw I say we play with her first what a splendid idea hound leap mud claw said to the black male and just as hound leap hit gwenyth forward so she hit mud claws paws a new one of the miniature mountain lions appeared out from behind a bush this one was a female with dappled golden fur and amber eyes the first thing the new female did was was tackle the last remaining one of gwenyths attackers who she had yet to know the name of to the ground which gave gwenyth enough time in the confusion to scratch mud claw and hound leap with her battle claws and take a chunk out of hound leaps ear and when gwenyth looked in the direction of her savior she noticed she had ant pelt and mud claw backed into a corner with such speed and agility that that gwenyth knew for certain that her savior was a well trained fighter but the owl could tell she could use some help so gwenyth dove down towards the two males with her battle claws fully extended and at the ready and she grabbed ant pelt by his tail and then gwenyth noticed that the miniature mountain lion was light enough for her to start carrying him into the sky which was a unique feat for her because the heaviest thing gwenyth had carried before in her world was her tools that she Often carried with her and this miniature mountain lion was at least twice the size of her normal pray which were rats and when she got to a proper height gwenyth dropped her load hoping the ground would kill ant pelt and her plan worked like a charm ant pelt hit the ground with a thud and mad a small crater in the ground and didn't get up but then hound Leap who gwenyth had forgotten about appeared and wailed the name of his fallen friend to the sky and then mud claw and hound leap quickly picked up ant pelts body and ran off but not before saying this isn't over yet we will be back for that owl later to which gwenyths new friend and savior respond with over mine and the whole of river clans dead bodies so with the danger over with for now the miniature mountain lion introduced herself as moth wing the medicine cat of river clan and I unfortunately know one of your attackers the wiry mottled brown one his name is mud claw and he used to the deputy of the clan that lives here know as wind clan but I don't know why he was out here with those two rouges to which gwenyth introduced herself and also named the other rouges as ant pelt and and hound leap and then moth wing started studying Gwenyth very closely and when the owl asked the medicine cat what she was doing moth wing explained that her job as a medicine cat was to use herbs roots berries and flowers to make poultice's and elixirs to help clean feel better from any and all injuries and and sickness as well as interpret the signs of star clan which confused gwenyth greatly and when she asked moth wing what star clan was the cat answered with star clan is supposedly the place where all warriors go when they die and watch over all living cats as well as giving medicine cats prophecies about things that threaten the clans and gwenyth mentioned that star clan sounds a lot like glaumora the place where good owls go when they Die and star clan sounded like a good set of beliefs and at least she had name for these small mountain lions now they were cats and when gwenyth asked moth wing why she said star clan was supposedly where all the good cats went did she not believe in it and please answer me truthfully moth wing who moth wing answered it involves one of my brothers and how he faked a sign from star clan to get her in the post of medicine cat apprentice and when the river clan deputy got abducted by two legs when they were destroying the former forest home that all four of the clans lived in he took her duties and he was unjustly hostile towards the other three clans and would even chase off other medicine cats when they came to the river to collect herbs from the river we used to live by even though it was against the warrior code and when gwenyth asked moth wing what the warrior code was the she cat explained that the warrior code was a set of rules that every cat was supposed to follow to gain their right to enter star clan and those that broke them were sent to a place called the dark forest when they did die where there was hardly any prey and no light and no companions until the clans forgot about them then they would fade away and gwenyth remembered hearing about something similar to the owl's of her world known as hags fiends dark creatures of magic which were part crow part owl and they supposedly caused a lot of problems for the ancient owls and the dark forest cats sounded just like the hags fiends but she could guess that they deserved it for not following the rules of their ancestors but who were the ancestors to determine how the living cats should live their lives but she was also upset with her new friends brother who was he to pretend to be the great ancestors and to put so much responsibility on her shoulders to take care of the whole clan and then moth wing spoke and said sorry where are my manners would you like to stay in river clan or I can maybe get my friend in thunder clan to look after you until gwenyth found a way home to which the female owl answered wholeheartedly that she would love to stay in river clan and climbed up onto moth wings back and as the pair of females began