"Hmm." Sesshomaru hummed as he held Harry's letter as he stood in the Barnes' living room.

"Have you heard of the school?" Stephanie asked as she sat in Bucky's lap.

Sesshomaru turns to her. "I have." He looks at the letter again. "It's a great boarding school for young pups learning the ways of magic."

"Boarding school?" Harry asked as Sesshomaru gives him back his letter.

"Yes, It is a great school. Of course there's always bad apples."

"Sesshomaru, don't scare him!" Kagome scolds, her hands on Harry's shoulders.

"You simply asked, I simply answered." The full demon answered in his usually calm and cold voice, watching as Harry reread the letter.

Harry looked up at his adopted mother. "Can I still go?" He asks.

"It's your acceptance letter, your choice." She told him. "If you really want to go, we'll support you."

Harry felt torn, he wanted to go and learn and see the ways of magic, but he wanted to stay and be with his family and not want to miss out. He looked up when Sesshomaru placed his hand on his head.

"You don't have to decide now, pup."

"That's right." Bucky actually agreed. "You can take a day to sleep on it." His comment had everyone looking at him. "What?"

"James Barnes, actually agreeing with Sesshomaru." Kagome was trying and failing to hide a giggle.

"I think all the head bashing he took, finally soaked through his skull." Sesshomaru states dryly, earning a glare from Bucky. "Once the pup has decided, let me know." With that he shimmered out.

"Delightful demon." Bucky said sarcastically, shifting Stephanie so he could stand. "You, little lady need to get dressed so we can get to your dentist." He sets her down. "Now go."

Stephanie pouts but heads for the hall to her bedroom, as she leaves Harry looks at his letter again.

After lunch, Harry now sat in his room, Kirara curled up on his bed. Bucky walked into the doorframe. "You ok?" He asks.

"I didn't know it was gonna be a boarding school." Harry admits, Bucky comes all the way in, pulling out the desk chair and sits backwards on it.

"You asked me once." Bucky looked at his left hand. "About why I don't take this glove off sometimes."

"You, you hurt it?" Harry asked, even Kirara had lifted her head to look up at him and cocked her head.

Bucky looked at his left hand again, flexing his fingers and even making a fist. "When you get a little older, I'll tell you the full story." He looks at Harry. "Right now you and Stephanie are too young, especially Steph." He looks at his vibranium hand again. "Since she and her mom left for that dentist, I can tell you. Or some of it, not all of it."

"You're trying to tell me that it's too graphic." Harry said.

"Right now. The PG version is that I fell off a train."

"Steve said you guys were in a war, and you fell off a moving train."

Bucky sighed. "Leave it to Steve."

"No, don't be mad at Steve." Harry said. "I figured it out when you took us to the Smithsonian museum."

Bucky blinked, then cocks his head to the side a little. "Excuse me?"

Harry nodded. "Yeah. The janitor there, he said you had a memorial in honor of you, he said the museum took it down once it was revealed that you're alive."

Bucky sighed, he ran a hand through his hair. "I hope it was the PG version." He moves off the chair and over to the bed. "Look Harry. I know you feel torn, we've all been there, especially win the world we live in." He studies Harry. "You go to the that school, you get to learn about your heritage. If you don't, you''ll never know. Your birth parents, your family. You'll never know, and you'll miss out."

Harry looks at his letter again, he very gingerly picks it up. "I want to go." He decides. "But." He looks up at his adopted father. "You guys are still the best parents."

Bucky smiled and wrapped his right arm around Harry, pulling him to his side for a side hug. "I know you were concerned when we told you about Stephanie."

"I was." Harry admits. "But then I realized that that just meant more for me."

That night, Harry sat on the front porch steps. Behind him the back door opens to reveal Kagome walking out, she sits next to him.

"Bucky said you want to go." She said gently.

Harry looks at her. "Yeah. I do."

She took a deep breath. "Ok." She nods. "You and I'll go shopping in the morning."

"Are you mad?" He asks nervously.

She looks at him sharply. "What? Why would I be mad?" She asks in alarm.

"The wizard world … it's my heritage."

Kagome wraps her arms around Harry. "It's … not easy for a parent. Especially an adopted parent to know that their child wants to learn the truth."

Harry hugged her. "Thank you for understanding."

I had started to put a flashback in here, during Captain America Cilvl War, when Tony snaps and fights Steve and Bucky when Zemo reveals the video about what happened to the Starks. I was gonna add Kagome. But decided against it.
