I sure have screamed a lot today! It's a little refreshing honestly!
"Wait" Lan stops me shortly after my outburst. "So, you run this country?"
"I think it's more like I'm next in line to run the country" He nods and seems to come to an understanding of some kind.
"I always knew you were too pretty to be just an average person. But a Goddess huh?" This guy!
"Think about the place, Lan!" Some passersby were giggling at us and whispering 'How cute' and stuff.
"It's a little embarrassing!" I could feel my face burn up slowly while he seemed completely unbothered.
"No way, now that I know you're literally a Goddess I have to try even harder." Try any harder and I'll collapse.
"...You don't have to change anything, Lan." I look up at him as we're walking. "This right here…is perfect." I truly do think so. I don't think I could ask for anything better. …Maybe some kids…one day…maybe.
"Is that so?" He worries too much about some silly things.
"It is so! Because I say so! Mhm!"
"Then it must be as you say! Taking it any other way, would not do!"
"Agreed!" We laugh at each other as we reach the hotel and head up to our room.
When we get back into the room I explain to him the interaction between me and my sister.
"Sounds like things between the two of you will turn out alright! I'm happy for you, Love." His smile infects me and we both sit there on the bed hand in hand, smile to smile.
"Hehe, thanks Lan!" With that, I lean up against his shoulder and just relax.
"You know," I start after finally getting comfortable. "Even before we got here, it's been a bit before we really got to spend some time together." We've been so busy after the Guild got in touch with us, that we haven't really had time for ourselves.
"Hmm, you're right. It's been a minute." Lan looks down and I can see the gears turning in his head before he continues.
"Now that I really think about it, there are a few interesting places around Planeptune that I read about." He turns to me and gives me a small smile. "How about we check out the super weird ones? After we get settled of course."
Weird places? "What can I expect from these 'Weird' places?"
"Uhhh, one that I noted down was a kind of game of tag with dogoo?" What? Why would anyone want that?
"They seem to be tamed and friendly, but you will definitely get covered in slime."
"That sounds pretty awful."
"Truly"
"When can we go?" He looks on the website for any reservation info and we manage to secure a time in 3 days from now.
"Glad we got that sorted! I can't wait!"
"I know! I wonder what it's like?" Just because something sounds awful, usually means it is. Doesn't mean we can't have fun with it though.
"Alright, let's get ready for bed yeah?" He stands up and pulls me up with him.
"Yeah, it's getting really late and I have to figure out the whole…me thing." That's a whole mess I don't have the energy to worry about right now.
We get changed, brush our teeth, and get in bed to watch a few ghost videos while making fun of them before passing out for the night.
By the time I wake up, it's already close to 10am. As I groggily get up from the bed, I see a note next to me where Lan was last night.
'Morning, Lily. I went to get you some pancakes from the breakfast area. Also, your tea is on the desk by the TV.'
Pancakes! Tea! I slowly get up and take a whiff of the tea.
*Snifffff* "Aww, he got me the tropic berry one!" He must have brought it from the house!
I take my tea and sit down on the bed looking out the window. It doesn't compare to the view back home in the slightest.
Just then Lan comes back and I can smell the mesmerizing sweetness of the pancakes and my husband.
"The two of you smell great as usual!"
He looks at me, smiles and rolls his eyes. "I am no pancake, unfortunately. So no tasting."
"A misfortune upon misfortunes! I am sure you would be of the highest delicacies!"
He walks over to me and gives me a kiss and a good morning before handing me the fluffy stack.
"How did you sleep, Lily?"
"Pretty good, considering we're in some random hotel." I usually have a hard time sleeping anywhere new.
"Great to hear, let's talk about what we gotta do today after your pancakes." After? Thank goodness.
I finish my fluff kings at an astounding rate as per usual and we get down to business.
"So," I pat the space next to me, urging Lan to sit. As he does, I continue. "We have to come up with a plan to introduce you."
"Ooof." He cringes and lays his head down on my thighs and looks up at me. "I'm thinking we should just drop the bomb and return to the carrier immediately."
"Not a good idea, the enemy has faster forces than us. Not to mention we're completely surrounded."
"Hmm,no chance for reinforcements either?" Who would even?
"We could just tell her straight up, but I don't know how she'll react." IF said it would be hilarious to her. So I'm guessing she might react…strongly.
"Yeah, IF gave me a very ominous feeling yesterday." So he noticed.
"Speaking of IF," I kind of change the subject. Not to procrastinate! "What did you guys do while we played games?" I mean it was quite a few hours.
"Do? Were we supposed to do something?" No way they sat there in silence all that time!?
"You guys didn't talk or anything?" He put his index finger and thumb to his forehead and thought.
"...Oh, I guess we did a little? She asked me a few questions about how we met." Typical boyfriend/husband question.
"What did you say?"
"What do you mean? I told her I found you in the woods bleeding and collapsed? After that she didn't say much I think."
I practically face palmed at his answer and her question. I'm sure that isn't what she meant, but Lan for sure didn't think about that.
"Lan, I'm pretty sure she wanted to know how we got together."
"You think so? She should've asked that then." Lan does not do well with small talk. Or people in general? He can do well when he has to talk about something he is interested in. But, beyond that can get a little…awkward? He's gotten a lot better since we started dating though. I don't even want to think about all the times I was rejected.
"There are going to be a lot of people soon who are going to want to know more about us I'm sure. So you better be ready to give well thought out answers." We will still have to meet all my friends I'm sure. They are definitely going to want to know.
"Yes ma'am!" He salutes me while laying down. "Should I start from the first time you confessed to me, or the first time I accepted?"
"...the latter please." That would be embarrassing.
"I mean, it would be an inter-"
"Say anything about them and I will make your lunch with couscous instead of rice."
"I think it might be high time we get a move on, little lady!" Excellent negotiations.
"Did you come up with an idea to tell my sister?" That was the whole point of this after all.
"Yeah, I'll just do it the classic way like they do in manga and stuff."
"The give me your daughter thing?"
"Yup, it's best to just be upfront about it." Well he isn't wrong but…
"Can you handle the timing?" That's the real issue.
"Pfft, of course I can! I'm an adult!"
"The same adult that couldn't do small talk last night?"
"Th-that was, uhh, a misunderstanding!" Yup, completely by you.
I sigh and play with his hair as I resign myself for the chaos that is to come.
"Let's just get it over with then." He gets up as I say so and I follow.
We both put on our best looking casual clothes and walk out of the hotel feeling extra motivated.
Together we pump each other up as we walk to my sister's place.
"You look like the first batch out of the bakery!"
"Lan, you look like you could tell someone's sister you married her and not freak out!"
"I feel like that isn't really helping me, cinnamon roll." Yeah, sorry.
"Sorry! I'm pretty nervous. Even though I might not be saying it."
Like this we spend the time trying not to think about the upcoming disaster in front of us.
So, yeah, pretty typical morning!
Hello there gaymers. I have returned with yet another fun time with the lovebirds. Chaos is imminent! Maybe not now, but soon. This stuff sure is fun to think about and write about. There are some parts in my head that I feel need to happen. But some parts I kind of just go and go until I think it has go until no more go? Yes, perfect. Thanks for the feedback again. It sure feels nice when the people think 'oh yeah, neat'. I already have ideas for a while yet, so it shouldn't be too long until I'm back. Maybe. I am lazy after all.
