Alarms blared throughout the lab. Terriemron Assistant, Doctor Datamon, and Professor Agumon looked around. "What's happening?" Agumon asked.

"Seems like the humans we've been waiting for have arrived." Datatmon replied.

"And you're sure one of them is Takumi?" Terriemron asked.

"I heard his name from the Directors' lips. Now's our chance. Let's see if we can find out where they moved Ami and Shiki."

"Right!" Agumon and Terriermon nodded.

Takumi ducked under a blue burst of fire from a BlackGarurumon. "Saint Knuckle!" Rapidmon Armor punished it with a powerful punch.

"Black Tornado!" BlackWarGreymon charged into a Devimon then clawed a Kuwagamon.

"Dorugoramon, take the shooters!" Takumi said. Dorugoramon charged into a horde Troopmon. "Good job guys, let's keep up the momentum!"

"Keep pushing!" A Satamon yelled. "Don't let them into the back room!"

"Sounds like we're going the right way." Dorugoramon said.

Ami and Shiki grunted. Not only were they still tied up, but they were dangling from their backs via rope tied off to hooks on the ceiling. Vademon was in the room much to their disgust. K stood nearby as well watching a monitor in front of him showing Takumi and his Digimon fighting. "Yes." K laughed. "You're going exactly where I want you."

"It doesn't matter what trap you set K!" Ami glared. "Takumi will pull through!"

"Big talk from someone in your position, rounder human." Vademon replied.

Ami glared at him. "You should really thank Lilithmon. Because if she didn't tie me so tight, I'd kick you to the moon right about now!"

"Noted."

"Rest assured Ami Aiba, I calculated Takumi's power and compared it to his opponent. I believe I found someone not even he can defeat."

"Yeah, right. After everything we've been through, who do you think can match him?"

"Would you like to see his face?" K turned to her and took of his mask showing grey eyes and blue hair with a stripe of lighter blue.

"What are you-

Shiki gasped at the sight. "Takuto?!"

Ami looked at her in shock. "Wait, that's your brother?!"

"What's going on?! Why do you have my brother's face?! This isn't what you looked like back at Flotia!"

K laughed. Horrifyingly even his voice was the same as Takuto's. "True. Very true." He put the mask back on. "Back then I looked a little more like..." He slowly took it off. "...this, didn't I?"

Ami felt shocked and horror as she stared at a redhead with blue eyes. "What...?! You look just like...!"

"Takumi?" K asked now in the Cyber Sleuth's voice. "It wasn't easy. This accomplishment requires time and great skill as a hacker. Fortunately, I have both."

Ami gapped for a moment before she came to a realization and glared at him. "This is why you attacked Shiki's world. To frame Takumi! And you kidnapped me while wearing her brother's face to frame him!"

K cackled and put his mask back on. "Very good detective. That's right. Takumi and Takuto now scream for each other's blood."

"But why?!" Shiki asked. "What did Takuto ever do to you?!"

"Oh, nothing. I just required a powerful Digimon Tamer to eliminate Takumi. And the lab Director told me stories of how strong you and your brother are."

"And what is it you want from Takumi?" Ami asked. She gasped as K grabbed her by the neck.

"Ami!" Shiki shouted.

K gave a cold glare. "Your brother took away what mattered most to me. And I will have him pay for that by any means necessary." Ami choked as he held his grip before releasing her allowing her to gasp for air. "And you played a part of that crime. So, you will bear witness to the loss of someone you hold dear as well."

Lilithmon spoke up. "Then can I keep these two as my playthings?"

K sighed. "Yes Lilithmon, then you can do whatever perverted things your twisted mind thought of to these two."

"Oh goody…" the Deadly Digimon of Lust cackled.

"Takuto and Ami's brother won't be so easily deceived!" Shiki declared.

"Heh, heh, heh. We'll see." K looked back at the monitor.

Takumi turned a corner and ran down a hall where he saw a large door guarded by a gold Digimon with blades for arms. "Greetings Cyber Sleuth. I am Durandamon, golden blade of the Next Order. I have been ordered by K to detain you."

"You're welcome to try." Takumi said as his Digimon stood ready to fight.

Durandamon held up his bladed arms. "Zwei Glänze!" He charged and swung at Rapidmon who jumped away then at BlackWarGreymon wo blocked with his shield. Dorugoramon jumped at him, and he moved aside. Durandamon slashed apart laser bolts fired by Rapidmon before charging at him.

