No-One But You (The Zephyr Endeavor)
Chapter 48: Disposable Teens (Part 8)

Bozhe moi. Yelena Belova didn't know what to think of all the change in events. She didn't mind supporting S.H.A.D.O.W., but she considered this "Rae-Ann" person to be a bit of a mystery.

She finally got to see the "Jackal" beneath. Rae-Ann's true appearance was revealed to her, and she thought Ezekiel was just an average looking guy.

She didn't understand why Clint Barton was so affected by him, because the guy really hated him. It was crazy to witness.

Yelena ALSO got to finally see Barton's famous ex. Victor Strange's name kept getting dropped off and on as Yelena was transitioned into S.H.A.D.O.W., and now she was seeing him there in the flesh.

Oh, and shit got catty reaaaall quick when Victor brought the tiny group to the ground, because the archer wasn't a fan of being called out by his AIRHEAD EX.

He said… Oh, I'm sorry, you called? TCHHhhh the archer didn't call Victor Strange for shit. He straight up raged when his feet touched the ground, and he didn't care who was there to see it or hear it.

The archer had a bone to pick with Victor, Ezekiel, and all of their on-again off-again lovey-dovey bullshit.

"I didn't call you. That tricked out suit your boyfriend made is the one that called you. That's why I hung up…"

Got it?

"Well, you could have called me. It's OK to talk shit out you know, and you don't have to be such a fucking jerk. What you did wasn't cool, so now I'm in your face about it."

YOU GOT THAT?

"WHOA, excuse me? What I did? Wow. You're the one that can't stop staring at this smug piece of shit. From day one I called it, and I never should have went against what I felt."

He pointed straight at Ezekiel fucking Stane, and the archer was happy to see that his actual face was there in the flesh. The smug bastard wasn't hiding himself behind some chick persona, or his armor, and his psycho-fuck boyfriend was still light years away.

Wade Wilson was sent off somewhere toward the moon, or whatever, so the archer raised his voice and said what he felt for all to hear.

Natasha Romanov, Yelena Belova, and Bucky Barnes were just there, along for the ride, and the three of them kept silent.

"Leave Ezekiel out of this. YOU went against how you felt and YOU MOVED IN WITH ME. That sounds like a problem of your own making, JERK."

"I'm not leaving him out of a damn thing. You two were USING ME, so I don't know if I moved in by choice. He probably made me move in. HOW WOULD I KNOW?"

"Try asking him? Maybe? That's a start…"

Victor seriously rolled his eyes and he crossed his arms up tight. The baby sorcerer estimated that they had close to maybe ten minutes before Wade Wilson returned from his discarded abyss.

He could feel the mercenary's soul getting close, and Victor didn't dare look in Ezekiel's direction. He eliminated the hold on his technology tho, just in case he needed to cover himself up.

They spoke about his identity being concealed once again. Victor hadn't met Rae-Ann at that point, but he knew all about Ezekiel's plan. He fucked things up in a blind and brutal rage, but, whatever. Things seemed ok on his end.

On the other end of the spectrum, Victor had Clint's emotions to deal with. He could see that the archer was hurt, and defying his own thoughts and feelings till the bitter friggen end.

He could have asked Ezekiel anything. Victor knew that he was in a better place, and he would have been honest IF the subject was brought up. The archer didn't share the same opinion, and he gave the "White Jackal" an icy glare.

"I ain't asking you shit. You know what you did.."

"THEN I'LL ASK HIM FOR YOU. Hey, Ezekiel, did you convince Clint Barton to move in with me? Or did he do that on his own? OH WAIT, how much influence did you actually have on our wonderful relationship? Dare I ask?"

Victor kept his arms locked up tight, and he took a second to glance over at the rest of Ezekiel's crew. Two of them seemed interested in the conversation, while the poser version of Bucky Barnes seemed over it and bored.

Ezekiel took that moment to recover the appearance of Rae-Ann, then he gave his response some additional thought. Someone he absentmindedly admired had a motto about honesty being the "best policy", so…

"I did convince the archer to move into your apartment. I was inhabiting his body to keep an eye on you, at first, and I was present when your sister asked him to move in."

OH YEAH, YOU HEAR THAT SHIT PEOPLE?! The archer felt like he fucking won a jackpot or something. He pointed at Victor's precious effing boyfriend/girlfriend too as he answered those bossy questions.

Clint Barton felt Ezekiel's presence beneath his skin long ago, and he felt it all the way through to the marrow of his friggen soul and bones. He fuhhhhhkkkkinnnggg knew that prick was manipulating him, so TAKE THAT VICTOR STRANGE.

"Also, Agent Barton, you can think of my influence over you as a gentle nudge in Victor's direction, because every second with him is a gift."

Got it?

Ezekiel was pretty new to the realm of relationships, but he was very sure that the time he spent with Victor Strange was special, and worth it.

He was actually trying to share that with the stubborn archer, and he also tried to give Victor something that he always wanted.

They couldn't operate as a normal couple, and Ezekiel always knew that was something Victor longed for. He stopped inhabiting Barton's body a long time ago, so the Jackal knew that their relationship became real over time.

He just left it at that tho, and his technology picked up a signal from Wade. The infamous Deadpool was learning how to use Sevgili, and he was successfully navigating his way back to the group.

Rae-Ann kept looking in Wade's direction, because his interest in the conversation dropped like a rock.

Victor's interest dropped as well. He was actually hurt to hear that Barton was influenced. I mean, he knew that Ezekiel borrowed his body at times, but that information was hard to hear.

"Happy now? Jackass."

The baby Strange rolled his eyes once again, and he took a sharp turn AWAY from "Agent Barton" as much as he could. The archer was actually struck with a thick silence, so Victor settled his mind on ignoring him, and smoothing things over with Wade…
