Chapter 63: We're From America (Part 3)
So, here's how things went down…
It took Clint Barton, Yelena Belova, Natasha Romanoff, and Bucky Barnes another full day with their suits before they felt ready to head into the churches that were designated to them.
That meant Clint and Yelena had to travel to Ohio, so they said their goodbyes to the other two and hit the road.
Yelena used "Minerva" to send a message to Rae-Ann. She didn't even attempt to bring her up around Clint Barton, cuz yeah…
She wasn't in the mood for any of their love boy drama, so she let Rae-Ann know that they were ready to move on. Her next objective was to make it seem like she was actually "engaged" to the baby archer.
All of those details would be worked out as soon as they landed in the state itself, because talking to Barton wasn't necessarily a thing.
He was flying the small aircraft and talking to her about this and that, but overall Yelena could tell that he had something else on his mind.
They had a couple hours left of flying time, so she watched what the archer did after he put the aircraft in autopilot mode.
He immediately took out his phone and he started scrolling to something specific. The baby bird re-read what Victor Strange sent him once again, then he took in a deep sigh and he started looking through all the rest of their texts.
There were millions of messages to look through, but he stopped and looked back at a cute picture of the two of them off and on. He always thought Victor was a real cutie, so the bullshit was pretty hard to bear….
Deep down in his soul, there was something that he could discuss with Victor friggen Strange, but, the archer was never really sure if he was in a relationship with Ezekiel Stane or not. Now it sounded like he was hooking up with Ezekiel AND Wade Wilson, or whatever, so…yeah…
The archer heard what Deadpool said to Victor… so he thought over what he had to say, then SOMEONE reached over and snagged that phone straight out of his hand. Yelena was soooooooooo beyond done with their lovey-dovey catty bullshit, so she decided to correct the situation as a friend.
She started reading the last message that was sent from VICTOR out loud for all to hear. They were the only two people in that aircraft tho, so the archer was taking in all of it. Yelena even mocked Victor's mellow voice as she read what he wrote.

"Let's see.. he wrote, CAN WE revisit your last message? Cuz I don't like how shit went down at all."

Barton tried to snag his phone back, but Yelena wasn't having it. She seriously pushed him back back BACK. Get the eff back buddy, because their petty love drama had definitely passed its prime. She started composing a response to the message, and she made sure the archer heard every single word that she planned to send in Victor's direction.

"YES. We can revisit my last message because I want to talk to you. I don't like how shit went down either."

MESSAGE SENT. Yelena hit the send button hard, and the archer nearly choked. What in the actualllllllll fuhkkkk?! He straight raged back in her direction, and the two of them began a duel to the death over his cellphone.
They were squabbling and scrapping over the phone like siblings, but the archer retrieved his phone back eventually. He scowled at the stupid thing when he saw that the message was FUCKING SENT.
He scowled even more when he saw a little message beneath it that said "Delivered", cuz that was a bunch of horseshit.

"You'll thank me for this eventually, because you can't focus for shit."

Yelena's tone was salty and harsh, and the baby bird returned that tone with ease. He loudly told her to eat shit and die, but all he got back was a giant friggen laugh.
She called him his future hubby too, just to rub salt on the wound, and she asked him if he was ready to actually get to work….