Another alarm went off. "Hmm?" K swiped the screen aside to another. Takuto, Nova and Storm were seen in another room running down the hall and taking down enemy Digimon. "It seems the other player has arrived."

"Spin Attack!" Nova wiped out three Centarumon at once.

A Ceberumon pounced at him. "Waterfall!" Storm dropped a downpour on it.

"Alright, let's move!" Takuto said. "Remember, finding Shiki is our priority, but if we find K, we're knocking him to the moon!"

"Got it!" Nova said.

"We'll find your sister and pay K back in full for what he did!" Storm replied.

They ran up a set of stairs and to a hallway where a giant red Digimon on all fours emitting orange and blue flames. "So, you have come. I am BryweLudramon, scarlet shield of the Next Order."

"Oh for-Can it!" Takuto yelled. "I don't care if you're their "Scarlet Shield" or their angry mutt! I'm in a hurry here, so let us through!"

"If you want to pass this point…then defeat me!" Flaming wings extended from his body.

"What a pain. Let's make this quick guys!"

"Got it!" Nova charged at BryweLudramon with his hand glowing. "War Driver!"

"Blast Smash!" BryweLudramon summoned a barrier of flames that blocked the hit, then charged, blowing Nova away.

Storm jumped aside before he could get hit. "Giga Missile!" He fired an explosive at BryweLudramon, but he roared, and his barrier exploded destroying it.

K grinned. "Good. He's motivated." He switched to the screen displaying Takumi. "The detective should be the first inside at this rate. I should go join the Director and the others. Vademon, keep watch of these two."

"Yes, K."

K snapped his fingers, and a large monitor was displayed in front of Ami and Shiki. It showed a large, empty room. "Enjoy the show you two. Only one of your brothers will be left standing. Regardless of the victor, I don't plan on letting either of them leave this place alive." K laughed as he walked away.

Ami and Shiki stared at the monitor. "Takumi…"

"Takuto…"

Just outside the room Tarriemron Assistant stayed huddled against the wall so K wouldn't notice him as he walked out. He peeked inside the room to see Vademon with Ami and Shiki. "Okay, it's just Vademon…And now we know where they are. Better tell the Professor and Doctor Datamon." He hurried off.

Rapidmon Armor roared and charged into Durandamon, slamming him against a sealed door. He jumped back for BlackWarGreymon to stab the enemy with his claws. Dorugoramon then unleashed a blaze from his mouth.

Durandamon grunted as he pushed the flames aside. "You're good…But this blade doesn't dull so easily!" He jumped into the air and started spinning.

"He's open!" Takumi said. "Hit him with everything you got!"

"Thron Messer!" Durandamon started spinning towards Takumi's Digimon.

"Doru Djinn!"

"War Blaster!"

"Golden Triangle!" Rapidmon Armor, BlackWarGreymon, and Dorugoramon all attacked at one with long-range moves. They collided with Durandamon's spinning attack, stopping its advance before slowly pushing him back. He stopped spinning and was soon engulfed with the combined attack.

"This power is incredible…" Durandamon slowly descended to the ground out of strength to fight. "I'm clearly outmatched. Unless I combine my might with BryweLudramon…"

"Last chance to give up." Takumi said. "I'd rather not destroy you if I don't have to."

"…Very well. I yield." Durandamon stood back up. "But the next time we meet…things won't be so easy for you." He teleported away.

Takumi approached the door. "He seemed desperate to protect this door for some reason."

Rapidmon Armor punched it, but it didn't even leave a scratch. "Damn. This thing's sturdy."

"Can it be hacked?" Dorugoramon suggested.

"Only one way to find out." Takumi was about to use his Digivice, but then the door opened on its own. "Huh?"

"Wow, that was fast." BlackWarGreymon said. "I guess taking lessons from Arata, and Kyoko paid off."

"That wasn't me, it just opened on its own."

His Digimon looked at him then eyed the doorway suspiciously. "That's not suspicious at all." Dorugoramon muttered.

"Well…I don't think we have a choice at this point. We've already come this far." Takumi walked inside. His Digimon followed him in. The inside was a massive, empty room. They took a few steps in, then the door slammed shut behind them. "Hey!"

