No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2
Chapter 20: Wide-Eyed, Wrapped in Love (Part 10)

Victor Strange was in a bit of disbelief.

Some "crime lord" named Ezekiel came out of nowhere. He friggen hijacked the conversation between the Strange brothers, then he politely asked if he could talk to Victor.

Plus, Ezekiel also made it snow. Which was bizarre. Victor pondered that for a moment or two, until his older brother took control of the scene around them.

Stephen said he needed to head back to his family, and he actually said it would be good for the two of them to talk. Say what?

Victor blinked pretty quickly after that remark. His brother's tone was all mellow, and borderline happy. Ezekiel remained in the same place as Stephen spoke.

The "White Jackal" planned to wait for some sort of response, because he was very used to the way Victor processed information.

"This means goodbye for now, Victor."

Stephen tried to shake something loose with his words. Victor was just standing there, and he was staring at Ezekiel. The baby Strange processed the moment in front of him. He swallowed down his thoughts and he forced his focus back toward his brother.

"Tell Clea I said hello, and please hug Sofia for me."

Victor caught the drift that his brother wanted to leave, and that was.. ok. He could talk to Ezekiel about, whatever. Victor wasn't sure what to say at that point, and he didn't know what to expect.

He felt a gentle hug from his brother, then he stared at the light from his portal back to the Dark Dimension. Ezekiel's eyes quickly focused on the energy that the portal emitted as well.

It fascinated him for a moment, but then it all faded away. Ezekiel was left staring at Victor, and the two of them remained silent for a moment.

The snow he created was beginning to stick, so Obadiah's son started glancing around at the small businesses perched around them.
"You, you're just out and about right now… in public. Does that mean, things are safe?"

Ezekiel normally remained indoors. His life was always in danger, so the two of them weren't able to have a normal relationship. Victor began to ponder that, because Ezekiel was standing right in front of him without any armor on, he seemed content and chill.

"I'm using the snow. It's telling me everything that's going on around us."

Safe was an interesting word. Ezekiel gave his brief response, which served as an explanation for all the snow. He was being sent intel on anything that moved over it.

"Do you feel safe?"

Victor's voice was normally soft. He started staring down at the snow when Ezekiel actually spoke. Truthfully, Victor knew they had a lot to talk about and work out. His question was gentle, and he was way more than curious.

Ezekiel seemed very different. Victor had a hard time looking at him, but he snuck in several glances when he could.

"I trust myself and my tech, so yes. I feel safe right now."

Hearing that brightened Victor's mood a bit. He looked up just as Ezekiel stepped toward one of the buildings toward his left. It was a small dive bar, and he figured Victor could use a drink.

He gave Victor a small smile, then he made his way into the bar. Ezekiel was certain Victor would follow his lead.
