Short 22: The Ice Goetia Part 1
One afternoon at Stolas' palace, Blitz and his family are visiting Stolas and Octavia today. Everyone is in the backyard where the Stolas and blitz are sitting at the table having tea and chatting. Loona and Octavia are lounging as they chat and listen to the music. Aurora and Keenan are also playing ball with little Tilla and Sophie the fox.
"It sure is a relaxing day today," Octavia says.
"You said it. After the craziness we've been dealing with, we really need it," Loona says.
Tilla giggles as she passes the ball to Keenan. Keenan catches the ball and rolls it to Sophie. Sophie then uses her tail to pass the ball to Aurora.
Blitz and Stolas continue talking.
"And to read the spell to pull the enchantress back to her prison, but she ended up taking Altero with her. Before we can do anything the tree fell onto it and destroyed the book, trapping them in there forever," Blitz says, explaining about one of his previous adventures.
Mainly to recap it with Stolas to help give him an idea as to how the enchantress could enter Hell, and to understand the situation more.
"I must say. I certainly didn't expect an enchantress from this other world to be in Hell and on Earth," Stolas says.
"Neither did we. We're still trying to figure it out. Spells that can send people to different locations, especially far away, are pretty advanced. It might take a strong amount of magic to open a portal to a different world," Blitz says.
"That's very odd. Sure I've used my grimoire to access the mortal realm and to space, but to access a completely different world or universe entirely is not very common. It shouldn't be possible unless you have strong magical abilities," Stolas says.
"Hmm, I feel as though I've been coming across more mysteries than answers," Blitz says.
Stolas reassures, "I'm sure we'll figure it out."
They soon hear laughter and turn to see the younger kids playing together. Keenan accidentally misses the ball and it rolls towards the bushes. Luckily it bumps into the bushes and stops.
"I'll get it," Keenan says, and runs towards the ball.
Keenan then picks up the ball, and begins to walk towards the other, when something falls out of the sky, and lands on Keenan's snout.
"Huh?" Keenan says, confused.
Keenan looks to see a white snowflake before it melts away.
Soon, more white snowflakes begin falling down from the sky and around the backyard, catching everyone's attention.
Aurora notices, "Oh my goodness! It looks like snow!" and smiles at the sight.
" Snow snow snow!" Tilla happily says and hops around with glee.
Everyone in the backyard stops what they're doing and looks at the snow falling from the sky.
"This… this is snow…" Loona says, confused.
"That's strange. We're still towards the end of spring," Blitz says, seeing the snowflakes on his hand.
Loona turns to Octavia, "Uh Octavia, is this normal?"
"No. It's not. It doesn't snow this time of year. Then again, it doesn't snow much at all," Octavia says.
Just then, an icy cold wind appears, making more snowfall and spreading around. Some areas of the yard begin to freeze. The wind continues to blow and it knocks Tilla off her feet. Blitz rushes over and picks Tilla up.
"What's going on?!" Keenan exclaims and runs to Loona.
Loona picks Keenan up and approaches Aurora, wrapping her arm around her.
Soon, Sophie's tails and fur stand on end as she changes her appearance to the white arctic fox and has ice magic set and ready.
"What's wrong, Sophie?" Aurora asks.
Sophie growls in response.
Stolas soon realizes and makes a serious expression, "I know what this storm is, or rather, someone's entrance?"
"Entrance?" Loona questions.
"What do you mean by entrance?" Keenan asks.
Soon, wisps of ice and snow swirl around and create a tornado on the ground. And soon, appearing before their eyes is another avian demon. A lanky, peacock-like avian demon with a short turquoise beak, and turquoise eyes that both lack pupils and irises and have periwinkle upper-eyelids. The feathers appear to be mostly white with slicked-back, short, light periwinkle blue hair with a few darker blue spots. There's also sports long tail feathers colored in a gradient of turquoise-to-white with no outlines. Inside his beak his tongue appears the same color as his beak and eyes.
This demon wears an extravagant coat that is mostly shades of light blue with white details while the bottom resembles his tail feathers. The coat also included a large, turquoise fur collar, in which a design of a snowflake can be seen in the front. Under the coat, reveals a long-sleeved shirt with a white-trimmed high collar and four white buttons, white pants, and navy over-the-knee boots. The accessories with a turquoise ice-like crown, and a pair of white opera gloves.
The demon says, "Good afternoon Stolas and Octavia. I hope you don't mind me dropping in and making a grand entrance."
Everyone looks at the demon with confusion.
Blitz, Loona, Aurora, and Keenan respond with confused expressions, "Huh?"
