No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2
Chapter 21:Silver Poetry(Part 1)
…
"Me being honest opens up a can of worms that I don't think you're ready for, Steve."
…
Bucky Barnes followed Steve Rogers toward the front door of his apartment. The blonde shared that space with Tony Stark, who was presently doing his best to settle his nerves by taking a shower.
Steve heard the shower when he opened the door. He also heard Bucky's comment, so he stopped.
Steve had put up with Bucky's dishonesty for years. Time and time again, the blonde found himself dealing with Bucky lying about his feelings.
He lied all the time when they all were living in Kathmandu, and Steve felt like he was drawn into a lust-filled confusing mess. That mess transformed into Bucky tormenting Tony for another set of years for some reason, and now?
Steve dropped the keys to the apartment into the small bowl that was beside the door. He walked into the space he shared with Tony, then he looked back at his friend.
"I'm about to drop kick that can of worms if you don't get yourself to some sort of point."
Steve actually glared at Bucky, and the not-so-winter soldier tried not to grin. Steve looked maddddd. Super mad, and it was ….
Bucky swallowed down the thought. To shift the tide, he figured it was best to give the blonde something. Steve watched his friend turn his head toward the right side of the apartment.
While the two not-so-broke boys from Brooklyn kept yapping, Tony finished showering and he got himself ready for bed. That meant Tony was wearing his favorite pair of red shorts, and he had a black towel draped over his shoulders.
That was it.
The smaller brunette thought nothing of it, and he walked into the area where Steve and Bucky were standing. Both of them were silent, and the vibes in the space caused Tony to stop walking.
Tony's focus quickly locked onto Steve's demeanor. He could tell immediately that Captain America was in the room, so Tony drew in a slow breath.
Bucky understood that he was supposed to arrive at some sort of point, for Steve. The blonde really looked lethal in that moment, so Bucky decided to finally show some honesty.
He was staring at Tony, just like Steve, but the taller brunette decided to approach him. Bucky touched the towel first as he stepped in close.
Steve was surprised to see how gentle Bucky was when he eventually touched Tony's skin. His best friend actually touched Tony's body, and Steve started witnessing a kiss develop between them.
Tony seemed very shocked at first. His eyes opened wide, like globes, but then the shock of it all settled. Everything slowed down, then suddenly… everything picked back up. Steve watched the two of them kiss, then he gently swallowed down his nerves.
That shit had been building up for months, and the blonde noticed every single step. Tony backed out of Bucky's advance for a sec. I mean, he had to, and he quickly looked over at Steve.
Tony knew some shit was going to go down eventually, but he didn't feel prepared for it at all. Bucky kept pretty quiet as Tony crossed the space in the room. The smaller brunette pressed his burning face against Steve's arm.
Steve glanced down at Tony's hair. He barely dried off from his shower.
"Would you like me to continue being honest, Steve?"
Bucky Barnes went against his own logic, and he decided to test Steve's patience instead.
