No-One But You (The Zephyr Endeavor)
Chapter 86: Sunshine (Part 6)

So, as this story nears closer and closer to its conclusion, let's take a moment to understand why all of this stuff was randomly happening.

It's happening because the REAL HERO in this story was currently going through some shit, and he could tell that he was constantly being put through some sort of test.

Wade Wilson was told to "confront" his own corruption ages ago, by Charles fuck-face Xavier, and the mercenary powered through constantly being hit with some judgy, passive-aggressive, bullshit scrutiny when it came down to being around Ezekiel Stane.

Wade also had to adapt to a lot, because the person he inwardly (and outwardly) declared he would protect was going through a lot as well.

NOW that judgy, passive-aggressive, bullshit scrutiny was coming from all sorts of people, and Wade didn't overlook how everyone was acting BEFORE he went to Transylvania to get his precious Shiny back…

They called it "separation anxiety" or some shit, but oh no, Wade Wilson saw it all. Steve Rogers looked super annoyed with him, while his walking dildo boy-toy lover named Tony Stark looked bothered as well.

Starknado also wanted to call up the rest of that bitch Surveillant Council and leave him out of their "plan" to get Ezekiel back.

And then there was Charles Xavier again… eat a dick, baldy.

Fuckkkinnn wowza. Wade was super annoyed. He ran through an inner monologue about how annoyed he was as he randomly started walking around.

Ezekiel Stane transported them away from a place called Latveria, because "Zephyr" was returned to him after his restraints were removed. He took Wade back to his home in New York, in a section called the Bronx…

Wade could see his house up ahead, so he started walking in that direction. The mercenary stopped five times, because he was beyond upset.

Because NOW he had to deal with some judgy, bullshit based scrutiny that was NON PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE. Darth fucking Vader's medieval twin dished it all out to him straight, and Wade preferred to get dissed that way.

What an epic burn, dude?

The mercenary did a little spin, so he could see what was happening around his ghetto neighborhood. He saw Ezekiel behind him as he spun. The baby Jackal was just three steps behind, and he looked a little lost about what to do…

"Your math tutor told me that I was a gutter rat. I'm not sure I want you stepping into my gutter rat house, or.. you know.. being seen amongst all of us other, gutter people…"

Wade didn't realize how affected he actually was about what was said to him, and all of the judgy, bullshit based scrutiny was beginning to catch up to his kind-hearted soul.

Beneath all the layers, Wade Wilson was just an average Joe. A nice guy, and he didn't expect to hear that he was comparable to a gutter rat. AANNDDDdd for the thousandth time that day, whoa…

"Wade, I'm sorry he said that to you, and I'm sorry I made you worry. I saw you in the ice, but I couldn't communicate with you…"

Ezekiel did his best to change the subject. He was there with him in the middle of the street. He felt a bit exposed, but that mainly came with the notion of not wearing a disguise.

There wasn't a trace of Sevgili anymore either, and Deadpool's bright red suit stuck out like a sore thumb. Wade seemed dazed, or something, he just mumbled something again about being a gutter rat.

"I need a drink. I'm gunna head to my gutter rat bar now… so… yeah… that's what's happening."

Wade stepped in the opposite direction of his home, and Ezekiel quietly followed along after him. He didn't want to be anywhere else in that moment, and he didn't mind going with him to Sister Margaret's.

Ezekiel loved being there, and he loved…

"You should go back to your fancy math tutor, or back around your fancy Surveillant Council. This isn't a good place for you, and I can see that everyone is rooting for you to be somewhere else."

Wade meant what he said, cuz he didn't want to see anyone so perfect and so shiny getting mixed up with him in some run-down death shack. He didn't want Ezekiel Stane anywhere around him any longer, so Wade just went back to walking…

Ezekiel had never really experienced that sort of conversation before, so he felt extremely lost on how to proceed.

He almost couldn't breathe for a moment, but he pushed through the feeling and he followed Wade once again.
