Steve Rogers recalled the details…. and he voiced his thoughts immediately after his conversation with Wade Wilson came to an end. Tony friggen Stark randomly chimed in and answered Deadpool's question about double dating, remember?…
The blonde knew good and well that Tony had no interest in "double dating" with anyone, so what the hell was going on? AND NOW Steve was supposed to actually plan out the details?
Steve Rogers just LOOKED over at Stephen Strange, his counterpart and trusted confidant when it came down to understanding what was happening with his Little Red Corvette, and he loudly asked Tony to explain his behavior.
The conversation with Wade was long over at that point, but some brief details were set between them…. That meant a "double date" would be taking place, but Steve didn't feel at ease about it at all….
It felt almost, cruel. Was "cruel" the correct word? BECAUSE that's exactly how it felt. He barked out his question, but Tony barely moved. His facial expressions changed up quite a bit, but that only happened because he was surprised by Steve's question.
Why the fuck was he lying? Jeepers Steve… it's called GET A CLUE…
After a moment of silence, something happened that caused some shit to really hit the fan. Tony Stark got a call from Charles Xavier, but he didn't answer.
Two seconds later, Steve Rogers got a call from the same exact person, and of course the blonde answered the call straight away. Tony seemed annoyed with Steve. Actually, he seemed more or less annoyed with everyone, and Stephen Strange simply observed.
Charles Xavier's phone call was patched through thanks to Jarvis, and Steve politely greeted the mutant.

"I'm going to need Tony Stark to release his hold on the Mind Stone that's been somehow lodged into Ezekiel's brain cavity… the sooner the better, because it's affecting his progress."

HAH. Tony heard that shit, and his immediate response was to roll his eyes and give out a giant laugh. Good grief, wasn't Ezekiel Stane being treated like a pampered little princess….
Uhh, newsflash people… the Prince of fucking Darkness is playing all of you, and secretly building, and building, and building….
You see, something triggered Tony back when he watched Obadiah's son sit down at the chess table while they were in Latveria. The way Ezekiel fucking Stane simply sat down and entertained Doctor Doom's little game just…. bugged.
Tony started doing the math on Ezekiel's "allies" as well, and the notion of him teaming up with individuals like Wade Wilson, Doctor Doom, and even Victor Strange was becoming… bothersome.
Mapping things out to ensure his own survival was Tony's go-to process for everything, and he knew Ezekiel's thought process was exactly the same…

"I'm having a bit of trouble communicating with Tony right now, so… I'm not sure if I can discuss that with him at this time…"

Steve was studying Tony's body language right there in that moment. He seemed to be disassociating, or lost somewhere in his own little world. That happened off and on when Tony was working on something, but Steve was getting pretty nervous about what he was seeing.

"I've already been put to work, Charles, so get in line."

Tony heard what was said, and yes… he was hella disassociating from what was happening all around him. The inventor was actually calculating a couple things, and technically killing two birds with one stone…
He inwardly decided what type of device to create for Ezekiel fucking Stane, and once that decision was made… Tony stood up from his place in the sand.
He said nothing to Steven R. and Stephen S…. In fact, Tony ditched them both and he started heading back toward the house. Oh, so you want him to remove his "hold" on the Mind Stone? Okay, no friggen problem.
Tony marched back to his luxurious home out there by the beach and he ignored the fact that he was being followed. Steve Rogers was saying something cute, sincere, and sweet, like always, but Tony ignored all of it…
The brunette simply took his sand covered body into his multi-million dollar mansion, then he walked his happy ass all the way down toward his personal work space.
Tony slammed the door shut behind him too, and he failed to realize that the door had been slammed right in Steve's perfect face…
