Ezekiel Stane was processing what Wade Wilson said to him as they approached a bar called Sister Margaret's.

There was so much going on with that statement, but the Jackal had the capacity to read between the lines and understand what the mercenary was actually implying…

Wade had so much on his mind, so he stopped and turned around once again, just as another train of thought suddenly reached his mouth.

"Do you even know what being a daddy actually means? I just realized that you might not understand the reference…"

Wade was on a roll in his mind for sure. Taking a walk toward his "gutter rat" bar didn't change a damn thing. He still planned to take his drinks SOLO, and somehow convince Ezekiel to stick around good people, like Steve Fucking Rogers….

Wade's abrupt halt to his step didn't surprise Ezekiel at all, but the baby Jackal wasn't sure how to respond. A default reaction had developed within him after he started expressing his emotions to others intimately…

Ezekiel simply wanted to step in closer, and kiss Wade in that moment. He wanted to go home with him too, and answer all of his questions in a physical manner…

That wasn't going to resolve anything in the long run, so Ezekiel inhaled how he felt and he used his words to respond.

"I think you were implying that Doctor Doom is trying to replace my father, but you're already doing that? And I suppose your word of choice is a nickname that's used by a child…"

WRONG. Dead wrong, but oh so eloquent. Wade huffed a bit as he heard Ezekiel's interesting interpretation of the word "daddy"….

Honestly, the current topic was borderline comical, but Deadpool is a man who takes the word daddy seriously. He absolutely had to explain himself to Ezekiel, and then he planned to drink his drink ALONE.

"Sevgili? Or wait, Siri? Can you give me five popular definitions of the word daddy from the Urban Dictionary and Wikipedia? K, thanks…"

Wade continued crossing his arms, and he waited oh so patiently for Ezekiel's wonderful technology to get to work. Sevgili's voice was super cool too. Wade held that thought as the tech began doing as he asked.

Ezekiel just closed his eyes for a moment and he took in the deepest breath that he possibly could. He had to process what was actually happening in that moment, and he also had to truly try and understand what Wade was trying to explain to him.

"Sir, five definitions for the word daddy from and with the most likes are as follows…"

"Number 1. A name for your biological dad."

"Number 2. A term used during sex."

"Number 3. Daddy is a term used to describe a male that is good looking and has overprotective qualities. In addition, "daddy" is a good word to describe your partner. Someone that is attractive enough and has great qualities ex…"

"Number 4. A daddy in gay culture is a slang term meaning a man sexually involved in a relationship with a younger male.."

YOU SEE? Wade tossed his hands up as if Sevgili did the greatest reveal that could ever possibly happen. Ezekiel blinked at least ninety times as he listened to those, interesting … definitions.

The Jackal was still stuck on whatever the hell an "Urban" dictionary was, and wikipedia? He was completely dumbstruck by all the crazy definitions that he heard from Sevgili too. There was a lot to process there, but Ezekiel more or less understood what the mercenary was saying.

You see, deep down, Ezekiel always knew that Wade was a kind, sensitive, wonderful person, and he was inadvertently attracted to people like that.

Well, no…Ezekiel could tell that he was more than attracted to him, because Wade's personality was the complete opposite of what he witnessed growing up.

His father was cold, conniving, evil, and Ezekiel was doing everything that he could to NOT be placed in the same category..

He also knew there was pain there... Wade Wilson was in so much pain, and Ezekiel understood that too.

"So, you're saying you see the word daddy as a slang word for someone's lover, or their boyfriend, and you think Doctor Doom is on the same page…."

Victor Von Doom was definitely NOT on the same page with whatever it was Wade had going on in his mind. Ezekiel couldn't laugh at what he heard, but he wanted to. He also knew that the core of Wade's words were based on something gentle and…

"He sees me as an apprentice, Wade, not his… lover. He's not my daddy, and you shouldn't listen to what he says to you."

Ezekiel decided to play along, and he didn't want Wade listening to any of their comments. In fact, he didn't care if anyone approved or disapproved of his relationship with the infamous Deadpool.

The Jackal inwardly told himself that he needed some time alone, so perhaps it was a good thing to give Wade some space. He was very logical, and he could see that the mercenary wanted to be alone, so…

Ezekiel stepped up to Wade and he quietly told him where he'd be. He had a secluded home all to himself up in the north, remember? It was safe, and that's where he intended to stay until they both found themselves in a better place.

"You can reach out, when you're ready… ok?"

Just for fun, Ezekiel almost called him his daddy to wrap it all up, but the Jackal quietly refrained. Wade kinda caught on that he wanted to use the word, so he swallowed down a filthy thought.

A gentle kiss over his mask was all he got, then Ezekiel left him all alone… right in front of Sister Margaret's.