walking back towards river clan gwenyth found something in the water of a pond what ever it was it was made of metal of some type and when gwenyth pulled the box out of the pond it was a box with a key hole in it and when moth wing asked why she pulled it out of the pond and gwenyth explained that she could use the material the box was made out of to make something else like what moth wing asked and the she owl answered with how about some containers for carrying water or the plants you use or maybe something to make it easier to grind your plants and berries or maybe something similar to the battle claws on my talons or my helmet if you like I just need rocks to melt down to get the material out of to which moth wing answered that would be very helpful gwenyth thank you and then all of a sudden a small stick with little pricks on the end of It came down to the ground and gwenyth responded with it looks like the key designed for the box and when moth wing asked what a key was the female owl explained that the key can be used to make the box able to easily open and close and when gwenyth opened the box she gasped and said my tools the things that I use for my craft of black smithing now if only I could have access to a small cave for my forge for melting down the rocks and metal to which when gwenyth mentioned that she needed a cave moth wing Was surprised because she had never heard of any creature that could melt rocks much less any clan cat that lived in the lake territory and moth wing agreed to help her find new friend find a way to get a forge and as they were on their way back to the river clan camp they found two piles of rocks that were smooth and when moth wing looked at the stones she saw a smaller version of herself looking back at her and then gwenyth said I can actually use these flint rocks to start a fire and start melting down rocks and start making things from the metal inside that I said I would for you if you don't mind that is moth wing now I just need sand and a small cave for the fire and the shapes that they will be in and moth wing said I have both of those things in my den in the river clan camp right by it if you like to which the female owl answered yes that would be lovely and it would also give us a lot more time to get to know about each other as well i think it would be nice to have some company that doesn't need my help constantly with some sickness or injury especially the thorn in the paw pads or helping them deliver kittens said moth wing and as the pair got into the river clan camp two new cats came up to them one was a lithe pale blue gray female with thick sleek fur a pink nose a plumy tail and ice blue eyes the other was a dappled golden furred female with amber eyes moth wing introduced them as misty foot and leopard star the leader and deputy of river clan and moth wing also introduced gwenyth to the two females and told them what she could apparently do which seemed to impress leopard star with the mention of gwenyth skills and said she would like to see a demonstration of it later And misty foot agreed with leopard star but then a new cat appeared out of a bush the new cat was a male with dark brown fur and a white underbelly and ice blue eyes and he quickly rounded on moth wing and said where have you been I needed you to inspect my paw earlier this morning to which moth wing said well sorry but I had to go out to get herbs to help the clan and then all of a sudden a new black male cat stepped between them and said alright that's enough no more arguing and the dark brown Tom responded with you stay out of this tadpole tail and gwenyth then thought to herself so that's the names of the two males and leopard star butted in with hawk frost if you're going to act like a spoiled kitten who just got out of the nursery maybe you should help the queens get ready for their next litters of kittens to which hawk frost glared at leopard star but sulked off towards a rocky den which moth wing explained was her den and hawk frost came out with a load of moss and bracken in his jaws and went towards a larger den which gwenyth assumed was the the nursery and leopard star said now that's that's dealt with she asked tadpole tail if he would like to join her and misty foot on a hunting patrol to which the Tom happily agreed to with a purr of delight and introduced himself to gwenyth and thanked the owl for agreeing to be friends with moth wing since she could always use more of them which surprised the owl since moth wing seemed like a nice creature and when gwenyth asked her new cat friend why she didn't have many friends to which moth wing answered it probably has to do with my tadpole tail and hawk frost father was he supposedly was some kind of monster that queens would often tell to scare their kittens his name was tiger claw and he did unspeakable things in search of power for himself and not even caring who he had to kill to get what he wanted he even killed his own best friend and he tried to kill his original clan leader as well as when he got kicked out of his original clan he unleashed a pack of dogs on the original thunder clan and tried to get his original leader flattened by a two leg monster and didn't even show any remorse when a younger cat got hit instead leaving her unable to properly walk because one of her back legs