No-One But You (The Zephyr Endeavor) - Part 2

Chapter 20: Thuggish Ruggish Bone (Part 10)

Soooooooooo "James" kinda realized that he fucked up epically when Tony went to get his morning coffee.

He decided to mess with him out of habit, because YES the man had been tormenting Tony for years. So it just… happened. What's the problem?

Clearly Donna and Steve weren't amused, and TONY just went about his business with this shifty fucking look on his face. Stark is and always will be an effing tease, so the taller brunette inwardly blew a gasket.

"Uhmm… what was that?"

"What was what?"

Please. Donna Strange wasn't born yesterday… boys. She also wasn't some bimbo girlfriend either, or did "Bucky Barnes" suddenly forget WHO he was actually talking to?

She wasn't marrying anyone under the umbrella of what she just saw, and James Buchanan Barnes picked up on that vibe preeeettttyyyy quickly. It's funny how FUCKING SILENT Tony got, as he poured himself a fresh cup of bullshit.

"Oh? You mean, that? I was just messing with him. That's been… a thing."

A "thing" was probably the wrong word to use when describing his behavior, but the man truly felt as if he did nothing wrong. The whole "James" thing was an adjustment for everyone as well, so Bucky just stretched one of his arms back and he started awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

I mean, what gives? Yeah he had a conversation about Tony with Steve decades ago, but honestly the not-so-winter soldier really wanted things to go back to normal.

Not "normal" as in when he kissed Tony, tried to hook up with him, and all that stuff. That was ancient history. Bucky wasn't interested in any of that sort of shit…

Normal as in, just, being around one another. That sort of stuff.

"Really? When did that become a thing?"

Donna had never really witnessed it before, so she took a gander back in Steve's direction. The blonde was doing some deep thinking, because there were a number of ways to translate what he saw.

Steve was there throughout the entire history of that behavior becoming a "thing," so he decided to let them both hang themselves out to dry. Donna Strange was just as icy as her older brother when she had to be, and her beloved husband-to-be knew aaaaalllllll about it.

Tony and Bucky were the ones who had to explain themselves, so the blonde simply crossed his arms and waited. He couldn't wait to hear the story, from both of them, actually….

Hmmm… where to even begin? That was Tony's first thought. He took his fresh cup of "bullshit" with him as he re-entered the room, then he studied all the yummy faces that were around him.

Mr. James fucking Barnes looked horrified, and that was expected. Tony felt kinda bad for him, but at the end of the day… it was time for everyone to come clean and move on.

"That became a thing after you moved out. Would you like to take a trip together down memory lane? I'm happy to start first and guide you through all the torment…"

Tony decided to break the silence, then he smiled and took a sip of that fresh pressed coffee. Donna took a second to really take in the precious little moment in front of her.

This was supposed to be her "future" in a sense, so the woman took her time before she gave any sort of response.

She left "Bucky" and moved out because she was under the impression that she had to compete with Steve Rogers. Who the EFF wants to do that?

And then there was the lovely "Agent" Natasha Romanov, but now the tides had obviously turned from that miserable woman… Donna was kinda catching the vibe that the real culprit was actually Tony Stark.

And let's all take a second to break down what that actually meant, as the man stood there sipping his… coffee.

TONY STARK was a very interesting young man. He had a unique look to him too, and he was charming, charismatic, sexy, fun, and beyond intelligent. Stark was always oozing with a sense of confidence as well, and he had this natural sexual energy to him that was hard to describe…

Hmmmm… Donna never really thought about analyzing him before in that sense. He's always been off her radar, but now inwardly she started doing the math.

Bucky Barnes definitely did NOT want to go down any sort of memory lane. He friggen hated rehashing the past and diving down into a bunch of bullshit, so the man just kept his response direct and to the point.

"There's nothing to recap. I kissed Tony and made it weird. Steve and I worked it out, but I haven't really been in the same room with these guys since. There is no THING going on either, that was a dumb word to use…"

"Bucky" wanted things to end on that note, but that's not how life works. Donna wasn't particularly satisfied with that response, mainly because she started looking into STARK'S demeanor more and more…

Tony just gave that lengthy comment a playful shrug. He seemed more coy about it than anything, like the pretty kitty cat that he was…

Oh hellllll no. Donna clicked her heels with ease and looked around for a chair to occupy. So they kissed then? That's all? There seemed to be far more to the story, so she didn't plan on going anywhere.

Donna needed to take a trip down memory lane with Tony Stark, for sure, and all three of those BOYS quickly caught the drift.
