Danganronpa: Despair and Betrayal
Prologue
Blue's POV
It was a normal day at the Eeveelution Pack's house. I was just sitting on the couch in the living room. Eve the Eevee: a tiny brown fox with a tan fur collar. Jolt the Jolteon: a yellow spikey dog with a white spikey fur collar. Flame the Flareon: an orange dog with yellow hair, a yellow fluffy tail and a yellow fur collar. Shade the Umbreon: a black dog with a yellow ring on his forehead, and thighs, also a yellow stripe on his tail and ears. Esper the Espeon: a light purple dog with a red dot on her forehead. Clover the Leafeon: a light green dog with ears that look like leaves, his tail looks like a leaf, he has leafy spikes coming out of his legs. Frost the Glaceon: a really light blue dog with blue hair. And my little sister Sylvia the Sylveon: a white dog with pink ears and tail, she has a bow on her neck and right ear, each bow has two ribbons that she can control like hands. They were all there with me. I bet you're thinking that I'm a Vaporeon: a blue dog with a mermaid tail and a white spikey thing around her head. No, the vaporeon of our group went outside to check the mail. Oh her name is Rainer. I'm a shiny sylveon named Blue, and no my sister isn't a shiny pokemon too. shiny sylveons are basically sylveons but the blue and pink are swapped.
When Rainer came in with the mail, she handed us all a letter. Jolt asked, "What's this?". Rainer replied "It's our acceptance letters from Hope's Peak Academy!". Shade said, "Hope's Peak Academy? I never applied to go to that school.". Clover said, "Me neither", he looked over to Jolt and Flame. Flame said, "I didn't apply either. Why would I? I get school anxiety really easily.". Jolt said, "I didn't apply you or anyone to that school. I never heard of that school before.". Frost asked, "Did you apply us for the school Rainer?". Rainer said, "No I didn't, I thought one of you did it as a surprise. And by the way Jolt, it's a school for the ultimate students.".
Everyone was now confused. Everyone claimed that they didn't apply to the school. If no one did then who? Then Sylvia asked, "Why did Eve get an acceptance letter? She's too young for this school.". Sylvia is correct, Eve is the only kid in our pack. Why did she get a letter? This is getting really suspicious. I said, "I don't trust this. We got accepted into a school that we didn't apply for, and Eve, who is a kid, got accepted!".
Rainer said, "How about I go there tomorrow and talk to them. Maybe they made a mistake.". Jolt asked "Can we come?". Flame added, "Yeah we want to see what the school looks like!". Rainer said yes to their request. Then I asked, "Can I come too, I want to see what's going on as well.". Rainer said that I could come too. Rainer said, "Ok, tomorrow us four will go to the school and you guys will look after the place. Shade I trust you to be in charge while we're gone. It might take us a little while to get there.".
Then tomorrow came, we were getting ready to pay a visit to the school. I was in my room, getting ready. Then Sylvia came and knocked on my door, I let her in. She asked "Hey, how are you doing bro?". I replied with "Good. Just making sure my fur is nice and ready. You know it is important to look nice when you're on a trip.". She chuckled a tiny bit, then said "I want you to be careful at the school, this situation is giving me a bad feeling.". I replied, "Same with me. It's the reason why I want to go, I don't want our friends to get hurt.". We had a little chat while I got ready. After I was ready, I met up with Rainer, Flame and Jolt. We told the rest of the pack that we'll see them later and headed off to the school.
It took about three hours for us to get to Hope's Peak Academy. When we arrived at the gates, Rainer said to Jolt and Flame, "Remember to behave and not to cause any trouble like you guys always do". They agreed and we entered through the gates. As soon as we entered the building, we were amazed. The main lobby looked so fancy, at least it looks like it's the main lobby. But before we could say anything, a weird gas filled the room. It was so hard to breathe, I was coughing so much and then everything went black.
I slowly opened my eyes and I found myself in a classroom I believe. It is pretty big with 18 desks I believe. Also a teacher's desk and a whiteboard in the front. "Ugh my head" I said while rubbing my head. Then I realized that I was alone. I started to shout "Rainer, Jolt, Flame! WHERE ARE YOU?! And where am I!?". I got up and started to look around. I noticed that the windows are covered by metal plates, but why are they covered by those plates? I walked to the door and left the classroom.
The hallway looked so creepy and weird. Where are the lockers? Why does the hallway look so purple? Is it the lights? Am I even in the school or did I get taken to somewhere else? I started to explore to see if I could find my friends. To the right of the hallway it leads to a big red door. I tried to open the door but it was locked. "Where does this door go?" I wondered. I couldn't open it so I turned around and tried the left side. As I was walking I started to hear some voices.