Dorugoramon rammed into it. "Damn!"

"It was a trap." Rapidmon Armor said.

Takumi gritted his teeth. "I'm sorry everyone…the rest is up to you now."

K stepped into a large room full of seats with Brother Sorrow, and other Digimon. A large projector displayed the room Takumi was trapped in. The masked Digimon looked at him as he stepped in. "Oh, there you are. Takumi just stepped into the ring. Thought you'd miss out on the action."

"I wouldn't miss this for anything."

Hosaka leaned back in his chair. "It'd be odd for the organizer of today's show to not witness it."

K turned to him. "What are you doing here Hosaka? Don't you have work to do?"

"Relax, just thought I'd take a quick break to catch the action. Sounds like this'll be a good fight."

"Agreed." Brother Sorrow said. "Two heroes from different worlds. This battle will be a most interesting learning experience."

"Takuto should arrive shortly." The masked Digimon grinned. "The hero of Flotia vs the Cyber Sleuth. This'll be good."

Barbamon stood behind a booth. "Taking all bets everyone! Taking all bets!"

A few Digimon were quick to gather. "500 Bits on the Cyber Sleuth!" a Devimon declared.

"I bet 1000 on the kid with the weird blue hairdo!" a Vilemon added.

Hosaka sighed. "Seriously Barbamon? That's pretty lame."

"And inappropriate." Brother Sorrow added. "This battle could affect the outcome of the war."

"Leave him be." Lucemon said. "He's the Deadly Digimon of greed, he can't help himself."

Lilithmon hurried over. "I bet 2000 Bits on the Cyber Sleuth."

K groaned. "You too?"

"What? Can't a girl have some fun?"

The masked Digimon stepped up. "10000 Bits on Takuto." The whole room fell into shocked silence.

"Wow." Leviamon muttered.

"Somebody's confident." Hosaka gawked.

The masked Digimon turned to all the eyes staring at him. "What? He kicked my ass multiple times, okay?! I know which side of my bread has butter on it!"

Nova roared as he shoulder-charged BryweLudramon, knocking him back. Storm then shot missiles at him. "You are indeed powerful!" BryweLudramon growled. "But this is not a shield you can so easily shatter!" His wings started to burn.

"He's going all out." Nova said.

"Then so will we!" Takuto said. "Shiki is just ahead. We can't waste any more time! I'm counting on you…my partners!"

"Okay!"

"Let's do this!" Storm said.

"Guren Storm!" The wings unleashed a powerful inferno towards Nova and Storm.

"Terra Force!"

"Freezing Breath!" Storm and Nova's attacks collided with their target's. They pushed each other back and forth, but BryweLudramon's power was soon taxed and was gradually losing ground.

"Take this!" Takuto yelled. Nova and Storm's attacks slammed into BryweLudramon, who slowly got up panting after the dust settled.

"Such power…But if I were to combine my might with Durandamon…"

"You lost!" Takuto glared. "Now let us through!"

"Very well. But the next time we meet, do not expect an easy victory." BryweLudramon disappeared.

"Alright." Takuto said.

Storm looked at the door. "This thing looks sturdy. Something important must be in here."

"I bet it's Shiki!" Takuto said. The door suddenly opened.

"It's like they're inviting us in." Nova said. "I got a bad feeling about this."

"Dosen't matter, we have nowhere else to go. Come on!" Takuto ran inside. His Digimon hurried after him. But as soon as they stepped in, it slammed shut. "Huh?"

"A trap?" Nova asked.

Storm looked in front of them and gasped. "Takuto!"

Takuto looked ahead. In front of him on the other end of the room was Takumi and his Digimon. He shared the same surprised expression as Takuto. "You…!"

Takuto glared at him. "K!" Takumi gave him a skeptical glance. "I finally found you."

"Did he say K?" BlackWarGreymon asked.

"Takumi, I think your theory may be on the ball after all." Dorugoramon whispered. "What now?"

Takumi stepped forward. "Who are you?"

"Is that some kind of joke?!" Takuto yelled. "You attacked Flotia, kidnap and tortured my sister, lead me here challenging me to a fight, and act like you don't know me?! Don't think I'd forget that face just because you changed clothes!"

"Your sister?" Takumi then remembered hearing of Flotia from Mameo and Shoma. "Wait…are you Takuto?"

