No-One But You (The Zephyr Endeavor) - Part 2
Chapter 43: Whatta Man (Part 3)
Tony Stark decided to take advantage of Steve Rogers and Stephen Strange's adorable attempt to distract him as an excuse to return to 10880 Malibu Point.
The ocean called his name whenever something annoyed him too, so the feisty inventor decided to set up shop by the beach.
So, he gathered what he needed from the Kamar taj before he headed toward the coast, then he had that sassy wizard fetch him a list of things from the Realm of Light.
Oh, Stephen fetched what Tony needed with a smile on his face, but overall his tone remained direct and professional. The former Sorcerer Supreme behaved in the same manner toward Steve Rogers too, mainly because Tony had become quite territorial.
Flirting with Captain America was probably a bad call. Stephen refrained from all of it, and he did his best to keep his thoughts pure.
I mean, what would Sofia think? He couldn't hide anything from her, and Stephen had a wife and daughter to consider. PLUS, he had no intention of re-vamping that open relationship thing that he once had with Tony and Steve.
Anyway. Tony Stark worked on his Infinity Stone task as instructed, and he did it without showing any signs of annoyance or protest. He finished constructing the first device for the Space Stone first.
Instead of an amulet, Tony decided to make Steve something to wear around his wrist. It looked super cool, and it took him a couple days to get it just right.
Then, naturally, they tested it out on Steve right before they had to tune into that Surveillant Council meeting….
SO, the Vishanti Trio had officially reunited, and all three of them were present over something called "Zoom" when the meeting finally happened.
Charles Xavier, Donna Strange, and Nick Fury were physically present at the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility, and guess who else was present in the room…
Victor Von Doom was in his usual seat, and his focus was outside the nearest window. He did look at the "Zoom" screen when Tony Stark and Steve Rogers chimed into the meeting, and for some reason he wasn't surprised to see them out there on some beach.
Donna saw her friggen brother on the screen too, and she scoffed at Stephen's laid back appearance. The dude was chillin next to his two boyfriends, or whatever, and the man looked WAYYYY too unbothered and un-supreme.
Stephen smiled at his baby sister, and he made sure to push his sunglasses up closer toward his brows. You got a problem lil sis? The eldest Strange had to let out a quiet laugh.
…
"You three can keep working on your tan, because Ezekiel and Wade aren't even here…"
…
Donna just put that fact out there for all to hear, and she rolled her eyes at Stephen's reaction. The man's smile couldn't possibly get any bigger. Seriously.
…
Steve Rogers was enjoying the sunshine, but his mindset was pretty much on the same page with Donna Strange. He was there at the beach for a very specific reason, so he gently glanced in Tony's direction.
Whenever something serious started happening with Tony, it was always Stephen Strange to the damn rescue. Steve noticed that after a while, and truthfully speaking… the notion was becoming bothersome.
Stephen and Tony spent a good deal of time talking about Ezekiel Stane being his "parallel extension" and only a couple things about that made sense…
Steve still felt in the dark about it tho, and it had been what? A week? Tony still hadn't confessed to the Ezekiel thing, or explained jack shit…
…
"I can see that Doctor Doom is present, but I have a question to ask Ezekiel before we do any sort of voting on his presence."
…
Steve was looking out at the ocean waves, but he was speaking to everyone at the meeting with a professional tone. Don't let the relaxed vibes by the beach fool you, because they had some serious business to take care of….
Tony looked over at Steve once his Captain America voice officially dropped in on the conversation. He was taking a break from doing that Infinity Stone chore for Stephen, and… Tony loved being in Cali.
Oh, and Steve's "question" for Ezekiel was bothersome too, but Tony kept his sulking on that to a minimum. The fucking prince of darkness was on his last friggen nerve, and a very annoyed look struck Tony's face as soon as the little demon showed up on the screen.
So, Ezekiel fucking Stane and Wade fucking Wilson finally showed up, and the baby Jackal looked like a train wreck.
UHMmmm, was he wearing Wade's clothes now, or what? He looked like a disheveled mess. Tony felt like a super-hater too, and the two people out on the beach with him could clearly see that.
It was written aaaallllll over Tony's face, so Steve and Stephen looked at one another and kinda had a moment.
