Guest8492: Halo is not a pretty universe to live in. The Felix reveal will take its time.
OniTenshi500: The footage showed that she was in a lot of the WF terrorist moves. So even if she did not kill directly, she is an accomplice.
Astra Starfield: I had thought Felix to be the redeeming point for Felix. But I just… didn't know how to use his character for that. Clashed too much and Felix was too stubborn.

This chapter is there, plus other two. ;)
When fatso and speedy Gonzales gave the signal, the plan was put in action. Pyrrha and Felix charged together and the opposite team countered with the majority of them charging back. Felix saw from the corner of his eyes how the sole female of the team was hightailing towards the nearby forest area.
She didn't make it far. With agility, Ren intercepted her and engaged her in close combat. And lo and behold, the girlie had another weapon hybrid between a shotgun and a glaive. She held her ground against Ren, but it was clear her advantage was long range and not close range.
That's one taken care of. Now focus.
Pyrrha was doing most of the heavy lifting, mostly because Felix was feeling lazy. He knows for a fact she can take on more than one individual in any quarter of combat. So she is now engaging in close range combat with two of their opponents.
He didn't care to learn his names, so for the sake of commodity he calls them Pray 1 and Pray 2 while he deals with Prey 3. That's the only one he can tell them apart and the girl shall just remain as the only female one.
All in agreement? No? Too bad!
He ducked under the swings of the arms from Prey 3. The freaking psycho had two circular saws attached to his wrists as gauntlets and was swinging them around like they were nothing.
The people from Remnant really had some screws loose…
He weaved and ducked around his swings, mostly using his knowledge in hand-to-hand combat to keep him from touching him with those things. But he still had his knives in hand, just in case they got too close to comfort and he had to deflect. He was no touching those things and losing Aura, no sir!
He jumped back and observed how his teammates were faring. Pyrrha was brutalizing, as usual, the girl parried and waved around the other two Preys like they were nothing. Maybe because they were. What caught his attention was that one of them was using electric batons.
First off: Lame. Second: That would have been useful to know, then he could have had Nora here with them on the front rows getting into the heat of things.
Oh well, hindsight is twenty-twenty.
He blocked and pushed back the psycho with sawblades that was Prey 3 and decided it was the time to show off. He sheathed his knives and went for another holster on his belt and pulled out what seemed like a simple gun.
He fired rounds of Ice-Dust to the Chainsaw Boy whom weaved and moved around letting the bullet freeze chunks of the area around them. The boy started to run around Felix and then, to the complete bewilderment of the mercenary, the boy throws his arms out and the sawblades fly towards him!
Felix had to move out of the way to avoid them. And then the damn things circled back all they way around to Prey 3!
'WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?' Felix questions as he sees those things being used as frisbees and boomerangs all in one! 'Either his Semblance, or physics here suck ass!'
Confident, the boy charges again at Felix. The mercenary, tired of games, stands still and gives a light twist to the handle of his weapon.
From the sides of the barrel extended a pair of blades that connected over the nuzzle of the gun. His new weapon had adopted its sword form. He rose his blade in time to block the incoming charge from Prey 3, the blades of his saws clashing against the edge of his sword as sparks started to fly.
Grinning, Felix swept the leg of his opponent and rammed the butt of his sword into his nose. Aura or not that still had to hurt like a bitch. Prey 3 fell on his back and Felix pinned him with his foot and twisted the handle of his weapon.
The blades separated and retracted slightly, giving enough opening so the muzzle below could be seen, and he aimed it at the legs of his opponent. He fired twice and Ice-Dust worked its magic by freezing the boy in spot.
He looked around and saw that the other components of the opposing team were still busy with his teammates. Good. It was time to put an end to this show.
"Nora, now!"
A mad cackle came from behind the zone where they've been battling. The fights stopped as Nora came ramming straight into the battlefield while her body crackled with electric power thanks to the Magnum gun Felix had given her before the fight.