"Oh, now he remembers your name." Nova muttered.

Takumi looked at his Digimon. "A WarGreymon and a MetalGarurumon…"

Storm scanned Takumi's Digimon. "Takuto, these must be the three Digimon K warned us of."

"Yeah. What do you make of them?"

"He was right. They're far stronger than Leviamon and Lilithmon. In fact, I think they may be stronger than anything we faced before."

"You're kidding. Even Noir?"

"Yeah."

"I see." Takuto said. "Well, I'm still not backing down." He turned to K. "Alright K, I'm here like you wanted! Where's Shiki?!"

"Hold on a minute." Takumi said. "Something's not right here."

"Tch. Not going to tell me huh? Fine! I'll just have to beat the answer out of you! Nova! Storm! Let's give it to him!"

"Right!" His Digimon stepped forward.

Rapidmon Armor sighed. "It's no use, he won't listen."

"We don't have a choice then." Takumi said. "We'll need to defeat him. Hopefully he'll listen to us after that."

"Understood." Rapidmon Armor stepped forward with BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon.

Vademon laughed from in the room where Ami and Shiki were forced to watch with him. "Won't be so easily deceived" you say flatter human? Well, one of them wasn't anyway."

"Takuto, stop!" Shiki yelled. "It wasn't Ami's brother!"

"No use shouting, he can't hear you."

Shiki groaned. Ami looked at the monitor in concern. "Takumi…"

In the other room Brother Sorrow looked at K. "Seems like the Cyber Sleuth might have seen through your tactics."

"Does it matter? Takuto still sees him as an enemy. Actually, this is preferable. If Takumi is suspicious, he'll be more reluctant to fight than him."

"You know, I never thought I'd say this." The masked Digimon said. "But given that bet I just placed…" He held up two flags, one with a WarGreymon, one with a MetalGarurumon. "Let's go Takuto, let's go! Let's go Takuto, let's go!"

Everyone sighed in exasperation before looking back at the screens. "So, it begins." Hosaka said. "Ideally it would be best if they took out each other, but that's not very realistic, is it?"

Brother Sorrow nodded. "Takumi sounds like he's onto us, so Takuto would be more likely to finish his opponent off should he win. Regardless of this outcome, I'm sure we will learn something about our enemy."

Keisuke, Hudiemon, Arata, Nokia, Yuuko, Yuugo, Himari, Kouta, Mameo, Shoma, Luche and their Digimon stood on the cliffside Takuto was at earlier when he found the base. "Okay. This is it." Keisuke said.

"Remember, we have two objectives." Mameo said. "1: Find Takuto and Takumi and stop them from fighting each other. 2: locate and rescue Ami, Shiki, and Darcmon. Don't get sidetracked by anything else."

"This place is huge." Yuugo said. "We should defiantly split up. Three groups should do."

Mameo nodded. "Alright then. Keisuke, Hudiemon, you're with me. Shoma, you go with Nokia, Arata and Luche. And finally, Kouta, and Himari will go look with the Kamishiro siblings."

"Sounds good to me." Yuuko nodded. "Let's hurry. I'm sure Takumi and Takuto are already inside."

"Right. Oh, Yuugo, can you send us that photo you took of K? Clearing things up with Takuto will be a lot easier if we have proof."

"Sure." Yuugo took out his Digivice.

"Now that I think of it, say K is from our world." Keisuke said. "How would he know to go after Shiki and bring Takuto and his friends here in the first place?"

"We already brought up the reason back at the city." Hudiemon replied. "Remember their enemy who's working for the Next Order?"

"You think the Malevolent Fist told K about Takuto and Shiki?" Kouta asked.

"Makes sense." Mameo said. "Those two beat that guy multiple times. He knows how strong they are. And you guys mentioned that K holds a grudge against Takumi, so if he heard about someone that strong, he might think to set them against the guy. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the Malevolent Fist told K this with the hope that Takumi would defeat Takuto for him instead."

Himari laughed. "Yeah right! Like anyone can beat Takuto! I'd say he's more likely to come out of this on top."

"Don't be so sure." Nokia grinned. "Takumi is one tough dude!"

"Yeah? So's Takuto." Kouta replied. "He and Shiki beat the Royal Knights and the Seven Deadly Digimon in our world."

"Yeah, he can beat anyone!" Luche cheered.

