No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2
Chapter 16: Wide-Eyed, Wrapped in Love (Part 6)

Wade Wilson left his post and he started heading toward the center of the space. Dr. Stephen Strange was there in the middle, and his baby brother was toward his left hand side.

Seeing Victor Strange amused Wade, but the mercenary kept his cool. He was all smiles beneath his mask, because something interesting was happening up ahead toward the group.

Natasha Romanov wasn't particularly interesting, but she was telling the fancy archer Clint Barton that the two of them were going to take over babysitting Howard and Maria Stark.

Natasha spoke more professionally of course, but Wade read between the lines. His smile got a bit bigger, because Clint Barton did something that was a bit unexpected.

Wade watched him pretty closely. The baby archer told Natasha that he'd follow her lead, but he had to do something first.

"Field Agent" Clint Barton breezed right by Ezekiel Stane when he finally walked up, and he casually put something in Victor's hand.

Victor looked a little puzzled. Dumbstruck. Speechless. Deadpool watched the entire exchange with interest. The archer gave Victor something, and he told him something in a super soft voice.

The only person who had a crystal clear view was Stephen. He was standing directly beside his brother, so…

He could see that Victor's friendly boyfriend-roommate was giving him his set of keys to their apartment. Stephen even heard Clint Barton tell Victor that he was going to have his things removed…

Victor was a bit beside himself. Wade turned his head to the side and he tried to find an accurate word to describe his face. There was definitely confusion going on there, but the perfect word for it escaped the mercenary.

The Sorcerer Supreme wasn't surprised by Clint's behavior at all. To anyone that actually knew Victor, it was very clear that he still had some unresolved feelings for Ezekiel…

The proof was all over his face, and it became obvious pretty quickly. Ezekiel had stepped toward the group, but he showed little to no emotion about what he could see.

He witnessed Victor's friendly boyfriend/roommate give him something. Ezekiel even watched the archer leave with Natasha, but Ezekiel's expression remained the same.

Victor's expression changed multiple times. He was somewhat oblivious to how obvious he could be.. his feelings and face betrayed him. The baby sorcerer couldn't really look at Clint as he left either, so he just glanced down at the set of keys in his hand.

"We're you just dumped? Whoa, that sucks."

Wade's playful voice chimed in. He gave a goofy laugh too, and Victor took a moment to process what was actually said. He heard Deadpool's fucked up voice, and he wanted to punch him right in his fucked up mouth.

Victor snapped a look in his direction.

An anger rose up within him and he gripped the bullshit keys that were in his hand. He wanted to send Deadpool flying, again, but…

"Agent Barton asked to leave on a special assignment. I'm pretty sure he'll be gone for a while."

Ezekiel actually spoke like a leader. He sounded like, Steve Rogers, or something and he actually spoke to the small group. Victor's focus snapped over toward him, because he spoke, so…

He seemed very different. He seemed, more mature. Victor kept thinking it over. His eyes were tired in that moment, but the baby sorcerer kept them locked onto Ezekiel's smug yet suddenly mature looking face.

"WHOA, good for him. Wanna ditch this shit?"

Wade was bored. He always spoke playfully, tho, and his body sorta squirmed it's way over more toward Ezekiel.

Victor started feeling even more pissed off. He hated Wade Wilson and he wanted to end him right then and there..

Ezekiel kinda smirked. He also had this roll to his eyes as he acknowledged what Deadpool said. The "White Jackal" didn't acknowledge it with words, he just gave Wade a playful look.

The look he gave really bothered Victor, so he forced himself to glance up at his brother. Stephen kept quiet, but he gestured in the direction toward the nearest exit.

Stephen's first thought had to do with Victor getting a grip on his behavior, so he gently pushed his little brother in the complete opposite direction of Ezekiel and Wade.

Deadpool mentioned something again about leaving, but Ezekiel kept watching Victor as he left the venue with his brother.
Truth be told, Ezekiel wasn't sure what happened, or what he actually witnessed. He could only assume a few things, based on what he observed.