I was hoping it was my friends but no it wasn't. It was 2 people but they were blocky for some reason? One reminded me of Slenderman but no suit and the head wasn't white. And the other one was a green figure with no arms and four legs. I was a little nervous but I had to figure out what's going on, so I walked up to them. They were standing in front of a door that leads to who knows where.
"Hello…" I said nervously. The tall one said, "Oh hello there. I thought I saw everyone already but it looks like I was wrong.". The green one said "What is your name and ultimate?". I confusingly said "Ultimate?". The tall one said "It's the reason why you were chosen, you know your special talent. I think they've put a note on you in case you forgot.". I used my ribbons to check if he was correct and he was. I read it out loud, "Blue Ribbons: Ultimate Care-Taker". The green one said, "Care-Taker huh, that's cool! I'm Carrie Creeper, the Ultimate Builder! And yeah I know it's weird for a creeper to be a builder but I don't like destroying stuff like the others.". Then the tall one said, "And I'm Ender Enderman, the Ultimate Teleporter!". Ultimate Teleporter?
I asked, "Do you two know what is going on?". Ender said, "No we don't. We just woke up here after entering the school.". Carrie added, "We tried to find anything like the exit but no luck.". I asked Ender, "If you're the Ultimate Teleporter, why don't you teleport outside?". Ender said, "Believe me I tried but I can't teleport out of this building, only to other rooms and weirdly there's some rooms I can't teleport to.". That is weird, what is going on?! I asked them if they knew where other people were and they said that the door behind them has some. I thanked them and I entered the room.
The door leads to a dining hall. It has a large table with around 18 chairs. There were 3 people, and luckily Rainer was one of them. The other two were a blue hedgehog and a yellow or orange fox, honestly I can't tell. It's a little of both to be honest. Rainer noticed me and went over to me. She said, "I'm so glad to see that you're alright! Have you seen my brothers at all?". I probably should've mentioned earlier that Rainer, Jolt and Flame are siblings, with Rainer being the oldest and Flame being the youngest.
The worried look on Rainer's face when I told her no, would be the same look if our roles were reversed and I had no idea where Sylvia is. The hedgehog asked Rainer, "Hey Rainer, Who's your friend?". I answered, "I'm Blue and I guess I'm the Ultimate Care-Taker.". The hedgehog said, "Cool, I'm Sonic, Sonic The Hedgehog! Ultimate Speedster! And this is Tails, the Ultimate Engineer and my little buddy!" . Tails said, "Nice to meet you!". After he said that I noticed that he has two tails. He saw me staring and said, "You noticed my tails huh". When he said that I had no idea what to say. To be fair where I came from it's normal but I could tell he's not a pokemon. He said, "It's ok. I know it's not normal for foxes to have more than one tail. To answer your question, I was born like this.".
Sonic interrupted him by saying, "He can use his tails to fly by the way.". Before I could call his bluff, Tails proved me wrong by using his tails to actually fly! No joke, he actually was flying for like five seconds before landing back on the ground by Sonic. I was amazed to see a non pokemon that doesn't have wings flying like that. Rainer said, "It was nice talking to you two but if my friend Blue is here that means my brothers are here too. So see you guys later.". We said goodbye to them and went out in the hallway.
When we got back out, Carrie and Ender weren't there anymore. I asked Rainer about her Ultimate title she was given. She answered, "Oh yeah, you weren't there when I told some people. Well I'm the Ultimate Leader. Don't know why I'm the Ultimate Leader.". I said as a response, "You do a good job leading the pack back at home and you had to deal with Jolt's and Flame's shenanigans for years now. I'd say that's a perfect title for you!". She blushed at my response. She said, "Thanks, hmm maybe Flame is in the kitchen. We both know how much he loves cooking.". That is so true. Flame is one of the best chefs I've ever met.
Luckily for us, the kitchen was the next room we came by. We entered the kitchen but only to walk in on an argument between Flame, Jolt, and a duck with a graduation cap. There were two other bystanders there too. A kid with an orange jacket I believe and a blocky skeleton? Me and Rainer knew we had to break up the fight before anyone got hurt. We got in the middle of them, and I said, "Break it up, BREAK IT UP! What's the problem here!". Jolt said, "We were just minding our own business, trying to find you and Rainer and then this duck guy came in and started to insult Flame and then me!". The duck started to say, "I'm sorry that I noticed that you two weren't intelligent, and by the way I'm Professor Duck the Ultimate Scholar. And the only one that can understand Kenny over there.". He pointed to the kid wearing the orange jacket.