still has a limp to this day and he also killed a elderly cat who took care of both misty foot and her brother from a cat called blue fur just to keep the secret of misty foot and her brother being half clan cats which he later revealed himself and almost tried to murder two other half clan kittens thankfully he got killed by the leader of another group of cats from the city that was just outside of the forest we all used to live in they called themselves blood clan and the cat who lead them and murdered tiger claw was was named scourge he was a small black cat with one white paw and ice blue eyes and glossy fur with a piece of two leg material around his neck from his time as a kitty pet which is what the clan cats call cats that live as pets of two legs and eat the hard pellets that look more like rabbit droppings than real food and then gwenyth asked the question that had been dying to know ever since she met moth wing so what happened you and your brothers live here in river clan and moth wing began with well the story behind that is once when we were young we decided to go for a hunt because we thought we could catch our own prey so as soon as our mother left for the day to go hunt for us we left until we came across the smell of mouse which was actually our favorite piece of prey our mother would bring back we went into a abandoned two leg den we got in through a flap of what looked like stone but it was completely clear and once we got inside it started to rain heavily and the den started filling up with water and before we knew it the water was almost up to our heads and unfortunately our mother found us but she wasn't a strong swimmer either but just when we thought we were all going to drown a cat we had never met before came in through the clear stone and started to swim to us and carry us one at a time until all four of us were out he was a lean long haired light brown male with a pale belly wide shoulders and golden eyes he said his name was mud fur and that he had come here from his territory in search of herbs for his clan mates and our mother agreed to help him to repay him for saving our lives and that was how me and my brothers became river clan cats and I started training to be a hunter with misty foot but my heart just wasn't in it at all I find much more fulfilling to heal my clan mates rather then hurting another cat and as mother wing finished speaking a new she cat came out of some bushes which made moth wing fluff up her fur to twice it size the new she cat a tawny colored sleek furred cat with a darker mouth and tail and ear fur with blue eyes and moth wing was the first to speak by saying mother what are you doing here to which the new she cat answered with this is the last chance I'm willing to give you either you can come with me and leave the clans to come home with me or I and one of your brothers who I'm not going to tell you which one will work with all the hatred and vengeance inside our hearts to destroy the clans and all they stand for to which moth wing and gwenyth responded with over our dead bodies and gwenyth went up into the sky so she could maybe help her new friend by dive bombing the new she cat but just as the she owl got a hold on moth wings mother a dark brown paw slammed on her back it was hawk frost he had his claws extended in her back which felt like little knives to the owl and then when she tried to take off the ground with him three new cats joined hawk frost and pinned gwenyth to the ground one was a pale gray furred male another was a glossy furred light brown she cat with a battered muzzle and the last was a small mottled brown she cat but just as hawk frost was about to bite gwenyths throat and kill her he said well Mrs owl do you have any final words for my sister before I end you but just as soon as he finished talking seven bright points of light came down from the sky four of the pin points landed around gwenyth and the other three came around moth wing as the pin points started circling around the battle field they began to take on the form of cats and as they solidified they were cats one was a male with long silver fur and green eyes the next was a slender orange and white female with golden eyes the next was a dark brown male with golden eyes the next was another slender orange and white she cat but this one had green eyes instead of gold ones the next was a slender soft furred silver female with a plumy tail the next was a huge light brown male with green eyes and a twisted jaw and the last one was a exact copy of how moth wing described mud fur to gwenyth and with out a moment's hesitation the new cats started attacking their enemies and the silver long furred male seemed to be the leader dappled pelt dawn mist you two take the two on the left wing me and moss tail will take the other two and the rest of you help moth wing to which the other three cats gladly agreed to with a enthusiastic yes sir and they quickly were able to deal with all of their opponents running to the pine forest all except for hawk frost who was standing his ground as all of the cats and one owl were starting to surround him and the silver male who dappled pelt addressed him as river star went for hawk frost throat and killed him by biting through his throat and a new male came out of the pine forest and began speaking which