Percy's POV

After I finished talking to Thalia, I turned to Amy and said, "Are you ready?"

She nodded, although she looked a bit nervous, she had been kind of nervous ever since I found her and rescued her, but given what I had saved her from I couldn't blame her. She took my hand and closed her eyes again, and I took her to the Hunter's camp. Thalia must have told everyone that I was coming because no one shot Arrows at me. Or maybe they just saw that I had brought a girl with me and didn't want to risk hurting her by accident. Regardless, we made it into the camp safely. It wasn't long before we were met by Artemis, Thalia, and a few other hunters.

I looked at Artemis and said, "We should talk in private,"

"Can it wait?"

"No, it shouldn't,"

"Fine come to my tent,"

I nodded and followed her.

Once we were inside her tent, she said, "Okay, now why did you think we needed to speak in private?"

I replied, "I thought we should speak privately because I think you should know exactly what Amy has been going through the past few years so you can help her deal with her trauma, and I didn't think she would appreciate me telling you all that in front of everyone,"

Artemis nodded, and I started telling her everything I had learned about what Amy had gone through since her uncle had taken her in. With every word, Artemis got angrier and angrier. I didn't blame her, I was furious too from recounting it all. Artemis asked, "Did you kill him?"

I replied, "No, I cursed him, he should die soon enough, if he manages to survive for too long I might go back and kill him, mortals like him are just a waste of oxygen,"

"What curse did you place on him?"

"I made him stupidly brave, I'm hoping it will get him killed,"

"So you made him more like you,"

I rolled my eyes and didn't say anything, she wasn't exactly wrong, I guess sometimes I was just lucky when I was a demigod.

Regardless, she quickly became serious again, and I continued, "I don't know if you noticed, but there might be problems once Amy's mother realizes she has joined your hunters,"

"I'm assuming her mother is Aphrodite,"

"Yes, I'm sure of it,"

Artemis nodded, "assuming she does join, we will deal with that when the time comes, there's something else you should know, Amy will have another big decision to make before deciding whether or not to join my hunt. I'm sure you wouldn't have noticed since it's not part of your domains, but she is in her first trimester of pregnancy, and based on what you told me, it must be as a result of her being taken advantage of,"

I frowned, and replied, "I'm assuming you must be able to abort the pregnancy using your powers then? I doubt you would still allow her to join your hunters otherwise,"

Artemis nodded and replied, "Yes I can, and I can restore her maidenhood, now why don't you go get her and bring her here so we can explain the situation,"

"You want me to stay while you talk to her?"

"Yes, normally I wouldn't, but she trusts you and she may be more comfortable if you're still here,"

I just nodded and went to get her. Once we were back at Artemis's tent, Artemis was just beginning to talk to Amy when someone knocked on one of the tent poles. When they spoke I realized it was Thalia, she said, "Aphrodite is here,"

I said, looking at Amy, "If you're okay I'll go take care of that,"

Amy nodded, and Artemis didn't argue either, so I left, I certainly had a few things I wanted to say to Aphrodite, mainly asking why in the name of Tartarus had she done absolutely nothing to help her daughter get away from her abusive uncle. Sure, I understand that the ancient laws would restrict what she could have done to help. At the very least, after I became a god and had learned about most of my powers she could have come to me and asked me to rescue Amy sooner.

After I left the tent and followed Thalia to where Aphrodite was, I faced the love goddess. After she saw me, she spoke, she said, "Perseus, why would you bring my daughter here? I will not let my daughter get brainwashed by Artemis into hating men as well as my domains,"

I replied, "I brought her here, because after I told her about the camps and the hunters, this is where she decided she wanted to go, and honestly after everything she has been through this is probably the best place for her. I doubt she will ever completely hate men, even though she has been horribly mistreated by several of them. She also knows that there are some good men in the world, after all, her father was a good man, he was just unlucky to have such an awful person for a brother.

Since I rescued her she has also come to trust me so I doubt she will ever completely hate men. As far as your domains are concerned though, I can't say for sure, If you wanted her to go to camp rather than the hunters you should have tried to help her get away from her Uncle sooner, do you have any idea what he was doing to her? I understand that what you could do was restricted by the ancient laws, but there must have been something you could have done to help her get out of there before she ended up traumatized. At the very least you could have asked me to go rescue her earlier, that could have helped her avoid almost three years' worth of trauma, if you had asked shortly after I first became a god.

