No-One But You (The Zephyr Endeavor)
Chapter 31: Head in the Clouds (Part 1)

So…the grand tour of Asgard was still happening for Victor Strange. He thought the realm around him was super cool, and he took a number of pictures on his cell phone when he could.

Eventually, Thor Odinson brought him in front of three interesting looking people. The Warriors Three? Cool. Victor took in their appearance one at a time, and the last person he saw hit him like a ton of bricks.

The one called, Fandral? Thor introduced him to an Asgardian guy who looked a little like Robin Hood, or whatever, and his baby soul almost leapt out of his body when he saw him. His nerves settled down after a sec, but whoa….

"Victor Strange, this is Volstagg the Valiant, Hogun the Grim, and Fandral the Dashing. The Warriors Three are some of my most trusted companions. They are fierce, noble warriors, and we're eager to assist you as the Sorcerer Supreme."

Sweet. That's great. Super cool. Victor gulped down some nerves a bit as he processed what Thor said, cuz at first glance Mr. Fandral the "Dashing" reminded him of someone else. So, at first glance, his height, his sandy blonde hair and also his body frame kinda reminded him of….

….

Clint Barton.

….

SOOoooo… that means his friendly ex-boyfriend/roommate crossed his mind, which was crazy, I mean… Victor hadn't seen him, heard from him, or thought of him for, how long?

….

"Are you alright? You seem off."

Off? Victor gulped again, then he looked off toward some Nornheim moon. His relationship with "Agent" Barton ended abruptly, and Victor hated that. The baby Strange barely had a moment to process what happened with him.

They were living together for a long time, remember? And they were dating too. Clint Barton was a sweetheart, and he didn't deserve any of that. Victor didn't forget that shit, and thoughts about it rushed up with a vengeance.

"I'm fine. Thanks. I'm happy to meet you all, and… thank you for the support."

Victor felt awkward as fuuuhhhkkk. He quickly determined that a hefty amount of guilt was finally settling in about his ex, so the baby sorcerer closed his eyes and let the moment pass.

The second time he looked at Fandral was easier, cuz realistically speaking, the man looked nothing like him. Victor just lost his mind or something when he saw him before. He didn't want to speculate any longer, and luckily he couldn't give the notion any additional thought.

His brother showed up, you see, so Victor Strange snapped himself out of his guilt-ridden coma. Everyone seemed in awe of Stephen when he made his appearance, and Victor more than understood why that happened.

His brother was… unfathomable, and his presence alone had a tendency to cause a stir. Their father was like that as well, but Victor admired Stephen the most.

He adored Stephen, and he listened to the language that he used when he eventually addressed Thor. The former Sorcerer Supreme introduced himself to the Warriors Three before Thor could speak, then he tacked on a small greeting for the demigod toward the end.

Oh the sass. Victor held back a grin, cuz he could tell Stephen was being snarky on purpose. Thor took the "kill him with kindness" approach, as expected, so Victor kept glancing back and forth between the two of them.

Did Thor even answer his friggen question earlier? Cuz it seemed like he definitely had a thing for Stephen's wife.

Well, a showdown throwdown was bound to happen between them at some point. Victor could feeeeelll it, and he could see it happening down deep in his somber baby soul.