seemed to scare the silver female with the plumy tail because she bushed up her fur and said to the new male cat no your supposed to be dead and then the new male who was a long limbed with black fur with a brown underbelly a long tail and amber eyes and he responded with so are you but I guess not even star clan can can get it right all the time to which the silver she cat respond with while I don't know how you came back I'll make certain to pu you back in the dark forest where you belong the new male didn't seem worried by her threat all he did was step on hawk frost shadow and a new cat came out of hawk frost shadow the first thing the new cat said was tiger star how may I be of assistance to your great and glorious plan to the long limbed new Tom cat then the newly named tiger star said why are you here dark stripe I thought I was summoning my son from the dark forest not some cat who couldn't even win a fight against a half starved half clan weakling on his own weren't you supposed to be guarding the star clan cats like I told you to to which the cat dark stripe respond with hawk frost agreed to let me have his body as a way back because he said it would be better for him since he was apparently better at torture Than I could ever be to which tiger star said yes that would be better so I will give you a choice either help my plan by attacking these fools while me and my new mate here leave or I can kill you here and now to which dark stripe reacted by leaping two arcs moth wing only for the Tom with the crooked jaw to to slam his paws on dark stripes back to hold him in place while moth wings mother and tiger claw ran into the pine forest which according to moth wing was shadow clans territory and then she said the strange she cat was her mother Sasha and then the unnamed cats introduced them selves the first was the huge light brown Tom with green eyes and the twisted jaw who introduced himself as crooked jaw the former leader of river clan before leopard star next was the silver soft furred female cat with a plumy tail who introduced herself as feather tail one of the cats who came from the older forest territory on the original group of six cats who unfortunately lost her life and then the last Tom introduced himself as mud fur the last medicine cat before moth wing and the father of leopard star which made dappled tail and river star stare at him questioning and then the the long furred silver Tom with green eyes asked did you conceive her before or after you Became a medicine cat apprentice to which mud fur answered with before of course I know that the medicine cat code doesn't allow us to have mates or kits and I would never willingly break that code of my own choice to which river star let out a purr of laughter as did dappled pelt who looked embarrassed because moth wing was bowing in front of the she cat asking her for lessons on how to heal her clan better and how to fix her connection with star clan to which dappled pelt responded with your connection with star clan I would find it a great honor to help you with but as for healing your clan mates I'm afraid my skills are a little bit rusty and you could help me there since I don't know a single thing about this lake to which moth wing said alright so let's get back to camp so we can start our lessons together to which mud fur said don't forget about me I need training as well in these plants of the lake as well which got a purr out of the two she cats and then gwenyth came up to dappled pelt and asked her why moth wing was bowing to her and then the she cat explained that she was one of the original five medicine cats for all five of the clans and then crooked star said not to be rude but don't you Mean four clans Mrs dappled pelt and then river star asked have none of you never heard of sky clan to which all of the cats said no we have not to which dappled pelt river star moss tail and dawn mist all let out a horrified gasp and said in unison how could none of you know of the original first clan to which river star began to explain that back when the original first clan cats traveled from their home in the mountains the first cat to separate from them was a male named clear sky and actually you have him to thank for camps and borders that you are so protective of which was a shock to all of the modern clan cats and gwenyth who all asked in unison well than what happened to this sky clan I was getting to that said river star do you know the current leader of thunder clan fire star and how he came from a two leg den to which all the modern cats responded with yes we do well that was where the former sky clan camp was and when two legs destroyed the camp the cats of sky clan asked the other four clans for help them by either giving up part of their territory or by taking in the members of sky clan which both were refused by the other clans but they did except for thunder clan who took in the mate and kits of The leader of sky clan who were unable to travel where did they go asked mud fur to which river star answered of that I can unfortunately not say the only thing I can tell you is that they wound up in a gorge far enough away that the normal star clan could not reach them and eventually they got wiped out by a hoard of rats then why are you telling us about them now moth wing asked just to make