The first victim was Prey 3. Nora swung her hammer like a golf-club and struck the side of the frozen teenager with the force of a freaking bulldozer. The aura of the boy took a significant hit, but it didn't mattered as he was sent spiraling out of the arena.
"Hahahaha! Yes! This is what I live for!" She cackled with glee, holding her hammer up in the air.
"Nora!"
She swirled to meet Felix's glance. He rose a hand and aimed it at the remaining stragglers facing their team and gave her one simple command: "Smash."
Sue him, he wanted to make the reference!
Nora grinned madly and charged first to help Ren. The girl whom he was fighting didn't see her coming, too desperate to fight the martial artist off, and received a blow to the head that in under normal circumstances would have left someone with severe brain damage.
Aura was fun to exploit to deliver bodily harm.
Like her other teammate, the girl slammed against the outside walls of the arena. Nora's energy started to dismiss, but by this point they had this on the bag.
"WHAT A PLAY! MAY ZEDONG AND ROY STALLION HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED BY RING OUT IN LESS THAN A MINUTE!"
And soon the other half of the team. Prey 1 and Prey 2 grimaced as they realized they were cornered.
Pyrrha stood in front of them as Felix and the others came to her side. He gave her a smile and a pat on the shoulder. "Good job, Pyr. We'll take it from here, take five."
"Good job on the plan, Felix," she smiled, complying into his suggestion and standing back.
Felix smiled viciously at the two teens, letting his mask slip even for a bit so he could scare them off a bit. Thankfully, Nora was still cackling madly at his side so the rest of the world will think it's just an act.
The fight couldn't even be called that. Soon Prey 1 and Prey 2 were sent over the bounds thanks to their combined efforts, the number advantage giving them the victory.
"WHAT A BATTLE! TEAM BRNZ IS OUT OF BOUNDS! THE MIXED TEAM FROM VALE AND MISTRAL, TEAM NPR PLUS FELIX MOVE ON TO THE DOUBLES ROUNDS!"
As he basked into the applause, Nora grabbed him and dragged him into a group hug to celebrate their victory. He smiled and suppressed his annoyance, wrapping his arms around her and Pyrrha whom were the closest to him.
First place of the plan was complete. And the rest was up to Cinder.
He could smell his payment.
When their fight was over, he was of course met in the outside of the arena by an excitable little red ball of energy whom zoomed towards him with sparks coming out from the energy she was oozing
"You finished it! Oh my gosh! You finished it!" Ruby gushed as she zoomed around, making him dizzy, and grabbed the hilt of her weapon.
That made him glare at her. "Hey, you do not grab a man's weapon without permission!"
"I helped you made it, I have rights to hold it!" She said in a sing-song voice, stocking her tongue out. Classy. His weapon deployed and Ruby awed at it. "Oh my gosh, it looks amazing! Its edge and the nuzzle are connected smoothly!"
Felix snatched his weapon out from her and flicked her forehead, making her yelp. "Stop, no touchie."
"Meanie!"
"Sure am, what's your point?" He asked, pushing a finger to her forehead that she swatted away with a pout.
"We're going to see the next fight, you coming?" She asked, looking back at the stadium.
"Nah, gonna rest for the night." Translation: he did not want to see a snooze fest like a fight between teens. Then he crouched to her level. "Guess I'll see ya if when we are rooting for our teammates, then."
"Sure thing! See you in the finals!" She ran off, towards the coliseum.
As she left, Felix smile dropped and he turned around. Walking behind a nearby stand and throwing a knife at apparently nothing. The knife stopped mid-air and particles of glass gave away to reveal Neo, or rather Noire standing there with an unimpressed look on her face.
"Hey, I know when people sneak up on me. Besides, thought it was Locus for a moment…" He said, grimacing at the thought of his treacherous partner.
Noire threw the knife back at him, and Felix caught it between his fingers. He rolled her eyes at her as she sauntered pass him with her nose turned high and a pout on her face.