Rainer said angrily, "Okay pal, how about you leave my brothers alone okay!". Professor Duck said, "Those two idiots are your brothers?". Flame said furiously, "What did you just call us!". I yelled, "HOW ABOUT WE ALL JUST CALM DOWN!". The room went silent for a few seconds. Then Professor Duck said as he was walking to the door, "I'm just gonna go and by the way Kenny is the Ultimate Unlucky Kid if you morons were wondering.". Then he left the kitchen. Kenny mumbled something before he followed the duck. Ultimate Unlucky Kid? How did that get him in the school?
Flame broke the silence by asking, "Did anyone understand what that Kenny kid said?". Everyone nodded no. It was silent for a few more seconds until Jolt broke it. Jolt said, "Thanks for backing us up there. That skeleton guy over there was just enjoying the show." . The skeleton said, "You can just call me Skylar, Skylar Skeleton, aka the Ultimate Archer. And I like watching people fight. It's a nice change since I fight with a certain someone here all the time. Who are you all anyway?". Me and Rainer introduced ourselves first. Flame said, "I'm Flame, the Ultimate Chef!". Jolt said, "And I am Jolt, the Ultimate Athlete!". Those ultimates fit them so well.
Now that all four of us are now reunited, we have to figure out what happened and where we are. "Hey Skylar do you hav-'' I started to ask. Skylar said, "No, I don't know what happened. You're like the 10th person to ask me that.". Rainer suggested, "Maybe if we explore more of this so-called school we might find out.". Skylar said, "Have fun with that.". Us four left the kitchen and started to wander around.
We found an entrance to a staircase but it was locked. Jolt tried to ram the door down but failed so badly. After he ran into the door, we heard two voices behind us. "Gotta hurt" said one of them and the other one agreed. One of them looked like a wizard with a blue hat and blue cloak. He or she was also holding a wand. The other one was a crab wearing clothes. I'm not lying or joking. Rainer asked "Um, who are you guys?". The wizard said "I'm Kamek, the Ultimate Wizard.". The crab said, "And I'm Eugene Krabs but call me Mr. Krabs and I'm the Ultimate Cheapskate! Also the proud owner of the Krusty Krab! The home of the famous Krabby Patty!". I don't think I trust going to his restaurant since he's the "Ultimate Cheapskate".
Kamek rudely asked, "Who are you Four?". We introduced ourselves to them. We asked them if they knew where everyone was, but before they could answer, something was playing on the speakers on the walls. "Attention all students! Please meet in the gym for the introduction!" said the voice. If there is anyone I haven't met yet I'm pretty sure I'll meet them there. So the six of us headed to the gym.
We were at the gym and there were at least five people I haven't met yet. A dark green blocky guy, a red dinosaur with a weird but familiar face and a goatee, a literal rock with legs and a face, a purple astronaut, and a terrified rockruff. But before I could say a word, a bear jumped out of nowhere right in front of us. He was standing on a podium and he looked weird. Half of his body was white and the other half was black. And he has a huge red cut on his right eye. The dark green guy said, "What is this?". Sonic said, "It looks like a teddy bear?". Carrie asked, "What's a teddy bear? We don't have those where I come from.". The bear said "I'm not a teddy bear!". Kamek said "So it's a hologram then". The bear said, "NO! I'm YOU'RE headmaster!". Professor Duck said, "There's no way that you're the headmaster of the school!".
The bear said, "You better believe it! My name is Monokuma!". As soon as he said his name, I could see the rockruff's face becoming more terrified. Rainer asked, "What is going on here?! Where are we?!". Questions that were going through everyone's minds. Monokuma responded, "You're at Hope's Peak Academy! You're new home!". Mr. Krabs asked, "For how long?". Monokuma replied, "Hmm, let me see, FOREVER!".
The room was silent. Did he say forever?! I decided to speak up and ask, "What do you mean by forever?!". The dark green guy said, "Yeah man, what do you mean?". Monokuma said "It means you guys are stuck here forever with no contact with the outside world or an exit.". "WE DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS! THIS IS BASICALLY KIDNAPPING US!" Tails yelled panicky. Professor Duck said, "Yeah we didn't sign up to stay at a place where there's no way to leave". Monokuma said, "I never said there wasn't a way to leave.". Ender asked curiously, "So there is a way to leave? What is it?". Monokuma's response still haunts me till this day. His response was "The only way to leave is to get away with murder!".
Silence filled the air while the rest of us were shocked, scared and probably angry. "W-What d-do y-you m-mean b-by getting away w-with m-m-murder?!" Carrie said, really terrified. The dark green guy said aggressively, "Yeah, what kind of sick game is this!". Ender said, "Zeke calm down! We don't know what this bear thing can do.". His name is Zeke? Then Zeke said really aggressively "No I'm not gonna 'calm down'! This psychotic bear wants us to KILL EACH OTHER! I'm gonna show him a piece of my mind!".