Arata grinned. "Fancy that. Back home Takumi and Ami did the same."

"Indeed." Yuuko nodded. "No matter what the challenge, I know the Cyber Sleuths will overcome."

"Guys, is it really appropriate to be making bets on this?" Keisuke asked. "We're here to stop them from fighting, not debate on who's going to win."

"Hey, we're just backing our buddy up." Kouta replied. "What about you Keisuke? You've seen Takuto in action unlike these guys. Who's your money on?"

Keisuke rubbed his chin. "Well…I've only seen Takuto fight twice. But I still believe Takumi would win between the two."

"I knew you'd say that." Nokia grinned. "I mean he did beat you when we were sparing before coming here."

Arata squinted at her. "I don't know why you're acting high and mighty about that. Takumi beat you in like half the time it took for him to beat Keisuke that day."

"Oh, like you could beat him! Keisuke beat you back then, remember!"

"Now, now." Yuugo stepped in between them, breaking up their fight. "The point is, Takumi has experience against powerful Digimon and skilled hackers."

"Not only that…" Keisuke said. "But I felt something when we squared off before coming to this world. Some sort of sense from Takumi. Like an incredible force of will. I don't know. I just have this feeling that he just won't accept losing no matter what. That he can't lose."

"Uh, huh." Himari said. "I have no idea, what you're talking about, but hey, if you want to believe that that's your choice. I still think if it came down to it, Takuto would win."

"Same here." Shoma nodded. "Make no mistake, Takumi would be one of the strongest opponents he's ever faced. Maybe even the strongest yet. But I still think Takuto would be victorious. What about you Mr. Mameo?"

Mameo thought for a moment. "To be fair, Takumi does have three Digimon to Takuto's two. And from what I gather, he is a superior tactician."

"Tact…what?" Luche asked.

"He means that Takumi is good at forming strategies." Hudiemon explained.

"That is true." Keisuke nodded. "He's a wiz at reading his opponents. That's how he beat me."

"Indeed." Yuuko nodded. "He can be pretty cunning and can analyze enemy weaknesses and exploits. He's also good at timing his commands and resources."

Mameo grinned. "And then there's Takuto who rarely thinks outside the strategy of "Hit the enemy repeatedly as hard as you can until they stop hitting back"."

Himari, Kouta and Shoma chuckled. "Yeah, okay, that's true." Himari said rolling her eyes.

"Ah, of course." Arata sighed. "The Nokia strat."

"It's the best kind don't you know!" Nokia grinned.

"Is that why Takumi kicked your ass?"

"Hey!"

"Wait, Mameo!" Luche turned to him in shock. "Are you saying Takuto would lose?!"

Mameo shook his head. "No. If I were a betting man, I'd still put my money on Takuto. After all, he has that secret weapon of his."

"You mean the EXE." File said. Mameo nodded.

"EXE?" Yuugo asked.

"Extra Cross Evolution." Shoma said. "A skill only Takuto and Shiki can use. It's gotten them out of a lot of crazy things.

"It might even be enough to beat Takumi." Memeo said.

"If we're done having this debate, we should really get going now." Samudramon said.

"He's right." Yukimura nodded. "Like Keisuke said, we're here to stop them from fighting at all."

"Right. Let's go." Mameo said as they all turned towards the lab. "Takuto should be able to pull off the win. Though if Takumi had more time to figure out how to use what I gave him, who knows how this could have gone…"

Silence overtook the room. Takumi and Takuto's Digimon stood ready to fight. "Get em Nova!" Takuto ordered. His WarGreymon roared as he charged at Takumi's Digimon.

"BlackWarGreymon, intercept!" Takumi said. His WarGreymon charged in and the two collided. The claws of their Dramon Destroyers grappled. Both grunted as they tried to push each other back. Takumi kept a close eye on Storm. "Rapidmon Armor." he whispered. "On my signal."

"I got him."

"Storm, go!" Takuto yelled. The MetalGarurumon rushed towards Nova and BlackWarGreymon.

"Now!" Takumi yelled.

Rapidmon Armor rushed in and tackled Storm to the ground before leaping back. "Shining Laser!" He fired beams at Storm bombarding him.

"BlackWarGreymon!" Takumi's WarGreymon leaned back letting Nova fly right past him and towards Dorugoramon who was charging up.

