Chapter 1: The Sudden Appearance of Kidd VIII
Author's Note: This story will contain intense scenes of violence, gore, torture, profanity and some sensual content (No sex or nudity will be described in depth, but it might be mentioned). If you are uncomfortable about any of these topics, this is not the story for you.
The Persona Series belongs to Atlus/Sega.
I do not own any brands or products that appear in this story.
Kidd VIII and other OC's in this story are my creation.
I will use the initials of the characters when showing whose point of view that section of the story will be told from. (Example, MA for Minato Arisato)
Also, it's worth noting that I am not a professional writer. If I'm spacing my text incorrectly, please let me know so I can improve my later works.
The 'ships' for this story are as follows: Minato/Yukari, Akihiko/Mitsuru, Junpei/Chidori, and MAYBE Fuuka/OC. We'll have to see. If I do that, the OC won't be Kidd VIII, mainly because he's much older than she is, and while I'm okay with putting a lot of things into my writing, violence, gore, profanity, etc, I am not comfortable in the slightest about one of my protagonists having a romantic relationship with someone over 2 years younger than they are. Kidd VIII is in his mid-twenties, and while he is a thief willing to commit violent, hateful acts, up to and including straight-up murder whenever he feels like it, he still has enough of a moral compass to be against that kind of relationship with a minor.
This is part one of an adventure to remember. The man you call Kidd VIII is a modern myth. He does not exist, and never has existed. Any similarities he may bear to known individuals either living or dead are mere coincidence and nothing more.

(YT POV)
To say that I was surprised by the man at my doorstep would be a gross understatement. He seemed to be in his mid 20s, had platinum-blonde hair under his jet black fedora, and wore a black trench coat.
However, what I was most surprised by, and what scared me, were his eyes. Those cold, piercing blue eyes. They were eyes that had seen more pain, trauma and death than a human should ever be forced to experience in a lifetime, let alone at such a young age.
I was brought back to reality when he cleared his throat.
"Excuse me, miss. Is this the Takeba household?" He asked, in a surprisingly gentle voice.
"Huh? O-oh, yes, yes it is. Can I help you, sir?"
He stepped aside, revealing a half conscious, very familiar blue-haired teenager in the passenger seat of his car.
"Is… is that who I think it is?" I asked.
"This is Minato Arisato," He responded calmly. "I found him near-comatose at the shrine, mumbling 'Takeba' over and over again. I eventually realised it was someone's last name, and after a lot of asking for directions, and a bit of luck, I made my way here. Now that I've got you up to speed, can you help me get him inside?"
I immediately ran to the man's car, a navy blue Rolls-Royce with a beautiful gold trim, and he followed close behind. After a few moments, we had taken Minato into the house and laid him on the sofa.
With him taken care of, there was nothing but awkward silence in the air as the mysterious stranger and I sat across from each other.
I eventually broke the silence by asking, "So, can I ask your name? You were the one who helped my boyfriend, after all."
"Boyfriend, huh? Well, that's interesting. No wonder he was constantly muttering your name on the way here. Anyway, to answer your question, the name's Kidd. William Kidd VIII, if you want a full name."
"Wait… Kidd VIII?!" I exclaimed, baffled. "As in, the famous modern hero? The man who has single-handedly taken down some of the most dangerous individuals on Earth? Friend of the innocent, and-"
"Bane of those who oppose them?" He finished. "Yes, yes I am."
I was stunned. The man my friends and I had heard rumours of, the modern-day folk hero who exploded onto the scene a few years back, taking down a major New York drug-smuggling ring, taking the millions of dollars they made for himself, and becoming affiliated with Interpol to go where they couldn't and bring the untouchable criminals around the world to justice, was sitting across from me in my own living room.
"Anyway, I should get going," he said. "It was nice to meet you, Miss Takeba."
"Please call me Yukari," I told him.
"Sure. You got it, Yukari." With that, Kidd got up, put on his hat, and went to his car.
"Thank you," I said as he drove off into the distance. "Thank you so much."

(MA POV)
When I finally came to, my girlfriend, Yukari Takeba, was sitting across from me, obviously having moved her chair from its normal place. Once she saw that I was awake, she ran over to me with tears in her eyes.
"Minato! I'm so happy you're back!"
"Good to see you too, Yukari," I responded. "How about you call the others? I'd like to see the look on Junpei's face."
She made the call, and I got ready.
(WK (William Kidd VIII) POV)
I was sitting in my condo when I got a call from that Yukari girl.
"Hello? Kidd VIII speaking. What can I do for you?"
Yukari took a second to respond. "Yes, hello. Minato woke up, and I'm wondering if you could come to my place and meet some of my friends. I'd like them to see who helped him. We're meeting at 3:00 this afternoon."
I quickly checked my schedule. "Yeah, I can make it there. See you then."
I looked at my watch, and it read 2:30. "Jeez, give a guy some notice." After quickly throwing on my hat and coat, I rushed out the door, jumped into the Rolls, and set off for the Takeba house.
(YT POV)
Everyone, save for Ken and Aigis who had been MIA for the past while, had gathered at my house, and gave Minato a warm welcome back.
Junpei and Fuuka gave him a bear hug, Koromaru barked happily, and Akihiko and Misuru smiled, but elected to stay seated. Then, after a few moments, someone knocked at the door.
"Who's that?" Junpei asked.
I responded, "The 'surprise visitor' I was talking about. Wait here."
I opened the door, greeted Kidd and walked back into the living room. When he walked in, everyone's jaws hit the floor.
"Is… is that…" Fuuka murmured.
"William Kidd VIII, at your service. It's great to meet you all." He said.
Mitsuru immediately stood up, pulled out a pocket pistol, and aimed it at him. "Not one step closer, thief!"
He responded by pulling out his own weapon in record speed, and shot the gun out of her hand. "Chill out, lady. Don't you know that the whole 'thief' thing was a false accusation?"
He put away his gun, took off his hat, and sat down. "Now then, may I ask your names, seeing as how you know mine?"
"Yeah!" I agreed. "How about you introduce yourselves?"
We went around the room. "Junpei Iori, ace defec- I MEAN DETECTIVE!"
"Akihiko Sanada."
"Mitsuru Kirijo."
"Fuuka Yamagishi," she said timidly. "and that's Koromaru," gesturing to the Shiba Inu.
"Alright," he said. "That wasn't so bad, was it? Whoa, look at the time! I'm sorry, but I've gotta go!" He exclaimed before running outside and jumping into his car.
"So that's who the Rolls-Royce belongs to," Mitsuru observed, apparently surprised that a man with that kind of modest and simple appearance could own such a luxurious vehicle.
She clearly had some kind of history with him, if her aggression towards him was anything to go by, but what did he do?