us feel bad about Something our ancestors did to which dappled pelt quickly answered with actually no moth wing because you are actually a descendant of the cats who stayed behind in thunder clan after the exile of sky clan from your father's bloodline which was a shock to all of the modern cats which made crooked jaw say well at least that explains part of what made tiger claw so evil I always knew he was but I never knew my clan could have such cruelty in it but dawn mist corrected him by saying well no he was not born evil he and his mentor thistle claw trained in the dark forest by one of its residents how does that not surprise me said crooked jaw but let's get back to camp since the suns about to go down to which all of the cats agreed to since it was getting late and they had been talking almost the whole afternoon now and as they entered the camp they came across a black male cat with a purple piece of two leg material around his neck and one white front paw but the most defined thing about him was that he had what looked like dog teeth sticking out of the notches in the piece of two leg material and on top of his claws as well he had a group of at least twenty other cats with him and mud fur and feather tail seemed to be afraid of these cats and when crooked jaw asked why this new cat scared them feather tail explained that the new male was scourge the cat who killed tiger claw as well as took fire stars first life to which scourge answered with and how is my goody four paws of a half brother to which feather tail responded maybe you should go over to that big hole in the mountains and ask him yourself as she lunged at him but scourge just swatted her away with the back of his paw and shouted blood clan attack to which all of the cats in scourge's group started attacking the river clan camp but then leopard star shouted river clan show these invaders what were made of to which the whole of river clan began fighting the blood clan which proved to be a easy fight because the blood clan cats poor training and as scourge and his group were fleeing two new male cats who gwenyth had never seen before were leading the charge along side misty foot and another new male cat and then a new she cat came up to gwenyth group and started inspecting them like she were looking for injuries and then the new she cat who had a pale coat of fur asked did tiny do any of the injuries you received and when gwenyth asked who tiny was the new male cat who had a black fur coat with a white muzzle and paws as well as a white tail tip answered she means scourge he was our litter mate in the house folk den we used to live in but he fell in with a bad crowd of cats when he was younger as for why ruby over here called him tiny that was his name during our kitten hood and then gwenyth answered with no he and his group got here before us we got attacked by another group lead by another cat called tiger claw and just as gwenyth finished her explanation the two males who chased off the blood clan with all of river clan back into the camp itself and reported they had chased scourge and his group into a pine forest to which leopard star said that's a relief there shadow clan's problem now. Thank you for your assistance fire star but now it's time for you to go back to your own clan to which the new male who was a Tom cat with a flame colored coat and green eyes looked at the river clan leader with a confused look on his face and said sorry mam but my names not fire star I'm Jake oh my mistake then said leopard star you just look like another leader from a different clan to which Jake answered perfectly fine miss leopard star now would you mind telling me where I can find a clan cat by the name of tall tail to which leopard star gained a look of sadness on her face and said I regret to inform you that tall tail died about seven sunrises ago to which Jake answered dejected it's not your fault he was just a friend I kept from losing his soul for trying to get revenge on a cat for supposedly killing his father only to find out that his father sacrificed his life trying to save the other cat he wanted revenge on which caused all the cats around to gasp in shock and leopard star said I never even knew that about tall star and then Jake asked why did you call him tall star instead of tall tail to which leopard star responded with well you see eventually your friend became the leader of wind clan and led them for many seasons the thing that killed him was his old age which officially made me the oldest leader and then she noticed mud fur and tackled him to to the ground and started licking him all over his fur and said father I missed you so much I missed you too my little kit mud fur responded to leopard star and then misty foot went up to the other cat who lead the charge with Jake to get rid of blood clan and spoke to him she asked him why he never told her and stone fur about who their mother was and that he was their father the male had dark brown reddish fur with amber eyes and then crooked jaw cuffed the new male on the head and said mouse brain if you told me they were your kits I would have protected them with my life or did you forget that my mate was half wind clan to which the new male who misty foot called oak heart said sorry brother Blue star told me to never reveal the truth to any cat