"Don't tell me you are jealous I spoke with Crater Face!" He laughed, making his way next to her as she kept facing the opposite direction. "Oh come on! We are not even a thing, you and I."
She stopped and turned to look at him with half-lidded eyes.
"Unless you want to~" He wiggled his eyebrows at her.
Noire continued to stare at him before she smiled and walked close to him, grabbing the front of his shirt and tracing a finger down his jaw.
Felix smirked and leaned forward. The two were inches apart from one another… before he grabbed the hand that was sneaking towards his wallet.
"Nice try," He commented, holding her hand up. "But this ain't my first rodeo—YEOUCH!"
He didn't count on Neo being a sore loser and kicking him on his shin. She turned around with a huff and sauntered away. AND SHE WAS SWAYING HER HIPS ON PURPOSE!
"You… Little!" He growled, he didn't wanted to voice what he wanted to say out loud least he wants to get cancelled by the people of Remnant around the stans—was there something like Twitter here?
"Problem in paradise?"
He huffed and rubbed his shin and turned around to see the smirking Mercury. Felix fought down his irritation and glared at him. "What do you want?"
"A nice house by the lake, a harem, world peace… Guess which one is the lie?" Was this bastard trying to imitate him? Because that sounded like something Felix himself would say.
"Funny guy," He drawled, finally letting go of his foot. "What do you want to talk to me about right now?"
"Why else would I come to get you? Cinder," Mercury rolled his eyes.
Felix was not going to admit that it was actually pretty obvious.
He wouldn't. Nu-uh.
"Congratulations on making it pass the team rounds, Felix."
Felix had to avoid the roll of his eyes as Cinder gave him fake pleasantries and congratulations over his victory. He kept a smile plastered on his face as he answered, "Please? Was there any doubt?"
"You were going to win anyways, we had the system rigged," Emerald scoffed to the side, wanting to take his thunder away.
Bitch.
"Now, now Emerald, if that was not needed is because Felix did a great job," Cinder smiled, and her words were enough for the mint-haired girl to keep her gaze on the floor.
Like an obedient dog.
And her owner sauntered over him. "Now we can move onto the next phase. Be on standby, and have your armor ready."
"Roger that," he said, giving a small salute. His face grew stern as he observed the Scroll on her hand. "Any news about Locus?"
"None that we've been able to track down," She shrugged, not giving it the importance she should.
Locus could ruin everything if he blabbed or if he just decided to appear out of nowhere. And with his armor enhancements that was a possibility! Call him paranoid if you want, but paranoia is what got him through most of the war and what earned him a spot between the few survivors of his squads.
But for Cinder, Locus was just a rogue element they could dispose of after her plans. She was too cocky about it, and since she was the one with the money he couldn't really talk back to her and let her know of his worries else she thinks he's a liability.
He could tell she was not the type to accept anything that deviates her from her plans and he was already on thin ice after not being able to get Team RWBY off her case.
He had an idea of where Locus could have gone. The temple, the one that brought them here. He could have just said: "Screw this world and its inefficient guardians" and go back to Chorus and UNSC territory. With his skills, he wouldn't be found in a million years and could easily smug a ship to get out of the system.
That would be good news for Felix if it weren't for the fact that he still had his Key-Sword! Felix loved that thing! Sure, he has the replacement he made with Ruby, but it just wasn't the same.
He considered for a brief moment telling Cinder about his suspicions. To give him a spare of grunts to leave Amity and track down the temple and prepare an ambush for Locus. But he could tell she would deny it without hesitation. That would imply him leaving for an undefined amount of time, not to take into account that he would have to explain why the temple was important.
"Oh hey. I need to take some grunts from the WF to go to an ancient temple left by ancient Aliens, yeah Aliens! To set an ambush on my partner because he possibly wants to go back to the system where we both come from! Oh? Didn't I mention I'm a mercenary space marine? Sorry, forgot to put that in my summary! … Why are you calling the local Mad House?