"Wolkenapalm!" He slammed his hand into Nova's head knocking him back.

"Good!" Takumi said. "BlackWarGreymon, focus on the MetalGarurumon. Dorugoramon, you take the WarGreymon. Rapidmon, provide support."

"You got it!" Dorugoramon rushed at Nova. "Comet Hammer!"

"Mach Rush!" BlackWarGreymon sped at Storm.

"Nova! Storm!" Takuto shouted. "They're coming!"

"Fighting Aura!" His Digimon roared unleashing a light that pushed back the attackers while powering themselves up.

Takumi watched it, analyzing the situation. "Just like Mameo and Shoma, his Digimon have attacks I've never seen before. I'll have to be careful of surprises."

"Upgrade!" Storm howled and his stats increased. "Gigawatt Laser!" He fired a blast from his mouth at BlackWarGreymon. He blocked it with his Brave Shield. "Ice Statue!" Storm hit him with a sculpture of ice that slowed him down. He then charged towards him.

"Dispell!" Rapidmon Armor removed BlackWarGreymon's debuff.

"Black Tornado!" BlackWarGreymon then spun into Storm.

"War Cry!" Nova burned with energy and charged. "Two can play that game! Great Tornado!"

Takumi looked at the target of the attack. "Dorugoramon, overpower him with Acceleration Boost!"

Dorugoramon burned with energy then charged at Nova. "Brave Metal!" He slammed violently into the Great Tornado before slamming him into the ground.

"Man, these guys are tough!" Storm said.

"Okay, we're not playing by his rules!" Takuto said. "Nova, get the BlackWarGreymon! Storm, target the Dorugoramon!" His Digimon charged towards each others targets.

"Think we'll just let you?" Takumi asked. "Or did you forget I have a third Digimon?"

Rapidmon Armor flew in front of Nova. "Saint Knuckle!" He punched him in the gut then flew up. "Rapid Fire!" He shot twin missiles at Storm from behind.

BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon then ascended and aimed. "Meteor Fall!" He dropped a burning bolder on Storm and Nova receptively.

"Argh!" Takuto cringed. "I hate to admit it, but this guy's good! Not to mention we're outnumbered! Brute forcing this will get us nowhere! Wait I know!" "Storm, Sprite these guys!"

"You got it!" Storm stood up.

"Did he say Sprite?" Takumi asked. "Not good. If that means the same thing where he's from, my Digimon will be defenseless…In that case…" Rapidmon, quick! Speed Charge Field!"

"Alright!" Rapidmon glowed along with Dorugoramon and BlackWarGreymon as Storm finished charging.

"DG Dimension V3!" Storm howled distorting the area around them. Rapidmon Armor, BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon cried out as something damaged them and turned them into 2D 8-Bit images.

"Ha!" Takuto grinned. "Now your Digimon can't use any skills! Let's take advantage of this guys!"

Nova and Storm roared as they charged. Takumi grinned. "Predictable. Evade!"

Rapidmon Armor moved aside at Nova swiped at him. He turned around and charged again but was evaded just as easily. "Hold still! Flame Storm!" He shot a burst of flame. When it died down Rapidmon was gone. "Did I get him?" He heard beeping sounds then was hit from behind by a pixilated projectile.

"Waterfall!" Storm tried to drop a downpour on Dorugoramon and BlackWarGreymon. The two swerved around it and slammed into his left and right before spiking him to the ground.

Takumi smirked. "I'm no stranger to dotting. Sure, it means my Digimon can't do much in terms of attacking. But it also makes them smaller and therefore even harder to hit."

Nova and Storm started to get annoyed and began lashing out and swinging wildly at Takumi's Digimon who just evaded every single hit. "Come on…!" Takuto growled. "This is ridiculous!"

Nova roared and swung a kick at Rapidmon Armor, but just before it could connect, he returned to normal and blocked it with an arm. "My turn." He spun Nova by the leg around and around. Dorugoramon returned to normal as Storm attempted to charge at him and held him up by his head. BlackWarGreymon was also restored and charged up. "Wolkenapalm!" He slammed Storm sending him flying as Rapidmon Armor threw Nova. They collided in the air and crashed to the ground.

"Let's finish this!" Takumi said.

