Chapter 84: Sunshine (Part 4)
The subject of someone named Wade Wilson officially entered Doom and Ezekiel's conversation at some point.
It began with a discussion about allies, friendship, partnership, and Ezekiel's early encounters with Victor Strange. That subject made a change to discussing things like distractions, and about how they were impacting Ezekiel's progress.

"You're quite taken with that vile brute, aren't you?…"

Hah. Ezekiel had to hide an amused smile after a comment about Wade was dished out. Doctor Doom clearly didn't approve of the mercenary, and the same notion applied to Charles Xavier.

"He's managed to keep you very distracted and stuck in your flesh. There's not much happening up there with him around, unfortunately."

Doom pointed toward Ezekiel's forehead, and the comment he gave was far from subtle. The part about being "stuck" in his flesh was, interesting… but Ezekiel refrained from responding.
He decided to dish out a question instead, and he took note of the way Doom was moving pieces around his queen.

"Have you been watching us? Or, keeping tabs… like my Surveillant Council?"

A curiosity emerged within the somber Jackal, but Doctor Doom didn't move an inch. He maintained the same composure, then he gently pointed the focus back toward their game.

"It's your move. Remember?"

The question was definitely ignored, and Ezekiel didn't forget that it was his turn to make a decision. Deep down, he hoped the question made Doom uncomfortable, but Ezekiel wasn't sure why he wanted that to happen.
He touched one of his bishops, then his attention was pulled toward his left. The person they were discussing, AKA that "vile brute" suddenly made an appearance.
Wade entered Doom's home by way of a portal, and that portal was constructed by Steve Rogers. It seemed like Wade Wilson, Steve Rogers, and Tony Stark were there to retrieve him, or to say something to the man who "took" Ezekiel away.
The whole thing was weird. Deadpool didn't hear all the comfy cozy chess talk, but he did feel all the comfy cozy vibes…
He entered the room on a mission to see what the fuhhkkk was up, and now he was more or less weirded out.
It felt like they were interrupting a tender moment too, so Wade just crossed up his arms and he silently waited for the creep-chat to wrap itself up.

Ezekiel kept looking at Wade, and any thought about finishing the game left his mind. The mercenary was clearly upset, and the Jackal planned to talk to him and apologize.
He didn't intend to worry him, and he knew that Wade did everything he could to get to him. Ezekiel saw him out there in the ice, so he planned to tell him…

"By all means, welcome yourselves in…"

That was sarcasm to the max, because Doom didn't permit any of them to enter his home. He recognized the portal from the Mystic Arts, so Steve's ability to utilize it was gently noted.
Victor Von Doom stood up first, and he turned his back to the game he began with Ezekiel Stane. He took a few steps toward three individuals who were intruding, and his attention stopped at the one in the middle.
That vile brute was just dying to speak. Doom could sense it, so he smiled at the mercenary beneath his mask. Eyes hardly tell a lie, and Wade could see that Doctor Doom was looking directly at him.
Bring it on, fucker. The mercenary zoned in on his target as well. Oh yeah, he had a thing or two to say to Megatron 2.0. Wade took one giant step in Doom's direction, then he got his own show on the road…

"So , what's this shit all about?… You trying to be his daddy now or something? I mean, I get it, but someone has already filled that role. Sorry."

Wade said what he did, and the rest of the world seemed to crack into a sudden silence. Uhhhhhh, Tony and Steve were just there for support. They glanced awkwardly at one another, while Ezekiel almost choked…
Doctor Doom heard what was said, and he immediately defined it as noise that came out of some vile brute's mouth. His focus returned to Ezekiel Stane for just a moment, then he directed his response back to the crude person who spoke.

"The only role you've managed to fill is classified under the term gutter rat. You do Ezekiel no favors by being in his presence…"

WHOA. WHOA WHOA WHOAAaaaahhhh there turbo. Darth Vader said, WHAT NOW? Did Wade hear the words, GUTTER RAT? He seriously called him a gutter rat? Oh FUCKkk no…. The mercenary legit rolled up his imaginary sleeves on that one, because he was just about to BUST THAT METAL down into someone's actual face…

"You wanna run that one by me again, DICK TIP? Cuz I'm about to do you some, favors…"

That came out wrong, but Wade was planning some not so nice favors for someone's prick-faced science tutor. The mercenary couldn't believe he was actually called a friggen GUTTER RAT?!
He couldn't get over it either, and the way the guy said it too? It sounded so elegant and polite… it rubbed Wade alllllll kinds of wrong.
Ezekiel heard the entire exchange, and he quickly closed his eyes and stood up before Doom could give another response.
He didn't respond at all, and the mercenary stepped in even closer. It seemed like Wade intended to challenge Doom, and the baby Jackal didn't want to see that happen.

"Wade, let's go. This is unnecessary, and I need to talk to you.."
…
Ezekiel's voice broke the silence. He stepped around the chess table too, but the mercenary's demeanor didn't change or stand down.
Fuck all that.
He wanted to bust Doom's cock up to his nose. Wade almost went for it too, but then a thought crossed his mind.

"OH? You mean you're free to leave?"
…
"Ezekiel is free to go, or stay. He can do as he pleases…"
…
Doctor Doom answered Wade's loud question, and that response put a halt to Ezekiel's step. He started walking toward Wade, but Doom's comment caused a stir. He glanced in his direction for a moment, then he forced himself to continue walking.
He ignored everyone else in the room, and he quietly asked Wade to leave with him once again. The mercenary must have heard Ezekiel that time, because they were gone in an instant.
That left Doom, Steve, and Tony to pick up the remnants of the chat.
There was something for the three of them to actually discuss, so Doctor Doom allowed them to stay, for the moment….