Yeaaaaah noooo…
"Felix!"
His head came back from the clouds to meet the smoldering glare from Cinder. "Did you heard anything of what I told you?"
"… Has anyone mentioned you have gorgeous eyes?"
The temperature in the room rose several degrees and even Emerald seemed intimidated by the way Cinder's features twisted into a glare.
"Okay, no, sorry. Just… hate loose ends," He explained with a sigh. Wanting to just scoff and roll his eyes.
"Then pay attention, because I won't repeat myself again!" She hissed, rolling her eyes. "You won't be competing in the doubles. But I want you to stick close to Nikos for what remains of the tournament. Even if things go south, and we will tell you when they go south, I want you to stick to her like a dirt under a nail."
"So keep doing what I have been doing…?" Felix tilted his head, not knowing where Cinder wanted to get with this.
Shaking her head, she walked up to him. "I do not care about the other two whom are part of her team. Only Nikos. When the moment to execute our plan comes, you will be with her at all times. Roger?"
Shit, she said the magic word. Like a good soldier, he just gave a salute and nodded. "Roger, ma'am."
"There's a good man," Cinder cooed, patting his cheek.
At any other moment, Felix would have thought of it as hot, now he just felt annoyed at how patronizing she was being with him.
He could try and wrap his head trying to figure out why Cinder wanted to keep Pyrrha on her sights no matter what. He knew she had a list of various girls from the Academy, specifically from Beacon.
He really shouldn't be caring about this sort of stuff. It was just easy money and nothing more. But he was on edge, and just being kept in the dark was starting to get on his nerves.
The sooner this job was done and he could start making his own moves around the city the better.
"I can tell you are growing impatient. So, let me throw a bone in your direction," Cinder said, walking towards her bed as she took her Scroll out. "Since your partner is out of the equation your payment by the end of the Vytal Festival will be double."
His eyes widened. First: TWICE THE PAY! Second: the time of it. "The end of the Festival?"
"The finals, to be exact," She smiled, checking her scroll. "I still have to iron some details, but don't worry we'll give you and the rest of the tournament a show to remember."
Well, if that wasn't ominous as hell then he didn't know what it was.
"Now then, be a dear and bring Mercury back if you see him please," She requested, shaking her head. "I told him to keep an eye on the fights just in case but knowing him he is just stuffing his face in."
Again, he was just being an imitator, because that sounds like something Felix would do!
"Gotcha. This has been a productive meeting," he said with a salute, walking out of their room.
And as he walked down the hallway, Felix recaps what he learned over it: Stick to Pyrrha like glue, he was going to be stinking rich by the end of this, and everything will wrap around the time the tournament reaches the end of it.
There was a feeling of excitement in knowing he could finally drop all pretenses by them. Or at least ditch Felix Naran and go back to just being Felix the Mercenary.
He went outside to Beacon's courtyard where the Bullheads took off, just to see a crowd gathering around the place. Curiostiy picked, he walked to the center of the commotion and could hear the distinctive sounds of a battle happening.
"Excuse me. Let me…" He pushed past people while muttering fake apologies.
He finally got a front row to what was happening. A blur of white was clashing with a blur of black. Felix really had to focus to make out the figures in the whirlwind of blade clashes going on.
One looked like Ice-Princess if the stick of her ass was even further up and the other…
'Bullshit,' A tick formed around his eye as he took in the appearance of the man who was fighting.
Black hair and red eyes, he only needed the scar to match the appearance Felix uses to hide the appearance of Jaune Arc. Maybe he should have dyed it a bright purple color and with yellow eyes to be less inconspicuous.
He did not know who the guy was, but he was good. Too good. Felix could tell he was holding back and was just toying with the Ice-Queen.
"Oh shit…"
The voice startled Felix. He turned around to see Mercury watching the fight with wide eyes. There was recognition in the look and with a hint of fear in them.
