Avoiding Wade Wilson was no easy task, but Ezekiel Stane managed to do it for almost a week.

Of course the two of them caved after a day or two. They started communicating with one another again through texts, just like before.
Wade's messages were a bit off-putting at first, because the mercenary asked him questions about something that he didn't understand.
Wade began their messaging stream by asking if they were on a "Ross and Rachel" type of break, and the baby Jackal didn't know what the fuck that meant at all.
It frustrated him from the start, because all Ezekiel wanted to do was understand him and finally be on the same page.
Oh, okay… so, Wade was referencing a television show. Ezekiel looked into it, but all of that hurt his baby heart…
It hurt him because it didn't feel like they were communicating on the same level at all. Wade was just goofing around, and he obviously sent the Ross and Rachel thing as a way to chip through some thiiiickkkk friggen ice.
It was a good segue tho, and it helped the two of them actually send some messages to one another about what's been left unsaid.
For example, Ezekiel needed to bring up the fact that he wanted to go to Sister Margaret's. It felt like Wade banned him from going there for life or something… and that really bothered Ezekiel to the core.
While, at the same time, Wade was able to communicate his beef… and he finally told Ezekiel that he "WASN'T STUPID" despite popular opinion, and he wrote that he also felt devastated about their official first date being "OFFICIALLY" butchered by Victor Von Doom.
Their messages were just shy of being considered desperate. It all felt very juvenile, but Ezekiel could sense that it was coming from such a delicate place.
They both were so hurt, so damaged, so broken… so it was a tricky thing to communicate through all that and somehow piece themselves back together.
That's how Charles Xavier explained it anyway, because, of course, he reached out to the both of them. Wade Wilson had a routine phone appointment with him, remember?
Well, Wade didn't miss it, and he spoke to Xavier for hours. The mercenary felt a little better after he dumped all his bullshit on Xavier's lap.
Speaking to Charles was the reason why the infamous Deadpool caved and reached out to Ezekiel in the first place. He sent his quiet coyote a message shortly after the phone call, and… maybe some pieces were fitting back together after that? Who knew?
Long story short, Wade was also instructed to work on NOT behaving like a madman whenever Victor Von Fuck-Face magically entered the fucking chat.
Charles did his best to explain that "Doctor Doom" was probably one of Ezekiel's closest allies, his mentor, and most likely the first person to give Ezekiel a sense of trust.
Was that explanation supposed to make Wade feel BETTER? UHM.. fuck no. It wasn't, but Charles kept using the word "PLATONIC" and Wade looked into the definition a dozen times.
Their relationship is "platonic"… that's what the mutant freak shrink said a million times.
According to Google, Wade Wilson read that a"platonicrelationship"is a close bond without sexual desire or intimacy.
That better be the fucking case, cuz deep down, Deadpool was known to be a possessive, petty, and overly jealous man. He also didn't trust Doctor Victor Von Fuck-Stick as far as he could throw him, because THAT GUY was equally petty, and nothing but a prissy, cutthroat diva-cunt…
What if Xavier was wrong? Cuz Wade was also catching the vibes that he'd do something to Shiny, or say something just to piss him off.
THIS IS WAR BY THE WAY, and people on a warpath know that anything can happen.
Oh oh OHHHHH. Wade was fuming about a number of things relating to Doctor COCK-SOCK, but he kept his cool and did his best to not freak out.
The merc had to keep his cool, because Ezekiel told him he was "preparing" him. His cute little fiancé told him over text that he was going to talk to his fancy French tutor about what he did during their date, and Wade was tryyyyyiiiinnnngggg to keep his cool.
Platonic. Platonic. Not tectonic. It's platonic. Wade Wilson told himself that over and over, and some might say it was a big help…
