It was barely morning as the sky still dark with the wind blowing against the plants calmly. Some people of a kingdom sleep soundly and others beginning their work for the royal family. But not everyone belong there as the sound of hooves patting the down the rocky dirt path pulling a wagon with a figure wearing cloak clicked their tongue. The horse stopped as the figure got off to take off the rope attached to him lowering the two feet on the ground. He turned his head to his owner nipping onto the hood to pull it off their head making them laugh. "Spirit. You mischievous horse." Said the woman with long light brown hair. Spirit shook off his dark mane and went off into the woods to have a look around. The woman went into her wagon to take her basket and left over coins before walking to the village. She looked over to the guards staring at her for a moment making her curious. "Can i help you?" Said the woman. "My apologies but where did you come from?" Said the guard approach her. "Im from the northwest of a very small village of Glanchester. Simply finding a new home." Said the woman. "What is your name?" Said the second guard looking at her suspiciously. "Vivian." Said the woman. "Last name?" Said the first guard. "I dont have one. Everyone that i have known died when i was young." Said Vivian. "Sorry about your loss. We were simply being careful of those who come here. Im Cedric and this is Arthur." Said the first guard shaking her hand. "Likewise. Now what should i be careful of?" Said Vivian. "The Moores. Faes and other creatures like Maleficent. A horrible monster who had cursed the Kings child about seven years ago. So dont bother crossing that thorned walls." Said Arthur. "I heard of Faes and others you speak of. I'll be careful. Thank you." Said Vivian walking off.
She saw a woman holding her small child who looked ill and went over to them as they reach the fruit stand. "Hello? Excuse me. But is the child alright?" Said Vivian looking the woman. "A cold i believe. I was looking to see what kind of food her stomach on take." Said the mother. "I know we just met but i may have homemade tea. Give it to them before a meal until she's well." Said Vivian pulling a wooden box out of her basket. "Is it safe?" Said the mother looking inside. "My family had made this when we were ill. All we found is from the plants. Perfectly safe." Said Vivian. "Alright i try it. Thank you." Said the mother. Vivian nodded and went to the shops to find some food for her and Spirit. She looked around the village once she was done and noticed a little plant wilting a little on sill near the flower shop. Vivian looked at carefully seeing it barely watered and took out her canteen of water pouring it into the dirt. Putting her canteen back in her basket a slight movement caught her attention behind the pot. She bent down to look over to see a tiny creature with wearing a cloth around its waist and spikes for hair raising it up as if it was defending itself. "Dont be scared. I wont hurt you. Come on." Said Vivian. The creature peeked his head out and gasped as the sound of the guard were yelling at someone close by. Vivian quickly placed him her basket hiding him under her cloth as she left to her wagon. She walked down to the woods down a path seeing her wagon a few feet away with Spirit close by asleep. Upon reaching her wagon she placed her basket on the ground and sat on the steps of her wagon before lifting the cloth. The creature uncurled and looked around seeing it was in the woods confused before looking at Vivian. "Isnt this where you live?" Said Vivian looking at him.
"No. Farther away." Said the creature. "Need a ride? I can take you with Spirit." Said Vivian as it nodded. Vivian put her hand out for him to climb on walking over to Spirit who woke up from his nap. "Where to?" Said Vivian as Spirit got up. "Moore." Said the creature once Vivian climbed on Spirits back. She followed the creatures direction seeing it was further away from the village by few miles and saw the large stones lined up like a barrier. "Is this it?" Said Vivian looking down at him. The creature nodded as Vivian gor off and walked towards the lined rocks passing it by a few steps. He tapped her thumb to lower him down and got off to look around for someone. "Kito." Said the creature looking at Vivian. "Nice to see you Kito. Im Vivian and be careful when you decide to go explore the village." Said Vivian seeing Kito nod before he disappeared into the shadows. She got up to look at the woods admiring it until she felt something was off about that she couldnt figure out. Spirit neighed loudly and stomped his hoof on a flat stone. "Im coming Spirit. Let go home." Said Vivian climbing on his back. The two left as a pair of glowing eyes watch them leave as a crow followed them back to their wagon. "Alright. Its been a morning for us. I manage to get you some apples for you." Said Vivian getting off of Spirit and pulled out an apple for him to eat from the basket. She sat down on the steps to take out some bread and ate a few pieces while looking over to the castle curiously. "A curse child by a fae. Wonder why would that happen?" Said Vivian. The crow landed on a near by branch watching Vivian closely as she mind her business and watched Spirit eat grass enjoying themselves. He looked at Vivian getting up to grab a worn-out book opening it to a new page and began to do a light sketch of Kito and the village with the castle over towering it. Spirit twitched his ears after hearing something then noticed a crow watching them along with a faint outline of a man deep in the shadows with horns making him stand out. He snorted before going back to finding a good spot to claim his sleeping spot by softening the dirt and rolled on his back for bit then paused to grab an apple that Vivian rolled towards him.