"Oh hey, Cinder wanted you to go back to her," He mentioned idly, since it didn't seem like he was listening to him.
"Yeah, cool, whatever…" Was all Mercury said before turning around and dashing in the direction of the main building.
Okay, more secrets and/or stuff he has to deal with on the long run. Yuppie! If this guy was anything like Nicholas then they were in some deep shit.
As he observes the fight, Felix is not that surprised to see the woman's semblance being the same as Weiss'. He made his homework before going to Beacon and knew the Schnee's all had the same Semblance.
Yet seeing her summon small Nevermores to use as projectiles was something he's never seen the Ice-Princess do. Something to file in for later.
And loathe as he was to admit, the other guy was pretty smooth in his movements. Nothing was wasted and it was clear for him this was just another Tuesday of annoying the woman. That cocky smirk… yep, birds of a feather the them. But Felix could say that this was on the "Good Guys' Side" so they will be at odds with one another when the final arrives.
Bummer.
And double bummer too, because someone yelled out, "SCHNEE!" And the battle came to an end.
A well-dressed man, whom from the intel Cinder feeds him is General Ironwood from Atlas, arrives at the scene accompanied by a ginger girl. The man frowning at the white-haired woman. "What are you doing?"
The woman puts her saber away and gives the man a military salute. "Sir! This man started the altercation!"
"Actually, I didn't!" The man called out, folding his arms behind his head. "I was just giving my sincere opinion on Atlesian culture, but I forgot being born in Atlas was an insult so…"
What was this? The imitate Felix day!?
Felix tunned out most of the conversation. He spotted two familiar mops of hair, one white he didn't care about and another black and red one that he did care somewhat about.
"So… context?" He asked as he slithered his way behind the two girls.
Ruby was waving at the orange haired girl and just went off to tackle the man, leaving Weiss to fill in for her. "That drunk is apparently Ruby's uncle. And he attacked my sister after an… exchange of words…"
Felix's eyes widened at the new information. He looked at the man as Ruby clung herself to his arm and pestered him with questions. The man seemed to be playing along with her, and ruffling her hair with affection.
"Must have been a violent exchange of words," Felix muttered, scratching the back of his head. Then he shrugged and called out. "Hey Ruby! Going to introduce us?"
Ruby let go of her uncle's arm and blinked while looking between the two with the expression of a dear caught in the headlights. "Oh right! Felix, this is Uncle Qrow! Uncle Qrow, this is Felix!"
Red eyes met red eyes. The two looked at one another, before Felix put a hand forward to keep up appearances. "Nice to meet you sir."
Qrow just looked at him with a dazed expression. Then he slapped his face and groaned loudly, rubbing a hand through his face. "Fuuuuuck, I knew this day would come! I just refused to believe iiiiiiiit!" The man groaned.
Felix blinked in confusion and turned to Ruby, whom just seemed as confused as he was. "Ummm, what are you talking about, Uncle Qrow?"
"Ruby, tell me you ain't dating this guy?" Qrow wondered as he put a hand on his niece's shoulder.
Felix almost wanted to slap the guy. He might be a teen in body, but he was an adult! And one can call him many things, but a pedo is not one of them! Thank you very much!
Ruby for her part just pushed her uncle's hands away. "What? No! Where did that come from!?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
Qrow sighed in relief. "Oh, thank God. I'm all into you dating whom you want, kiddo. But I think this guy should definitely be off-limits!" He said, while reaching for a flask that had probably some booze on it.
"Ummm, should I be offended?" He didn't care, but the way this guy was talking made it seem like he had something against Felix when he hasn't done anything to him… yet.
"No, no, its my fault," Qrow said, putting an arm around Felix's shoulder. "My days as a bachelor caught up to me… and I'm willing to lend you some money if you ask me… son."
Felix blinked.
Ruby blinked.
The black hair, the red eyes.
This son of a bitch thought that Felix was…
"FELIX'S MY COUSIN!"
"RUBY NO!"
