No-One But You (The Mystic Consultant) - Part 2

Chapter 32: Sunset (Part 2)

Ok people...

The first order of business was to get everyone properly dressed for the occasion. Tony thought of that as soon as he felt Donna Strange's energy head west. She spoke to "James," then she left the men to their own devices. Tony pondered how the four of them planned to get everything started.

Steve Rogers must have read his mind, or something, because the golden boy explained to Victor and Ezekiel that they couldn't train in the clothes they were wearing. Victor glanced down at his normal clothes and shoes. He was wearing a jacket too, because it was pretty chilly for all of them back in New York. Steve knew that, so he reminded Victor that they had clothes to train in.

Oh yeah… the baby Strange gave Steve a blank stare. Victor played follow the leader for a long while, then he slowly changed his clothes. Ezekiel was given a tour of the Kamar taj at the same time, can you believe that? Victor gnawed on his bottom lip as he thought about it. He never imagined the scenario happening before…

Victor had spent his time trying to understand Ezekiel's world, and somehow find a place for himself within it. Now, all of a sudden, that crime-lord ex boyfriend of his was being escorted around the training grounds for the Mystic Arts. Steve gave Ezekiel a short tour, and Bucky Barnes learned a thing or two as he tagged along.

He barely remembered the space. Bucky recalled having to scrub floors or whatever, and he also recalled spending quite a bit of time in Steve's room. Bucky recalled how small the beds were, but they made it work. His thought was interrupted when Bucky caught a glimpse of something fiery toward his right. Tony Stark stepped out of his hiding place for just a moment…

Tony placed four wooden training sticks in four holes that were randomly in the dirt. Those holes were set just beside the training grounds, and Steve's significant other didn't say shit. Bucky almost laughed at that snobby tease….

Tony did look up tho. He took in all the karate kid shit that was about to happen, then he left. Tony retreated back to his precious workspace, so Bucky Barnes whipped his head in Steve's direction. He briefly wondered if the power couple were secretly beefing, because Steve was behaving as if Tony wasn't there. Steve Rogers didn't flinch. Bucky watched the soldier boy as he continued to talk to Victor and Ezekiel.

How adorable, Steve was in teacher mode. Bucky almost laughed again and he found himself migrating his way to the dirt. He stepped over to a random line that was prominent over the dirt, then Steve slowly walked up to him. Steve stopped beside Bucky, but his focus was on his happy little students. Victor and Ezekiel were dressed to train in those dojo robes, and so was Steve.

The blonde mentioned that Bucky wasn't listening at all, and that he was clearly spacing out. Steve spoke of Bucky needing to defend himself against the energy that was about to be produced through his hands.

Ezekiel cracked a smile when Steve brought his fists upward. He spoke of channeling energy and applying it to a physical attack, then he quickly jammed both of those fists right in the center of Bucky's torso.

Victor watched Bucky's body as he was shot clear over to the opposite side of the training grounds, while Ezekiel focused on the bright energy that appeared around Steve's hands. Luckily, a wall stopped Bucky from flying off the distant cliff. The baby Strange had to contain his laughter, cuz Bucky Barnes pried his way up into a seated position. The best friend suddenly realized why he was there, and his reaction was to try and catch his breath.

Steve told Bucky that he warned him four times. Steve had a smirk on his face when he said it too, so Bucky brushed off all the dirt that came with the hit. He was given the super-soldier serum as well, so the not-so-winter soldier wasn't obliterated after the attack. He looked down at his ribs tho. Bucky checked them out to make sure they weren't broken.

"Oh, oh, OKAY. I see what's going on here Steve."

"Do you? Let's go.."

Steve looked ready to scrap. Bucky took a moment to actually contemplate the entire situation. He began to wonder if his involvement was actually necessary? Was he really needed there at the Kamar, what's it called? Bucky pried himself up to his feet as he looked over at Steve. The golden boy was very ready to utilize his best friend and show Ezekiel and Victor a thing or two about the Mystic Arts. His fists were back up in a fighting position too, more like, a boxing position.

An apprehensive grin began to spread over Bucky's face, I meannnnnn….. Steve seemed to be in a bit of a mood.

"What exactly do you plan on showing them, today? Right now?"

"I've already told you, four times."

Great. Bucky just about choked as he fixed his stance. He pushed his left foot around in the dirt for a good while. The taller brunette kind of had to, because he had absolutely no idea what Steve Rogers had going on in his head.

"I was thinking they could run some exercise drills, or something. They both need to bulk up, build up their strength, and, this seems a bit advanced."

"Drills will come later, Bucky."

Steve was on a mission it seemed, so Bucky gently cleared his throat. He glanced over at the baby Strange, who was standing beside the baby Stane. They both looked a little more than innocent standing there, witnessing his eventual demise. Bucky swallowed down a thought or two and he picked up one of those sticks that Steve's bambi-eyed lover randomly brought up from the dark depths of hell.

Bucky did his best to prepare himself for the obvious reckoning that he probably deserved… probably.
