AN: Last chapter! Sorry it took so long.

One year had passed, and now Myles had a big decision to make. What was he going to have for lunch downtown today? He was sick and tired of Slappy's, he wasn't craving anything from a salad bar, and that Chinese restaurant was out of the question. Maybe he should get Vietnamese food in the west end of town. It was decent and different.

It was now Myles' second week back at work. At first (last year) he thought that he only needed another month to get himself back together, but becoming an effective team member again took longer than he expected, and he had no choice to put himself onto short-term disability. It was one of the hardest decisions he had to make, but it was the right decision. He enjoyed work too much, for it was all he knew. He wasn't in a romantic relationship, he had good friends there, work distracted him from his problems, and he thoroughly liked his occupation. Of course, he didn't miss the paperwork, but he missed going undercover, kicking down doors, and tackling convicts to the ground. In addition, in order to get back to what he loved to do, he needed to be a good patient.

Luckily, he learned to be. On his leave, Anne was nice and patient enough to aid him in finding a new psychiatrist that would take good care of him, a new medication that would work and wouldn't make him sick, and a new behavioral program that was instantly of help. There were a few doctors he consulted and medications he tried, but eventually everything fell into place. Unfortunately, his new psychiatrist was located outside of the city, but he could afford it. Once his physical and mental health was taken care of, he and his sister traveled the world. They went to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Jamaica, Japan, Germany, France, Austria and Norway. They loved it, and Myles decided that the trip was worthwhile. Not only was it good for his mental health, but he got to spend quality time with his family.

However, due to his health issues, he couldn't make it to Jack and Sue's wedding. He felt terrible, but he knew they wouldn't miss him. Despite his absence, he heard that the wedding was a success. Almost all of their invites showed up, they had beautiful weather at their destination wedding, and the caterers didn't drop the three tier cake. When he arrived back in Washington, he made sure that he bought a thoughtful wedding gift for them. He also went out of his way to buy them a $200 gift card, so that the newlyweds could enjoy a night at one of the fanciest restaurants in the capital. It was also a way to show his appreciation for taking care of him at his worst. Especially Sue, who did everything she could to make sure he was comfortable and alright.

"Oi," a voice called.

Myles turned to face the mysterious individual catching up to him in the parking lot. It was Bobby, sweating in his suit and leather jacket. It was burning on this summer day, but the FBI had standards they had to uphold, and suffering in the heat with hot, professional attire was one of them. Apparently, Bobby had been anxious for Myles' return, and volunteered to pick Myles and his sister at the airport. During his short term leave, he visited with Bobby a few times, but for six months, his friend was forgotten. Now that he was back, they had lots to talk about. Myles told Bobby about his adventures across the world, and Bobby talked about work and everything that he missed. Apparently Myles missed some crazy missions and the numerous temporary team members that were assigned to the team. Myles was fine with the latter, but he didn't like the fact that they had used his desk. Luckily, nothing of his was really touched, just dusty.

Although it had been a year, Myles could see that Bobby still felt guilt for being one of the driving forces that put him on suspension. Even though he didn't like it, and was emotionally hurt, it was the correct call. During his stay Lake Moomaw was when he realized that his team leaders and boss were right, and that he was in no shape to return to work. Now, with the help he needed, he could sleep at night, he didn't feel like vomiting all of the time, and his flashbacks, anxiety, and panic attacks ceased. Unfortunately, hallucinations would occur sometimes, but with time, he learned to ignore them and disallow them to affect his daily life. Everything about him wasn't perfect, but at least his broken pieces were glued back together. This also gave Sue a break, and the fact that she didn't have to take care of him anymore gave them both the biggest sigh of relief.

Bobby asked, "What are you thinking about, mate? Going home for a bit?"

Myles replied, "No. I'm just not sure what to eat."

Bobby suggested, "What about Slappy's?"

Myles shook his head. "I want to go somewhere different."

Bobby thought for a moment. Myles went to all sorts of fast food joints and restaurants, because he didn't believe in eating at the same place twice during the same week. This would be a challenge. Bobby snapped his fingers. "I know! Let's go get some pizza. It's a beautiful summer day, so let's grab a slice at the shop on the corner, and eat in the park. I'll buy."

Myles looked at his car, then back at Bobby. Pizza sounded nice. "Okay, I think that's a satisfactory suggestion."

And with that, they left the parking lot, and headed to the sidewalk. As they walked to the pizza shop, Myles could see the fourteen year old girl that he killed last year watch and follow them from behind corners and statues, but he just shook his head, turned the other way and smiled at his friend. He wasn't going to allow his PTSD to win anymore. Myles continued on his adventure, even if that adventure was just a slice of pizza.