"Come on!" Takuto shouted. "Get back up!" Nova and Storm looked dup to see Takumi's Digimon ready to attack. "Break on through!" The two of them prepared to return fire.

"Golden Triangle!"

"Dark Tera Force!"

"Doru Djinn!" Takumi's Three Digimon unleashed their signature attacks.

"Terra Force!"

"Freezing Breath!" Nova and Storm went all out and fired back. The two Terra Forces collided with the Golden Triangle and the Doru Djinn pushing the Dark Tera Force and the Freezing Breath pushing the Terra Force. All Digimon grunted as they struggled.

"Take them down!" Takumi said. "You can do this, I know you can!"

"HAAAAAAAAAAA!" Rapidmon's beam increased in power sending the attacks at Nova and Storm. They tried to brace themselves, but the explosion was massive.

Takuto was knocked off his feet and landed on his back. "Nova! Storm!" He watched the dust clear out. Both his Digimon were on the ground. "Crap!"

K and his companions watched Takuto run to his fallen Digimon. Silence hung over the room. "YES!" The Devimon who was first to make a bet was the first to break that silence.

"Well, that didn't last very long." Hosaka laughed. "And the Cyber Sleuth's team look like they still have plenty of fight left."

CresGarurumon turned to masked Digimon. "So much for your "champion" Director."

The Digimon grinned. "Oh, I don't think it's over just yet." Another alarm went off. "Hmm?"

"What's happening?" Lucemon asked.

Brother Sorrow looked at his Digivice. "Looks like we have more intruders coming into the lab."

"Figures." K said. "Of course, Takumi and Takuto's friends came to help. I want any available units to get out there and stall them! I want nobody interrupting this match!"

"Interrupting?" Hosaka asked as most of the Digimon left the room. "Are we not looking at the same thing K? The match is over!"

"Don't count on it." the masked Digimon smirked. "In fact, it hasn't even begun."

Vademon turned to Shiki and Ami. "Seems like we have a winner."

"I had a feeling." Ami smiled. "Takumi doesn't lose. Still, Takuto put up a pretty good fight."

Shiki smiled. "What are you two talking about? It's not over yet."

"What are you talking about?" Vademon asked. "Look. That boy's Digimon are caput."

Shiki just laughed. "Quick to judge, aren't you? Some scientist. My dear brother hasn't even used that yet."

Ami and Vademon looked at her strangely. "That"?"

Terriermon Assistant, Professor Agumon and Doctor Datamon listened to the new alarm. "What's happening now?" Agumon asked.

Doctor Datamon pulled up a monitor. "Oh? More intruders? But the Director wasn't planning on anyone other than Takumi and this Takuto fellow."

"Maybe it's the resistance." Agumon suggested.

"Yeah!" Terriemron jumped. "They must be here to help Takumi!"

"Come on. Let's see if we can find them!"

Takuto stood in front of Nova and Storm. "No…"

"It's over." Takumi said. "Just accept defeat and we can stop this. Continuing this fight is only going to hurt your Digimon even more."

Takuto calmly looked at his Digivice. A heartbeat could be heard. "…Not yet."

"Huh?"

A orange light glowed from the wrist-mounted device. "It's not over yet!" He held it up. "Nova…Storm…We can do this! I believe!" His Digivice displayed images of him and his Digimon connected by electric lines. In the middle it said Extra Cross Evolution. Then EXE.

From the separate places they were watching, Shiki and the masked Digimon watched the light glow brighter and narrowed their gaze. "Here it comes." They said coolly.

"Nova! Storm! Extra Cross Evolution!"

Nova and Storm spun on the floor as they turned blue and broke apart into pixels. "What's this?" Rapidmon Armor asked.

Takuto held his hand forward holding a blue light. The two streams of data swirled into it forming an infinity sign. Takumi gasped. "Can it be…?"

In a flash a giant golden egg formed. Within a Omegamon slowly started to form. The egg dissipated pixel by pixel. The Omegamon roared glowing. "Takuto…We will be victorious!"

Takuto smiled. "You got that right Omni!" He glared at Takumi. "This is what you wanted, right K? I- No, we're going to face you with everything we got!" Takumi stepped back gapping at the sight of a Omegamon unleashing a aura he never felt before.

And that's part one out of...let's say two or three of this protagonist vs protagonist fight. Next week it's the Cyber Sleuth vs Omni.