which was a surprise to all of the younger river clan cats and then three new cats appeared on top of the ridge where the river clan came from being led by a pin point of light like the ones that river star dawn mist moss tail dappled pelt crooked jaw mud fur and feather tail came from one was a male with gray fur golden eyes and a ear with a notch in it the next was a female with a light brown fur coat and a thick tail with a white tip and under belly and chest and paws and lastly was a short furred female with gray fur with blue eyes and a torn ear along with four kits one was a pale orange she kit with green eyes long legs and a pointed chin next was a sandy she kit with long fur next was a pale orange and gray Tom kit and the last kit was a Tom kit with broad shoulders and gray fur with blue eyes and then the male cat with torn ear and gray fur quickly came down the slope and came up to leopard star and said thank goodness we finally got here I never thought we would find you all do you know where thunder clan is to which the river clan leader said yes I do we will have a patrol lead you and your friends there in the morning if you want to which the two female cats agreed to whole heartedly but then another voice yelled wait for us then the last two cats showed up were two males one was white with splotches of black as well as a black tail and paws with blue eyes the other had black fur and white splotches on his chest and a white tail tip with green eyes all of river clan gasped at the new comers and said barley raven paw what are you two doing here we thought you were staying behind in the barn well we were said the black Tom but apparently the two legs that owned the barn didn't want us around any more because they got two new barn cats who made us leave and we came across gray stripe and one of these two females heading towards our barn and the other female cat joined us because the two legs threw her out and then stone fur came from star clan to lead us to where we are now and just as raven paw finished explaining how they got into star clan territory the small pin point of light broke into two and two new cats appeared one was a male with a pale blue fur coat and blue eyes the other looked similar to him except for the fact that it was a female and raven paw exclaimed how can there be two blue stars and all of the river clan cats let out a purr of delight and misty foot said no raven paw there's not a second blue star the male is my brother stone fur who technically died the day you gray stripe and fire star rescued me storm fur and feather tail from our imprisonment in tiger clan to which raven paw came up to stone fur and said I'm sorry for not stopping dark stripe and black foot from killing you and stone fur said all is forgiven that was going to happen anyway no matter what you did if you had helped me tiger claw would have just sent more warriors to kill us and you wouldn't have been able to save the others and just as stone fur finished speaking leopard said well that's all well and good but we don't have enough room in camp for so many new cats to which mud fur responded with now that's just a load of rabbit droppings and you know that you can use the place you've assigned as the elderly den for our guest at least for tonight to which leopard star responded with fine maybe the truth is I think tiger claw had a point when he said we should eliminate all half clan cats and only two clans should rule the territory and any one who agrees with me should leave river clan to help his cause to which the whole of river clan stood up with their fur bristling and all of them hissing at her and crooked jaw said how could you still agree with that fox hearted cowards idea if you are still willing to join that traitor to the way of the clan's rule maybe you should head off to the pine forest to join him then just as leopard star was about to leave for tiger claws camp her body began convulsing and she started talking to herself or at least to something no one could see it seems like she was fighting against some invisible force and then all of a sudden her eyes went bright white and a new voice came out of her mouth it sounded like eight different voices mixed into one the voices started speaking and said this leader leader has given up her right to our gift so as of right now she is no longer worthy of the right to lead a clan or enter star clan so we will be taking her nine lives and give them to the current deputy of river clan who has proven herself ready to lead river clan to a new era of prosperity to which nine pin pricks of light left leopard stars body and went into misty foot and as the light died down nine balls of energy which looked similar to the warriors of star clan except they were black as night and as each ball of energy went into leopard stars lifeless body it convulsed like it was in great pain and once the convulsions subsided the body of leopard star rose to it's paws and said well this is new I guess I need a new name now since I have gained my lives and powers form the dark forest rather than star clan I think my new name should be leopard shroud now just as stars fill the the light full of stars above her head but just as she looked up at it nine of the stars came to to the ground and took the form of cats one gray and white she cat