Zeke walked up to Monokuma, grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up. Zeke said aggressively, "Now YOU'RE gonna let us all out or I'm gonna send you to next Tuesday!". Monokuma said, "I wouldn't do that if I were you.". Zeke aggressively asked, "Why not?!". The rockruff yelled out, "IF YOU DON'T LET GO OF HIM, YOU'RE GONNA DIE! HE HAS A BOMB INSIDE OF HIM!". As soon as Zeke heard that, he dropped Monokuma and backed away. He has a bomb inside of him?! WHY?! Monokuma said as he was getting up, "You're lucky I'm letting you off with a warning this time. Attacking the headmaster is against the rules.". Flame asked, "Rules? There are rules here?". Monokuma said "Of course there is! What kind of school would this be if there aren't any rules?".
Professor Duck replied, "What kind of school encourages their students to commit murder?". Monokuma ignored Professor Duck, and said, "Everyone should have an E-Handbook on them right now. It'll display the rules. Also it is useful in so many more ways! Like it allows you to get into your dorms and helps you solve murder cases too!". I can't believe I didn't notice this tablet before. Where did they even hide it on me that would make me not notice it? I grabbed it from my back I believe (I forgot where). I turned it on and read the rules.
Rules:
Rule 1 Students may reside only within the school. Leaving campus is an unacceptable use of time.
Rule 2 "Nighttime" is from 10 pm to 7 am. Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution.
Rule 3 Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory will be seen as sleeping in class and punished accordingly.
Rule 4 With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Hope's Peak Academy at your discretion.
Rule 5 Violence against headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras.
Rule 6 Anyone who kills a fellow student and becomes "blackened" will graduate, unless they are discovered.
Rule 7 The body announcement sound will only activate when three or more students see the dead body, the killer is not included.
Rule 8 The blackened can only kill two students, if more than that punishment will be given.
Rule 9 Additional school regulations may be added if necessary.
'Blackened?' is what the killers are gonna be called in this game. It is weird if you ask me but I don't want to get killed by a psychotic bear so I'm keeping my opinion to myself right now. These rules are good to keep in mind though. It might become very useful later. I'm also scared to know what the punishments are going to be. It's most likely DEATH, knowing the situation we're in. After everyone had read the rules, Monokuma continued talking. He said, "Well now you all know the rules. I'm gonna let you all sleep and I'll explain more about the Killing Game tomorrow. Your dorm should have a picture of your face on it.". Sonic said, "That's why some doors had people's faces on it.". Skylar sarcastically said, "You're SO clever."
Monokuma said "Good night and see you all at tomorrow's announcement! Buh bye!". Monokuma jumped and vanished out of nowhere. All the news that was just shared right now was just too much. I knew this didn't feel right but why invite my pack to go to this sick, messed up game?! At Least not all of them are here, especially my sister Sylvia and the kid Sylvia cares a lot for, Eve. You should see the bond Sylvia and Eve have. It's the same type of bond that me and Sylvia had when we were kids and our parents ignored us to do their own thing. But for the people from my pack that are here with me, I need to make sure they're safe. I don't want one of them to get hurt or worse! I can definitely imagine the reactions the other two will make if one of them gets badly hurt or k-killed! But there's five people I want to meet before we all go to bed and I also want to see if everyone is ok. I went up to Ender, Carrie and that Zeke guy.
Carrie said, "Blue! H-Hey!". I could tell she had no idea how to take the news either. I asked them "Hey, are you guys doing alright?". Carrie said, "Most part I guess. I'm just scared of our situation!". I'm pretty sure everyone is right now. The Zeke guy asked, "Who's the ribbon dog?". To be honest that isn't really an insult to sylveons or at least my family. I introduced myself to him and he said, "You can call me Zeke, Zeke Zombie! The Ultimate Hunter!". That explains his dark green skin, I just hope he doesn't eat anyone here. I asked them if they knew the other people I've not met yet and Ender told me about most of them.
The red dinosaur is Red Yoshi the Ultimate Actor, the rock is Rocky the Ultimate Object, and the astronaut is Purple the Ultimate Imposter. Apparently the rockruff has only said his name but not ultimate. Rubble the Rockruff looks like a light brown pup with a fluffy gray curly tail, a spiky fur collar around his neck and with rocks coming out around his neck too. I'm curious about the Ultimate Object though. How did that get them in the school? Something tells me they were trying to think of excuses to bring people into these messed up games. I thanked them and wished them a good night. I hope we can survive this sick twisted game.