I know that if I was in your position and she was my daughter I would've done everything I could to get her out of there, even if it meant breaking the ancient laws. No one deserves to go through what she did, that asshole was using her as a sex slave and forced her to prostitute herself to anyone that he could find who was sick enough to want to rape her. For fuck's sake Aphrodite she's thirteen, and her father died five years ago, no one deserves to go through what she went through,"

I know I had kind of started ranting at her, but knowing what Amy had to go through, and that it didn't seem like Aphrodite had tried to do anything to help her, made me mad, but I reined in my anger, stopped, and gave her a chance to defend herself, although I wasn't going to be easy to convince. I doubt the hunters heard anything I had said to Aphrodite since once I came to deal with her, they had left the area, probably going to practice Archery or something to avoid being too close to two angry gods. During my rant, there had been a couple of times when it looked like Aphrodite wanted to say something, but in my anger I had just plowed on, not really giving her a chance to talk and defend herself. Now was her chance, She said, "I wanted to, I really did, I hated how that man was treating her, but I didn't know what to do. She didn't know the truth about me, and I couldn't break the ancient laws, so I had no idea how to help her escape from him. I'm not sure why, but I didn't even think to ask you to help her. I guess since we don't talk often I forgot that you are much less restricted by the ancient laws than the rest of us, so you could have helped her escape sooner if I had just asked you to,"

I replied, " You could have also contacted Chiron, and I'm sure he would have sent Demigods, or Satyrs, or some of both, to rescue Amy, or you could have put aside your dislike for Artemis and her hunters and asked Artemis to help you save Amy much sooner, she would have probably sent some of her hunters to help her. You could have done any of those, as soon as you realized that Amy's uncle was abusing her, instead you probably didn't even think of that because you hate Artemis Just because she has different opinions on Love and sex, and because of it you wouldn't ask her for help because you can't stand the idea of one of your daughters joining her hunters. If you had asked Artemis to help you when you first realized that Amy was being abused, Amy might have even decided against joining the hunters. Instead, you left her to be abused. How often do you even check on your kids?"

For her part, Aphrodite did look ashamed as she replied, "You're right, I realize now there were things I could have done to help her sooner, but I just never thought of asking someone else to help, especially not Artemis since I have never liked her because of her attitude towards my domains. I check on my children fairly often, even if I can't do much to help them,"

I nodded before saying "I doubt Amy will want to see you or talk to you anytime soon. When I told her about you she was understandably angry that you hadn't tried to help her. I did tell her about the ancient laws but I don't think that really helped,"

Aphrodite nodded, and she actually looked kind of sad about it. We were silent for a minute as I considered whether or not to bring up something else because I was curious if she knew about Mark considering he's technically her grandson, well the grandson of her Roman aspect Venus, but still, I might not admit that he's my son just yet, I was just curious if she knew about him at all.

I gave in to my curiosity, and said, "Have you checked on your Roman daughter Olivia, recently?"

Aphrodite seemed surprised by the question but quickly got over it. She replied, " No, not in a while, why? Has something bad happened to her?"

I replied, "No, she recently had a son,"

Aphrodite was surprised, and replied, "I didn't even know that she was seeing someone, she was rather upset after her last break up, but I suppose it has been long enough since then that she has obviously moved on by now. How do you know about her and her son though?"

I rolled my eyes and replied, "Aphrodite, because I'm not really restricted by the Ancient laws about Demigods, I often visit the demigod camps, and I have seen her there on more than one occasion. The last time I saw her, she was on her way home after having her Son,"

Sure that last part was basically a complete lie, but I wasn't going to tell her right now that I was Mark's father because I figured that she would blab about it, and, Eventually a rumour would probably start spreading all over Olympus, and that's definitely something I would rather avoid. For now, I would leave her to wonder who Olivia had been with. Sure if she is curious enough she may try to find out on her own, and if she succeeds then a rumour would probably still happen, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if the other gods find out about Mark or even the Twins, most of them probably won't even care. I spoke again and said, "I doubt Artemis or your Daughter are interested in talking to you right now, so you should probably go,"

Aphrodite frowned, but she didn't argue any further and left. I was sure that by now Artemis would have probably finished helping Amy, I half considered just leaving right then and there, but the fact that Amy might want to say goodbye, and the fact that I hadn't really talked to Thalia yet, made me decide to stay and talk to them first. Artemis may also want to talk to me more considering that so far we had only talked about Amy, and not why she was annoyed with me, and I wanted to get that conversation over with while I'm here.