with pale blue eyes another was a sleek broad shoulderd male with black fur and yellow eyes the next was a short furred male with white fur broad shoulders and wide paws with green eyes the next was a short furred male with stripes of yellow land green eyes the next was a short furred female with a white fur coat that had yellow splotches on it and blue eyes the next was a short furred white and yellow she cat with translucent whiskers and green eyes the next was a female with silver and black fur with blue eyes the next was a male with a red bushy tail and lastly was a thick furred reddish brown Tom with green eyes the first to speak was the silver and black furred female who looked a lot like feather tail if gwyenth was being honest with herself to which she let out a meow of laughter and said no worries young smith I am not feather tail I am her mother silver stream and this is unusual but because of the great courage you have shown in defending river clan some of the cats of star clan have decided to give you nine lives with which to help your companion's in saving the the future of the lake territory from the dark forest and all it represents to which gwenyth responded with yes I accept to which silver stream said then with this life I give you the love of a mother for her young and then touched her head to the she owls heart gwenyth felt like a fire was burning inside her gizzard next was the white she cat with yellow splotches and blue eyes she said her name was bubbling stream and she gave gwenyth a stealth of shadows and she touched gwenyth shoulders which caused pain to surge through her shoulders next was the short furred splotched white and yellow she cat with translucent whiskers she was named blue whisker and she gave gwenyth the stamina to fly through the whole forest without ever tiring next was the short furred yellow striped Tom with green eyes he said his name was honey pelt and with this life I give you the sense of wonder of a kitten fresh from outside of the nursery and touched his head to gwenyth feet next was the sort furred broad shouldered white Tom with green eyes he said my name Is spider paw and with this life I give you the dexterity I had in life the next was the pale gray and white she cat with pale blue eyes she said her name was drizzle and gave gwenyth the power to infuse any thing she made the ability to banish the shadows no mater how thick the darkness the red tail who said let's see if you can guess my name to which gwenyth said is your name red tail to which the male cat said I guess it wasn't that hard to guess and with this life I give you the courage to do what's right no matter the consequences last was the thick furred male male with reddish brown fur and green eyes he said his name was pine star and he said that he was the father of tiger star and he said even though I made the biggest mistake of my nine lives when I abandoned my clan leaving mostly for the soft life of a kitty pet I still have the conviction to defend them and attack any enemy of them and if you agree I will give you a special gift as your last life to which gwenyth gladly agreed to and then pine star became a ball of light which went into the she owl and once the light died down gwenyth noticed she was in a new set of armor for her on her wing piece was a symbol that looked like a cat head with a bolt of lightning through it on the breast plate above her heart was another cats head with what looked like waves in a river rushing through it on the helmet was another cats head symbol this one had what looked like wind swirling around it on her talons were what looked like a new set of battle claws with another cats head symbol with a cloud in its center and lastly over her stomach and gizzard piece was another cats head with a pine tree in its center Along with a new weapon for her it looked like a curved stick with a piece of string through it the new weapon had every other symbol on it going through a giant cats head along with a new symbol she noticed no other piece had it looked similar to the others except it had a star on it and silver stream then said look on your back which gwenyth did she saw what looked like a basket designed to hold the arrows that the archers of gahoole would use and then all of a sudden the star clan cats started speaking in unison with these lives and gifts we have given you you will be known as strigistar the new flying defender of all six of the clans and then the cats started chanting strigistar strigistar strigistar and then gwenyth woke up like not even a moment had passed and leopard hole the traitorous river clan leader looked at gwenyth in shock and said no I killed you I slashed your throat like any other piece of fresh kill and how did you get that two leg material on you to which the owl answered well you did and I did go to star clan but now I'm back and my name is strigistar and I will use the powers given to me by star clan to end you and your rain of terror before it can begin and with that she lunged at leopard hole and slashed the treacherous leader's throat with her new battle claws and left her to bleed out but just as it looked like she was dead one of the dark balls sank into the ground and leopard hole ran off into the pine forest and river clan finally went off to their nest for a long overdue rest
